Total inedible garbage and when complained the supervisor/ owner was rude dismissive, had zero interest in making it right and hung up despite quite reasonable not rude protest! However thay think delivering this is acceptable is beyond me and I WAS a repeat customer but never again! Crispy beef rock hard batter with zero beef....the photo cost £8!! The curry was just congealed sauce hardly any chicken.... my dog wouldn't eat this an £30 wasted

Normally my favourite Chinese food, would always recommend, but tonights was really abysmal. food was soggy like it was warmed up left overs. didn't taste fresh at all. soup was alright but everything else went in the bin. Not sure if a one off or not because it's usually great 👎

Normally order from here all the time as a loyal customer and feel really let down tonight. The food was all stone cold and not fresh. I called the takeaway to speak with the owner and who was argumentative and rude. Will never order from here again

Food was cold with no taste. Part of order missing so I had to go back and ask for it meaning I waited even longer than I already had!

Everything was great however the soup had no taste and was hot water with corn in it, really inedible, no flavouring at all

curry wasn't nice, tasted sweet.

Always good, you can be confident of quality from here even on busy or tricky days like a bank holiday.

Usually we enjoy food from here however tonight the food was so poor. the food was so greasy and covered in oil. The chips were so bad! Looks like they have changed potatoes they are awful!!! waste of £23.

Great food. Ordered small spring rolls and char sui fried rice. Came hot and good size for a takeaway. Fried rice tasted great and was piping hot when it arrived

Crispy Duck was dripping oil/grease, the Char Sui Chow Mein was greasy & the Char Sui was either really chewy or a piece of fat! Absolutely disgusting! Both crispy duck & char sui chow mein went in the bin! I will not be ordering from here again!!

Would of given 5 star but the only reason i ordered really was for a chop suey roll to dip in curry sauce. My chop suey roll was rhe onky tuing that didnt turn up . The restt of the food was absoloutely lovely though and the mrs thought so too after saying she didnt want anything.. will order again !

The Char Siu Chow Mein had hardly any Char Siu, hardly any noodles and it was really greasy, too many carrots and too many green onions! I usually love the Char Siu Chow Mein but today it was disgusting! The Crispy Duck was great but half my order went in the bin!

Lovely food, best prawn toast we’ve had in ages and good portions too. Starters get a bit soggy in the foam containers which is a shame but still very nice taste wise

Your delivery driver needs telling to pass the food to the customer!! Not just leave it on doorstep and drive off! We are a block of flats and my neighbour picked up our food luckily they are good neighbours and knocked to ask if we ordered food! This driver has left our food on the doorstep and drove off a few times now and it's not acceptable!! You seriously need to tell him or get rid!!!

Didn’t get a complete order (missing curry sauce - I should’ve double checked) There was a fair bit of egg shell in the foo young. Rare for Shanghai House to not be great so I’m disappointed

Waited over an hour and a half for our food because the first driver didn't read our address properly. Wasn't told there was going to be a delay so after ringing up was told it had been sent back out with our address as priority. Then waited another 25 minutes for our cold food to arrive from a place that is only ten minutes away with no apology from the second driver. All this to eat some bland, watery and cold food. Great. Avoid!

Love this place so much! Perfect comfort food. Massive portions, great seasoning. Chicken and sweetcorn soup is the best I’ve had. Seaweed is just right.

The driver had a really bad attitude and the chips on our order were stale and looked as if they had been in the fryer all day. The chips were thrown away and I had to cook some from home.

disgusting sloppy , no fried rice , no curry sauce, noodles like worms and greasy, orfee was shocking, usually lovely place to order from this time its like a new owner as was nothing like the usual standard vile avoid, as when rang , staff rude , wasn't interested even tho used the place for years...won't be going there again

When order arrived half of the items ordered were missing. As soon as I called they knew what item hadn't arrived. The girl I spoke to seemed disinterested and said item would be sent out again or I could request a refund. No apology or acceptance that other items would be cold when missing items would arrive. Very disappointed and will not order again as not first time items missing and similar response last time.

Usually good food, but missed chips off the order so called the shop, they would send some out with the drivers they said. We waited for 15 mins and nothing, tucked in to the food without chips and called the chippy to say we don’t need them, who had not even sent any yet.

Great food. Portion coukd be s bit bigger as only soup but was very tasty. Price reasonable. Recommend

Best Chinese around, food quality is next level and the food always arrives piping hot and fresh. Ordered over and over again and never had a problem.

As per usual food was exceptional. Shanghai House never fail to deliver a lovely meal. Never had a fault with this place and this is why we keep returning to them. Always have the order correct.

FOOD NEVER TURNED UP. Called up after 1 hour 15 minutes to be told it was on its way with the driver. Called back 20 minutes later and the driver said a different road name… told me to contact just eat for a refund.

Food was lovely, but needed reheating...

I really enjoyed the food, the vegetarian soup was amazing, main courses were full of flavour, very tasty. The only slight niggle was, we only received 6 Spring Rolls when it says 8 on the menu but it didn't spoil the meal - We both really enjoyed the food and would order from them again.

Superb. First time ordering from here and won't be the last, all of the food was amazing.
