Really nice curry best I’ve had for ages 👍

Been using shimlas for the last 6 months would highly recommend it to family and friends as their food is fresh and tasty!

Me and my family Really enjoyed the food it arrived on time and was still quite hot I couldn’t make my mind up on what to order so I got the tandoori mixed grill so we could try a variety of things The flavours and spices were perfect I would 100% recommend it Also got some naans with a chicken balti and it didn’t disappoint 8/10 good quality stuff

A bit over priced and nothing special i Had bad belly cramps after eating so I was not happy at all

Do not use this shop I left a negative Google review because the last 3 order had arrived cold & over an hour delivery on quiet nights mid week, I placed another order & had a call & was told to go elsewhere because they didn't want any negative reviews they then cancelled my order. Just beware sometimes there is a lot of salt in the food I mean a lot the food is overpriced for small, meat portions, they take over an hour to deliver cold food just have your microwave on standby!

Food is so very tasty but recently after waiting an hour a time for delivery it's been arriving cold & I'm having to warm it up in the microwave. I can only assume the reason for this is it's been sat at the shop until you have several delivery orders to send out then I'm the last one on the delivery list, it's always an hour (or more for delivery) I only live 2 miles away, If it continues I'll be going elsewhere in the future

food was delivered earlier than expected hot and cooked to perfection. large portions.first time i have ordeted from here but now a firm favourite many thanks

First time ordering curry. Cannot fault at all food delicious and piping hot. No need to waste money and pay for a curry I would give 1 star to across river.. would have to go to top Birmingham restaurant to get this so very very happy .. thank you 😊

Naan bread was to doughy and thick and didn’t have much taste but curry was good

Got good poisoning from the kebab

I’ve been a patron of Shimla since it established, back when it was under Bobbi’s management from Spice Cuisine. I’ve long maintained that their Chicken Tikka is unparalleled. Yet, they’ve somehow managed to elevate their offerings even further. Recently, I noticed they’ve expanded their menu to include curries, compelling me to try one. Opting for a Chicken Tikka Madras, accompanied by Naan bread and a Chicken Tikka starter, I must say, the curry is, in my humble opinion, the finest I’ve encountered in Worcester since the days of Spice Cuisine. In fact, it bore a remarkable resemblance in flavour to Spice Cuisine’s recipes. The Chicken Tikka starter was, as anticipated, exemplary. However, their Naan bread does require some improvement. It seems they’re not freshly made on the premises but merely reheated, which is rather disappointing. Additionally, they offer a chutney tray on the menu, yet there’s a noticeable absence of poppadoms to accompany it, which seems like a missed opportunity. Furthermore, the lack of a Chicken Pakora starter strikes me as a potential area for menu enhancement.

Wrong order totally. When ordering online they need to get it right. We have one every week but gets worse with wrong orders

I was very pleased with my order on 4th December 2021. It was delivered hot! The nann was soft fresh and tasty as was the meats (mixed kebab) and when you chose your sauce it had sauce on! Very flavoursome will deffinatley return again. The fries were lovely and fresh too! They were the skinny fries (which generally I am not keen on) but we're soft and fresh. Unlike hard and crispy that I've had before at other takeaways. Excellent! And thank you for solving a small issue straight away.

I have heard about this place for a couple of years but have only ordered today for the first time. I am soooo impressed. Best food in Worcester by far. No lie. My son is so fussy about his burgers but he loved it. I had to phone them to tell them how good it was. Will definitely order again from them. One extremely happy customer who will spread the word.

ordered 3x tikka kebab and tikka wings, all were very bad, not tasty, not enough quantity and not at all satisfying to eat. Wings were full of food colouring and feels wrong in the stomach. from my experience i wouldn't buy from here again.

I've had a few takeaways and average them a 4 stàrs, usualy it's good quality, not quite exellent, but good. Normally.

The food was cold and they forgot my dips when I ordered it was late and it didn't tsste nice at all, wasn't sure if I would be interested in going there again for the same disappointment in dissatisfied order.

Ordered take away as a treat last night. Shimla arrived well within advised time and the food was beyond delicious. The lamb tikka melted in my mouth!

This place used to be amazing. I don’t know where it’s all gone wrong but after being a loyal customer for several years, I won’t be ordering again. Tonight, I ordered a lamb tikka in nan with salad and a couple of sauces. There was only a small portion of meat in a large nan bread, and a tiny portion of salad. It wasn’t always this way. It was tasty but the portion was very small compared to how it used to be. I also ordered cheesy chips. They were only just cooked, pale and soggy. It was delivered by Deliveroo even though I ordered through the Shimla app and service wasn’t exactly with a smile. They’ve had their heyday. They are poor compared to the competition these days sadly. Get yourself a proper kebab and head to Kebabland.

lovely food i said an accidental thing about the staff they have been joke fully and friendly towards me what i said about them was a complete mistake honestly we enjoy our football talks when we have minutes to spare and talk i overacted with sensitivity since im autistic never deliberate

Chased them up 2 hours after ordering the food, 1 hour after it was supposed to turn up. Had to cancel as was so late. Refunded bit no attempt to keep me as a customer. Won't return.

Poor quality food, hardly any donner meat on a mixed kebab. Delivery driver was aghast when I asked him to wait whilst I checked my order. They have got my order wrong before so surely I’m within my rights to ask him to wait. £10 for a kebab delivered from a ‘kebab’ shop.......... well......

OLD REVIEW - The food is brilliant sadly the delivery is the slowest I have ever known. It's Thursday night and been over an hour still no sign of the food. Not a 1 off either exactly the same last Thursday I was told the drivers car had broken down last week I wonder what has happened this week. Time for a change I think.

Used to be a very good takeaway, unfortunately I assume someone has taken it over who doesn't have a clue how to run it! We returned from a hospital visit this evening and ordered food from here, food took over an hour, then order was wrong, then refused to refund for the incorrect delivery. Staff are the rudest and stupidest people you will ever deal with. Lots of choice in Worcester so just stroll by this small wannabe gangsta takeaway. That's right as others have stated if you question the dumb idiot who answers the phone he trys to be intimidating on the phone sadly these tactics really won't work on me little boy. If the people in there were the gangsters they thought they were on the phone or punching and then running away from middle aged customers I doubt they would be cooking chips on a Sunday night 🤣

I ordered a platter. Delivered before the quoted time. Food was lovely . Kudos to the fact that they give the naan and sauce separately so that I don't get a mush. Please note the salad was much more than pictured.

This place is ish, if I eat here I look to see which staff are in as I caught one laughing all over the salad. If he's in I avoid. The takeaway also illegally charges 50p surcharge on card transaction below £5.

This is the best place we've ordered kebab from in Worcester since we moved here, however there are a few things to be aware of which would earn extra stars. 1. If you're ordering from their website beware of the bbq option if you don't like donner meat, because that's what that means. We ordered it by mistake thinking it was sauce as it wasn't very clear. My wife ordered the special grill and found it covered in donner which turns her stomach. 2. Don't expect them to take responsibility for a mistake. When we called them about this their attitude was that we ordered it, so we had to lump it and remember not to choose it next time, instead of admitting that it could have been made clearer on the website and offering to sort it out. It's a shame that we even have these issues as the kebabs are great, but at least it's a customer service issue which is easily solvable rather than a product quality one which would be harder.

Every time we order from here it is amazing! Not the healthiest but it is lovely for a treat. Highly recommended

Great food, shame we can’t order it. Just eat showing offline, and shimla is hanging up and ignoring the phone when you call back after numerous attempts. Poor performance.

For the type of outlet the food is reasonable, it's a little slow and was surprisingly cold (25 minutes waiting inside) Sadly, one of the staff members on more than one occasion has been openly belligerent toward us, I noticed by reviews below other customers have noticed a bad attitude.

Having tried 5 other google rated kebab places in Worcester this is my favourite for shish kebabs. Added bonus of seating and tables. Parking in sainsbury car park to the rear is 2 mins away.

I visited Shimla with my family today, everyone loved the tandoori kebabs. The kids doner meat and chips were the perfect size for an extremely hungry 9year old boy

Not your average kebab shop food cooked to order emphasis on quality. My first visit had a Sultan kebab chicken and lamb tika on a garlic naan price 7.99 it took about 15 mins but was well worth the wait . Shop was very busy on deliveries and packed inside. That was monday about 6pm. The server was polite and chatty the food to die for back today gona try the mix grill. You have to try it . Finally a quality kebab shop in Worcester. Brilliant

Use these guys loads. Food is always delivered quick by friendly drivers and is always super hot. I always ask for onion and garlic mayo in the additional info bit which they always read. Def best around. Xx

If you are looking for shish kabab, this is your place. While pricey, the mixed grill is a thing if beauty. Easily enough to feed two, even if you a fatty like me.

I have eaten here on several occasions, kebabs are great, service is always friendly and good value for money. The Sultan Kebab is my personal favourite give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Lies, lies and cold food that I was made to feel like it was my fault!! I feel sorry for the delivery driver delivering stone cold food and when I asked for it to be rectified I was told the driver was busy so come pick it up yourself!! Customer service to its best

Use Shimla a lot always good tasty food portions are big and always delivered before the advised time we have tried most things on the menu and found all to be excellent quality never had a problem with food being cold as stated in other reviews try them for yourself you won't be disappointed.

Been there a few times now and really impressed with the kebabs. A major plus point is that they freshly handmake their naans, wraps, pittas etc. They are cheaper than usual too ;) They have brought fresh light to Worcester in the art of kebab making!

Poor poor service for a regular customer. Negative feedback and low score all over extra sauce. Never ordering from you again. Please train your staff in customer service.

I have waited to review this place after trying their food several times, just to be sure.....WOW!!! It's consistently beautifully cooked, tasty and timely delivery. I usually have the mixed kebab - the salad and sauces are great quality, fresh and very, very tasty! They have always got our order correct. Oh, and as others have commented....the naan bread is amazing, never dry....probably the best naan in Worcester. Really pleased with this place - definitely a boost for St Johns. Keep doing what you're doing guys :)
