Poor Experience with Chicken Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken I recently ordered the chicken fried rice and chili chicken, and it was a very disappointing meal. Chicken Fried Rice: The fried rice was undercooked, leaving the rice hard and unpleasant to eat. It lacked any real flavor or seasoning, making it bland and tasteless. This completely ruined what should have been a simple yet delicious dish. Chilli Chicken: We specifically ordered chilli chicken with enough gravy, but what we received was completely different. The dish was incredibly sweet, which is not what you expect from a chilli chicken, and there was barely any gravy at all. It was dry and lacked the savory and spicy flavors we were looking forward to. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and the dishes were not prepared to the standard we expected. I hope the restaurant takes note and improves on both the flavor and quality of these dishes.

Loveable,Been in Basingstoke for 6 months and experienced some terrible takeaways. This has been by far the best . Had a special curry tonight and it was so good . Great prices, Great food , what more do you want in a takeaway.really love this one .

Just been for dinner in the last dish arrived 20 minutes after the first dish and the crispy duck was so crispy it was so dry , good job the ribs were in a sauce as they were just as over cooked, the house chow mein was nice though

This is my Chinese takeaway of choice and it never disappoints. A cute little restaurant that serves all your favourites, the staff are always friendly and fast when I collect and the food is always delicious.

Food was cold the chips dry and hard, the only thing that was warm was the chicken balls, the delivery driver screamed at my dog even though he done nothing wrong, so we called the restaurant to be told the manager will be sent out to look at the food, we waited over 30 mins so called the restaurant again to be told the manger was on his way but went back to the restaurant to make a fresh batch of food, this was the first time we ordered from the restaurant and will be the last.

Great food and really good value. Ignore the exterior appearance. The staff are great and the food selection on the Sunday buffet is amazing.

me and my partner tried out the Sunday all you can eat and honestly could not fault them, the lady serving us went above and beyond, even went as far as playing happy birthday and bringing out a surpise cheesecake and the food was delicious

Tried to order via Deliveroo but even though it said 5pm it still wasnt available at 5.15, went to their web site, made an account and at the end was given the choice of paypal or cash on delivery, i pay by debit card not paypal, and who has that much cash these days. Went elsewhere

Twice they cancelled our delivery in the last minute either missing orders or claiming lack of delivery drivers. Gone downhill since ordering from them many years .. zero at best.

Tried this restaurant on our trip to Basingstoke and it was delicious, the chicken satay and upon noodles were so yummy! I wish it was closer to us. So good we went back on our second night too, looks very nice inside, nice atmosphere lovely staff , great price a great amount of crackers given to you and even fortune cookies after. Definitely recommend.

Been meaning to review this place for ages. Went in here recently and was met by children in outdoor jackets wandering about behind the till. After about 10 minutes of waiting an adult finally appeared. Made my order, collected it and took it home. When I tipped out what I thought was prawn fried rice, I soon realised it was pork fried rice (I don't eat meat). I called the takeaway and told them they had mucked up the order, she told me if I want prawn it's "£1 extra!'". Couldn't be bothered to argue, went back with a pound in my pocket. When I arrived she started demanding the pork fried rice be brought back! I told her I'd tipped it on a plate and wasn't standing there with a spoon squeezing it back into the pot.. Got prawn rice in the end but ruined the evening. Don't bother, it's not worth the grief. Shambolic place

1st time try Quick service Nice clean 1st impression Missed an ingredient off order but good value, and mushroom curry nice...crackers a bit chewy...but would go again

Very poor customer service. I do not eat meat, egg or diary, so i ordered mushroom rice as I have done in other Chinese restaurants as normally is fried rice with mushroom. This one came with egg, this was not stated anywhere on the website for containing egg. I called them and the lady on the phone started arguing with me about I should have called or put no egg when ordered. other Chinese restaurants I order from don't put egg in that rice, so how was i to know it would have egg in to tell then not to do... she then told me it was my fault down the phone. Extremely disappointing service

Food was ok, totally not the worst in Basingstoke.

Food tastes good and good portions. price has gone up from previously, but I'm assuming this is to to do with inflation going up massively

Fantastic food and always really prompt service

Just picked up a takeaway from here for the first time and I won't be using them again. Everything was just very bland and mediocre - got the wrong soup order, the chilli beef was just vinegary with no spice and everything else just had no taste (no covid to explain that either!)

Took two and a half hours to deliver, food was not good, meat had loads of fat. By the time it arrived my kids had gone to bed already and eaten something else. Didn't even refund my delivery fee. There are better local restaurants. I'm not repeating that is for sure

The only thing that matters is the food and it was fantastic everything else is irrelevant

Just had an amazing Chinese, have been loyal to a different Chinese for years but as they dont take card or deliever we thought we'd give shanri-la a go. Was so hot, fresh and really large portions and the price was good also. We could even pay by paypal...well done, we will definitely be back.

Dismissed us as a place to deliver to even though we are only two miles away based on a postcode that wasnt in their system ?? I tried to explain that we are 500 yards from my parents who they had just delivered to but they didnt want to know.... we weren't in a position to go and collect otherwise I would have . Happy to give my custom to other more accommodating establishments

Food stone cold. I appreciate it was New Years eve but after waiting 90 minutes after delivery time had to collect it myself, no one answering phone or replying to messages.

ABSOLUTELY APPAULING ORGANISATION. To be completely honest - i can't comment on the quality of the food as we have not received it yet and we have been waiting over two hours beyond the time they quoted to deliver food. No notification that they would be late, nothing at all. It is shocking service considering we have already paid for the food. This establishment is either extremely poorly run or they have staff who are not able to manage workloads. Either way i would strongly suggest not using this restaurant - unless you don't mind being kept waiting without updates. For me - i just won't as i now have had to feed my kids seperately to the take away I've ordered. Waste of money and time. Shame on the management. I would give negative stars if i could.

We had a takeaway from here very good .they do a delivery service. I recommend you give this place a try

The best chicken balls I have ever had! Not overly greasy absolutely delicious really friendly staff. Probably the best Chinese I’ve ever had!

Tasteless overpriced! Never again! 5 king prawns in whole tasteless dish! Unseasoned! Asked for chilli but none! Chrispy chilli beef with not a hint of chilli? Prawn crackers must be days old? Chewy? POOR!!!

First time ordering and most of the food was delicious. Cooked quickly. Service was great. Restaurant was lovely and clean. But the chicken chow mein was the worst I have ever eaten 😔 It looked and tasted flavourless, like they had forgotten to add any sauce at all. Will try again but won't be having the same thing 😁

This is our go to Chinese the food is good and great portion sizes. Service and people lovely, it's great to have a local Chinese which you can get take away or sit in and eat. Really would recommend!!!

Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever had! The lemon chicken tasted like squash and the chicken was very bitter! Rice was cold on delivery.. not impressed! Definitely wont be ordering from them again!!!

Avoid . Over priced processed food . Crispy 'shredded' chicken was just processed chicken strips drowned in some sort of sauce making it all soggy , rice was OK I guess

Awful. The prawn toast was greasy, the duck wasn't crispy. The crispy shredded chicken wasn't crispy, and was like eating warm slugs (I'd imagine). The sweet and sour chicken balls were little sacks of grease, and they forgot to put the sweet and sour sauce in with the order. 75% of the food went in the bin. I'll never order from them again.

Portions are good size, having a table full of food is a great sight. Friendly staff, food taste is what you would expect, would recommend. Naturally wide selection of food as normal Chinese takeaways have with the added benefit of sitting in doors. When we visited after they opened it was cold but they have improved heating since then hence 5 stars

Ate in the restaurant. It was freezing cold in there. We ordered Salt and Pepper ribs to start. Absolutely delicious then it went horribly wrong mussels cooked in the microwave until they were solid. With house special chow me in which was just cold noodles hardly any meat and bland. Prawn dish overcooked and cold. We returned the food. Paid for the starter and drinks and left. During the snow we thought we would give it a 2nd chance as takeaway how wrong we were to do that Again bland tasteless food. Never again Thank you. Overpriced and under shelling.

Friendly service and reasonable price, takeaway food was prepared quickly and packaged well. Great flavour and freshness will definitely be a regular customer here. There is also a seating area for eating in and a bar. 👍
