Apparently the best museum in the north west is in Bolton. All I can say is that person never came here. This museum is head and shoulders above that one!

Fantastic venue, easy access and so much to look at. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 5 floors of exhibits, with access via stairs or lifts. The onsite cafe is also great with a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. A thoroughly enjoyable day out. Free entry, though I did give a well deserved contribution.

Visited the World Museum. Will be honest. It's not as good as it used to be. There's not as many sealife creatures to explore. Some of the tanks are empty, They used to have the ants walking along the rope, which they no longer have. The large spider used to be on the ceiling above your head. Which is now situated on the wall above doorway. However, it's still worth a visit. Especially the mummy section. I never went to check out the science part was short for time. So can't comment. I never tried out the cafe so can't comment on the food. FREE ENTRY to museum. Donations greatly appreciated.

A great spot for families and especially young kids. Free entry with option for paid visit to the planet floor. There’s around 4-5 floors including the bee floor, dinosaurs and the aquarium which we really enjoyed. Toilets on every floor and a really fun experience over all would recommend everyone visit. Also good location and close to the park and other museums.

It's great for entertaining the kids during the holidays. I prefer quieter times, they do different displays, from Egypt to Bees, so it's well worth a visit Definately, but not during school term times. The cafe is not so great, when we visited it was a mess, with food everywhere, it looked like a tornado had whirled through, with bare shelves & chiller. Not a comfortable, nor very welcoming place! It is if your only wanting to grab & go. Not impressed tbh. But the museum itself & exhibits first rate!

IT WAS FREE! AND ALL THE MUSEUMS ON THIS DAMN PLANET SHOULD BE!! we should have brought some notebooks to draw with. Which we certainly would have done if we had stayed long enough to return 😁 go back because it's free. All this knowledge and culture, accessible to everyone because entry is free, did I tell you entry was free? Several floors with lots of different exhibitions. I know thanks to this museum that this bastard Picasso, in addition to being a human shit towards women, literally sucked all African art. Thanks for that museum! I love to hate Picasso 😁 Possibility of bringing your own food, and eating on site in the spaces provided for! what's cool

A Must-Visit for Curious Minds! This museum is an exciting place to bring kids and explore how the world works. It offers a fascinating journey through history, covering the entire world’s past. The best way to experience it is by starting on the top floor and working your way down, allowing the story of humanity to unfold naturally. It's an engaging and educational space that makes learning fun. Absolutely love this place!

A definate place you'll need to visit if you like museums. Especially as it's totally free to get in, there are a few donation boxes dotted around, which we used. All 5 floors can be easily accessed via lifts and stairs. I went with the wife and grandkids and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time here. There was so much to see and do here that time ticked by without us noticing. The cafe was a little on the pricey side but seeing as we didn't pay to get in it seemed fair. There was also a picnic area ( a room with tables and chairs) for the frugal amongst us

Arrived there at 4.15 and unfortunately didn't get to see it all. Nevertheless the staff didn't rush me out and I wish I would be able to return there one day and spend way more time exploring. The lady I approached on the stairs with ease explained what is awaiting me on each floor and not sure how she scanned me but straight away said- third floor Egypt! I could not believe the amount of artifacts and mummies this place collected. The only downfall was children running around and shouting but I suppose the parents and children were already tired. It is the right place to teach respect for the dead though. Apart from that it is the place I would love to return for definite! Hopefully nt as a mummy though lol

My visit to the World Museum in Liverpool with my family was a truly memorable experience. The museum offers free entry, which is a fantastic bonus for families looking for an educational and fun outing without breaking the bank. The museum's exhibits are diverse and captivating, catering to all ages and interests. From ancient artifacts to interactive displays, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from. The kids were particularly fascinated by the dinosaur skeletons and the planetarium shows, which added an extra layer of excitement to our visit. You'd have to pay for the shows. Accessibility was also a major plus, with ample off-street paid parking conveniently located next to the building. This made our visit hassle-free and allowed us to spend more time exploring the museum's treasures. Overall, I highly recommend the World Museum in Liverpool for a family day out. It's an enriching and enjoyable experience that offers something for everyone. We can't wait to visit again!

Alot of ehibits and displays need updating in my opinion as they are tired and worn. Of course there's educational value here. But if you want to know why certain fish apparently resemble the LGBT+ flag you can find that here too. I mean come on, clutching at straws here aren't you? Gets extremely busy and maybe they should limit visitor numbers for safety reasons.

A wonderful member of staff was so patient with my daughter who questioned him on rocks and fossils for 20 minutes and even gave her a sticker for her efforts! The layout of spacious and the exhibits are well thought out. There is a whole exhibition dedicated to the question of who owns history, and the museum embraces the complexity of the colonial history of Liverpool. We were blown away and will be back.
