It was about 6pm and I decided to get take away, asked the hubby what he wanted and he asked for, battered sausage and chips with curry sauce, checked Google to see if Sharkey's was still open, it was and stayed open till 8pm, and read that I could phone in my order, so I call and ordered my hubby's meal and a small fish and chips with curry sauce for myself, by the time I arrived my food was nearly ready so no waiting around and could get home to eat, the staff are very friendly and polite. And both me and my hubby enjoyed our meal very much, will be returning in the future and would recommend it to everyone.

We have ordered twice from here and food has always arrived hot, well cooked and within the delivery time. Really good portions too! Delivery driver was also really pleasant. Won’t go anywhere else for a chippy tea 10/10

When they say a large haddock they mean it. The fish was really well cooked, fresh and moist. The chips weren't too greasy which was a nice change to usual fish and chip shop chips, some even had a bit of crunch and the peas were spot on too. Only reason I didn't give a 5* was due to not having my Fanta delivered so just check on arrival that you have your pop. I rang up for a bag of bits which was popped in with my order. Will be ordering again.

These are the best fish and chips in huddersfield id go as far to say as good as whitby....the large fish is huge but great in an oversized butty. The owner and his family are lovely . I urge anyone to try these you will be hooked

The best Fish and Chips I have ever had. I stopped eating fish and chips because other places cook it in old reused oil. However these guys keep everything clean and fresh, so the fish and chips tastes amazing!

He possesses so much kindness, it’s unbelievable tbh just how kind he is. Thanks again for another free can of Dandelion & Burdock. The driver noticed that I’ve been ordering from the other Sharkys branch in the town centre. Yeah, it has the same name, but I didn’t know that it was a second branch, that was a pleasant surprise. I came to almonbury with my friend and all the shops were closed only this one stayed open during the holidays, overall the food was very good and the people were kind, would recommend.

Delicious!! The portion of fish was lovely although the large chips weren’t as generous as we’d expected, based on the reviews. It was still just hot enough to eat, and the mushy peas were describing as being ‘just like my mum used to make’ by grandpa!! Praise indeed!! He ended up eating them straight out of the container so we wished that we had ordered more!!!
