Después de una maravillosa maravilla alrededor del centro de antigüedades Topsham en Topsham, deambulamos por las calles hacia la calle principal. Vimos muchos pequeños lugares independientes para comer, pero nos gustó el aspecto de la comida de la panadería en la ventana, así que entramos y compramos dos paninis y dos bebidas y luego subimos a sentarnos. El personal era realmente agradable y amable y nos trajeron nuestra comida y bebida arriba. El panini tenía un poco de ensalada en el plato junto con un poco de colslaw. El panini de atún y queso era muy grande y suave para comer. El queso estaba derretido y todo sabía delicioso. La tarifa total para nuestra cena fue de 14. 00. El ambiente estaba limpio y tranquilo arriba. El baño también estaba situado arriba. Recomendaría este lugar para un aperitivo o para comprar en la encantadora panadería. Volveremos. Gracias.

Me sentí como un desayuno y realmente me sorprendió la calidad de la comida. El servicio fue excelente y la comida bien presentada y sabrosa.

Al llegar a Topsham después de una larga caminata, buscábamos un lugar para comer algo sencillo y encontramos a los Shauls. Proporcionó exactamente lo que estábamos buscando a precios muy razonables. Comí el sándwich de jamón, queso y piña, y mi compañero comió huevo y frijoles en una tostada. Ambos bocadillos eran sabrosos y tenían una generosa cantidad de relleno. El personal (dos hombres jóvenes) era muy amable y alegre y el servicio fue rápido. Definitivamente vendríamos aquí de nuevo.

Solía llamar con bastante frecuencia, pero el personal estaba demasiado involucrado en el chat entre ellos, arrogante y desdeñoso. Así que dejé de ir. Pero necesitaba un café hoy, así que paré a eso de las 3 de la tarde, con la esperanza de mejorar. En el pasado, he encontrado 2 damas detrás del mostrador para estar fuera de control. Uno de esos estaba en servicio hoy. Sólo había 1 otro cliente en la cafetería. La miembro del personal femenino estaba conversando con alguien fuera de la vista en una habitación trasera. . . . ella se tomó un tiempo para alejarse de su chat privado. No saludo Pedí un café negro con leche fría. También seleccioné un paquete de 4 bollos calientes. Cuando pagué, mi café estaba siendo preparado y pude ver el vapor que se elevaba de la jarra de acero inoxidable utilizada para la leche en mi café. Pregunté si la leche estaba fría y me dijeron "sí". Tan pronto como me fui probé el café y era obvio que la leche utilizada estaba caliente. ¿Por qué mentir? En vista de la historia de arrogancia e indiferencia no regresé, pero resolví escribir esta crítica. Lamentablemente, mientras manejaba hacia Sowton, probé los bollos de cruz caliente, que estaban rancios y no eran interesantes, a pesar de estar fechados 22 - 03 - 19. Entonces, algo está claramente mal en esta operación, no es de extrañar que Greggs esté asumiendo el control del mercado.

Popped in this morning for a quick bite and a coffee. Really impressed, breakfast bap was lovely, great coffee and the lady who was serving was a really friendly. Will be definatly be back.

This is about the city centre - Sidwell Street one. Food was not very nice. Ordered a decaf coffee and the waiter couldn't be bothered and served me a normal coffee. Rude staff. The place is quite dirty too. Definitely won't recommend.

Fue servido hoy por un amable personal educado. Los dos disfrutamos de un buen café y tuve una rotación de manzana realmente grande. El tamaño no comprometió la calidad porque era hermoso. No me había dado cuenta de que tenía crema fresca dentro, así que extra para mí. Definitivamente comería allí de nuevo

Acabo de entrar y pedí un rollo de salchicha caliente, después de asegurarme de que estaba caliente pagué y encontré que estaba abrigado. Cada visita es una gran decepción y recomendaría ir a Greggs o al garaje para obtener comida caliente decente a un precio razonable.

We found this bakery in Topsham with a nice seating area and further seats upstairs. The value of the food was very good and the variety was nice. My partner had a jacket potato which was a very good size. It was a little hard in the middle but the staff were more than happy to rectify this with a fresh potato. I had the homemade soup and pasty, which I expected to be small but was given a large pasty of my choice (selection of 5 or 6!!). I would come back again.

Popped into a Shaun’s bakery cafe in Exeter (I think there must have been more than one) whilst visiting the city recently, wife had a panini and I had a sausage roll, both pleasant enough as were the drinks and the staff were jovial and helpful. It is only a small cafe that we visited and tables and chairs very close together, but wasn’t a problem to us.

My husband and I had a wonderfully freshly made ham and salad sandwich and tuna mayo sandwich which were delicious. The tea was the best cup of tea we had whilst staying just outside Topsham

Dropped in just before noon on a monday lunchtime, spoilt for choice! Pies, pasties, paninis, cakes and more. I settled for chicken baguette which was perfect for £2.70. I also had a takeaway mocha which was probably the best i've ever had, for £1.45!

Good food and lovely service and great value. Just off the Guildhall shopping area. Do yourself a favour and find it.

Visited today, had middling expectations given average age of clientele, but I was drawn in by the window display and then proven wrong! Amazing double espresso, delish pasty and a jam donut where I think it might have been coated in some kind of lemony sugar. Highly recommend for lunch!

popped in with my daughter, quick and efficient service, selection and price competitive, does what it says and the ladies behind the counter were very polite and friendly. we visited the Sidwell street location.

Always used to be a favourite of ours when in Marsh Barton. Staff were different. Although they were tidying up at 3.20 and still open, not the most welcoming greeting. Decided to take away. Toasted cheese and ham sandwich looked like it had been run over with a steam roller. My chicken and tomato salad roll seemed as if it had been made much earlier in the day and was a bit soggy. Price should have been reduced to clear. Will not be going back again. Was going to give it 2 stars but felt that was being over generous. Might have the same name but the quality has gone down the toilet.

Just wanted something quick and not too expensive so popped in for lunch. Food was really good and filling. Wife had a jacket with cheese and beans and a good portion supplied. I had h all day breakfast which again was good. Its nothing fancy but staff friendly and good food so will definitely visit again.

Very disappointed with the food here. It looked good from the window but wasn't that great. We sat upstairs to eat and the place looked in need of redecoration. Paper peeling off the walls, paintwork poorly done. The food was brought up to us by 2 friendly girls so that bit was OK. The pasties had been heated up in a microwave and therefore the pastry, which was quite bland was soggy. There was no obvious sign of any vegetables inside just small pieces of potato and something brownie grey that might have been meat. There was no obvious seasoning and therefore no flavour. Not impressed

Fantastic quality- a proper old fashioned baker. Family friendly and very good value. The donuts are especially well made.

Stopped in for a lunch. I chose a chilli baked potato with cheese. Very impressed, the chilli was spicy without being overwhelming hot. Only downside was I cracked the cation trying to get the lid down. Gave up and ate some to close the lid.

Called in for a lunchtime snack, Wife had a Jacket Potato which she said was quite nice, I had a bacon and Brie Panini which was just one rasher of bacon and hunt the brie

I have been coming to Marsh Barton on business for years and always had breakfast, snacks or lunch at Shauls. Great honest food with friendly staff.

This is a bakery cafe so don't expect haute cuisine! When I called it was quite busy but the staff seemed to cope OK and were pleasant and friendly. No real gripes - the food was good.

This is a small bakery with a tea rooms on the first floor in the old town of Topsham. It is a popular place and kid friendly which can make it a bit noisy at times. If you just want a light snack and drink it is very convenient and the sandwiches are freshly made to order and very reasonably priced

Just popped in for a quick snack. Took ages in the queue but once food was obtained. It was enjoyed by us all. Drinks imcluded in price.

Went in here for a quick bite and a coffee.I know take away prices are cheaper but I wanted to eat in .I ordered a latte and a Viennese finger which was 90p but when I went to pay I was told it would be £1.40!when I queried this I was told "it's vat".ITold them I didn't want it and it was removed from my bill with bad grace.If this is how they treat customers I won't be using them again. if you are desperate for a coffee they are ok but watch the prices .

Sausage rolls.....not very tasty, dry like it had been re heated and luke warm left a bit of a taste in the mouth. Chocolate flap jack....stodgy not very tasty and also left a bit of a horrid taste in the mouth. The staff are freindly.

Clean, good service with a smile. Prices on a par with most bakeries. Outside seating for coffee and a doughnut!

Only went there because I was waiting for my car to be serviced around the corner. Decided to sit down and have lunch. Half a ton of chips, a mountain of beans and the soggiest shortbread pastry I have ever encountered on a Cornish pasty. Stodge all the way. Had to loosen my belt a few notches. Coffee was Lavazza and good. Staff pleasant. Would not recommend that thousands of diners fly in from all over Europe to sample this 'unique' cuisine. Luckily the wind was blowing in the opposite direction so I did not get the full benefit of Exeter city council rubbish tip.

Ok. Smelly outside-which seems to enter the building. Expensive - and nothing at all if you have to be gluten free through choice - so had to sit and watch friend eat doughnut while I had nothing .( she said it was very doughy too)

Food is good but rather overpriced to eat in. cheaper to take out and sit on the wall outside to eat. Although the smell from the waste depot over the road is rather off putting

So much choice of savoury and sweet. Hot snacks to take-away and gorgeous cakes - this business has been going for as long as I can remember and they have always had good quality and quantity for the price. Pay them a visit!

Visited this cafe/bakery recently.

I go to shauls every work day to collect lunch for my office colleges and myself.I can't recommend them enough. They are so nice and never disappoint I usually have a pesto panini, the staff are always smiling and cheer up my day! Also very helpful with vegetarian stuff!

This is more a café than restaurant but there was a variety of food on offer and plenty of cakes plus they make a good pot of tea and the staff made us welcome. It is also good that there is nice level access for wheelchair users or people less able with walking.

I had a really nice panini today at shauls and a yummy milkshake! They have such a great selection of food along with a lovely friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.

Had a full English breakfast one of the best fry ups I've had in a long time.The coffee served is best I've had in the city. Staff were very polite and well mannered. I would always go back to shauls

Visited restaurant today: coffee went back twice still weak and you could see the bottom of the cup, jacket potato microwaved or boiled not sure, prawns in runny mayonnaise, salad had cabbage in it, cold, soggy and inedible. Total waste of money. Also two others left without eating food, claimed food was crap!

I have just had the misfortune to purchase two large flaky pasties from the Shauls shop in Heavitree, Exeter. They were HORRIBLE! I can only imagine the staff had run out of hot pasties and decided to microwave some more. When I picked up the bag they literally wilted in my hands. The pastry was soggy and the inside searingly hot. Yuck! Shaul Bakery has had a good reputation for years, and I cannot believe they now allow their staff to microwave pastry items.

Not the best pasty I have ever had stale rolls pasty over cooked. Used to be very good but over the years they have gone down hill
