I have been enjoying Shangai house food since around 2011ish. Food has always been freshly made, absolutly delicious, portions are big and over time standards have not changed. Staff are always lovely and helpful. Since I'm not living around the corner anymore, we get delived, it's always on time and still warm. So thank you so very much for your hard work Shangai house people 😊

After an hour of eating, both myself and partner took turns using the toilet. The race was real, however neither of us felt like we'd won anything other than maybe loosing a stone each in less than 24hours. First the stomach cramps then the hot sweats it was like an explosion never seen heard or smelt from man before. IF I could put zero stars I would. If you are looking to loose some weight and obtain piles then this should be your go to. Ordered Sunday to clarify we had no 217,no 3, no 61, no166, total order came to £31.20 ish. @

Reasonable priced take away -they only take cash btw not uncommon on the Wellingbourgh Road

Was it cat food???? If zero was possible and closing the shop down I would, not an angry customer but food is disgusting like literally I wouldn't feed it to my dog had to throw everything in the bin, customer service is 0 can't even understand proper English luckily I weren't too hungry and could wait for another takeaway and will be reporting this place to council

Great food at reasonable prices from all in one meals to muti person set meals.

Food is always great and staff are always efficient. The wait time is always as told. Its a very reliable place with a consistent quality all round

Wanted a delivery at 21.45pm when the restaurant closed at 22. 30pm. Driver obviously could not be bothered to deliver! Used “Wing Wah” for over 30 years, never refused delivery! Can’t understand customer service anymore and the food is not exceptional at all!!! Will not be using this facility anymore.

Have ordered take aways from here a few times,food always delivered on time,and very tasty.

Friendly staff and great food. Tofu in black bean sauce is esp nice (hubby likes beef in black bean) very close in taste to when we ate this in China. So feel its very authentic cooking. Not a long wait for take out either. Sometimes it's cash only, but there's an ATM across the road so it's no probs really. Many thanks.

It was a 'must have a Chinese delivery' moment! The delivery companies have a limited selection so I took to trawling the Web. Shanghai had a number of very positive reviews so I rang up. No delay in response by a very friendly assistant who explained that they could deliver to Denton but there would be a surcharge which I was ok with. The food arrived hot within 35 mins (told it would be at least an hour). The ribs in sauce were fantastic; loads of them and lots of meat too. The House rice was also delicious and had a lot of varying meats and prawns. The duck with ginger and spring onions was not on the menu but they made it for me anyway (a little more duck would have been appreciated). Possibly the best delivered Chinese in years and will certainly use again! This is a cash only delivery so ensure you can cover it before ordering 😉

Very quick service when order was rang through, food was piping hot and they certainly don't scrimp on the portion size.

Ordered meal for delivery 2 dishes vegetables in bbean sauce vegetables were a bit hard and the shrimp omelette was disgusting as the shrimps were all undercooked being still gray in colour seems like they just threw the eggs on top of raw shrimps youst to be nice meals from there but the standard has a gone down won't be using again

Our go to takeaway. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, and it is well worth the 10 minute journey to pick it up.

Our family favourite very friendly staff, tried home delivery for first time 2 days ago (we usually do take away) and food arrived in timely manner and was hot/delicious. Definitely recommend Shredded Crispy Chicken its really tasty.

Shanghai house is the only Chinese we order from in town. The food is always fresh and hot and tasty, never disappointed. Usually delivered really quickly on a Saturday night may take a bit longer but it’s worth the wait. Highly recommend

Been here a few times now. Staff are more than willing to accommodate requests. Food has been consistently nice. The mixed starter is generous and tasty. The chinese curry likewise.

Received raw chicken, when we took it back was shouted at by the chef and called a liar despite having it in our hands. Will never use this place again after this!!

What a smashing Chinese restaurant. We thought we would never find another goody after our local shut down after 30+ years. So glad we gave this one a go, it is as good as we have been used to. Definitely our new Chinese to go.

Tried Shanghai Chinese and English Food on Friday 17.11.17 for the First Time and the food was fantastic. They deseve the 5 stars and they come highly recommended.

Amazing little place, my chow mein came in a round plastic pot that I could microwave and reheat my food without having to transfer it on to a safe microwaveable container, which was very handy. My food itself was bigger than normal portions I get, and there was a lot of options of food to chose from. 😃

Reasonable menu choice. On the pricey side for a High Street restaurant. We'd go again as the food and service were good.

I went in on Thursday night this week and started ordering my food, only half way through my order the woman picked up the phone and started taking a telephone order, needless to say I walked out completely disgusted!! Plenty more food outlets in this road.
