Shener's Kebabs in Ipswich

Ordered direct via telephone, delivery ETA 40 to 45 minutes. We can called 1 hr 10 mins later for delivery update, to be told they were waiting for a driver, 20 minutes later our food arrived . When opened it was cold , salad was way past it's best! My wife ( who originally ordered and chased delivery ) tried calling shop but no answer , so I called on my phone and instantly answered , explained what our complaint was and offered fresh food , which we politely turned down as no longer felt hungry, offered refund , and was told they will drop money off next time we do a delivery, well it's now nearly 2 hrs later and no refund, probably no intention of refunding. Shame as we have used in the past , won't use again. Below comment added Have left message on Facebook messenger as requested. After a few messages I now have a credit note ( in the form of a message) for the full amount , it is Sheners policy not to offer a refund but they do give credit notes. The person I have dealt with for the credit has been polite and helpful so I have increased the star rating for this. Once credit note successfully redeemed I will re edit this review to reflect this.

Food was over 3/4 hour late and stone cold promised a refund which never came rang up again today still not had a refund appalling service

Tonight I ordered, a large chicken Shish kebab, medium chicken Shish kebab, medium Doner kebab, large chips, can of coke, 2X mayo sauces everything i ordered tonight was absolutely disgusting. EVERYTHING was drenched in grease and also cold even my cats rejected it i don't even think a homeless person would eat this it was that bad i did not receive my coke and rung them up on this so they offered £1 off in discount to me in total i spent £45 on this through Deliver Roo not only was this also late it was a absolute disgrace and i will NEVER use this kebab shop again I'm sure i am not the only person thinking this but i think its about time someone called out on them DO NOT USE THIS PLACE OF FOOD

Great pizza (you can style your own pizzas) the donner meat quality is very good The customer service is top notch.

Chip are very nice but expensive - fair enough if portion size were reasonable. Large size here = small from other places!! :(

I am very disappointed with the Chicken Doner Kebab from Shener's Kebab Takeaway. It's consistently full of chicken skin and fat, and tastes awful. I've had this same unpleasant experience the last three times I've bought it. I reported this issue to the seller, but nothing has changed. I will not be purchasing anything from Shener's Kebab again and I strongly advise others to avoid it as well.

I found hair in my chicken wrap,not only that nothing was cut up and it came cold,I will not be buying from them again

We order often and have never had a bad meal. Exceptional value and tastes amazing. Had a small hiccup today and it was sorted very promptly and we are happy with the outcome. The best kebab shop in Ipswich. Thank you sheners 😊

Ordered a kebab and pizza through deliveroo, my son didn't complain about his pizza but kebab was probably the worst I have ever had! It was cold, dry and burnt meat! Think it was the leftovers from the weekend!! Never again! Delivery driver needs to learn some manners too!! Note to self... Stick to what you know!

Ordered from this place from Just Eat, a chicken, shish and lamb doner kebab and a halloumi wrap. Delivered quickly and now I know why. Halloumi wrap was extremely rubbery as halloumi not cooked properly, to the point I took it out of the wrap. I could feel it squeaking on my teeth and wasn't pleasant. Chicken shish and lamb doner kebab wasn't well presented and tasted worse. Chicken extremely dry, doner was mixed with burnt pieces and old and new doner. Disappointed at the lack of care and effort gone in to this and wouldn't order again.

Serves scrap meat and chips to customer. Tells you everything you need to know about this place. Better off go elsewhere who will actually respect their customer.

Fantastic and bombastic kebabs super

Staff were friendly, bright and quick. Chicken doner meat was 'gritty' and 'chewy'; best description. It had been pre-cut and was piping hot, it did appear to be 'well done' but actually that's my preference anyway but I was later surprised by the texture. The pita bread didn't appear to be toasted (by taste) but it was too dark to tell by sight and it was very rubbery. Salad was miniscule but pleasant. Overall it was not a good kebab but I am likely to try one more time to check whether it was a one-off as it did appear to be popular.

Highly recommend their excellent chicken shish wrap! Nice crunchy chips, which didn't go soggy too... Decent all round for a kebab shop.

Now I’m not normally a kebab person but this place has changed my mind! The food is freshly cooked, really tasty and definitely worth a visit! The chicken kebab with mayo and salad is fab! Lots of options, friendly and quick service ⭐️

Food was ok enough and portion size was good ,However i had a burger which was in a sesame seed bun, not a brioche as advertised in the menu app and as a suggestion could you add mustard to the list of condiments?

First visit yesterday, inside looks nice and clean and tidy, has been served very quickly in professional way, accepting Mobile payments which is great. Personally ive stopped buying kebabs at California Grill because of that reason - accepting cash only which is always problem for me. Ordered wraps for £6 each and i must say that i didn't expect such a big and tasty thing-absolutely amazing. Beautiful lady behinds the plexi glass i must say that! Quickly spotted the one of the guys used to work at California Grill kebab (one of the towns favourites) so he knows how to do a proper delicious meal. Definitely will be back and sharing my experience with friends. Just keep going! I'll be back 😎

Not used for quite some time but used to be okay. Big order placed for delivery. Will stick to Woodbridge Quality in future! Sener's quality was awful. My Chicken Shish was dry, the chilli sauce had no taste, the pitta bread was soggy and fell apart and it wasn't even because of wet salad as that was in a separate tub. Very little red cabbage and no fresh Chilli! The chips were thin, soggy and horrible. Will not be returning.

Lived round the corner for 2 years and absolutely gutted I've only recently discovered these guys as I'm moving! (Have ordered around 6 times now). The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful... ranging from whoever answers the phone to whoever delivers, good sized portions, nice quality food... the prices are extremely reasonable for the service they provide. Absolutely bangin kebab shop 👌🏼

My daughter ordered from here and my order was wrong missing kebab and tried telling me that it was what she ordered after I was sitting next to her so I know what she ordered no attention paid whatsoever when she was ordering considering they read back our order I thought the man on the phone as very rude

It's a fairly new family business, lovely family they own a local chip shop too. I go there often and always get a nice greeting.

Great meals the first time. The last 2 orders have had all salads missing. So simple to put meat in a pitta and add salad... Or so I thought. Won't be using them again.

Had a big order Saturday night all the food was delivered hot. The pizzas, Kebabs where all tasty and plenty of food.

Had good kebabs from when they first opened , had family meal on saturday never have i had a complete load of mess £38 of absolute dog food ,chips made me gag as they were uncooked load of mush ,oil was dribbleing out of wrappers filling bottom of delivery bag ,chicken was full of gristle and like rubber , we had 3 large shish chicken and donna mixed ,the bread had actullaly turned into pulp not one of my family eat more than one mouthfull discrasefull and absolute put off ,fuming

Best takeaway chicken shish kebab I've had for a long time! The chicken was good quality and the salad fresh and crunchy. I enjoyed every bite.

After many years of sampling, this in my opinion is the best Kebab shop in Ipswich. The design, the openness of front and back, standard of food and cleanliness is outstanding. I know they change their oil a minimum of 2 times a week so not poisoning us as soon many do not bother to think of the consequences of old oil on our digestive system. Well done Shener, Feride and the team. Continue being so proud of your achievements and contributions. Tahaskur!

You'll get a lovely warm welcome from Feride, Ali and crew at Shener's Kebabs, lots of menu choices, great prices and of course really tasty food! Very easy 5 stars review from me...especially when even my teenagers gave the food a thumbs up! We tried the pizza, doner and shish kebabs. So tasty, we'll be back very soon!
