The food quality and service are amazing. I had a delicious flan served with a variety of gorgeous salads, followed by a heavenly poppyseed scone and a pot if loose leaf tea. It's such a treat to find an exceptional vegetarian lunch location.

My wife suggested we go to Shepley's for a brew and bite to eat. Walking up to the café, I thought this is too small to get a table on a Saturday.. I was presently surprised. The place is like a Tardis, beautifully done out with a Country feel. We ate outside in the stunning surroundings. I had the Ploughman's and the better half has the quiche salad. The food was divine and service exceptional. Can't wait to return next week. Defiantly recommend a visit.

Cafe is the recommended place to go after Glossop parkrun as it is a short stroll from the finish area. Lovely outside seating area, very sunny, next to a stream made it a relaxing time. Good coffee and home made scones fresh out of the oven. Go there after the run, you deserve it.

Had a lovely lunch in Shepley's yesterday, whilst visiting our son in Glossop. There's a nice outdoor seating area at the back, overlooking the river. We chose one of the specials, cheddar tart, which comes with small portions of varying salads, it was all delicious. The staff are very friendly and the cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be having lunch here again when next in Glossop.

Ok,I’ll be brief. We had some of the tastiest food in this gem of a place that we’ve ever had anywhere. The salads are absolutely delicious and for them, alone, it’s worth a visit.

We had cream scones and and a pot of tea each. The pots were large enough to get 3 or 4 cups. The scones were light and fluffy with fruit in. The restaurant was very busy on a sunny day with most people sitting outside. It’s opening hours are limited, so it might be worth booking ahead.

Wonderful tasting and very interesting entrees and sides. We were delighted with the food. Very casual and leisurely lunch, with brookside seating as weather permits! Worth the time to try. Great selection of teas, also! When we are in town (annually), we are regulars and recommend to all our friends there.

Off the beaten track in Old Town Glossop. A visitor would probably only find this place by consulting a search engine website as we did. A lovely little cafe with a superb outdoor terrace overlooking a small murmuring beck. We had coffee and a scone and were spoiled for choice on the type of scone to have, we opted for a savoury offering which was excellent as was the coffee and the blackboard showed a nice range of scrummy sounding cakes. Pleasant ambience, good fare and welcoming staff.

The food, here is amazing; scones to die for, we had to have 3 different types to make sure (between 2 of us - on top of lunch). The blue cheese, spinach and pine nut tart really tasty and accompanied by what seemed to be 7 different salads, all lovely. The staff were really welcoming and very friendly and provided excellent service. All the inside tables and chairs are different from each other which added to the quirky but warm vibe. This is the first rime we've visited here after walking over Derbyshire level and it certainly won't be the last!

This is such a little gem. On sunny days, there is nowhere better to be than sitting by the river eating Shepleys food. It’s a small venue and they only have one person making food; which is always fresh- but your patience will be rewarded. If you are in a hurry, grab a cake- they are always on top form.

I visited Shepley’s on a sunny day and it was really busy. The staff explained they would be with me in a few minutes because they were busy, lemon drizzle cake was amazing and the tea was just perfect. I can’t recommend it enough.

Visiting the area for the first time, we dropped her by chance because it looked nice from the outside. What a find! Lovely friendly staff, delicious food - quiche and salad and the most amazing sponge cake - and a great waterside setting. It's a sign of how good the ambience was that we didn't mind waiting a few minutes to be served (they'd already explained and apologised). When the food arrived, the wait was forgotten. Our first visit but certainly not our last.

This tea room was one of the best we have ever been to (and I've been to lots!). All food was amazing and special scones to die for! Coffee great and tea made from leaves in a pot! No plastic. So very impressed. And tables right by the river. Indoor tables also really good. Highly recommended. If you get a chance go here!

No booking needed just get there after 10.30am - 2.30pm on a Weds - Sat. Delicious home cooked scones and quiches with a wonderful selection of prepared salads sit lovingly on your plate, all fresh and delicious. I tried the Cloud chaser tea and I wasn't dissapointed. You can tell these ladies care about what they offer and there is a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to welcome you. We will definitely return and be adding a cheese scone and a desert to our lunch!

Wow...what a lovely time i had sat outside under an umbrella watching the drizzle, bees, birds and lovely pots of flowers whilst listening to the nearby babbling brook. The ladies whom served were polite and friendly. I ordered a mixed salad plate, ice vanilla coffee and lemon, poppy seed and blueberry scone. I really, really enjoyed all. Lovely, fresh, salad with a variety of tasty, flavours. The scone...probably the best i've eaten..all washed down with iced drink. Can't wait to go and chill out there with friends! Lovely stroll through Manor Park rounded my day off nicely.

A real gem of a place with excellent, friendly service and an exciting menu. Pixies is known for its cakes (which are excellent) but I actually prefer the savoury options, the cheese on toast is pretty amazing and if the Onion Bhaji burger is on then you must try it. Coffee is always good too.

There are many cafes in Hope to choose from, especially on a bank holiday but the best one has got to be the Courtyard Cafe. Tucked away a little off the main street, it's quiet allowing you to hear your conversations but the absolute best thing are the chips! The chip butties are amazing! The chips are crisp and properly sized! Looking around all food we saw looked really good. Staff were so lovely and clearly the local's favourite spot to come to. An excellent cafe to come to after a great walk from Hope. Can't wait to come back to Courtyard and eat more chips!

A very welcoming small cafe with a big range of excellent appetising options. We separately sampled very tasty bacon and sausage cobs with equally good coffees. We saw the range of sandwiches and paninis, soups, and cakes available too. All these are home made in house. The locals clearly know it is the best around as it was busy with take aways too. We are tourists and will certainly come again when we are next in the area
