Shampan Bromley in Bromley

I first ordered from here on Uber, but the driver never delivered. So, we had to order directly and go to collect. The order was seamless, and the wait time was good. Great atmosphere. Would like to try eating in at some point.

First time in here and I can’t complain about anything. The food was perfectly done as we wished and our waiter Shahin was very kind to us the whole time. Next time I‘m around this town I‘m going to eat here again!

Went for Sunday buffet and disappointed with the food. Food was very bland. No spice or flavour in chicken gravies, lamb was okay. Have been to better Indian buffets with more choice of food and better atmosphere.. I hope the dishes are better for non buffet food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years with friends and family. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly. I have also had the pleasure of arranging family events and parties with this restaurant as they have plenty of space downstairs. I highly recommend this restaurant for all types of occasions. You won’t find a better restaurant than Shampaan. Absolutely fantastic. 👍🏽🍛😉

Bit more expensive than your average takeaway but I figured the quality would be better. Definitely better quality meat used but I found the flavour to be (somewhat surprisingly) pretty bland and flavourless. Had a jalfrezi and it was pretty disappointing.

Shahin and Shaheed were excellent servers and the food was delicious. Lamb leg so tender

Delicious food served by a friendly staff (we were led by Shahin). My son enjoyed an excellent butter chicken and my mother some delicious tofu. I had the seared haddock, which could quite easily have been the perfect dish. A point off for some very old, dry fish at the centre of an otherwise perfectly balanced plate. We’ll be back for sure - The Shampan has been a bit of a tradition since my own childhood, and has maintained its place in the area as a restaurant worth taking the time to visit.

Have been going to this Restaurant for forty-three years. My dad Irish johnny was a regular at this restaurant. Open up till death 3 years ago. Last night had a Takeaway Chicken tikka was dry tastless, The worst chicken curry I have ever tastled in my life, Bomb bay potatoes were hard. so sorry to write Disappointed.😞

Overall great but one glaring issue. I want to start off by outlining that the food was flavoursome and well presented. The service was prompt and very friendly. However, there were an issue with transparency which put a damper on the evening. The restaurant offers ice cream as an desert priced at 5.95. I asked the waiter how many scoops would he included in that portion and he said 3. I then asked if he could do a single scoop and he said he could but then he ended up charging me for the three scoops. When I tried to ask him about the pricing before settling the bill he said he couldn't alter the price. In the future, it would be nice to know that beforehand so I can get three scoops of ice cream instead of paying 5.95 for 1 scoop.

Surprise 60th, amazing, couldn't fault anything,staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble,the food was a hot buffet and sooooo good, the room downstairs was perfect for the private party,loved it!!

If possible I could give zero star. We ate here on a Friday evening. We arrived on time for our booking and waited inside to be seated. There was a staff member outside smoking who opened the door to ask if we had been seen to but this meant smoke drifted inside the restaurant which I found very unpleasant and must have been even more so for people dining at the time. I don't mind waiting for a table but there was no waiting area and more people came inside and it felt very cramped. The atmosphere seemed very chaotic - tables were being set up where there was no space for them, customers were being moved between tables and the waiter or probably owner were shouting at each other from across the room. We were eventually seated downstairs and the table next to us was so close, it felt like we were dining at a table for 4 with 2 strangers. After our drinks had arrived the staff asked if we could move tables to accommodate a table of 4. It felt like musical chairs. I could also smell smoke where we were sat and there was a draft so it may have been coming through the front door. Given how busy it was the wait for food wasn't too bad and when it arrived my partner and I agreed we both likely enjoy it. The staff did not apologise at the end for us having to move tables. Food was just ok but based on the overall experience it's unlikely return.

Good food - as usual - but we ordered two sets of poppadoms and only got one set of dips.

This is not indicative of their usual quality, but the roti had dirt on it like it had been dropped and the food was cold.

I ordered a delivery from Uber eats and after eating curry for years I have to say this is unbelievable! I’m writing as I eat. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Restaurant itself was lovely and layout and atmosphere was great. I came as a large group of 13 and I think most people had a fab time and delicious food (the Kerala prawn main was yummy). Some people found the dishes very hot, but this wasn't mentioned on the menu, so worth chatting about the heat with the waiter before you order. I am Coeliac and had to prompt for an allergen menu, even though I kept asking what was gluten free. They did have one and I ordered accordingly, but I started to have reactions half way through our meal, so I think the poppadoms or tofu I had to start were probably not suitable or cross contaminated. So, I would be cautious when ordering if you have allergies and make a big deal of the considerations you need. The manager has called me since to discuss what happened and we had a good chat about considerations to make and processes he needs to check, so I am grateful for how serious he is taking it and hope that this changes the experiences for those visiting with allergens in the future.

My wife had a gluten reaction having chosen gluten free items from the menu. Menu gives no indication of heat levels within each dish, the lamb sali was too hot for me, beautiful flavours but too hot. Onion bhaji were fantastic.

Terrible takeout on Xmas eve. Watery tasteless tandori prawns (3 for £18 quote a bargain). Uncooked bread and again watery tasteless dall. This for £38 !!

Best curry in bromley. Bit more expensive than some but worth it for the quality of ingredients and generous portions.

I haven't been to Shampan Bromley in a long time and it didn't disappoint. Food, service, atmosphere are spot on. You know when you are going somewhere good when it is busy on a Monday night. Keep up the good work and I'll see you soon 👍🏻

The Shampan has been a favourite since I moved to Bromley over 10 years ago! The food is delicious, the staff are brilliant and we always have a great time. Highly recommend!!

Wow take aways are not supposed to be this good! From the moment this arrived it looked like we were in for something special and we were not dissapointed. Absolutely superb.

Disappointing. Butter chicken was a speciality dish. We can make it better for ourselves. And there are ready made mixes that are better. Onion bhaji was ok. Lakha paratha was hard. Garlic rice was coconutty. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from Shampan again

Yesterday Evening we decided to have a good ole fashioned Ruby with Friends.. We normally visit the father branch of this restaurant (Westerham) Deciding to roll with a difference this time round, Guess What?! The guys at Shampan (Bromley) Didn’t Fail us 👍🏻 good food, Good Hosting & The Main Thing the food was Really pleasant too! Little on the pricey side but I think worth it for the experience. When I first came to Bromley, I hear MANY times, Pink Garlic is better than Shampan. Because of this It took me over a year to try it, I tried Pink Garlic it wasn’t for me. I had Shampans lamb Madras, it wasn’t as spicy as a typical madras which is a good and bad point, but the lamb was the most tender I’ve had in a curry before. Would definitely recommend and they have their own app. You save a bit.

Food was average. Seemed to be the same tomato sauce for every curry and the naans and rotis weren't fresh. King prawns were amazing though.

Ordered a takeaway recently and I was very pleased with the Chicken Shashlik. Beautiful flavours and quality chicken. A very nice restaurant. Thank you for a great takeaway meal and definitely order again.

We ordered a takeaway food arrived hot and reasonably quick. Tasted very fresh not oily or greasy and everything we had was very nice apart from the chicken tikka which was very dry and tasteless but apart from that was good I’d definitely go back but wouldn’t have there chicken tikka

Not a good place for vegetarians however nice and services were very great. Service tax and donation was mentioned as optional but this was not asked.

Great restaurant but the party downstairs spoiled the night because of the volume of the music. Otherwise food and service very good.
