Shan Tandoori in Brighton and Hove

I have been using this curry house for about 4 years now. The food is consistently good and very reasonably priced. Delivery always arrives hot within the quoted window. I am reluctant to try anywhere else !!

We had our first takeaway from here last night and it was wonderful. Both the chicken tikka Dhansak and chicken tikka Balti were delicious. Great depth of flavour and spicing, succulent meat, generous portions and good value too. Also the onions bhajis were the biggest, freshest bhajis I've ever had. Very happy to have found a great local curry house!

Title says it all. Will never go back there for takeaway. Poor service. Everything tasted bland. Waited ages for delivery

Ordered from here yesterday, I had lamb korma and my partner had a Ceylon. We both enjoyed our meals, and plenty left for another meal the following day. The meat was very good, and the curry very flavoursome. Will return. Thank you

I've had some nice curries from this place near me but I've heard that very many Indian takeaways don't use lamb in their curries but substitute other meats. I am absolutely certain that my lamb Ceylon that I had the other day was beef (very nice... but the dishonesty). Where is the checking procedure? Pete (Mile Oak)

Always very friendly service and quick to prepare. Very accommodating especially for vegan diet. Food is good, my wife loves the chicken goa curry. Could do with a few more authentic dishes (not just catering for brits view of Indian. Otherwise 5 star.). However, they do have large menu and good range of starters and sides. Portions are huge so good value.

We ordered a meal for two, which has a selection of different foods from tikka starter to lamb Bhuna amongst it. Unfortunately the food was bland. There was little to no spice used in it. The onion bhajis struggled to taste of onion! The portions were good but due to the blandness a lot of food was leftover. We have had other meals from here before and they have been good. Come on Shaan, get back to your old cooking ways as they were really good!!

This was my first visit to Shan Tandoori. I had a chicken dansak with rice, garlic naan, onion bhaji's and another curry. The price is very reasonable and the size of the onion bhaji's is massive, they were delicious. My chicken dansak was sweet and creamy again it was delicious. Maybe the only thing they could change was the size of the garlic naan as it was a tad on the small side but for one person It is fine. I don't like to go to different places normally but I am glad that I did. we will be getting another curry from here again and recommending to friends. The staff was friendly when I went and picked up the food. We did not have to wait long to pick up either which was a nice change, normally we have to wait up to an hour so 20mintues was speedy and the food quality was still top notch. hopefuly this review helps others (this is my first review so go easy)

Lovely local takeaway and Great Indian food. Service always friendly and quick - they offer free local delivery.The chef is happy to make adjustments to the dishes to suit your taste.Looks very clean and has a 5 star hygiene rating.Well worth trying.
