Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 2-5th March 2025. We booked 2 rooms, my room was a studio room which was fairly large with a lovely view. The bathroom was a decent size with a huge bath and decent waterfall shower, very modern too with large fluffy white towels. There is a spa in this hotel but didn't get time to use it and I believe it's a great spa. The bar is modern and the staff are all very friendly. Our visit was to go to the Philharmonic Hall which was straight across the road so couldn't have been any closer. We used Ubers to get around (even though we did have a car) it was cheap and very reliable. My only complaint was we had to pay a deposit of 100 pound per room which I thought was a little excessive and 2 days later we still haven't got a refund of said money. All in all great hotel, great location and lovely staff.

We booked on relatively last minute and chose the spa day with the rasul treatment. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. There were 2 saunas - a herbal and a Himalayan salt one. The herbal felt hotter but the Himalayan one airier with lots of light. A steam room, which I didn't spend much time in and in a separate room, heated marble beds - I found this part the most relaxing. There was a separate ice bucket you stand underneath and tip on top of you, showers and also Ice cubes to cool down. I gave a 4* because we expected the rasul treatment to be applied by someone and then wrapped but we had to apply the mud ourselves and then sit in the steam room but it took a while for it to heat up and was mostly hot on our feet. We had fun with it and all in all it was a cool experience. The staff were lovely and talked us through everything beforehand. Just note parking isn't included and the nearest car park was quite small but we made the most of it and explored a little bit. I would recommend it here and would love to go back again!

We have just spent the most amazing weekend here. We only had one issue with some condensation which was dripping on the windowsill but was resolved quickly while we popped out for lunch. The room was clean and modern and the bathroom was very relaxing and fresh. I loved the lights on the mirrors and the rain shower. We had a great view of the philharmonic outside our window and it wasn’t too noisy considering they had a few shows on. All the reception and restaurant staff where very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really nice in the 1931 and a member of staff told us about the buildings history. Our favourite part was definitely the spa. Thank you to Holly and Kahli for our treatments, they where so lovely and professional and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. Really liked how they give you a booklet with all the products they used, I purchased some for myself. We can’t wait to come back here for more treatments.

Just stayed for a weekend and definitely wish to return. The hotel is located very centrally in the beautiful historic Georgian Quarter. It’s a quieter part of the city centre and you get lovely views of the cathedrals and the Liver building when walking in the neighbourhood. Lots of bars and restaurants close by without having to go too far into the city centre. The hotel bar and restaurant both serve great food and drinks in a buzzy yet not overwhelming atmosphere. The bedroom was spacious and well decorated. Lots of warm wood and exposed brickwork which we definitely appreciated. The bathroom was a great size, and had a window. The hotel was well designed and realised with very high quality materials, it has stood the test of time beautifully and is embibed with a lived in and looked after feel, in the very best way possible. The spa was a revelation. It was very well maintained, incredibly clean and the people working there were very friendly and welcoming. The two hours slipped by all too quickly but it was a very relaxing morning and I can’t wait to visit again and float away in the magical swimming pool! The breakfast was excellent. The choice was incredible and everything we tried was delicious. Thank you the team who’s hard work made the visit so special. We really appreciated it. And if you’re wanting a relaxing break in Liverpool I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

My daughter bought both of us an expensive spa package with spa breaks costing over 600 GBP for 1 night. The thermal experience was too short and due to having treatment booked, we had to come out early. The spa treatments were not as relaxing as we thought they should have been but we have discussed this with the hotel. Difficult to negotiate for disabled person within the treatment rooms. The hotel rooms were gorgeous 🥰, but difficult for someone who is disabled, because of long wait for lift the 5 stairs to the room. Food was not as celebrated as I thought it should be and limited in the 1918 restaurant. The breakfast was fantastic though, next morning. I just think it is a lot for 1 night at over 639 GBP.

We stayed for three nights, arriving on November 5. Wonderful room with amazing views across the city, and a firework display thrown in. The room was perfect, modern, unfussy and clean with a lovely bathroom. Staff could not have been nicer, and so efficient. We had booked an evening at the Philharmonic, so the location was perfect. Lots of restaurants near by, including the one attached to the hotel, which was wonderful. Amazing view outside at street level of the 2 cathedrals at either end of the street. Really enhanced our stay in Liverpool.

Hope Street Hotel Liverpool's finest independent boutique hotel. Located in the Georgian neighbourhood with a Cathedral at each end of the street. This hotel has every facility you could possibly want. A choice of beautiful modern rooms and suites. Two restaurants, bar, cinema an award winning spa. There's even a gym, whatever that is?🤣 From the moment you walk into the reception area, you are greeted by the most friendliest of staff. Which made us all feel so welcome. They even gave our doggies treats. The room we were allocated was on the third floor. Which was very spacious with an en suite shower and bath.A lovely lounge with a little unexpected surprise of a patio overlooking the Liverpool Philharmonic. We booked here specifically because it is very dog friendly and had plans to visit a nearby restaurant. The dogs sat with us in the hotel bar area while we had drinks and they were given water bowls too. This hotel is incredible and we would highly recommend a stay here when in Liverpool. Our doggies Freddie and Bobby loved it as much as we did. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and Jess for sorting out the reservation. We wished we could have stayed longer to try out more of their fantastic facilities. Still, that's something to look forward to as a return visit is a definate.

Building is beautiful, spotless, customer service was good. They dont give out multiple keys for each room which made me feel safer actually. The only HUGE let down was the spas hygeine practices or lack of. The therapist was very good, again, the building is stunning especially the spa part but considering how much you're paying and realising they don't change the towels between each client on the massage beds, no wonder they are a dark colour. So you're literally laying on and under towels that have been used on every single other clients oiled and naked body that day. Not to mention the towels are extremely thin too. I work in this industry and I know that too many high end spas don't change their towels between clients, if at all for days, all just to keep costs down and this place is exactly the same. Disgusting when you're paying nearly £100 or more for a massage. Do better please.

Stayed as a couple for 2 nights in October 2024, for a reunion event. Good points were a 4th floor room with a great view over the city rooftops down towards the Mersey. Room was modern and well-furnished. Food quality at dinner and breakfast was very good, restaurant service and bar staff were attentive. Room service breakfast was bang on time and exactly as ordered. Food arrived stone cold, but we expect that. In the first mid-afternoon, we asked for a bucket of ice to be brought to the room. Oh dear - it seemed to be such a huge problem. After waiting and waiting, ended up phoning reception three times about it, with no result. It finally culminated in my making a personal visit to the reception desk to ask, for the fourth time, for ice. At long last, it arrived! What a long struggle to get something so simple. At the same time, the room was unbearably hot. The air-conditioning controls proved quite impenetrable. No matter what settings I applied, it insisted on blowing out hot air. Phone calls x 2 to reception twice produced the promise to set it "remotely" to cool down. Sure enough, nothing changed. Made yet another personal visit to reception to ask them to send someone up to set/fix the air conditioning. They promised to do so - sure enough no-one came. I wonder if at reception, promises are made simply to make the guest go away. This hotel clearly has a high opinion of itself. There may be some valid reasons such as location, decor, food quality, restaurant and bar staff. It is a shame to spoil this aspiration by failing to do simple things like delivering ice promptly, and fixing the air conditioning promptly. It can't be that difficult and small failures like these do taint the overall experience. There's no reason why guests should have to ask for the same thing, 3 to 4 times over. We would stay again, but next time we'll bring our own ice and a portable air conditioner.

I'd booked a solo spa weekend at Hope Street Hotel. This would have been my second stay there, but the hotel had suffered a major maintenance fault with the fire alarm. My poor review is on the communication of the problem. I arrived and was told my room wasn't ready, asked to wait. When nothing happened, I asked for an update, was then half checked in, incidental charge taken, key handed, before quickly being told I could not go to my room and to sit for an update in 5 minutes. After a half hour I went back to the front desk to be told, I'd likely be moved to a new hotel due to the fault. At that point, I asked for a full refund which they agreed to and alluded to compensation for my troubles. I've had no direct contact from the hotel since, I chased once by phone for my refund, which has now been processed, however the handling of the unavoidable issue was very poor. I'm now out of pocket for extra train fare and had a nice weekend completely ruined.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! The hotel room was fab (was given room 136) I asked for the house wine and petals to be placed in the room as a special touch for husbands birthday. Received both (paid extra) and got complementary slate with a happy birthday message in chocolate on it and 3 truffles. Amazing touch. The room itself was great. Bath was huge. We had a 2hr thermal spa journey included in our stay which was just amazing!! Can't praise the spa highly enough. Fabulous!! Breakfast was included which consists of a buffet style both hot and cold with so much to choose from. The best breakfast I've seen in a hotel. The staff are just wonderful so polite and chatty. They can't help you enough and gave us some lovely recommendations for food. Would like to give a special mention and thank you to the guy who works in the 1931 restaurant who has the best haircut! You know who you are 😁👏. All in all would highly recommend Hope Street Hotel to everyone. Thank you all for an amazing stay.

We stayed at Hope st Hotel over the bank holiday weekend while attending a friend's wedding. I paid over £300 per night to stay in one of the studio rooms. I was a little disappointed with the standard of the studios and asked to change room, which was quickly resolved. The rooms are clean but slightly basic (no fridge or character) I think the whole hotel could do with upgrading. The spa really made up for the stay, we really enjoyed the spa facilities (although £55 is a little excessive if you're already staying in the hotel). The breakfast was tasty with a wide variety. Overall we enjoyed our stay but think it was overpriced for the standard of the rooms.
