Shazanz Kebab House in Birmingham

Absolutely smashing food and top-notch service! When I think of Birmingham, all I think of is Shazanz! Stopped in for a takeaway before a long 2 and a half hour late-night drive and asked for the Shazans pie to be assembled but not cooked so I could bake it fresh once I got home. Not only did they accommodate my request without hesitation, but everything was packed perfectly for travel. I ordered the famous sherpuri donner with fries it was just the same as I had it a few years ago! The quality of the ingredients really stood out when I baked the pie later – cheesy, rich filling, and full of flavour. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend for both the food and the thoughtful service.

Utter piss take!! Ordered a fish and chips! The gravey they gave with it was a joke!!! It was watered down to the max they were better off just pouring water... It wasn't like this the last time I ordered this! Never again

Food and service spot on, I have been coming here for a number of years, the portions are decent. Great value for money.

Only nice fish dishes, however they are unfamiliar with all other authentic dishes. They need to master how to even make lentils let alone the meat dishes.

Visited here today with my friend for a quick meal after work. We were served by 2 young lads who gave us both excellent service and looked after us. Food was 10/10. Owner/manager also looked after us also. Will definitely be coming back.👍

First i was slightly hesitant before entering the establishment - as was thinking will it be nice food ? Service? Atmosphere- But I was pleasantly blown away by the inside decor- hospitality and friendliness of the staff and waiters- we were family of 5 - sat upstairs- with aircon- the whole food and setting was so comfortable - waiters were so attentive but not over intruding. The whole place had such a nice vibe and atmosphere. Food - 10/10 Portion size 10/10 Value for money 10/10 Service - 10 /10 Definately will be back very soon - absolutely amazing -

Without question the Sherpur Donner is the best donner I have ever tried. The Biryani and Mixed grill is fantastic too. Great service over the phone, I’ll be sure to return and eat in the restaurant. Update: I’ve went and ate in the restaurant twice since my original review and the food has just been fantastic every time. Im certain you could order anything from the menu and it would taste great. If I lived closer I would go a lot more often than I’ve managed to. I recommend this place to anybody that simply loves excellent food and service at very reasonable prices.

What a beautiful spot this is! My friend suggested we try it as it had undergone renovations and we were not disappointed!! The sea bass and cod fillet were divine and the service was on point. I would recommend this place to everyone and will be back to try the extensive menu real soon :)

I Just enjoyed another excellent meal at Shazanz. I’ve been eating here for a few years and the food is always brilliant. The restaurant is nicely designed and clean. The staff have always made us feel so welcome and are attentive. I came with two friends tonight. One of which has not been before and he was really impressed with the food and the welcome he received too. Keep up the good work Shazanz!

This place is amazing, our server Ahmed was an attentive and great knowledge of the menu and looked after us all night. We were there on a Bank Holiday Monday and it was busy, but everything we ordered came on time and the service was 10 out of 10. The owner greeted us and treated us like we were family. I really have to say there is nothing negative about this excellent restaurant. I really admire the way this restaurant is proud of its Bangladeshi heritage. Its menu is inspired by the family’s roots and their passion for quality fine dining really comes across. The price of the food was more than fair.

Honest review here, my first time at this place with my friend, service was good, staff were friendly and attentive. I actually enjoyed my loaded fries and sweetcorn fritters, my friend had the pie and BBQ wings (although there were cold after 5mins). And I do thank them for the complimentary mojitos. I did find that the staff asking for us to review them numerous times online was slightly annoying alongside how good the food was, I was having a convo with my friend and it broke the flow. And also they are a cash only establishment!! Had to walk a few minutes to the nearest cash point, that alone was a shock. I would come again, but there are areas to improve!!

Been coming here for the past two years religiously once a month or even twice and it's always been top notch. Startes was brilliant lamb chops, U5 king prawns and naga wings BUT mains today, total shambles. Lamb Bunah smelt off, Sherpur Donor was awful tasted like a curry, nothing tasted as it should. No clue what's gone upside down in the last month or so but it's gone down the bloody drain. No plans of dragging myself here for another 6 months. Hopefully they clean up the quality of the food by then or change the chef back to the day one. Have they hired a TikTok/Temu chef ???

We visit here recently. The food is 10/10. Just alittle gutted they took the side dishes off the menu, ie sag paneer etc. They go really well with a mix grill. The service provided by Abdul was absolutely amazing. He made sure we were looked after from start to finish. His customer service was brilliant and he was very attentive. A very intelligent and level headed young man who reminded me of my own son. Wish you all the best Abdul. Keep smiling and we will see you soon.

The food and service were excellent. I don’t normally have steak from non-steak establishments, so I was pleasantly surprised how well the steak was cooked, as I like my steak cooked rare. The fish and chips was also cooked to perfection. Will definitely come again and would highly recommend others to try.

I cannot fault this place at all. I went last week and returned so quickly yesterday because I was so impressed with the food, the ambience and the customer service. The chef Shazan, his brothers and also the waiter Shahin were all very friendly, welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend this place to all, and my favourite dish after having tried a few are the king prawns and the ribs - they’re to die for 😋 it makes me proud to see Bengali owned restaurants deliver excellent food and service like this, keep it going 🥰

Visited with my family tonight as we ate here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. The food and service was great again and we were not disappointed. Motz and another young waiter were very friendly, attentive and made sure we were looked after. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were big. We went here a few months ago and loved the food so decided to go again There was new things on the menu so decided to try them out Food was great but please calm down with the spice so it’s more enjoyable 🙈 also I was dying of dehydration as the lids on the water bottles had dirt on them so didn’t have any water My fave is the sweetcorn fritters Can’t wait to to go back ☺️

Visited this place in a whim whilst driving by, it was definitely a great place to eat. Food was full of flavour, everything tasted delicious. My children with picky tastebuds also enjoyed this place, Lamb chops was the best i have tasted. not to forget the service from every staff member was above and beyond, very kind and friendly. next time am in birmingham definately will visit.

I came to this place today, and had ordered the loaded chicken parmo and the seafood bucket, and the chicken parmo was overly spicy and lacked any flavour, and was bland, as if there was no salt in it, and the seafood bucket, which was very greasy, and the lobster was overly fried, and made lobster meat dry. However, the customer service was great, staff were constantly reassuring that we were satisfied, and was fast to give us, what we asked for, and we had even gotten, a free shephards pie, which was very generous of them, and the woman at the front desk, greeted me with a smile. Overall 4.5/10.

Awful food, don’t think chicken on the parmo was fresh, tasted rubbery and hard. Donner tasted cheap for the prices they charge. Sorry but won’t be returning again.

Cash only. No card payments and no nearest cashpoint maybe 3min walk on main stretch. It's nice for a lads day out but not much for family dining. It's nice for a one offs meal and I would recommend it IF you like donner.

I recently ordered a lamb doner with chips and a smash burger meal. The food arrived piping hot and fresh, and was exceptionally delicious. The Sherpur spice blend was particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend this establishment.

Ordered the mix grill platter and it was good. Prawns were flavourful and the lamb chops were some of the best I've had. Tried the famous doner for the first time it was okay. Service was second to none though shout out chach squeezing us in just before iftar.

Outstanding customer service, explaining in detail any dishes we asked about. Food was lovely and the portions were huge, enough to pack some to take home. Will be back to try other dishes as they had a great variety.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff are really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some south asian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Absolutely a place to GO it is nice and away from busy ladypool rd.

Shazanz is truly a hidden gem! We have visited twice, and both times, the experience has been fantastic. The second time, we went with my brother’s family, and everyone absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly by the staff, who provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The food was outstanding fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered was served hot & tasted amazing. I ordered medium spicy they gave extra hot couldn’t eat that girl took order I’m not disrespecting her but she can’t even speak English I have repeat my self 5times .second time I ordered online Uber eats buy one get one free but they only gave me one I call the restaurant try to speak to the owner he refused to give her another one I call the restaurant front of delivery guy and he also spoke to the owner but misleading not giving food I was disappointed.

If I could give more than 5 stars for service, I would. Always outstanding, food is fresh and quickly served hot and piping. Thank you Shazans! 🔥👌🏽

Took my family there to try out the new Shazanz. Food was of poor quality and bland. Especially naga wings was over spiced to the point it was inedible. Shatkora donner was tasteless and donner seemed pre cut from ready made tubs and not fresh. Fish and chips was still dripping in oil. No where near the food standards of the old place they had. Chairs slip on the wooden floor so safety hazard too. Honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had.

Nothing bad can be said about this place. Top service, excellent quality food and always happy to cater for large groups. Thank u to the main man too, OG sasa 💯👊🏽
