Incredible venue. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, and there's always a great atmosphere. Shiny brewery produces incredible beer, always innovative. An improving selection of food and snacks only adds to wanting to stay longer.

Really great unique place with beer as good as it gets. Well worth a visit.

Cheap micro brewery&pub , food.

Staff were very friendly here, it was very busy but we were served in good time. The food we ate was not from the brewery but from catering company, which tasted fantastic. It's definitely worth a visit.

Great, quirky little place. Amazing selection of beers and ciders. I had the Shiney lager which is crisp, clean and not too fizzy. Partner had Shortie stout...shortbread stout which was delicious, you could smell and taste the shortbread! Highly recommend.

Nice tap room, good can selection, expensive as expected.

It was great to find a gluten free ale on sale here.. We really enjoyed our 1st visit here, although we didn't eat here on this occasion.. From the meals being served to tables around us, everything looked & smelled amazing!

A very warm welcome + excellent beer and pizza!

The venue was happy for us to reserve a few tables to have a 30th birthday gathering on Friday night, staff were very amenable and friendly. Good choice of beers at reasonable cost. We enjoyed the pre-ordered pizzas and some people were also able to get a pizza on the night. Dog friendly inside and nice outside area.

nice little pub, brew all their own beer and have a great selection. its in a strange place and could be hard to find if you dont use google maps. they do food but only pizzas and they're really nice. defo worth trying this place out

Amazing place. We found this place in October last year. Beers and choice of beers are great. Big fridge with take away beers too. Recently updated pizza menu. It’s our go to place. And we have children. The pizzas are so tasty also. Jazmine is an asset to your team. She really is great! All the staff are good but she stands out for me 5* toilets are always immaculate too. Have entertainment & pop up food shops too.

Lots of different beers on offer, as well as some ciders, wine and spirits. Great prices on Shiny's own beers and none have been bad! They also had a good range of pizzas at a good price, but have food pop-ups too. Nice environment with a big outdoor space that does a good job of not making you feel like you're sat in an industrial estate!

One of the best local breweries so great beer is served, some beer good and plenty of outdoor seating.

Great little pub. V wide choice of beers lagers and ciders and lovely pizzas. Yes it's on a industrial estate but don't let that put you off. It works! Was perfect pit stop for our 6 mile stroll around the area

Went to a party never been here before it was welcoming with clean toilets these are always my test liked the fact you could buy three samples of beer I would recommend

A great place for a long walk, a break in a bicycle trip, or just shopping. A local microbrewery where you can try unusual beers and find something for yourself. Nice atmosphere, nice and knowledgeable service. A friendly place for dogs and their owners.

Great little place and the beer is lovely and reasonably priced. Would love to come back on one of the liver music nights and the pop up kitchens sound great.

Love this place. Great beer Updated Mar 2024: Still fantastic beer, great staff, perfect level of craft/hippie without going over the top. A lot of great food trucks, check out their Instagram for who will be there. I drive 110 miles to visit so it must be good...

Best small brewery going. Staff are always friendly and drinks are on point. Even the pizzas are tasty. Atmosphere is lovely.

It's a brewery tap - what could be fresher? The full range of beers, of course. Would have liked to see a few more on cask.

Nice little brewbery. We all enjoyed the visit, children included ( even if it is not a propper family place but they had a great time ) The only bad point was the food from the van outside. Unless you are obsessed with tortilla chips and jalapeños, i would recommend not spend the 13 £ that the tray costed, you will have also to pay as an extra the "non home made guacamole" ... Pactically almost no meat in the meal. No for that price

Thought we'd try the Tap for a our Friday evening treat. The choice and quality of the beer is beyond reproach. Great fridge full of cans too. The staff are lovely. The Tap does call itself family friendly and that cannot be disputed. There was a table of eight poorly supervised children in the small indoor bar giving the place the feel of a school dining room at the end of term. Since it was past eight in the evening, it did have some effect on the ambience of the place. Can recommend the beer and the staff are very good but it wasn't a place for conversation, quiet or otherwise.

Pizzas are awesome and so is the street food. My new favourite local

Fabulous range of beers. One of the best breweries at the minute and consistently good. . 4 cask lines and 10 keg lines plus cans in the fridge. Cider on offer too all at reasonable prices served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing negative to say whatsoever. Keep up the good work.

A wonderful taproom with friendly staff and great selection on tap but also in the fridges. They have great events on and food vendors often.

Great place for a few cosy ales. Staff knowledgeable about the ales, able to sample the ales before buying. Brewed on site. Dog friendly. Games to play to keep children occupied.

One of the best brewery tap venues we've been to tucked away on and industrial estate but don't let that put you off if you're into beer it's fantastic great mix of friendly chatty people simple unusual outside seating area and dog friendly .. excellent

Hard to find, but well worth the effort, lovely place, friendly staff and super clean toilets, but most importantly smashing beer

Been a fan of their ales for a while now and managed to pop up to their tap room to sample what they have. It didn't disappoint either. Ended up buying a few cans to take home too. As well as the ales they also serve food which I've heard is very nice too they also do events their which we'll be popping along to at some point.

I visited with a friend and we sat outside ad it was good weather. The food we purchased was from the pink nachos stall which was there for the evening. I had a soft drink as I was driving. I did struggle to find the location as its in the industrial estate.

My favourite place to drink. However, I thought it was a bit miserable that the young guy on duty Sunday afternoon refused to stamp my loyalty card when I asked him politely if he would stamp it for a previous round...... Still love the beer though.

Great place! They've done some serious upgrading, and still have a good selection of cans plus a range of draft and cask beers. I love sour beers, and there is always something on offer!

100% my kind of a bar. This is the Shiny Brewing company, with their own bar tagged on. It's exactly what a modern bar should be. Simple. Authenticate. Relaxed. Social. All of this plus an incredible selection of their own on-site brewed beers plus plenty of others. They also have an enormous selection of refrigerated beers to drink or take home. Check it out 👍👍👍

It has a real family feel, for saying it it's a Mecca for real-ale enthusiasts. Does food, great snacks, and superlative array of beers. If it had a few more features of a public house it would have got 5 stars. Definitely worth 4.5

A great tap room with 12 keg and 4 cask beers on draught and with a fridge full of cans to choose from you're absolutely spoilt. The staff were extremely friendly and it was a pleasure to spend some time there. I will be attending again.

A cosy and welcoming atmosphere with great selection of beer and excellent comedy night

Loved this little quirky place for a relaxed drink after a meal at the local Greek restaurant. Bar staff were so helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and lots of fab needs to choose from (and take away!)

Fantastic beers, excellent service and an all round good vibes tap room.

Formally known as Beer Metropolis (that's now the trade side). Massively improved from the early days. Now offering 4 cask pumps in addition to the keg lines, limited selection of spirits, wines and soft drinks, plus peanuts/crisps etc. Heated and insulated now makes a huge difference (you can actually take you coat off). Improved seating plus a decent outside seating area with undercover seating and probably some of the nicest toilets in any pub/bar in Derby. The biggest improvement (as far as beer is concerned) is full cold storage for cans and bottles. A huge range of predominantly UK craft beer is available for on and off sales including limited editions, core range, one offs and collaborations. Be on the lookout for live music nights and food events with food trucks serving some great looking street food. Absolutely dog and child friendly (before 7pm) so turn up and have a beer.

Brilliant taproom for a great brewery. Always enjoy going and trying a couple of the great selection of beers and then taking a few home from the selection of bottles and cans in the fridge. A must visit.

ABSOLUTELY love this brewery Tap. Very helpful knowledgeable staff.When we called in this Saturday the Ales Selection where that good we went back again Sunday to complete a few more. We felt privalaged to repeat the a new Shiny keg not yet even launched!Bouncing with hops with flavours Galore. Plenty of seating both inside and out. Street food pop up looked and smelled divine. Variety of events on music comedy too! all on a chalk board to complete this review . 10 outta 10 A great big thank-you. Cheers

What a nice suprise when we found this taproom. Quirky setting with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There is a good range of beers on tap and an even bigger range in cans to choose from. The beer quality is exactly as you would expect as its made right behind the tap room. Well worth popping in for a few pints.

If you love pubs for the beer they serve, rather than themed decor, this is the place for you. A fabulous choice of craft beers from a wide selection of top brewers is the reason for coming here.... at very reasonable prices. Plus a great range of cans. What isn't to like? There have been recent changes to the pub recently. A new entrance and toilets have increased the amount of room inside. The toilets are really swish bow and love the provision of items in the ladies toilets - a really nice touch.

First time here. Bit surprised at pricey beers as its right next to the brewery. Most expensive round I've paid for in a long time. Cold but music was great.

Wow Shiny Brewery are absolutely amazing.... placed an order at 7.30am today and it was delivered at 9.30am ( free of charge too as my order was over £60) That's what I call outstanding service, I will definitely use these guys again 👍🏻

Good sized taproom serving their own beer as well as guest beers. They also have a fridge with a select of cans from other breweries.

Sufficient car parking, walking in there's a covered seating area on both sides then there's the tap room. Basic seating and facilities, walk in past the fridges with their own and other craft beers. The staff are welcoming and have time for you. That's important in a brewery with SO many Good beers: Fall Out, a classy everyday Ale. Yeah nah nah yeah, excellent you can really taste the banoffee Too many Steve's, had to try it, excellent strong tasting NEIPA with strong tropical fruit flavour. Cherry Pi pastry sour, Excellent strong fruit taste, thankfully, not too sour, another excellent ale. Sorry that's all I tried. If you haven't been n you can get here you have to try it out. If you've been before you don't need my opinion.

Great prices and relaxed atmosphere have been here a few times and will be here again when I get the chance.

Warm welcome for humans and dogs. Great beer. Free dog biscuits. Enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine.

Brilliant selection of beers. Really nice helpful staff. Love the beer garden use of pallets and old kegs with cushions for comfort. Supplied water bowl for the dog on request.

Fantastic tasting beers. I came down from sheffield to visit a friend in Derby and he took me and the beers we had were Lovely. I know good beer when i get it as i run a bar.
