Shimla spice indian restaurant and takeaway in North Lincolnshire

Delivered to me many times , now won't unless £40 order. I'm 10 minutes away! Obviously changed hands for the worse. Won't be getting my custom anymore.

We got a take away delivery. Portions were small in terms of meat content. My special tasted good, but chicken was dry. My wife's karai was bland and runny sauce. Again dry chicken. Dissaponted, not cheap, 90 mins to deliver and charged a rather steep £5 just for delivery. I can see that a lot seem quite happy, but we on this occasion didn't experience this. Update: To add to this review after the very unprofessional response from the owner. Firstly, this was an honest and sincere review, calling someone a liar is very disrespectful and totally unprofessional and the owner should clearly learn some customer service skills. Secondly, this was our first visit and after the response from the owner, we certainly wouldn't give the place a second chance. If the owner, explained that our experience was unusual and offered to make things right, we would have gave the place another try. Take this as a lesson, treat all customers like this and you will have few customers left.

Swimming in grease, 6 pieces of meat the their special (hard and tasteless) sauce like water, tiny naan bread and wasn’t cheap. Used to be good but won’t be wasting my money again

Ordered three mains and three starters, and three different breads. Unfortunately all three of us were still hungry after the meal. Flavours of the mains were ok, but the portion sizes were very disappointing. Paratha was particularly small, and the onion bhaji’s were the size of walnuts. This was my first time using Shimla, unfortunately, it may be my only time.

I've been going to this restaurant for many years and I've got to say I won't be going back anytime soon. The onion bargies which once was amazing were shocking the size of a nut tasteless. The Lack of Lamb vindaloo was also shocking, I managed to find 3 small pieces. Naan bread paper thin and tastless. No desert menu given, no service with a smile and he never once asked if everything was OK. No wipes for our hands as I have had in the past. No wonder its empty!!

I went to this restaurant for an Indian meal tonight as I was passing through town It has 32 covers and there were only 6 people in there when I arrived Service was Slow but I didn't really mind that Pramns in the Puri were overcooked The chicken shashlick had a small number of small very dry pieces of chicken and lots of large pieces of onion that had barely touched the griddle The naan was good All pretty unsatisfactory given that it's probably the only Indian restaurant for a good few miles, hardly any customers there and they could therefore have time to get everything right Very disappointing I did say to the waitress that it was not the best Indian meal I've ever had, unfortunately the owner had gone out so I could not tell him

Edit Sep 21: Delivered food and the lamb curry was amazing. Must’ve been an off day. Food was average at best however, it was ready for collection at the time stated. Girl over the phone said card was OK but they preferred cash. Then guy behind the counter said £15 minimum spend for card payment. Ok price.

This was the worse experience we have had. I really do not understand the good reviews, unless the chef was different on this night of 28/08 delivery. The curries tasted all the same, full of sauce and not much meat, and what meat there was was smal double cooked or overcooked meat. We ordered from a Madras to a tikka and every single one of them had the same based curry sauce and tasted very sweet (full of sugar) The rice also tasted the same which were a mushroom rice, onine rice and a garlic rice. The Nan and Poppadoms were fine. We were three couples and we all felt the same, never again!!

Dont Bother!! Delivery took 1hr50mins, order was missing starters, wrong nan breads, and food was ok at best!! Ive had better supermarket curries and customer service was none existent! I was told i’ll get 50% off my next meal, despite half my meal being wrong this time, no name being taken and 19 calls that rang off before getting through, and no offer to replace it and £47 wasted!
