New Diamond in North East Lincolnshire

Absolutely awful, will not order again. Chips dry and cold and curry tasted stale. Ordered before and chicken wasblike rubber. Won't risk again

Got a family meal and unfortunately we was the first to be served that day and most of the food was reheated, dry and unfit to eat. If ever you use this takeaway make sure it's been open a hour or two or you get fobbed off with yesterday's food reheated. Won't be going there again.

Ordered a takeaway today and unfortunately it was disgusting. Had it delivered, was told 30 mins and it was here within 20 (and it's over a 5 min drive) but that is where the good news ends. Chips were dark brown and looked and tasted as if they had been cooked days ago and just warmed up. Lemon chicken was like rubber and very stringy, couldn't cut it nor could I get my teeth through it (yes they are my own). Certainly won't be ordering from here again!

Best Chinese about, been to Chineses up and down the lane and this is the best. Highly recommend laceby one doesn’t even come close

Ordered Chinese had ordered previously and was ok. Chicken balls greasy, chicken chow mein onions were very chewy, special fried rice as dry as Sahara desert and my prawn toast was burnt to a crisp. Wouldn't recommend sorry . Shame used to be so good

Order from here all the time never had a bad meal always fresh and fast delivery. Polite and friendly staff.

Had chicken balls looked amazing the batter was raw.. pancacke rolls the same batter raw inside and full of bean sprouts nothing else and very bland ...not a nice experience wont be ordering again

Bland dishes with no Chinese flavour. The meat in all of the dishes had been kept in some form of liquid, very tender but no texture, flavour and certainly not fried. The sweet and sour king prawn balls had an oily batter, almost burnt on the outside and hardly cooked on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce was thick and had an unusual taste, almost plastic. Also not cheap.

We have been going to the New Diamond in Scartho for our little treats once a month or so for the last 27years, their son used to deliver our takeaway in his car. We have always been so pleased with them. Always hot and tasty don't have takeaway from anywhere else. Great job to all. Staff always helpful and polite. Thanks Pat & Brian.

Like all Chinese take always you are known for your dishes. The curries here are the best without doubt and I've never had a satay anywhere else as good as it is here. It isn't the cheapest, or by any means the quickest. Waiting times can be crazy but it's all owed to the popularity of this takeaway. They always cook fresh and this is proven when we ask for some ingredients not to be included due to fussy eaters. Always accommodating and well worth the wait.

This WAS my usual takeaway but after finding a long black hair in meal I took it back and asked to speak to the chef/manager . When the chef/manager came from the kitchen it became very clear where the offending hair had come from as he had long straggly hair but appeared to be balding as well (I would have thought having a 5 star hygiene rating he would have been wearing a hair net) . I showed him the hair in the meal and he said what do you want me to do about it ??? I can give you a refund if you want , which I accepted but will never use this takeaway again and have advised family and friends not to either !

Consistently excellent---we have tried various dishes on the menu and all have been of the same high quality--everything tasty---good value---the best so far.

My wife and I have been regular customers at new diamond takeaway for over 15 years and have noticed that over the past month, the quality of the food is declining. We both sincerely hope that the owner corrects the decline, by improving its sourcing of the raw ingrediants used. An example which we have noticed over the past month or two, is the very low quality beef used in the dishes. We have had a selection of dishes and last nights meal was disappointing. We do hope that the decline is arrested quickly and we will continue to offer the business our support and will remain customers, but not if the quality does not improve, back to its original position.

Just tried the "New Diamond" at Scartho Grimsby. I've tried nearly all the Chinese take-away's in the area, but this beats them all, As I said in the title, good value for money, the foods not greasy, but very well cooked. I would recommend "New Diamond to any one. The reception area is very clean and welcoming, one tiny problem, is you have to park your car across the road in the carpark, as the shop has double yellow lines outside.

Have been using other Chinese takeaways in Scartho for a long time. Thought I would try somewhere different for a change. I ordered a chicken chowmein and I was plesently suprised. It was very tasty with fresh vegetables and not swimming in fat. I shall be using the New Diamond again

Ordered, was 1hr and 20mins delivery (pitched previously to be 40 mins), arrived and was luke warm. Rang back and was offered 5 quid off next order lol, I was told they were busy. Poor service. Expected more from previously highly reviewed takeaway.

Siempre usamos esta china y han hecho por 9 años. Nos juez a China por la calidad de sus bolas. Estas tienen grandes trozos de pollo y no demasiado pasta. No es caro, a pesar de lo que dicen otras críticas. Algunos sitios chinos en grimsby son realmente malo, pero este no lo es.

I often get a chicken curry delivered, it is always excellent and delivered very promptly after the order is placed.

La barbacoa costillas extras son con mucha carne y otros platos hasta los topes. A diferencia de muchos chinos de comida para llevar, mientras zanahorias y cebollas desempeñan una parte, no son las verduras único incluido.

We went on recommendation, couldn't believe how bad it was. Chicken & duck were good if you like fat and chewing, otherwise a tasteless greasy mess. I know Chinese restaurants like to put pineaple with duck but not a full tin of pineapple chunks for Gods sake! Terrible food, the worst we've ever had, threw it all in the bin and put it down to experience.DO NOT USE THIS DREADFUL PLACE!MINGING!!!

Lovely tasty food every time! We always recomend this place to friends, nothing is too much trouble. I would recomend if you want a delivery order to get in asap as you sometimes have quite a wait! Testimony to good food!

Great local Chinese, never dry as so many other Chinese establishments often are. I would recommend the chicken curry!

This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever used. The food is the best chinese food I have tasted. My only complaint would be that on Saturday from 5.30 onwards the phone is constantly engaged. I tend to phone up about 4.45 and order my food to be picked up later stating the time I want it.

I have lived in Scartho for over 10 years, and always used New Diamond.Always excellent quality, great portions and well priced. Love the special satay nice and spicy.

Ordered a a few dishes for delivery, quoted 45 min after 1 hr I rang to find out where food was, told it was in its way. It arrived some 45 mins later, considering we live 3 miles from the place I'm sure they were fibbing to me. I rang to complain as we were past eating when it arrived to be told they were busy and basically so what. The food was nice though but when compared to other Chinese takeaways, at least 15% more expensive and the delivery charge of £1.90 totally unnessecary! Sorry but never again!
