The delivery was early and very efficient but when I opened the bag the lamb tikka was open and spilt over the bag making it soggie

Ordererd a delivery. Cost over £37 for two we made our own rice and bread too. so two currys one chips and a soggy starter. Curry tastes like soup. I,m not giving these people any more of our money its too easy to make curry stew at home...

Fantastic food, arrived on time.

The quality of the food was ok - one of the curries came damaged, the chips were incredibly salty and the delivery was late.

By far the BEST takeaway we have had in a long time. Was instantly impressed just reading the menu the way it explains what the dishes are. And as for the food it was incredible 👌🏽 lobster was delicious, lamb balti the meat just fell apart as did the lamb in the tikka masala. Will definitely be ordering from here again

Ordered using Uber eats. We are new to the area so wanted to try the local establishments. The starter had more chicken than the main, the keema naan was real sub standard, overall disappointed with the food.

The curry was okay, but not the one I’d ordered. I ordered a chicken tikka balti but received a tikka masala. I’d also ordered a Keema naan but received a plain naan which was very hard and I couldn’t eat. First time we’ve been disappointed with an order from here. The staff here are always so polite too.

Had been here previously, need to take your own booze a# they only sell soft drinks, the popadoms were decent to start, for mains were had a chicken ticka and a chicken shashlick both excellent the chicken really soft and well spiced, shared a rice and a couple of sides great meal, definitely recommend

We come to this rerstaurant around once a month. The staff are always helpful, friendly and welcomming. The food is always fresh, hot and tasty. They always check how much spice i want with each dish as I tend to like mine extra hot sometimes. The care and attention to detail along with the good service and high quality food is why we keep comming back.

The warmest day of the year and we went out for a curry, perhaps not my best idea. It's a nicely presented large room, clean and cool considering they didn't appear to have the air conditioning on. We enjoyed our meal here, all was very good and we had no complaints. The service was a bit functional but I think they were concentrating on a large party. They make a bit of extra effort with the chutney tray which was appreciated. My korai was just a fraction bitter and the wife's balti a "little" thin in flavour but pleasant enough and the chicken in both was excellent. Parking was a short walk away but we don't know the area. It is unlicensed and you can take your own alcohol.

Food arrived 20 minutes late. One main course dish was missing, and I phoned to tell them this. Was told the replacement would take up to 50 minutes to arrive, and it took nearly an hour, which was too late. When we opened the main courses up, one dish was completely wrong, not what we had ordered. It was too late to notify and ask for the correct dish. I have requested a refund for both of these dishes. Really disappointing, we have used Shimla Peppers for eating in and takeaways for years, but not sure we will order again.

Very poor food, korma was water like and tasteless, poppadoms were burnt, nann bread was soggy and undercooked… only highlight were the starters which were both good. Normally the complaint is the food arrives late but is very good on this occasion however it was the opposite 😡

I ordered a lamb pasanda and the lamb was that tough I cudnt eat a single piece,very expensive for just a bit of sauce! And the chips were stone cold and see through with oil...I'm really disappointed

We rang as time said 50mins and I hoped for earlier. The man said he was gona call as given the large order it would take longer. As it was for a work gathering I asked to cancel and on this he said it would be sent early however it never which left us waiting, and no opportunity to cancel. With the food arriving alone we’re cold. The naan was awful, the Peshawar Had no sultanas and the garlic naan tasted plain not much flavour and also some was still dough. Very disappointing

manager of this "restaurant" told me to my face that they should not have to put soap in the toilet, he was rude and just said i didn't wanna pay the bill (i have never not paid a bill in my life), go to india spice the owner works there most weekends and does a great job, his nephew needs to learn what customer service is ........., food was not as ordered the lamb was "chewy" at best, wont go again

We’ve been having takeaway for a number of months now through Uber Eats. Food is consistently good, always hot on arrival and tasty. Tried many dishes, love the Peshwari Naan, Jalfrezi and Balti dishes.

Two couples. All 4 dishes where bland just like the customer service... Only good was that you could bring your own drinks. Wouldn't recommend.

Food an hour late , had to chase twice !!

Not visited Shimlas since my last review 2 years ago, hoping it would have improved back to the standard it once was. Visited today for a pre-wedding night meal (as it’s somewhere the family always used to eat) and unfortunately the service is still awful. Popadoms arrived promptly but as for the rest, I am still waiting for mains 2 hours after arriving. What’s more, the staff were very rude and tried to give away half of the table for 15 we had booked. Extremely disappointed.

Always brilliant. We only ever go here in Bromsgrove. Food always hot, fresh and good value for money.

Collection time was 20:20, arrived on time and told to take a seat and wait. I sat and waiting for 20 minutes without a single member of staff asking me about my order or even checking on my order. After prompting the front of house staff about my order (as another customer was also waiting for his) I finally got my order at 20:50. The food was freshly cooked which means it wasn't even started until after I arrived at the restaurant. The food quality was good but unfortunately the customer service was terrible. Extremely unhappy with the experience and will never use their takeaway again. They should notify their customer through Just Eat of any delays with the order.

This was a special treat for my daughter, she LOVES the vegetable biryani and the naans were fantastic as well. And delivered 10 minutes early, bonus :)

Cauliflower was overcooked and stringy. Chicken was bland. Not enough spice. Delivery man was quite rude when I asked him to bring it up to the first floor stating it was " fast food" I thought it was " delivery service" I don't walk that well hence ordering for delivery. I doubt if I will use this restaurant again

We called in without booking early one Friday evening. It was very quiet but started to fill up a bit later on. The owner and staff are all very friendly and make you feel very welcome. As usual the food was excellent. Well prepared and well presented. It was another enjoyable evening.

Good meal from Shimla Peppers again. Biryani was very good, as were the naan breads. The garlic fried rice was nice but had big chunks of garlic in it, should have been much smaller. The balti chicken tikka masala sadly had almost no flavour at all and not much actual chicken. No spice or heat either, just a red grainy sauce. Really disappointing as dishes we've had previously were great.

not authentic curry. Ordered a fish masala and it was so sweet it tasted like a dessert. Pilau rice also was not authentic

Updated on route then 20 mins later turned up cold. Might as well have a microwave curry. Food when reheated was average.

We have this evening had an awful experience with Shimla Peppers. We have used Shimla Peppers for years both visiting the restaurant and ordering takeaways. Tonight’s takeaway was a disaster. We were sent a starter size for a main meal. Both my Daughter and Wife attempted to contact the restaurant and received appalling responses from whoever answered. It was indifference and rudeness in their response that in my opinion was shameful and needs to be stated. They did not offer or resolve the request or even seem to care. Shimla have lost some very loyal customers.

We ordered a chicken tikka main and only received a starter size portion. Myself and my mom spoke to a gentleman on the phone who was very rude and did not offer a solution. We are regular loyal customers and the person on the phone as not helpful at all.

This restaurant used to be amazing but unfortunately after giving them chance after chance this year in the hope that both the service & delivery would improve we have finally had enough after our order tonight was over 2 hours late & cold yet again. We wanted to support a local business and hoped to have a lovely New Years Eve meal but after arriving so late, the food was ruined and it sadly ruined our plans. We tried numerous times calling but nobody answers the phone. When the food was finally delivered I informed the driver the food was cold I was advised to “take it inside to warm it up”! Again we have tried to call the restaurant and the phone just hangs up. We would like a full refund for this evenings meal please as we are extremely disappointed. Sadly we won’t be using this restaurant or take away service again.
