The two parts of the pub are only linked by a tunnel underground which also houses the kitchen and cellar - this may be unique! Both sides of the pub are entirely different inside - one is a more traditional victorian pub whilst the other looks much older with its panelled wals and little snugs. This chain of pubs has its very own range of Badger Beers which are only sold in Hall & Woodhouse pubs, wich I enjoyed. Hot meals of classic pub food, smaller dishes and sandwiches are available at lunchtime and cold bar snacks in the evening when the main menu is not served. The lunchtime food offering includes Sunday roasts. We really loved the atmosphere of both pubs and being able to stand and drink in the street between them.

Used to drink in here allot back in the day. So thoroughly enjoyed revisiting & seeing things were still very similar. Still a great pub in an interesting location. Staff were cheerful & chatty & able to hold a conversation. Beer was spot on & prices weren’t as ridiculous as you see in other venues close by.

Great little pub near Charing Cross. Bit quirky (as it is on both sides of the alleyway) but good beers and decent food that won’t break the bank. Plenty of history on the walls too. On the downside, it’s not big and you may not get a seat a busy times but it’s worth a try. Easy walk from Embankment or Charing Cross stations and a lot more genuine than some pubs in the busier locations.

Best food highlight of the stay. Last day in London, objective was to go to trafalgar square and have lunch in a pub nearby. Searching for something off-the-grid and cheaper, this came up. Totally recomended, for price (london isn't cheap but value for money it was the best deal in 4 days), service (the guy seamed far off in empathy, probably a hard night before :) but impecable in service, pace and cleaning) and taste. Uaw factor, ham and eggs & scotch egges were basic, steack and tangle pie and the sausage and mash were spectacular. Will nevver again say british cuisine sucks :)

This dual pub was the first pub stop on our London holiday. What an adorable place it was. Mostly locals, which is always a good sign. Can't say the bartender was friendly nor accommodating but that was not unexpected. We did get drinks and found a quiet corner to chill/chat before returning to our hotel. Do recommend this spot to others.

This pub is nestled off an alley just off a Main Street. We sat in the upstairs of the bar, and it was a bit quieter than the main pub. I enjoyed it because you felt like you were in an old mariners house from the 1700s. There were old maps and paintings of ships everywhere. You could tell the building was just OLD and wondered about who or what was there before. In terms of drinks, it’s your standard pub selection. I gave the pub 4 starts because of its quaint ambiance and feeling like you were stepping back in time.

Nice enough London pub for a drink. Not the best not the worse. Seriously forget about eating here though, thoroughly disappointing experience. A simple nachos with cheese, £1 extra for chilli was the smallest portion ever. Ok it’s in the smaller dish menu section but for £6.75 I’d expect more than a small dessert spoon of chilli on top of a creme brûlée sized dish of nachos. When there’s plenty of other options significantly better on the doorstep don’t fall into this trap. Enjoy your drink, move on.

Met an old friend here for a couple of pints and the beer (Badgers) that we tried was excellent indeed. This pub isn't exactly hidden but isn't that easy to find either. It is tucked away in Craven Passage (a place name to conjure with if ever there was one) which abuts a residential street and it isn't obvious that it's there. It is interesting in that it is split into two with distinct bars on both sides. The bar to the left as you enter from Craven Street is much the larger but we selected the other, smaller side which is cosy with just a few seats and a tiny bar. If you are lucky enough to get a seat here hold onto it - it is nice place to work one's way though a couple of pints.

This pub is testament to the unique attraction of London as a city which has something around every corner and virtually down every lane and underneath every arch. This pub is unique in that it is two separate buildings on either sides of a narrow archway. One side is larger and rather more bustling because of it. The other side is smaller, more intimate with a lovely snug. The middle ground between both buildings is linked by a human thread of revellers smoking or drinking and enjoying the cosmopolitan and international atmosphere. This pub is nothing more than that really however it does provide you with yet another unique and enchanting place to enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere of this unique city and the way it consumes every unorthodox and obscure piece of available space.

Service: 10/10Ambience: 10/10Wait time: 3minscost: £16 x4 drinksStyle: Historic English PubDrink Choice: "tangle foot"Drink rating: 8/10 Great English pub with a lot of History and a lot of stories my only regret was I didn't have enough time to spend longer here! Only a short walk from the waterfront and the centre of the City, great prices and great beer and spirit selection!! Would definitely return!!!

The only good thing about this place was the views. As a person with gluten allergy , I been told the only thing gluten free on the menu is the steak. For this type of place you would expect to have more of a choice. The steak was not a good quality, rubbery

Causal indoor and streetside space to enjoy a cold beverage. Nicely located off the main street , for a cold beer or glass of wine.
