Excellent little place. Very clean, lovely food at fair prices and dog friendly

We stopped in here this morning, killing time on our way to the ferry, ended up pleasantly surprised by a real gem of a place. Both ordered a full scottish breakfast, which came with toast and tea/coffee included. Food was great and the value is unreal - absolutely huge pot of tea, loads of toast, really nice haggis, sausage, bacon etc. Staff were really friendly and the whole place had a lovely relaxed vibe, everyone chatty and having a lovely time. The real treat was the huge range of sweet treats - i was full from brekkie but I am an unstoppable sweet tooth so i bought a biscoff rocky road and a banoffee tart as takeaways to have later. Can happily report both were delicious! If you find yourself in Newton Stewart be sure to visit Bridgend Pantry, you'll be glad you did!

We have visited the Pantry most days now whilst staying in Newton Stewart on holiday, as it’s that good!. The service is quick and efficient, the staff are always friendly and polite. The home made cakes and tarts that I have tried have all been excellent, in quality and value for money. The chocolate caramel tarts are exceptionally good! The home made ice cream is a favourite with my husband. Tomato and red pepper soup was delicious. We have just enjoyed their all day breakfast. We will be taking a selection of their home made bakes home to England next week for the family to enjoy too. Only sad this place is too far away for us to ‘pop’ in now and again.

Very reasonably priced good food. Very clean and waitress service. Limited parking outside but carpark not too far away. I had a square sausage roll and a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Would recommend these. They don't skimp on the tea 2-3 cups from one pot.

Awesome service, staff all friendly and were patient with our active 5year old the cakes we had were delicious and best coffee I’ve had in the town highly recommend. Ps do try the ice cream.

Great selection of tasty foods and at a great price. Not a fan of the coffee but everything else made it worth a visit for lunch.

We all (5 of us) had a cooked breakfast, a hot drink and toast for under £10 each. Food was lovely and this is always my ‘go to’ stop when in Newton Stewart

Good food & service. Clean throughout including the ladies' toilets. Well worth the wait for food if they are busy.

Staff friendly, scones amazing, freshly cooked and still warm. Dog friendly an added bonus. Will come back if in the area again

Lovely welcoming cafe with lovely staff and friendly regulars. Excellent tea & coffee and super breakfasts. Don't miss the lunch specials. Ice cream seems to be popular - will have to pop back to try that soon.

Absolutely spot on. Been twice over the last couple of months and both times the food is absolutely excellent and really fairly priced. 5 meals the other day and all were top notch quality. Good to see a local eatery place service good food. Would recommend and definitely will keep returning.

Lovely stopping place and great food

Fantastic find on a wet Sunday, just finished a walk with club, had already spotted cafe earlier. So glad we visited, I enjoyed fab toasted wrap, packed with chicken, salad and tortillas on side. Lovely coffee. Obviously very popular as staff ran off their feet, very friendly and efficient service. Prices amazing... Highly recommend if in area. Ice cream looked very popular with lots of children with huge cones.

Busy coffee/dessert/ icecream parlour at one end of the high street. Lovely desserts/tray bakes served with canny coffee. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Food excellent and good value for money, staff pleasant and friendly. Stopped in for coffee and cake earlier in the week, really enjoyed that too. We will return.

Amazing food from here - been fortunate enough to dine in and have takeaway. Staff are always so polite and the restaurant is clean and tidy. We all enjoy the filled rolls from here in the morning.....an excellent dining experience.

A very nice cafe in Newtown Stewart with a view out to the war memorial, river and bridge. Well decorated inside in a modern clean way. Large toasted sandwiches and well presented. Best Cafe I've found in this area and I'll easily return. Irn bru ice cream was great.

Stopped here does lunch as its dog friendly. Lots of choice, food is good and nice selection of cakes and ice cream.

I have only been in this place once but I would recommend it. It looked lik the best place to eat in Newton Stewart and the prices were very reasonable.

Nice place to sit in or take away some food. Bit of a long waiting time considering there was plenty of staff and it wasn't packed with customers. The food was fine when it arrived.

Had a really nice little meal here with some of the best milkshake I've ever tasted. Very welcoming to our two dogs too :) Very busy when we were there but easy to understand why!

Ice cream is amazing loads of flavour options, milkshakes are also perfect the food is great and the takeout burgers are just out of this world only issue is if you order ketchup they tend to forget for takeout

Love this litte Caffè, food is lovely, and you get good portions for your money. Service is great, and the girls will have a good laugh with you.

There is a limited choice of cage in creebridge, but that doesn't mean this place relaxes its standards. Clean, good cakes and coffee.busy staff and lots of them mean you don't wait long. It's a good choice.

Excellent place to stop for sandwich, baked potato etc with loads of choices of fillings and a good pot of tea. Staff very friendly. Recommend as a stop off on way to Stranraer boat.

Just love this cafe- my favourite place to eat and for coffee in Newton Stewart. The lovely staff are truly dog friendly and all so friendly. The food and coffee is delicious and such a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, and the place is spotless one off the best I have ever been in for cleanliness, the whole place is lovely, I would score it higher if I could, very pleasant, friendly staff, and a big bonus that it is dog friendly, oh your ice-cream is delicious. 👍

We came here on a rainy Sunday and loved the rich soft vanilla ice cream with a range of different sauces. The young man was cheerful and friendly and the portion generous. Definitely a recommend!
