Shere Khan Express in Trafford

This place isn’t great , I ordered a garlic nan bread and rice and never got them . Disappointed

Purchased a drink from here yesterday and was accused of stealing it even though I had a receipt and paid for it. The girl behind the counter didn't have the courtesy to speak English to me whilst disputing. Service was slow serving my mother, also mixed chicken pakoras with fish. What if she was allergic to fish? I hope this place shuts down, overpriced and service and quality resembles what is produced in the toilet. Never going here ever again, and this used to have big ques back in the day. I hope it closes down and Trafford centre replaces it.

Very very very bad experience 1st time I try shere khan. I put my all food in bin because I can't eat that no taste no quality. rice is zero not fresh. I don't know why people buy that I'll never ever buy very disappointing I waste my money my time my day 😪😪 I Want to say more........

It's the worst place ever. This place needs to be shut down immediately. I have had way better currys from supermarket. This place has to be a joke ordered chicken jalfrazi and rice, hardly any curry. Just avoid this place and go to chiawala which is around the corner.

Always loved the food at this place, always get the lamb karai and rice, but it’s gone complete down hill. The rice is more or less uncooked hard grains and literally a drop off curry with few meat pieces. For £10.50 it’s ridiculous.

I had the shish kebab sandwich. The taste was not too bad, but then the heat came through. Then I had a stomach ache, for the rest of the evening. Way too much spice, and very pricey too £8.50. In good conscience I couldn't recommend this place.

The worst chicken tikka I’ve had in a year! They dropped the chilli powder in the dish , the prices keep going up and the service quality drops every time more and more ! I think overall the food court in TC is going downhill and soon they will all be out of bussiness as people would only have so much they’ll put up with. Shame it used to be enjoyable, not anymore

Got the half BBQ chicken and salad. Salad was 75p and consisted of half a tub of shredded lettuce, one pickled green chilli, 1 cherry tomato, some bits of cucumber. The chicken....OMG... it was tasteless. There was no BBQ taste let alone anything else!!!!

Total rip-off, £10.50 for a bowl full of watery curry mix and five small chicken pieces the size of a penny. Customer service is questionable also!

2nd Time been to this place and each time it gets WORST! Overpriced shocking customer service! If I could have given it zero stars I would have. The lamb seekh kebab seemed to be of Rubbery and very poor quality, with an unpleasant odor indicating that they might have been many days old. Curry with rice was terrible with rice smelling and only few chicken pieces in it. Will never go again! The girl with glasses was very RUDE! When serving us.

The only halal place to eat from only Allah knows, service over counter could be better feels like being rushed when ordering, but for that price they could of included a drink with the meal offer because the portions are small, the taste of food is alright only downfall is busy times it’s annoying to find seating.

For the last few times when I've visited the Trafford Centre, I've mixed things up by avoiding the usual places to eat (KFC, Mackies etc) and have used Shere Khan Express. I've really enjoyed the Tikka Naan Sandwich with fries, salad and garlic mayo. But yesterday , I decided to have the Tikka Box Meal. I convinced my wife to have a box meal too (korma). Was really disappointed tbh. The taste was there but Korma was watery, chicken was a bit tough. My tikka sauce was ok, a bit watery, although the chicken pieces were better than my wife's Korma. I'll give the naan sandwich another go next time, my wife probably won't.

Behaviour of staff they don’t know how to talk with customers and behaviour is rude they are frustrated from their work and the food quality is poor.

I would have given a zero or minus star if there was any. The guy on the reception was so rude as if he was giving food for free. The food quality was below average. There’s a EAST STREET next door which is far better than this rubbish place.

Said they have finished chicken pokoras on a Monday afternoon 13:30. How do you run out? I was extremely annoyed hence the bad review, not the first time it’s happened

Food was surprisingly good, super fast service, quite friendly staff and prices are alright. I'd rate these guys for a nice quick solid meal. Also they've been here ages so nice to see them still here.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I visited and I've noticed they don't respond to reviews, either good or bad, simply don't care. I ordered Chicken Jalfrezi with rice. I received rice, rice and more rice with the thinnest covering of Jalfrezi on top of it which contained one tiny piece of chicken. They stand with their backs to the customers whilst they are making the orders up probably so they aren't challenged.

I tried Rasmalai and it was the most disgusting 🤮 i have ever tasted ! It has mopd on top of it which i thought was pistachios. It was put there in that horrible container ! 🫙 for ages that all the fat in the milk was accumulated on the top like a layer and was so sour that i almost threw up 🤢 Please AVOID AVOID at any cost.

Most authentic pakistani Halal food Please its not indian food, its purely pakistani food spot i dont know why it has such low rating but their lamb nihari and chicken biryani full of spices was straight from heaven. Amazing simply amazing….. i requested them not to change flavours and maintain the quality and taste.

Avoid at all costs! I made a big mistake for not trusting the bad reviews left by others. Ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken briyani for takeout and when I reached home to have it - the chicken tikka masala did not have even a single piece of chicken in it! So I paid £18 for chicken briyani and gravy. Don't make the same mistake like I did - trust the reviews and avoid it at all costs.

I was famished and wanted to try something new. Though I had never tried Where Khan I though to give it a try. So I ordered a Nihari, rice, and naan. And trust me It was the best indian dish i’ve ever had in UK😭❤️. I loved it!!! It was so so tasty and even the nan was so yummy and fresh! It was enough for two people to eat fully. It was affordable too!

I had a lamb biryani and I was genuinely surprised how good it was. Great balance of flavour. Very fresh and very generous in terms of the amount of tender chunks of lamb. Really impressed. Better than all the grim fast food offerings that surround this little gem at the Trafford Centre.

A regular for years, tried more or less all of the curries..just the service is horrendous..long wait for no reason, also sometimes feel rushed..otherwise nice curry place!

We went on Thursday 28th as a couple. Had 2 curry’s. 4 pieces of meet in each and the rest was rice for the privilege of £10.50 per curry. It was dreadful. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

The food is very pathetic, need to mention the chicken they put in any food is really disgusting and of extremely low quality. Really regretting to try their food and paying high price for nothing. Absolute joke!! the dish i had was a wrap and curry which is over priced(for its taste) ..customer service was very bad and food was not good at all Poor service and zero taste factor and over priced Good bye forever to all Share khan franchise dishes as i love to cherish my taste buds and treat them well Only reason i went there was as it was not crowded and now i know why...

Biryani is very nice, they make it extra hot if ask them to, received great costumer service from Aqsa.

Original review Used to come here years ago. Food was good and cheap. Now it's twice the price and flavours rubbish. Lamb Nehari sold luke warm even though 4 people arriving later served before us while we waited for it! Tasted like lamb stew so expect they go Costco and add a chilli. Chicken Madras like a chilli tomato sauce. Almost anywhere would be better for curry. VERY POOR AND A LITTLE SAD. OH and miserable servers didn't help. Don't waste your money. I came here for lunch for myself having almost been bankrupted buying chicken nuggets and chips for daughter at Wing Stop. My choice was due in part to liking curry and in part due to the fact that the queue was much shorter than many of the other outlets around the food hall. I ordered a chicken Jalfrezi meal box and a drink. I wasn't entirely sure what the meal box entailed but it was just a box containing curry and rice. I'd secretly hoped that having paid £10.50 they might have sneaked a bhaji or pakora in there but no such luck. In fairness the curry was cooked and tasted ok. It was overpriced, but then again where isn't in the Trafford Centre food hall?

10.50 for a chicken curry. The chicken in the curry tasted raw, had one bite and left it. Never again, it was disgusting

Astronomically expensive for very mediocre food. Plus my chana masala was something like 50% oil. Guys, if the war in Ukraine is pushing up the price of vegetable oil, why are you giving me so much? Surly, indifferent staff too, who seem to ignore customers they don't know. Slow service.

Very lovely place, plenty of staff. Welcoming, all the food is on display in the kitchen so you can see it. Their lamb & chicken biryani is delicious. All halal which is amazing.

The food is good. Nothing spectacular. But I feel the attitude of the old man taking the money and serving could have been better towards the customers. It wasn't overly rude, but no smile, no emotion. Gave a clear signal that he couldn't care less regarding customer service. Clearly he is a worker. But if he worked for me in my takeaway, I would keep him away from the customers. Fish pakoras were hot and fresh. The biryani was good. Served with curry sauce.

I have order fish tikka & sheek kebab sandwich & chicken tikka sandwich So when It was on Monday . When I went home fish was not cooked at all . Kids vomitted it . Can u talk to your chef before giving food is it cooked properly or is it fresh . Kids became ill 😷 after vomitings .

The vegetable dish was really poor, I wanted to leave a good review but this was just low effort. Chilli pepper in oil basically. Despite asking for a mild dish. Fish pakoras were okay though.

I ordered food from here today. The naan were cold I send the food back. They gave us new naan not much warmer. They put to much chilli sauce on the kebabs. It shud be option for uself to put how much sauce u want on ur food. my girls couldn't eat it. My chiken burger was disgusting drowning in mayo with the tiny piece of chicken in the middle of the bun. Honestly it is the worse food I have eaten from. Never again.

Mrs ordered a meal and they forgot the chips and drink. When she went back they told her to wait 10 mins. Claiming they were too busy. Lucky she didn't tell me coz I would have had a go at em. My meal wasnt even worth the price. Avoid

Quick service with pleasant staff. However, I'm certain that desi food in siberia is better than this amalgam of red chillies and undercooked rice. Paid top dollar for food that'd I'd say no to even at home.

Joke! Tried to charge £42 for 3 curries. Then when corrected, gave three take outs of all rice and barely any curry. AVOID

The food in here is absolutely delicious and some of the best takeaway curry you can have. Unfortunately the staff are so miserable and moody I almost feel like I am offending them with my custom every time I have been.

Used to be one of our favourites in the Trafford Centre until they got stingy with their portions and shot their prices up. Customer service also seems to have gotten worse - a shame as they used to be great.

Ordered Chicken Jalfrezi and the chicken was like brown colour like it was few days old chicken Felt like mutton pieces ..Feel sick after eating..had to give that portion back and jus got gravy n rice again and it was so bad...still feel sick..This place need proper hygiene check..They definitely not selling fresh cooked food.

Bought a lamb curry & rice with 2 nan bread. First portion size was small. The curry was bland and the rice hard. Rice were either undercooked or hardened with the heat light. I had good memories of there food but this is no longer the case. I will never be eating there again especially now there are other alternatives. If you want bland,untastful food & waste of money then eat there otherwise give them a miss !! Looking at there other reviews it doesn't look that it is making a difference to there attitudes.

Gave wrong order. Then tried to rip off another £3 when we asked for naan bread. We said we already paid which we did. Ended up getting the naan bread, but not worth it. Very rude old man at the front desk. Staff eating food unsanitary in the kitchen. 0 stars if I could. Should be closed!

I visited today first time Shere Khan, Trafford centre branch.They forgot to put drinks in my order when I returned to them and told that drinks were missing ,instead of saying sorry the old man at counter was very rude.I don’t know how such unethical person serve customers daily.I will never recommend this place to friends and family.

This place has really gone down hill. Small portions, predominantly rice. The guy who served me today shovelled the chicken off of the ladle to serve! Bad attitudes too , demanded a refund before accepting meal.

I ordered a fish fillet burger and chicken burger and requested both with cheese. Only the fish burger had cheese. I couldn’t be bothered going back as there was a queue and the food hall was very busy. The extra cheese costed 20p. The food is average and nothing special. Wouldn’t go back.

The person at the till was not even interested to take our order, they just passed on the task to each other for a while and the food is overpriced for such a service and quantity.

Worst customer service. With zero gratitude towards customers. Staff did not give the entire order on delivery. However, when kindly questioned about our order. The old man in the front behaved rudely. He was demeaning & sounded very racist. He literally said ‘just give away the food to her’. We understand you are a busy service but if you don’t treat customers in the right way you talk about yourself! We have returned all the food without any refund but with a bigger heart to help him feed his attitude.

The old man in the mask on the till is rude. If he’s not the owner or someone’s grandad, I’d seriously consider letting him go. He served me, bit my head off because my card didn’t go through first time and had to be inserted in the card reader. I waited with my sleeping baby for my food. It took ages. Then he walked over with it and read out my number. I said it was me. He literally ripped my receipt out of my hand to double check and didn’t give it back. I asked for a sachet of salt and he shouted ‘what?!’ In my face. He then pointed right next to him rather than just pass one to me. I had to step away from my pram and move down the counter to reach for it. The woman in the queue next to me said ‘what an awful man!’. I have to agree with her. Good luck with your business guys.

Pricey for the quality and standard of food.

Very expensive for the taste of chillies. Ordered 2 chicken and rice, rice was full to the top with near nothing chicken balti, still worse off, also ordered their chicken "naan sandwich", well its just chicken pieces in a naan, no sauces, salad etc, it was so dry too, this cost £8.50 each!. Keema naan £4!, a joke of a place.

Ordered 2x Curry 2x Drinks,1 x chips Spent over £26 I was told I could only have 2x chilli sauce’s and would have to pay a extra 20p each for the tiny mint sauce. Middle Aged gentleman on the till Zero manners, absolutely miserable & Rude. Like he didn’t even want to be at work.
