Visited with my family tonight as we ate here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. The food and service was great again and we were not disappointed. Motz and another young waiter were very friendly, attentive and made sure we were looked after. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were big. The atmosphere was really nice and it is a welcoming family restaurant. A very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back again.

This restaurant was very lovely and offered great service, not to mention the food was spectacular and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend coming here with your family. We went here a few months ago and loved the food so decided to go again There was new things on the menu so decided to try them out Food was great but please calm down with the spice so it’s more enjoyable 🙈 also I was dying of dehydration as the lids on the water bottles had dirt on them so didn’t have any water My fave is the sweetcorn fritters Can’t wait to to go back ☺️

Visited this place in a whim whilst driving by, it was definitely a great place to eat. Food was full of flavour, everything tasted delicious. My children with picky tastebuds also enjoyed this place, Lamb chops was the best i have tasted. not to forget the service from every staff member was above and beyond, very kind and friendly. next time am in birmingham definately will visit.

I came to this place today, and had ordered the loaded chicken parmo and the seafood bucket, and the chicken parmo was overly spicy and lacked any flavour, and was bland, as if there was no salt in it, and the seafood bucket, which was very greasy, and the lobster was overly fried, and made lobster meat dry. However, the customer service was great, staff were constantly reassuring that we were satisfied, and was fast to give us, what we asked for, and we had even gotten, a free shephards pie, which was very generous of them, and the woman at the front desk, greeted me with a smile. Overall 4.5/10.

Awful food, don’t think chicken on the parmo was fresh, tasted rubbery and hard. Donner tasted cheap for the prices they charge. Sorry but won’t be returning again.

Cash only. No card payments and no nearest cashpoint maybe 3min walk on main stretch. It's nice for a lads day out but not much for family dining. It's nice for a one offs meal and I would recommend it IF you like donner.

Disappointed. Portions have shrunk so bad. The pasty was a glazed tortilla. Like 1/5 the size it used to be.

I recently ordered a lamb doner with chips and a smash burger meal. The food arrived piping hot and fresh, and was exceptionally delicious. The Sherpur spice blend was particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend this establishment.

Ordered the mix grill platter and it was good. Prawns were flavourful and the lamb chops were some of the best I've had. Tried the famous doner for the first time it was okay. Service was second to none though shout out chach squeezing us in just before iftar.

Outstanding customer service, explaining in detail any dishes we asked about. Food was lovely and the portions were huge, enough to pack some to take home. Will be back to try other dishes as they had a great variety.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff are really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some south asian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Absolutely a place to GO it is nice and away from busy ladypool rd.

Shazanz is truly a hidden gem! We have visited twice, and both times, the experience has been fantastic. The second time, we went with my brother’s family, and everyone absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly by the staff, who provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The food was outstanding fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered was served hot & tasted amazing. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impressive. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a place to enjoy with family, Shazanz is an excellent choice. I ordered medium spicy they gave extra hot couldn’t eat that girl took order I’m not disrespecting her but she can’t even speak English I have repeat my self 5times .second time I ordered online Uber eats buy one get one free but they only gave me one I call the restaurant try to speak to the owner he refused to give her another one I call the restaurant front of delivery guy and he also spoke to the owner but misleading not giving food I was disappointed.

Took my family there to try out the new Shazanz. Food was of poor quality and bland. Especially naga wings was over spiced to the point it was inedible. Shatkora donner was tasteless and donner seemed pre cut from ready made tubs and not fresh. Fish and chips was still dripping in oil. No where near the food standards of the old place they had. Chairs slip on the wooden floor so safety hazard too. Honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had.

Nothing bad can be said about this place. Top service, excellent quality food and always happy to cater for large groups. Thank u to the main man too, OG sasa 💯👊🏽

No complaints with our food today was great! The masalaa fish was superb and my highlight. We had to take some of the food home as it was plentiful. Full of flavours and the chili sauce in the glass bottle was ace! Will be back again for sure, staff all very friendly which is an added bonus! Prices is reasonable too. 10/10 🤝👌

Usually like this place but had the creme da la sherpur the other day, was very watery and it was not spicy.

Abdul Aziz was fantastic—very accommodating and attentive throughout the meal. The food was good, but I’m still undecided on whether the highlight was the service or the meal itself. Either way, it was an enjoyable experience Thank you Abdul for a great conversation and service! Regards Adam

Driving there was well worth the visit. Enjoyed my bbq wings, garlic fries, and crispy fish. Haven't had a good fish and chip in a long time. Definitely will be returning soon. Down side no card payments.

I had seen loads of tik tok videos before going there last night for a takeaway for the family, on entering i was greeted by a young lady server, when ordering i was told they had no king prawns and only chicken bhuna so I ordered it only for the chef to say no more curry orders are being taken then the guy in the videos comes over and said did you want a curry, I just said no thank and left. I've never had an experience like this and wouldn't recommend going there.

What can I say I been Coming to this place for over 20 years and the service by the brothers is amazing second to non, never been to a more friendly caring loving place, again today just a lovely run place, then the food always on point fresh even the salad was lovely and always tasty a lovely place, with a person touch and quality food made with love. After seeing several social media posts and food reviews online, I felt compelled to try Shazans, as it came highly recommended. We ordered the Sherpur lamb doner and the masala fish based on a friend's suggestion. The masala fish was wonderfully spiced and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the highly anticipated Sherpur doner did not meet our expectations; it was extremely spicy and almost unbearable. We were somewhat disappointed. Overall, my first impression of the restaurant was positive. The interior was well-lit and inviting, and the staff was friendly.

Visited this place after several years, and we were pleasantly greeted at the door. Ordered our food, of which there wasn't really an extensive menu as such. We ordered a starter of Sherpur loaded fries, then mains of Fish and Chips and a Mega Mixed Grill to share. Slightly disappointed at their drinks menu, as someone who doesn't consume sugary drinks, I wish there were more of a variety. Food did come very fast, however I regretted ordering the Sherpur loaded fries as there was only a drizzle of cheese sauce on top, and I didn't realise, but there was a lot of Sherpur donner at the base of the Mega Mixed Grill (a lot of which was burnt due to the heat of the sizzler, I assume), making it A LOT of donner. The chops were delicious, as were the fish, chicken tikka, and the king prawns would have been wonderful also, if the meat of the prawn hadn't got stuck to the shell making it difficult to take the meat off the prawn (unless you were willing to chew the shell, which I wasn't). My 5 year old finished his fish and chips, Allahumma barik, so that was great! Just a few small criticisms, I wish the hot water of the communal tap worked, and that I didn't have to pack my own doggy bag and feel rushed out of the door. Aside from that, price point was ok, and food good.

Firstly the food was great, everything cooked well and plentiful. The service was fast too. The only thing i would say is your waiters need customer service training, there was no pleasantries, no thank yous, and some just looked miserable, I had to ask them what making meals actually consisted of, it is not explained on the menu, and the waiters just assumed i would know. Empty platers were removed without asking and finally The guy started to clean our table while we were sat at it ( but about to leave) - in the grand scheme of things its not the end of the world but basic customer service should be given, especially at the price point you’re paying there, and please there is no excuse to not accept card payments this day and age, dogding tax etx is taking away form services you ultimately need to use.

Visited on the weekend after 2yrs. Got a sherpur shatkora donner and chips, dirty Diana burger and tried the giant pasty for the first time which was amazing and my new favourite from here! Service was great from the brother who I later found out was the owner. Nice touch from him, recognising I was from London inviting me to return and eat in with my family next time, love for that my brother. Visited again Jan 2025, this time at the new restaurant a few doors down from the old location. Nice look and feel to the new restaurant, comfortable and friendly to bring friends and family. We tried the mega mixed grill for a change and it was awesome, piled up like a mountain of food. Fantastic value and taste. Service was great from everyone who regularly checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything else.

I ordered the Sherpur pie with donner inside and it was tasting so off. I ordered 1 to sit in and 1 to take out only ate a quarter of it told the guy at the till I don't want to take the other one he said we've made it you have to take it. Will never go to this place again.

The kebabish mains were very nice. Unfortunately can't say the same for the starters, that were lamb ribs and fries. This establishment only accepts cash so it's a little unfortunate and inconvenient however they were accommodating to allow a bank transfer and did point us to where the closest ATM is. Some staff are nice but others are clearly upset at working there which makes you as a customer a little awkward.

I would recommend customers to check the more honest reviews. If you want a decent ‘mixed donner’ just head down to Grillz or Kisaan’s. Honestly, save your coin and time, the portion is 30% donner, 70% fries (not even steak chips). The waiter has seriously bad communication skills, doesn’t understand what you want and is very pressurising. The workers have a tendency to stare at every customer to the point of you being utterly uncomfortable. The meat tastes like it was made with a sweet onion sauté (no aromatics) and has 3/10 flavour. Not to mention the spice levels. Non-existent, yet it’s supposed to be medium. If you don’t look Bengali they will keep saying you can’t handle their spice. God forbid you ask for some spicy sauce, you’ll get a 16 year old waiter asking you ‘are you sure?’ ‘I wanna see you try it’ one million times. If you leave a criticism, the very ‘professional’ staff will try and violate you and lie about your visit. Please see the reviews below which speaks a lot to their attitude and atrocious customer service. Shazanz don’t try come for me, this was my experience. *EDIT* after seeing this, they’ve deleted a lot of their negative unprofessional comments like ‘do you want us to feed you?’…

Regular customer coming here for years..ordered my Regular sherpur donner and naan,first of all rapid rise in price as it's shot up from the previous week from £6.50 to £9.95...do understand prices have increased in all aspects but that is a overpriced kebab now..secondly the most disappointing thing was when I got home to enjoy my food as I opened the box with the doner I noticed something very different from previous...the donner was not not in doner strips like usual but cut down very fine..more like mince..did not taste the same ..very disappointing.

We looked online for when they open - it says 16:30 we arrived 10 mins later and was told they’ll open in 5 mins, we waited outside in the cold for over 20 mins. None of the staff were courteous enough to ask us to come in and wait while it was freezing cold outside. My elderly mom was with us too. It’s so disappointing knowing they are Bengalis too, when Bengalis are known for their hospitality and kindness. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, they’ve left a bad impression on me and my family. Left them and went to og Saqibs obviously

We have been coming here since before the new location. Food was good then but with the menu & all new fresh look of the restaurant it looks delicious, warm & inviting. The naga sherpur donner is the BEST you’ll ever try! Service is always impeccable from the young lady at the counter to the guys in the back cooking up a storm you’ll always come out smiling. Atmosphere is warm, inviting & vibrant, couldn’t ask for better.

I remember when this place was a humble takeaway, people went for the food taste not the place. It was affordable, now they are a proper dine in restaurant. I ordered takeaway mixed donner (chicken was in chunks) for £11.95. Nothing justifies this price for a medium box of fast food unless you pay your workers fairly and with minimum wage in mind. Not the same like they used to be. Also, it’s a cash only place in 2024, for obvious reasons..

5 stars is not enough for this place. Ive been a customer here for the last 10 years and the consistency of quality in their food has always remained the same. The brothers go above & beyond to provide a great customer experience. The sherpuri donnor is the best! They now have added some great new items to their menu including lobsters, tacos and seafood bucket!

For our mains, we couldn’t resist trying the Loaded Parmesan, and it was a decision we’re still raving about. His friendly demeanor, expert knowledge of the menu, and impeccable service made our dinner all the more enjoyable. Large group of us, good service, nice food and value for money. I think they sprinkle black pepper on the mixed grills, as the first 10 minutes after they were served, many of us had tingling noses and I didn't even order one myself. The Sherpur Pasty was great, didn't look so big, but it was, and it was also delicious, with a lovely blend of mash and cheese inside. The Naga burger was ok, had it the next day, nothing amazing, I ordered it as a side. I would go/order from there again. All of that including drink was £19.

Great food, great service and very welcoming

Food was amazing.. I’ve only ever had take out from here but this time I dined in and tried something different. The biryani was amazing especially with the curry sauce. I went in again the next day. Both times served by Sami. His recommendations were spot on, on both visits. Served us with a smile, very polite. Will deffo be coming back again… :)

There are not a lot of restaurants who have the quality of food and expertise that this restaurant has with its food. I would highly reccomend to anyone who wants to try something different. Beautiful food.

Food is lovely, the only let down is the short waiter, I'm guessing he's in his 40s He's very rude, he speaks in a rude tone when he's taking orders. If it was once I'd let it slide but he's rude with multiple customers I've noticed while I'm eating, I've had to edit this review from a 5 star to a 1 star, I'm just not happy with my multiple recent experiences in Shazanz.

The food was good for the price but the service was amazing as always. Second time being here. The interior is really nice and classy.

I'm not much for words so I will just say come eat here and you will not be disappointed.

The atmosphere was noisy due to music , the food was made hot by adding extra Chillies , creating a hot texture doesn't taste it better , one of the waiters a mid 40s old short highted guy seems quite rude and lastly they don't sell Coke being boycotted but selling a Cloudy Lemonade which is Netherland based company not sure whether they also have some connection with Zionists ( this is a rubbish excuse living and fed in a diverse society which has adopted people from all over the globe ). Use to be better but disappointed at new place and one last thing a decent big place and not accepting card payments
