Great little pub in the local community of Hanover

Nice for a pint. Pool table downstairs. Garden out back for smoking. If only beer was half the price I would go back often.

Great experience, homely environment and great tall staff member, really hard worker doesn’t disappoint. Howard and Martha gun two of my favourite pub couldn’t have any complaints will be returning

Came with the family for Sunday lunch. We had a warm welcome, good music and a relaxed vibe. Kids went straight to the games with dobble and chess on the go, not a moment of boredom. The food ... wow, it was unreal! The perfect roast was had by all. Sizes are generous and it was cooked to perfection. Mr fussy was also catered for and the roast was adjusted to his taste. Would definitely recommend!

A great pub with decent food and the rare addition of a Pool table and toads. This would be a 5* but the beer selection has changed for the worse recently sadly. Standard offerings like Beavertown and Gun have taken over from more interesting craft breweries making it more like one of the many indigo chain pubs that litter the city. Hopefully it's just a phase and they can get back to some good Craft beers soon as it's a fantastic venue.

New owner, new name. Now called The Howard. Nicely decorated, with friendly staff. The menu is a bit disappointing though. Not great for vegetarians. More burgers (sigh) and SE Asian fusion snacks that you can get in sooooooo many places in Brighton already.

Friendly, welcoming- wonderful new addition to the Hanover , Brighton pub scene- open two weeks . Lower level garden area decked out (literally) a snooker table too (or pool can’t tell I don’t play - not in the garden I hasten to add!) …from my quick visit the tapas menu is not to extensive and prepared from an open kitchen in full view of punters excellent quality, tasty - gorgeous beetroot hummus, highly recommend halloumi fries as a snack any time ! Falafel great taste I’d suggest a tzatziki or yogurt dressing as an accompaniment with this too…give it a go …..it’s got bags of potential serving food 7 days a week from 4pm weekdays 12pm Saturdays and roasts Sunday 👍👍👌

Staff super friendly and helpful, and set up well for safe atmosphere. A nice choice of beers and food to boot. Support your locals.

The ‘Prawns In Blankets’ are so good that when I accidentally dropped my last one on the floor I picked it up and ate it. 5/5. Very fresh Thai food, surprisingly for a pub.

A friendly & cosy pub in Hanover with a good selection of beers. Visited on Sunday for a roast with friends, and was disappointed by the poor quality of the lamb used. My friends vege nut roast was excellent though. Hope to try again soon.

Perfect ambience, top ales and the Thai food is the best I have had so far to date. Extremely aromatic and not overpowered with sugar like most western Thai food providers. Get down here!!

Beer deal gets you in but there is plenty more on offer including goid draught beers and Thai grub. A favourite of mine for Friday post work beer(s!!)

Great Thai food and beer on tap at a reasonable price. Much bigger than itt looks and a nice little outside area. Staff have been chatty, fast and generally great.

Some decent prices drinks, including Grolsch on tap for £3.00, all day, every day. Some more expensive and tasty options, like Blue Moon, too. Reasonably priced and tasty Thai food, cooked in an open plan kitchen.
