Does good chow mein, food been constantly good,

Just spent nearly £20 on our tea/supper. It was absolutely awful! Most of it has gone in the bin. Never again!

Been here a couple of times now and the food is always good. Had the curry dishes and were really nice.

Arrived on Friday evening for a weekend away with family at Cleethorpes . Fancied a tasty Chinese late tea so called in to get a takeaway we ordered honey ribs, duck chow main and egg Fried rice also a chicken sweet corn soup. Came to around £18.50 Very disappointed was like few days old rustled up reeheated rubbish slight taste it was going off, very poor would never go back even if staving. I don't know how food establishments can dear except people to pay good money for junk like this. Avoid at all cost

First time order, this evening. Didn't order much, as I'm learning that Cleethorpes and Grimsby have some of the worst chinese food in the UK. Ordered what was supposed to be ribs, and a couple of other appetisers. The ribs were overcooked, or had been cooked several times. 'Had that pig pen taste, so they didn't soak/wash the pork prior to it's first cook, like a decent Chinese usually does. Ribs? They could've been anything. More bone than meat in some instances. See pics for details. Not recommended!

Probably the worst Chinese food we have ever been served. Chow mein almost black with soy sauce & contained ingredients you wouldn't expect to find in a chow mein such as carrots and chunks of mushroom. My partner's duck was dry & salty with nasty tasting plum sauce. The spring rolls were fine, obviously bought in frozen and cooked on site. I would not recommend this place and am off to make a sandwich because most of our food went in the bin

Never again. Very strange ingredients in the chow mein which was almost black there was so much soy sauce. Duck with the pancakes was really dry and salty. Not to be recommended

All Chinese's iv tryed in Grimsby or Clee since covid have gone down hill massively which has resulted in me wanting a Chinese but when I get it I'm disappointed so we tryed this place I haven't tryed before and i was very impressed,the crispy beef Cantonese style was nothing short of amazing,would highly recommend this will now be our regular go to Chinese.

Great Chinese takeaway and cheap. Staying in Cleethorpes for a couple of nights it was the go to place for really good food at reasonable prices. Will go there next time I am here.

First time ordering. Fast service. Lovely food. King prawn chow mein perfectly cooked with plenty of succulent king prawns.

Order the pancake roll and crab corn soup for a light dinner. They are both Freshly prepared and taste delicious! Would recommend and visit again

Had a wonderful soup with crab and sweetcorn. The pancake roll was to die for and packed full . Great price and so filling. Highly recommend to everyone

We gave this a try after someone recommended it but the house special chow mein wS just like a Sunday dinner with the veg and gravy in it

Thought I would try Shanghai express for a change as up that way in Cleethorpes . Ordered beef curry, plain chow mien, egg fried rice , chips and pancake roll. Fried rice chips and pancake roll was good but the beef curry and chow mien was absolutely awful. Curry was too thick and the curry powder was not cooked out enough, which just ended up with a curry powder taste which was not enjoyable at all. The plain chow mien wasn’t actually chow mien but just noodles, and they were overcooked and the sauce was way too thick. Chow mien should have been sprouts in it. I used to use this Chinese before and I thought I would give them another try as I was close by, but now I will go back to St Peters Chinese as in my eyes it is so much better. Very poor Shanghai express

GOAT. The Greatest Of All Time. A phrase common in sports applied to the best player or team to ever play the game. In terms of Chinese takeaways, this may be the GOAT. Granted, I haven't eaten at every Chinese takeaway but this one stood out instantly. First off, the portion sizes. They were big. Sometimes that can prove to be dangerous with quantity making up for poor quality, but that was far from the case here. Ordered a special hot box which was full of all things salt and pepper, a good dollop of rice and chips. Slightly low numbers in salt and pepper chicken but that didn't matter. A real feast. Shout out to the salt and pepper ribs. We also had a double happy which is crispy chicken fillet and crispy roast duck served on rice with curry sauce. Again, very, very nice. Final dish for us was crispy beef which again was fantastic. Lots of onions in there. Good sized curry sauce pots. Delivery available. As an out of towner, I will be back next time. 15 minutes from phone call to collection. Can't grumble at that. Surprised to see only a few reviews of the place.

Very good food, been going here 6 years now. Special fried rice is very good as well as their noodles.

Had a takeaway for 3 people even though there were 4 of us, couldn't finish it all, it was really really good. The lady who served us said we could change any meal that was advertised for another of the same value, which we had two rice instead of 3 and had one chips, the quality was very good, it was all very tasty, we were staying in a caravan, we will definitely go again when we are in Cleethorpes.

Pretty good tasting food, and more than ample amounts. Ready pretty quickly too. Unusually, there were not too many onions! All-in-all a good experience and we'll certainly go back when we fancy another Chinese meal!

Used this Chinese for many years but after my take away today I wont be using again the food was awful chicken an pineapple the sauce was like water an tasted awful and the chicken chow mein was the worst I've ever tasted the bin enjoyed it

Very rare that we eat Chinese takeaway as so often been left disappointed however my partner brought one back after work on Wednesday and we absolutely loved it. Piping hot all the way through, my sweet and sour chicken was very tasty and the giant spring rolls were incredible, that big though it could be a meal on its own!
