Had a lovely meal this place is the best in Bromley!!

We love coming to Shampan, always great food and service. We had Shahim and he was very attentive. We came here for my sisters birthday and they were great to us!

Shahin was brilliant and food was wonderful will definitely be returning

The restaurant is very nice BUT curries nice food fine very expensive lamb tough and chewy.Service good apart from waiter hanging around our table and leaning over my food to remove a empty rice dish height of bad manners told him to leave it.House white wine horrible taste like sherry cheap stuff 9 pound a glass we won't return also no complementary drink at end.

Great curry restaurant in the heart of Chatterton village. Delicious food with a great selection of specialities - the baby aubergine was a highlight and love that all main courses come with perfect pilau rice. Excellent service and a good atmosphere.

Fantastic food every time. Service excellent as always and a very nice restaurant inside. Very nice experience all round. Visited with my husband on St Patrick’s day . Will be back.

Best food I have ever had, very friendly staff

We had a small party here last night, there was 30 of us (quite a few kids) so it was manic! however Shahim was amazing he had a young guy with him aswell who was just so sweet. The food was lovely and them two just made it extra special. Really kind and although we were losing the plot worrying about the kids they never made us feel under pressure about the noise and was more concerned everyone was having a good time and happy with the food. Really nice little bit downstairs that they gave us for a bit of party privacy highly highly recommend. Thank you for making our son’s 16th birthday so special he was so grateful! We will defo be back for a more peaceful dinner 👌❤️

WHAT A AWFULL EXPERIENCE I won’t get into full details but to keep it sharp and short the staff where rude, there was children running around everywhere shouting and screaming in a upmarket restaurant with no one in charge controlling them, waiting times where horrendous, 45mins to get our table (even with a booking) and a further 2 hours for main courses, prioritising takeaways over there seated customers. What an awful experience and a waste of time and money we will never be going back.

Food is excellent. Service was slow (1hr wait for food, although it was the day after valentines on a Sat night). Charged £10 per head for singer but this was removed from bill on request (table of 6 blokes!!!)

I visited with a friend to sample the Sunday buffet. The restaurant is smart and modern, the seating was comfortable and the restaurant was impeccably clean and tidy. The buffet was good, with a selection of starters including potato balls which we particularly liked, as well as chicken tikka masala, lamb piri piri, 2 vegetable dishes, rice and naan. (The rice and nasty were not very hot). Fresh fruit was a nice bonus. The only criticism I have is that the staff were not welcoming or friendly, which is not what I expect from a successful restaurant!

Shahin was very accommodating and prompt in getting and delivering our orders. His constant smile made us feel at ease also. Shampan is our go-to restaurant for celebrations and great quality Indian food with impeccable service.

Really gone down hill, this place. Unbelievably slow service (1hr 45mins until our main courses arrived), lukewarm starters and quite possibly the worst mixed grill we've ever had (dry and tasteless meat with some pieces burnt beyond recognition). Really nice waiter but the other staff are pretty cold. Ludicrous amount of people queuing for takeaways and hordes of delivery drivers is the root cause of the slow service and mediocre food yet the diners pay top dollar for a very disappointing experience. Used to be great but sadly we won't be returning. The Shampan needs to decide whether it's a takeaway or a high-end restaurant.

Chicken Shashlik was rather tasteless and the Sag aloo was overpowered by garlic. First time I have used for a delivery as it was a special occasion (birthday). Not overly impressed unfortunately

Take away order missing items Everything tasted the same Bombay aloo was hard Staff unhelpful when I called up to enquire about missing items. First time Ive tried this restaurant and I won’t be trying again would give no stars if I could.

we called the restaurant to ask about the delay, the order was with them waiting to be picked up at about 8,50pm. the order arrived at 9.30 pm. it wasn't cold, just very late .

Awful food. Lots of food colouring - Prawn Poori was bright yellow on under cooked bread, nan bread had some aluminous green stuff on it. Lamb chops were overcooked, weird colour with no meat on them. We will never order from here again.

After submitting the order the address was wrong, although I'm a registered customer with a correct address in my profile. Chicken was overcooked, too dry.

I first ordered from here on Uber, but the driver never delivered. So, we had to order directly and go to collect. The order was seamless, and the wait time was good. Great atmosphere. Would like to try eating in at some point.

First time in here and I can’t complain about anything. The food was perfectly done as we wished and our waiter Shahin was very kind to us the whole time. Next time I‘m around this town I‘m going to eat here again!

Went for Sunday buffet and disappointed with the food. Food was very bland. No spice or flavour in chicken gravies, lamb was okay. Have been to better Indian buffets with more choice of food and better atmosphere.. I hope the dishes are better for non buffet food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years with friends and family. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly. I have also had the pleasure of arranging family events and parties with this restaurant as they have plenty of space downstairs. I highly recommend this restaurant for all types of occasions. You won’t find a better restaurant than Shampaan. Absolutely fantastic. 👍🏽🍛😉

Bit more expensive than your average takeaway but I figured the quality would be better. Definitely better quality meat used but I found the flavour to be (somewhat surprisingly) pretty bland and flavourless. Had a jalfrezi and it was pretty disappointing.

Shahin and Shaheed were excellent servers and the food was delicious. Lamb leg so tender

Delicious food served by a friendly staff (we were led by Shahin). My son enjoyed an excellent butter chicken and my mother some delicious tofu. I had the seared haddock, which could quite easily have been the perfect dish. A point off for some very old, dry fish at the centre of an otherwise perfectly balanced plate. We’ll be back for sure - The Shampan has been a bit of a tradition since my own childhood, and has maintained its place in the area as a restaurant worth taking the time to visit.

Have been going to this Restaurant for forty-three years. My dad Irish johnny was a regular at this restaurant. Open up till death 3 years ago. Last night had a Takeaway Chicken tikka was dry tastless, The worst chicken curry I have ever tastled in my life, Bomb bay potatoes were hard. so sorry to write Disappointed.😞

Overall great but one glaring issue. I want to start off by outlining that the food was flavoursome and well presented. The service was prompt and very friendly. However, there were an issue with transparency which put a damper on the evening. The restaurant offers ice cream as an desert priced at 5.95. I asked the waiter how many scoops would he included in that portion and he said 3. I then asked if he could do a single scoop and he said he could but then he ended up charging me for the three scoops. When I tried to ask him about the pricing before settling the bill he said he couldn't alter the price. In the future, it would be nice to know that beforehand so I can get three scoops of ice cream instead of paying 5.95 for 1 scoop.

Surprise 60th, amazing, couldn't fault anything,staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble,the food was a hot buffet and sooooo good, the room downstairs was perfect for the private party,loved it!!

If possible I could give zero star. We ate here on a Friday evening. We arrived on time for our booking and waited inside to be seated. There was a staff member outside smoking who opened the door to ask if we had been seen to but this meant smoke drifted inside the restaurant which I found very unpleasant and must have been even more so for people dining at the time. I don't mind waiting for a table but there was no waiting area and more people came inside and it felt very cramped. The atmosphere seemed very chaotic - tables were being set up where there was no space for them, customers were being moved between tables and the waiter or probably owner were shouting at each other from across the room. We were eventually seated downstairs and the table next to us was so close, it felt like we were dining at a table for 4 with 2 strangers. After our drinks had arrived the staff asked if we could move tables to accommodate a table of 4. It felt like musical chairs. I could also smell smoke where we were sat and there was a draft so it may have been coming through the front door. Given how busy it was the wait for food wasn't too bad and when it arrived my partner and I agreed we both likely enjoy it. The staff did not apologise at the end for us having to move tables. Food was just ok but based on the overall experience it's unlikely return.

Good food - as usual - but we ordered two sets of poppadoms and only got one set of dips.

This is not indicative of their usual quality, but the roti had dirt on it like it had been dropped and the food was cold.

I ordered a delivery from Uber eats and after eating curry for years I have to say this is unbelievable! I’m writing as I eat. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Restaurant itself was lovely and layout and atmosphere was great. I came as a large group of 13 and I think most people had a fab time and delicious food (the Kerala prawn main was yummy). Some people found the dishes very hot, but this wasn't mentioned on the menu, so worth chatting about the heat with the waiter before you order. I am Coeliac and had to prompt for an allergen menu, even though I kept asking what was gluten free. They did have one and I ordered accordingly, but I started to have reactions half way through our meal, so I think the poppadoms or tofu I had to start were probably not suitable or cross contaminated. So, I would be cautious when ordering if you have allergies and make a big deal of the considerations you need. The manager has called me since to discuss what happened and we had a good chat about considerations to make and processes he needs to check, so I am grateful for how serious he is taking it and hope that this changes the experiences for those visiting with allergens in the future.

My wife had a gluten reaction having chosen gluten free items from the menu. Menu gives no indication of heat levels within each dish, the lamb sali was too hot for me, beautiful flavours but too hot. Onion bhaji were fantastic.

Terrible takeout on Xmas eve. Watery tasteless tandori prawns (3 for £18 quote a bargain). Uncooked bread and again watery tasteless dall. This for £38 !!

Best curry in bromley. Bit more expensive than some but worth it for the quality of ingredients and generous portions.

I haven't been to Shampan Bromley in a long time and it didn't disappoint. Food, service, atmosphere are spot on. You know when you are going somewhere good when it is busy on a Monday night. Keep up the good work and I'll see you soon 👍🏻

The Shampan has been a favourite since I moved to Bromley over 10 years ago! The food is delicious, the staff are brilliant and we always have a great time. Highly recommend!!
