We tried this chippy as we normally order online , this establishment is immaculate , and the food was excellent , the only due side is you have to pick it up yourself 👍👍

We have been to Shanghai for years now, it was always consistently excellent and our favourite, i have recommended many times. Ordered several meals and starters. Picked up, got home and unpacked and straight away noticed a starter we payed for was missing, nothing I could do as it would cost more in petrol to go back. The food was absolutely shocking especially the chicken, everything tasted old even the salt and pepper chips. I removed the batter off the chicken and the chicken was slimy and conjealed. Had a couple of mouthfuls and could tell there was something off with the food, we had to throw everything in the bin. Could have been an off night for them but it was so bad we wont be going back.

The Shanghai chippy is the best Chinese food you can get anywhere as far as I’m concerned. You can see the cooks making your food.( well not at moment as only 2 allowed in), the food is consistently great and tasty. Cannot fault it at all, no wonder people queue up for it 😀

Ordered £20 of food. Was disgusting. The special curry was SO oily. Tasteless. Egg fried rice was burnt.. hard also tasteless. Salt & pepper chicken was awful.. just chicken in batter. Service- lady was rude because I asked for chips when I arrived to onto my order. Will never return

When ever I visit this take away, no matter what time, it always gives excellent food and a great service

We ordered from here and it only cost £15 for a few dishes & was enough to feed 3 of us so cost wise can't fault it. The chips were good & the Char Sui dish we had was lovely with a nice kick in it not too hot. The only reason I rated average was the fries rice was very average compared to most places we normally use and as that's the staple part of our meals that was a bit of a let down. On the whole was good value for money.

I have been to many different Chinese takeaway’s in bolton and I have to admit, this has been the best one - I have visited here many times now and never had a fault always been prefect, nice and fresh. Also as a bonus : The chips are your proper chippy chips which are also great probably the best around here for a takeaway.

First time we have ordered from here. Food was fresh hot and so tasty. Definitely recommended.the Bbq ribs are amazing lots of meat on them and not over cooked. The chicken satay sticks delicious too. Will definitely order from here again.

Ordered chinese food for all family each had something differant all the food was delicious and very tasty family where very impressed all would definetly order again the only downside is they dont deliver but is definetly worth a visit

I try not to have chippy too often but when I do go I always come here. Very friendly, very efficient. Cheap enough. It's always busy which helps, as we get more fresh food as its not hanging around for ages on warmer. Have tried tongs chippy further down Chorley old road but that was awful .

Always busy but always serve fast..🍝🍝🍝really nice food always come here. Great when you don't wanna cook.

Excellent Chinese take away, always a good un when you can have proper chippy chips with your Chinese, regularly go here, friendly staff and clean takeaway

Poor food - bland over cooked, wouldn't use there again. Ordered the Chinese meals waited 8-10 minutes then told they hadn't got my food, reordered waited another 10 mins. Both my better half and I were left dissatisfied with the quality.

We placed an order here on the advice from friends, and we weren't disappointed. A Sunday "can't be bothered cooking" takeaway for two of two mains and sides. The food was nice, the price was what I would expect. Only four stars as I wasn't amazed, but a solid four stars as I'll probably go back. And follow the advice of others and ring in advance.

We had a night in with friends and decided on shanghai. Never been before but decided to give it a go. It took ages to get our food amd when it arrived it was either wrong or cold. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Really good Chinese takeaway but very popular esp on Friday evenings up to 9 o'clock. I recommend that you 'phone your order first rather than placing your order in the shop as orders can take up to 20-30 minutes when it's really busy

I order from here most weeks by telephone, the order is usually ready to collect after 10 mins.. Very quick. There is a wide verity of Chinese food avalable and the salt and pepper chips are the best I have ever had ( very hot!! Beware)All of the items on the menu can be tweaked to you individual taste, I have never had a bad meal from here.
