Shanti Tea Boat, what an absolutely fantastic breakfast at the canal side location in Kirk Sandhall. (Mobile) I would have tried the cakes 🍰 but she had sold out but the bacon and egg sandwiches, coffee and waffles are out of this world. I will definitely be back.

Fabulous choice of fresh homemade cakes which are delicious and generous portions, great variety of teas and coffee, but more importantly Claire, the owner, is a brilliant host and always has a tale to tell - well worth a visit wherever she ends up mooring her boat 👍☺️👍

First time at Rawcliffe Bridge near Goole and what a lovely day for coffee and cakes. As always freshly made and massive portions. The coffee is made from a real coffee express on machine (On a Boat !!! ) and the beans they use are top notch, one of the best coffees I’ve had to date … all reasonably priced and what a lovely spot, perfect picnic place by the canal and Claire is such a nice person, we wish her and the two dogs every success xxx

My sister has been telling me about this little gem for a while and we kept saying we must come with you. Today was the day and didn't dissapoint. The bacon butties and my coffee was amazing, when Claire found out it was my sisters birthday she made a real fuss of her, and the cake we had was the best ever. Would definitely reccomend.

I love Shanti and all what Claire offers ( not forgetting friends that come help her ) Amazing snacks - we had a great afternoon tea with massages in Goole - follow the Shanti boat on face book. You will not be disappointed. Massages are fantastic - Claire invites you into her home for a relaxed atmosphere- I will not go anywhere else for a massage. Thousand out of 10 is what I score Very Good company. Very Good food. Very Good service Picture was from afternoon tea with a friend plus massage I forgot all other pics as I was too busy stuffing my face with goodies :)

Sorry it’s taken us so long to write the review, we met you at Goole after promising on social media many times we would visit. The friendly atmosphere was the first thing we noticed on visiting an absolutely unique business. Freshly baked cakes, crumbles, teas & coffee & other drinks available. We could see from what others were eating that the food was of a high quality and we weren’t disappointed, a five star hygiene rating and well deserved. We now stalk you on Facebook but in a nice way to see when your local or we can get to you when we take the dogs out for a drag. Thank you for being you, you bring charm, fun and a great atmosphere to the tow paths. Well done 10/10

Worth the travel from Barnsley. We loved the bacon sandwiches, delicious homemade cakes and hot chocolate. Claire is such a lovely lady making everyone welcome no matter how long the queue is and believe me it does get busy but it just shows how good it is. Even the cold frosty weather didn’t put us off, looking forward to next time. Please try it, just check out her whereabouts in the Facebook page.

Just had lunch at Jinty-B's in Thornhill, Dumfriesshire. Gorgeously quirky, comics wallpapering the cafe, great home-made toasties & cake, hot tea & coffee & everything is immaculate. Perfect for family groups & very dog friendly.

After a great morning walking in the Galloway Forest, we called in at the CatStrand. Wow, what a gem of a place.its a gift shop with interesting books and art. But the best surprise is the cafe. Serving the best haggis and baked potato ever! We have called their butcher to buy more haggis. They have a nice selection of local beers to wash down a haggis lunch Also, check out their entertainment evenings. We will be back!

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back
