We had a lovely dinner at Chamuyo. We ordered the Bife ancho medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. They have a nice range of sides, such as the spinach and the mushrooms. We also ordered the grilled cheese and even if it is not served as you would get it in Argentina or Uruguay (in a round kind of tray), it was great.

The local and it lived up to its rating. Friendly and always available staff. The quality of the meat was sublime! Grilled to perfection, it could be cut with a fork.

Our family of three ordered fillet steak, pasta of the day and lamb chops recommended by the restaurant. The lamb chops ordered by my wife are a bit over-cookrd. Mydaughter left some spaghetti in the dish. The fillet steak I ordered was specially cut by the restaurant itself and cannot be considered authentic fillet. It has tendons and small bones inside, but the roasting statue is quite perfect.

Great food with really friendly service. Okay location. Easily reachable by foot, but parking is lacking.

Visited a while ago, going back very soon. Megan, the manager, was so welcoming, friendly and professional. Very knowledgeable too. Nothing was too much trouble, even my partner's complex allergies. Compliments to the chef, the sample platter was cooled to perfection. And amazing produce. Wine recommendations also on point 👌 Overall, a fantastic food experience in a lovely little restaurant, with a great team of staff. Highly recommended 🙏

We booked at Chamuyo to celebrate our son’s graduation. We had a fantastic time, we all had steaks which were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The restaurant was really chilled with attentive service. I would 100% recommend Chamuyo and we hope to get a chance to visit them again.

Came in yesterday for dinner & was greeted by the manager who was lovely & then served by Kayley and Esther who were very attentive and fast despite the restaurant being busy. Our food came quickly and everything was delicious. I ordered the fillet cooked rare and highly recommend. Will definitely be returning here

Just the best steak I've eaten outside of London. It's a small intimate venue, which adds to the character. If you love steak you simply have to eat here...it's amazing!

Visited on Saturday night at the end of June for anniversary dinner. Friendly greeting at door from a gentleman we presumed to be the manager, quickly seated. Waitress Meghan was brilliant very attentive, told us about specials and came across very approachable. When restaurant became busier with a large party sat near us we were not forgotten about. Food was excellent. There was a mistake with one of our dishes. Staff were extremely apologetic and quickly offered to rectify the issue. After the small mistake the manager visited our table to personally apologise and also apologised again on the way out remembering what had happened despite the place being very busy. Genuinely had us feeling like they cared about our experience. Excellent food, outstanding staff.

This place is distinctly average. I was hoping for an upmarket steak restaurant and was left feeling disappointed. Dining room has a run down feel and needs an overhaul. Tables are tiny and packed together. Flooring looks dated with a different section of flooring under the window and our table was sticky and peeling. Bread and butter was offered FOC but consisted of 3 small slices of un-warmed cheap white Sainsbury's baguette with a knob of basic butter. Calamari starter was stringy and consisted of more breadcrumbs than calamari. Also wasn't a great deal of it. Steak was nicely flame cooked although it should have been rested more before serving. Tiny portion of cheap blue cheese sauce. Chips nicely done. One member of the staff has a rather casual / scruffy style and referred to our table (female partner and I ) as " you guys". Food was fine but I felt that I could have cooked the same dinner at home to a better standard and we left feeling that we'd have got the same food /ambience level at a much cheaper venue.

1st time here and really enjoyed it. Nice chorizo in wine and squid to start followed by the larger ribeye.

Only suitable for locals. The only thing we liked was the blood sausage. Gas grill. The empanadas tasted like curry. The attention and the atmosphere are good although no one Argentinian attending.

A wonderful choice of first class meat.

Meagan and her team were amazing and went to town to make my partners birthday as special as possible. The steak was some of the best we've ever eaten and the chips were cooked to perfection. We really had such a great time thanks to these lovely ladies, dessert was free for the birthday boy , they sang happy birthday and he even got a card. Not had customer service like this in years and would recommend this steak restaurant to anyone. We had only one night in Brighton so I cant thank Meagan enough for such a great experience, we'll be back!!

Went here for my partners birthday meal. Ordered the meat sampler for 2 (4 steaks: rump, sirloin, rib eye and fillet). All were amazing and cooked to perfection. Had the churros for dessert and they were really nice too!

At 6pm we booked a table for 3 at 9pm. We arrived 9 minutes early to find the place was full. Sunday night and everywhere else was closed apart from a pizza joint. The young female waitress offered us the smallest table available, which was barely able to seat two, and she had to pull it out of the corner into which it was packed and proceeded to block any passage past it. We refused and, on the way out, an older gentleman appeared and said that other people would be leaving soon if we waited. Nobody looked ready to leave - except us. Never to return.

Everything about Chamuyo is great - a very understated and unassuming place, that serves the best steak in Brighton, without any doubt at all. The Rib-eye Special (Churrasco De Ancho) is the one to go for - it is very special indeed. All of the sides were great - we had Chunky Steak Chips and Sauteed Spinach. If you're feeling peckish, then order the calamari to start - it was epic! If you haven't been, get yourself down there - it will not disappoint!

We went as a group of nine and so we pre-ordered which made it easy on the night. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible, so well cooked and we said afterwards it was some of the best steak we’ve had. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really good and we all had a great night out.

The staff were really wonderful and made it a nice birthday celebration for my hubbie. It is ‘rustic’ and the food was ok - not quite as special as we had expected.

Last night, we wanted to celebrate our Dad’s 1st birthday in heaven so we decided to book a table at Chamuyo. We fancied eating steak since it was our dad’s favourite and came across this restaurant. The food was great! Compliments to the chef! Chamuyo is the perfect place to celebrate such memorable event. I can absolutely recommend this place. The service was 10/10 and we couldn’t be more appreciative to everyone at Chamuyo with what they did for us last night.. They even gave us flowers! The most wonderful ribeye steak with various starters.

Amazing food, service was outstanding and great value for money. If you like steak this is a must go if in Brighton. I visit here a few times a year and this I always end up going here. Meat sampler with a few sides is great and get a few different cuts of beef.

We have been here a few times now and not only is it the best steak I have eaten but the staff are amazing and there is little waiting time. You get more than your moneys worth and will go back again.

ordered the rib eye steak, and it was delicious, the chips side and the mushroom sauce were also great. i would say that the plate wasn’t that nicely presentable, but the fact that it was so tasty makes up for it lol. the atmosphere is really lovely although it’s quite a small place so the tables are very near each other which can be awkward, with the people next to you are so close and feeling like they can hear your conversations.

If you are looking for a great place to eat, look no further. We stumbled by chance onto this restaurant and must say, I have never eaten a better steak than here. The service was so kind and advised us very well!!!! I wished I could give more stars than 5!

I’ve eaten a lot of steaks in my life but this was the best I’ve ever had! Outstanding service and the food was impeccable. Chef Matt came up and explained the meal to us, interacted with the customers and offered recommendations. 10/10 would recommend!

Went here for the valentines day special after trying their groupon deal a few months prior. Amazing food. My only complaint is the table outside was too small to comfortably eat.

Was brought here as a Birthday treat and what a treat it was. The ambience is incredible with attentive but not pushy staff who were all super knowledgable and helpful. The menu choices werevaried as was the price range making this place suitable for all pocket sizes. The service was exemplary and the food was just incredible. I chose the "Tomahawk" steak which was fantastic in taste, size and presentation. Others in the group went for shared platters and everyone raved about ther meals both flavour and quality. Thanks team for making this a highly memorable birthday treat.

I was working down in brighton and stumbled upon this by chance the service was so friendly not over bearing and made you feel very welcome. Now the steak was just so tasty and flavoursome with the chimmicurri sauce ask the staff for recommendations they really know their stuff!! overall a amazing experience I'm trying to make a excuse to go back ALREADY!!

Excellent service, staff were very attentive and friendly. The sharing sizzler platter was great. Had some tough rump steak which they promptly took money off our bill for. Had a very good wine list and even got a glass of bubbly as we arrived! Definitely recommend and would go again!

Wow, what a fantastic steak and chips with the most delicious chimi churri sauce - perfectly cooked steak with fabulous flavours throughout and great service too. If only we weren't so full (we had the enormous 500g steaks!) we would have had a chance to try those desserts too. Thank goodness for an excuse to go back! 😋🤩😍

Lovely, accommodating staff even when very busy. Food is lovely and just proper steak without any faff. The front area that is usually the only part open can be a little crowded on a busy night but I don't think this affected the night at all. Favourite place for dinner in Brighton.

We pre booked for 16 people & they handled a large group very well. We were positioned in a sheltered garden extension (well heated and decorated) The menu was limited slightly due to the larger group but all food was fantastic. From the starters - the best olives we have ever had!!! Mainly steaks but worth ordering off the usual - the chicken was delicious and lamb was a huge portion! They even custom made & decorated a birthday cheese cake. We will be back again for the next birthday occasion :)

After getting Chamuyo as a recommendation we booked in. We were not disappointed at all and highly recommend a visit. The staff are all friendly, welcoming, attentive and just simply amazing. The food is out of this world and what we all described as perfection. If we could give it more than 5 on here, we would. Perfect food, staff and experience.

A little bit away from other restaurants in the city but well worth checking out. Service was excellent friendly and helpful from start to finish and the food was superb. On warmer days there is a nice outside patio at the back too.

We all agreed that everything we chose was of a high standard & cooked to our specs👍👍. We definitely left replete & set up for our ' up close ' marathon gig with FBS in Hove. We shall return..😊😊

We held our work Christmas meal here on Saturday evening. Food & service were amazing, we had our own private dining area & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Halimah for helping me organise the meal & ensuring everything ran so smoothly.

In tre mood for a good steak so hotel recommended this Argentinian strakhouse and we were not disappointed! Service by Halimah was prompt and welcoming and the place was busy for a weekday evening (Weds). 2 of us dining, chose 1 sirloin and 1 ribeye medium-rare and shared. Both delicious and perfectly-cooked but the ribeye inched to the lead! Chips and grilled vegetables + chimichurri sauce completed a lovely meal reminiscent of one of our best meals in Patagonia - plus a bottle of house Malbec. No room for pud but they looked very tempting. 10% service charge on total but more thsn happy to pay.

3 of us eat here on Friday 1st of December, our first experience and what an experience it was, we didn't reserve but they managed to get a table right in the middle at the entrance, made very welcome by a waitress/manager, we told her it was our first time and she gave us some great informations and suggestions, the wine she suggested was the house wine, very good, easy to drink and it was ideal to go with a selection of steaks that we chose, all cooked to perfection, tender and tasty. We found this restaurant by accident because another messed up our booking. The manager gave us a great welcome and found a vacant table. The food was delicious, the service was spot on and when we move to the area this will become a regular go to restaurant.

Good value for money too. The staff are pleasant, helpful and dedicated to delivering the best service.
