Quality of the dishes has gone downhill in recent years and prices gone up. Fast service

Food was Good. The tawa dish was Amazing. I tried it in Asian Style Hot to med spices.

Slow service. Food wasn't very nice. Curry tasted burnt

I enjoyed my meal best curry I've had in a long time. if not the best.

I used to be a regular of Sheesh Mahal BUT after today not anymore. Today twice they messed our order up and when they did finally turn up they forgot the curry sauce and only brought 1 tub along. When I called them up to complain why half of the order was missing they basically told me to grin and bare it. Well here is my answer to that I was going to recommend them to others but after today N0 CHANCE ! I have asked for a refund. Totally disgusted with Sheesh Mahal

Been there couple of times with group of friends. Had good experience, food was good. Staff was very helpful. Never felt being rushed out.

Not great, we ordered 2 curries and both very disappointing - just tiny pieces chicken, no sauce.... very very dry, wouldn't go back here especially if you like your curries to have any sauce. Both came served in a small white bowl not a great experience, much much better places in Bradford.

The service of this restaurant was terrible; they clearly gave priority to takeaway.deliveries and neglected sitting customers. After asking repeatedly for poppadoms and starters, they were finally delivered, but the vegetable samosa was stale. After approximately an hour we left, with no main courses served. The manager offered no apology and insisted I pay £8. I would advise no one to attend this restaurant.

I had lamb on the bone from this restaurant and I got to say it was really dry and bland no taste and no flavour whatsoever gave me an upset stomach. Service was really poor no one to tend to our table.

I bumped into Sheesh Mahal, on a recommendation from a bouncer in town. Sheesh Mahal is a very tidy and bright building and stands out very clearly, it was the light at the end of the tunnel for my stomach which had gone without food for most of the day! I was greeted very cordially by one of the wait staff (I forgot to get his name... ((You are a legend my man, you know who you are!)) ), Who sat me at a table and provided me a pickle tray and poppadoms very promptly. I was given enough time and space to look through the menu and decide what I wanted to eat. There was plenty of choice, but despite that, I requested something off menu on the off chance that the chefs might be able to create what my stomach was craving... "The Legend" told me that they could indeed cater to my stomachs imagination, and so I settled with an Achar mixed with Makahani! Whilst waiting for my meal, "The Legend" brought me a very tasty chilled lemon and lime drink, which I am led to believe is a traditional Pakistani creation. This went down very well throughout my meal, and as I slowly made my way through the poppadoms and pickle tray. The main course arrived and the presentation and temperature of the food was fantastic! The taste of the Achar/Makahani blend was to DIE for! I have had both these dishes individually but together was a match made in heaven, in particular the addition of raisins and mixed nuts to the dish created a mini adventure with each bite! All this came to a VERY reasonable ~£14.00, which is a bargain at twice the price! All in all I am gutted that I haven't been to this restaurant before, and I will definitely return! Thanks Mr Legend and the whole team at Sheesh Mahal. A very satisfied customer!

ordered 3 x cans of coke and 1 x 7up and they gave me rubicon, I don't like it and neither Do my kids you should if rang me to say you didn't have what I ordered

I ordered 6 chapatis and 1 Chana dal, Chana dal was only a little quantity to the base of vessel. I call the restaurant about the issue, a guy took the phone and respond to the problem as I ordered a side dish, this is not the 1 St time I am ordering from the particular resturant, he was responding as he don't care, he said you put the review and don't buy again, he was really unprofessional. As a coustumer my money is gone, and didn't even got an apology from the staff. This is the last and final time I am buying anything from sheesh Mahal.

Fui a sheeshmahal el sábado 28 de septiembre de 2024 con mi familia, ya que era mi cumpleaños de sobrinas, en cualquier otro momento ha sido a la perfección, pero no en esta noche en particular, pedimos un plato para 4 personas y nuestra comida principal al mismo tiempo en cualquier forma en que nuestro plato vino y ni siquiera lo habíamos terminado entonces, ya que estábamos comiendo el plato principal llegó a nuestra mesa le dije al joven caballero que no hemos terminado nuestro plato todavía, así que nuestro plato principal va a estar frío, respondió que le dijeron que llevara los platos principales a nuestra mesa. Estaba disgustado con el nivel de servicio esa noche, ok, el restaurante estaba ocupado, pero tiene que haber un nivel de servicio que viene cuando estás cenando y en ese nite, el servicio era asqueroso, el gerente ya no está hardley allí y ahora no está alrededor del nivel de servicio se ha ido por el desagüe y cuando comenzamos a comer nuestra comida, estaba casi frío personalmente, creo que el personal necesita ser capacitado y el nivel de servicio que dan también.

Nice food very poor service. Asked 4 times for drinks asked 3 or 4 times for cutlery by which time food was getting cold. Shame that ignorant staff ruined our Saturday night out. On the plus side food was nice and came out quick. We never stayed for dessert due to risk of being totally ignored by staff.

Over friendly staff to the point it was uncomfortable and decided to quite literally join our table and sat down. (Non of us knew the man) Food was unpleasant, left a bad after taste and a few trips to the loo.

Very poor experience, went quite late, only one of the staff was doing ALL the work the young lad in the waistcoat, the manager sat around doing nothing, blatantly smoking his vape infront of customers, other staff helping themselves to desserts from the dessert counter. I really can't see why anyone would return.

I came here for a meal with my clients. I ordered the butter chicken, but when it arrived, I was shocked to find semen inside the dressing. To add to this, when I complained to the waiter, he simply replied with 'You want to know how we make the sauce?' Luckily, one of my clients pushed the waiter away because he was pulling his fly down. I don't know if you want this to happen to you, but I wouldn't. I will never, ever eat here again. I wish I could give it 0 stars.😡😡😡😡😤

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill massively. Food was bland and tastless and everything tasted the same from the chicken to the meat. Portion sizes were also very small for the price. Service was horrendous. No customer service skills at all. No welcome, no goodbye the waiter only spoke to ask “whats your order”. Atmosphere was also tragic. The water fountains thats usually gave the place a bit of life were turned off, no music in the background nothing. Just the sound of the busy road outside to set the atmosphere. I came to this place as a teenager and loved it, thought it was the best meat masala in Bradford. Unfortunately i wont be returning.

A place where we go once a year as we are from outside Bradford.. not as well known but their food is absolutely spot on.. the starters and curries and on par if not better than the more famous names in Bradford. Definitely recommend

We are visiting friends from Lincoln and had a lovely meal here. Me and my husband are vegetarian, and we had the vegetable korma and Rogan josh. The food was delicious, giant samosa to start were amazing and huge !! Our waiter was really lovely and looked after us. Will be returning on our next visit to Bradford. Highly recommend this place for a decent curry. Prices are very reasonable too. 👍👍

Visited with my son last night. Service was good. Son ordered a mutton curry. I ordered chicken. Good portions. The mutton curry was very heavy in garam masala. Tasted a bit dry. Chicken curry was pretty decent. Rotis were really good. The mild sauce and green chilli puree were outstanding! If we're ever local again I'd definitely revisit. Not as good as made out by locals. But definitely not bad

They don't have much seating, but their food is really good.

The food was yummy and hot. Came out really quickly and a beautiful taste can not fault it at all. Cleanliness could be better but the food makes up for it. Brilliant raita too. We got the tawa for 3 and a drink bill came to £40.

My first visit with friends, i ordered a chicken karahi apna style, which was delicious i will definetley be going again soon. My second visit and we tried the Tawa for 3, which was very tasty and i recommend it.

Food always 5x but last time I went there customer services was a joke, waiting 20mins for popadoms when the party I was with had them straight away, then being told to sit down by a male half my age, because I was asking for sauce, once I got the order late, won’t be going there again after 00+.

We had the combo starter, meat handi and the chicken handi. Food was pretty standard. Meat handi was the best out of all, but overall lacked depth of flavour. Tandoori roti were very nice, but naan was not very fluffy and could be mistaken for the tandoori roti. The place looked nice, the service was good enough, we had to ask for cutlery, sauces and salad.

Come in today with family. Ordered starters nothing special. Chicken massla for mains was so dry. Really disappointed. The place needs a good clean it’s run down.

Coming to Sheesh Mahal for the first time food was incredible it was worth the money also the hospitality is on point you felt welcomed as soon as you come in.

Food was not great at all, some weird onion bhajis rock hard, curry was too sweet even though supposed to be medium spiced and dry as was the rice and cup not clean for coffee

Was in Bradford asian clothes shopping with a large group. We have attended the Halifax branch previously aslnd were impressed. They had a ample space to seat our 14 large group. Food was impressive and the service was brilliant. We ordered 3 Tawa for 4 and was plenty of food to go round.

Been here few years ago with my family, the service we have have had was appalling as we weren't treated poorly mainly probably because of us being indian and also the food was not cooked properly and was raw, would definitely not come here again or recommend my kind of people to come and this is just racist

Very poor service,we didn't get our food on time plus we had to call them everytime when we needed anything... There weren't many people but still soo slow..and our food was soo dry,no gravy,we didn't get what we asked for,waste of time,wish we went some other restaurant. Sat down in restaurant no acknowledgement from manager or staff just dropped menus on table. Like the the world has something against them lol your Glasses were dirty and place wasn't clean . Curries were very dry and ordered a naan which came 20 mins after the curries came out. Defo won't be coming to this place again.

REVIEW NOT ABOUT THE FOOD Reader discretion is advised After a Long 12 hour shift, me and the team at work decided to go out for a Curry. Their were many suggestions being thrown around and we all decided on Sheesh mahal as we all had heard good things about the establishment but had never tried it before. Strapped in the car and away we go. We arrived arounds 10pm and lucky for us the restaurant was pretty quiet which meant quicker food arrival times and better service. As we walked to the main doors, blood rushing around the body filled with adrenaline and excitement for the meal that was about to come. A Gust of air hit our smelling apparatus(Nose) . All expressions had been turned upside down and any appetite we had, had been eliminated. The strong stench of urine filled the whole establishment and so we left. Nothing else to say. Very heartbroken but I am resilient and I will be back to review the food, only if the stench of urine is fixed.

1 Star is too generous - We were the only group of people in the restaurant and there was a reason for that… The food was absolutely dreadful, it had zero taste, no sauce in my Chicken Madras, the pieces of chicken were the size of garden peas, not a very nice meal at all, we will not be returning to this restaurant again.
