I love museums in Liverpool but especially this one.Not only because they are free to enter (except for special events), the beautiful architecture of the sandstone building itself is rich in history. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Sometimes rooms are closed, and speciman draws can't be opened. On these occasions, this can be disappointing, however. on the whole well worth a visit. I would Recomendation: as it is a popular venue for school children to visit during term time, if this bothers you. I recommend visiting later in the afternoon when they have all gone back to school.

Excellent museum. We were very impressed by the displays and amount to see there. The Bees and bugs floor was amazing. The Egyptian and world cultures floor was also epic. Access, parking and facilities were all really good. The biggest disappointment was the dinosaur experience. The area was run down and tatty. And some of the displays were just kids toys in a display case! Otherwise everything else was excellent and well worth a visit.

The World Museum in Liverpool is an exciting place with something for everyone. It has a fantastic range of exhibits, from ancient Egyptian mummies to a fascinating planetarium. I loved the natural history section with its impressive dinosaur skeletons and the interactive displays that made learning fun. The museum is spacious and well laid out, with something new around every corner. Whether you're into science, history, or space, there's plenty to see and do here. It's a perfect family-friendly spot that’s educational and entertaining all in one!

I was disappointed with the museum overall. The displays in some cases were not lit at all. In others, the lighting was too dim to make out what you were looking at. Some of the displays had buttons to press to make something happen, and these all didn't work. The items on display were, for the most part, dirty and covered in a visible thick film of dust. The whole place has a run-down feel to it. On the plus side, the food in the cafe was tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly.

Probably a top 5 museum in the UK. Right next to lime street Station, very close to the waterfront and a very varied museum with a little bit of everything. It includes cultural history, an aquarium and critters house, ancient times, and there was a bee exhibit at one point so they keep up with the excitement. Its also close to buses that your Liverpool and the main areas that were made famous by a certain band from Liverpool. Oh and it's free entry but accepts donations.

ACTION NEEDED: Please monitor lifts. My partner had to wait 30 minutes to enter a lift to leave the building. As a wheelchair user, this was his only way out of the building. I honestly thought we would be there for hours until I asked one of the reception staff for help. Staff had a very blasé attitude, saying "oh it always happens around this time of day, people get lazy." I urge you to reconsider how you'll respond to someone in this situation in future. Exhibits were very informative but was heavily tainted by this experience.

The visit was free apart from the paid bee section which was interesting and you can tell they put alot of thought into it. Each floor is dedicated to a different subject and the only thing I found was the signage wasn't that clear so it's easy to miss things or not know which parts are free, which most of it is.

A nice afternoon out with the kids. Only 3 stars given as most of the floors are not fully open. Some exhibits are being updated. The ones that were open were in need of updating.... Bug exhibition now very small, no leaf cutter ants currently. Dinosaur exhibit is tired and lacks interactive content. On the plus side kids loved the aquarium, space and ancient Egypt exhibits. Food in the cafe by the entrance was lovely. Long wait for lifts at busy times but personally I'd rather this than use the stairs after a member of the public (grown woman) was repeatedly trying to kick my son as he was going down the stairs slowly (he's a toddler).

Took my grandchildren for a educational holiday to Liverpool and its museums and had a really fantastic experience, the exhibits were well presented and attached signs were simple English so my youngest could read and understand and absorb. All varied in age from four to fourteen and they enjoyed it so much. They are seasoned museum goers and loved it. The planetarium was great and worth every penny and however the museum lacked seating space for kids and the elderly. A great experience and parking is limited, expensive and overpriced. Cafe is on the dear side, despite a recession si I recommend bring food and drink for the kids as a portion of chips is 3.50. Pop drinks are around 1.50 so beware the cafe.
