Hing Lung Takeaway in Northampton

Lovely, fresh food. There aren't many recent reviews so I was a little apprehensive but I need not to have been, everything I ordered was lovely. I ordered on the website for collection and it was ready and waiting when I went in 20 minutes later. So pleased to have finally found a good Chinese in Northampton.

We ordered for the first time today and the food arrived quicker than stated and it was all delicious. They did unfortunately miss part of the order and when I called to inform them that they had missed part of our order they initially said we hadn’t ordered it. After going through the emailed receipt they eventually noticed the food that I was referring to. They did send it out quickly but this did mean the rest of us were eating our food while one person was waiting. Despite this we would order again.

Would not order from here again food was tasteless and bland think they showed the seasoning to the pot couldn’t even eat the food ordered salt and chilli prawns covered in thick batter no chilli to be found!

Popped in just to pick up a portion of noodles. Placed the order & then waited approx 40 mins for them to be brought out. No update while we waited, we just kept asking 'how long'? Noodles were tasty once they arrived but the wait put me off using them again & made us late for a gig across the road

Update: As of late March 2023 there has been a vast improvement in food quality at this place so congrats to them. I ordered their £9.50 menu for one and it has to be one of the best set of Chinese takeout dishes I've had. . . . . Unimpressed with my last few orders. The quality has gone downhill. Very greasy bland food and with some of the meat tasting awful.

The best Chinese in Northampton. So cheap for the portions and value. Much cheaper than most others. Never had a bad experience here! Lots of options for vegetarians (the best in Northampton by far), including salt & chilli soya meat. Food is always piping hot and ready on time. Salt and chilli chips are the best here and aren’t sweet/sugary like a lot of the other Chinese takeaways in this town.

My family and I are vegan, and this was the best Chinese we have ever eaten. The soya meat was AMAZING. Will definitely be returning!

Very bland food, no flavour, shame its not cooked the authentic way, by the pale look of the food i guess they have packed all there woks away

FOOD POISONING! Please avoid this place, my brother had sweet and sour chicken with veg rice there, he was vomiting for whole day and night. Had to call ambulance. This place needs to be audited.

Just had a fantastic take away for one. So sad.... But fabulous and enough for three meals. Quality and quantity spot on.

Had a fantastic experience in this place with my girlfriend. The food comes fast and the service is just awesome. Prices are reasonable.

Ordered Singapore rice noodles and salted rips and it wasn’t nice. I had to touch it up so I can eat it. very disappointed.

So our usual Chinese takeaway was closed, and I'm not usually one to stray from what I know. But we really wanted one and this was one of the only places open. I'm so glad I bit the bullet and tried somewhere new. Every single dish we ordered was lovely. Not one single complaint with the food. When I pulled up outside I did question what I was doing because initial impressions was how run down the place looks but you need to look past that. I went for food not decor and they did great. Would definitely return.

Superb meal, been a long time since we had such a fresh and tasty meal. This will be our for ever eatery. Fast delivery, pleasant driver and hot when arrived. Who can ask for more😍

Best chinese takeaway in Northampton. Food is always extra tasty 😍

Myself and my husband are vegan and usually enjoy the soya meat chow mien... however this time I asked for something off menu. I asked if they could do there salt chilli dish with soya meat and they were happy to oblige. It was the most delicious dish we have tasted from a Chinese! It’s so nice to find a Chinese that cater for our vegan needs and who are so nice when requesting things off menu.

We get food here quite regularly. What stops them from getting 5 stars are the prawn dishes.

Good take away chinese cousine place. Food very tasty and fresh. Staff however have got strong foreign accent which could be problematic during food ordering, but they are nice and happy to serve you. Not enough space and equipment there for eating in but as a take away place is worth checking. I am quite fully satisfied.

Best Chinese takeaway for miles around. Well worth the 10 mile round trip!

Un-edible rubbish.. this place has been going down hill for a while,but the last take away was terrible, NO vegtables in mix veg stir-fry just beanshoots ans half a slice of cucumber, the Kung Po chicken had grizzle in slimey batter and the Chicken satay was swimming in curry sauce NOT peanut sauce, thew the lot out and wont return again.

Great for vegetarians, they do soya meat. Very tasty :)

They charge you 80p to use your card to pay which is illegal.

Absolutely Pathetic They can't even take an order and make a card transaction over the phone. We were charged 3 times due to the stupid woman chatting to other people while taking details. When we've eaten from there before the food was basic and greasy. I would question their hygiene looking at the state of the premises. DONT EVER ORDER FROM THEM!

soya meet dishes have a ridiculously small about of soya meat in them since the restaurant has been taken over... really poor I called them and let them know and put the soya meatless meal in the bin...

Love the food everytime. Don't order online as they don't seem to get it. Best to collect.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food that I received, the rice smelt as though it had been frozen and reheated , it also tasted like water (nothing). I am a big fan of Chinese food but this has really upset me. I personally will not be eating from this company again

Have ordered from here twice & both times they got our order wrong. This last time we got prawn balls instead of pork balls & they insisted that it was our mistake! The crispy duck was little dry but quite good, however, the rest was just plain bland (prawn toast, chicken spring rolls) or too greasy (the prawn balls actually dripped grease when squeezed!). We won't be going back to see if they can get it wrong a third time!
