Over 90 minute wait on deliveroo and barely any cheese on the pizzas that arrived.

Love everything about Sapore Vero in Beckenham.

Ordered 3 pizzas, a tiramisu and a drink and not even half got delivered and when I called up to check what happened as the driver told me that is the only thing he got was 2 pizzas and a manager handled to him. They refused to see what happened or where was the problem saying they’re closed now and no manager in charge???? What restaurant has not a manager in charge? Never ordering again. Both pizzas delivered had the cheese not even melted. Guess that’s a classic last minute order. £50 gone

Best food in Beckenham by a mile and always the most friendly, attentive service

We came here for dinner to try authentic Italian cuisine and were impressed by the food, service and atmosphere. The food was served fairly speedily and was delicious. We tried the Melanzane Parmigiana for starters along with the Focaccia with Mozzarella and were completely blown away with the melt in the mouth experience and cheese pull of the Melanzane. It was simply delicious. The focaccia was also delicious, freshly made and had a nice aftertaste too. We also enjoyed the mushroom risotto and veg ravioli with burrata but the standout dish was the Melanzane. It’s a hidden gem, and in my opinion richer and more authentic than the equivalent dish at Pizza Express! The service was friendly and welcoming. There were no hesitations in replacing the focaccia with the focaccia with mozzarella when they mistook the order and the ambience was also very intimate which made us feel welcome. We tried the pasta dishes only but were still satisfied and enjoyed the meal without trying the pizzas. The pistachio gelato Ice Cream was also delicious, and authentic Italian food. Ambience was very romantic, welcoming and busy at the time for a dinner date, and overall felt welcoming. Overall, highly recommended for an authentic Italian dining experience that’s affordable and good value for money.

Came without a booking on a Saturday night, seated within 2 minutes. Food was divine! (Tiramisu ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️) Inexpensive, cute interior and service was friendly but not overbearing. Will be back!

Amazing Pizza. They have recently increased the size by expanding into next door. I personally prefer the original style of the smaller restaurant, but food is just the same.

Dear Sapore Vero Beckenham, It is Christmas Eve and I understand you are busy but honestly no need to be rude on the phone. We are your long time customers and I have never been spoken rudely before. I wasn’t able to order online on your website (which wasn’t an issue in the past) and when I called to ask for Norcina pizza I was told you don’t make it anymore (why do you have it on your menu then?), then when I asked to recommend something with sausage I was told to know what I want and to call later arrogantly. Customers should be treated with a little bit more respect. Disappointing Elena

I have ordered a pizza and one cannoli and after 1 hour waiting time for the delivery. Look what I got. More than £31 charges for this. Horrible and never again!

Top quality pizza and a lovely friendly un-rushed atmosphere.

We are here from Berlin and have had an exhausting journey. We never thought it would be so delicious. The pizza was fresh and homemade right down to the sauce. I can only recommend it! Mega mega delicious.

Honestly Imo the best Italian in Beckenham . Generous portions and the food was served hot and quickly considering how busy they were which tells you all about the place on a Wednesday evening. Good varied choice on the menu and brilliant service from Andrea and Lara Attentive but not overbearing and they coped easily With our large table Will become a regular here and will return this weekend

Great food, was recommended by an Italian tennis partner of mine, and he told me it is the most authentic Neapolitan style pizza in South London. Not disappointed, went for an early lunch around 12.00pm so there was plenty of space and quick service. Recommend the pizza with aubergines.

Had dinner with friends in a full restaurant. The pizzas and pasta were horrible. Simply lacked flavour - totally bland food. No one enjoyed the food. That said, the service was attentive and professional. For the food provided the bill was high West End prices. Avoid. There are better pizzeria around.

Chef doesn't appear to want to amend pizza ingredients to suit requests. Asked for a pizza with less cheese and between the chef and the waitress they couldn't advise an option for a diner who wanted less cheese? Pretty poor.

Called to ask if any of the meats are halal. Lady on phone first said that the minced beef on pasta is halal and no meats on pizza. She sounded hesitant so asked her if the chicken is halal she said yea it’s not pork so it’s halal! Just because it’s not pork doesnt mean it’s halal. Asked if they had a halal certificate she said no but chicken and beef is halal. Blatant lying now.

After several takeaway pizzas, we finally ventured into Sapore Vero to eat-in last year and the great food and service has kept us going back. Just last Friday lunchtime, we took friends with us, we both had kids and we didn’t have a reservation and but they accommodated us and we enjoyed wonderful pastas (I had the lasagne 👌) and pizzas and service was super friendly, as usual. Highly recommend Sapore.

We ordered drinks, main and deserts and ask for the menu to order coffee, cocktails and take away. When we asked for the menu the waitress told us that we only had 10 minutes because she needed the table. That's not how you treat customers! We were there only for an hour and it was a weekday. She kept talking back really rudely and made us feel very uncomfortable. We just wanted to leave, but we will not recommend this place to anyone for as long as Pauline the young waitress with tattoo is working there!

Usually really really good and didn’t want to leave a bad review but don’t order via Uber eats - arrived absolutely freezing and when we called the restaurant they told me “impossible. It can’t be cold” and that was that. Pretty poor attitude. Probably wouldn’t order again now.

We had some amazing home made ravioli at Sapore Vero Beckenham last week. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The friendliest service, a cosy and intimate dining room and THE BEST pizzas. The toppings are delicious and the dough is sensational. Great menu, lovely drinks and fun atmosphere - one of the very best places to eat in Beckenham!

Celebrated my birthday this evening, honestly amazing atmosphere here. The team ensured me and my guest had a lovey time here plus they gifted me and birthday card which took me by surprise and thought. Amazing experience would definitely recommend coming!!!!

Very nice restaurant, pizza is delicious. Walked in on a Saturday and got seated immediately, service was quick and smooth. Staff is friendly and seems happy at work, really nice to see. Food was excellent and a pizza is under £15 on average which I think is very good value. Nicest thing was that they didn't add service charge to the bill - it was under £50, maybe for this, either way we were very happy with that. I also saw that they gave complementary limoncello to some tables. Don't see that kind of generosity much in London! Would highly recommend this restaurant 😊

Came here for tea, the staff were friendly enough, felt like they would be more attentive with customers that had a bit more “class”. They were quick to take our order though and bring drinks over. The food was okay had the spagbol and was just about hot and was quite bland. Another meal seemed like it just come out the microwave. And the price you pay would expect a garlic bread 😂.

We were staying at Crystal Palace caravan club site for my wife’s birthday and booked for dinner here. We went with our 3 children. We had garlic focaccia, mussels and aubergine parmigiana (my wife is vegetarian) to start which was amazing! Then a pasta dish for myself and 3 pizzas for the rest of the family, all the food and drink was fantastic. The service from the staff was faultless! The man who served our table had the restaurant singing happy birthday to my wife which was magical!!! Thank you for making it such a special night. Great food, service and atmosphere

We were looking forward to our Italian. But unfortunately waited for food. But the lasagne was cold when served. Reheated and very chewy. The waiter didn’t ask how was the food or anything else we can get for you. Ate half the lasagne. Very disappointed and won’t be back. No engagement from staff on food and food very average.

Awful soggy cold pizzas 🍕 relieved totally inedible. When we tried to complain and get a refund the restaurant passed all responsibility to the courier. Awful experience. I would avoid like the plague.

If you should look for an Italian restaurant in London to eat at, I recommend you definitely go to "Sapore Vero", the food is excellent (the tiramisu is spectacular!!), super friendly staff and a very welcoming environment. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. 😊

We went to Sapore Vero at Beckenham to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and we had such a lovely evening! Pizza and the aubergine with the parmigiana were delicious! The pasta and dessert were not that great but we will definitely go back and order for home delivery! Service was also excellent! They also organised a mini surprise for my hubby who really enjoyed it! Thank you guys, you are great!

Sapore Vero is the kind of neighbourhood pizza place that everywhere needs… Terrific dough, fresh, tasty toppings and a decent tiramisu. Good atmosphere and always busy - Beckenham’s little slice of Italian heaven!

Normally service, good and atmosphere are great here but it wasn't happening tonight (6th July). 70 minutes after ordering (after some nice starters), when the other people at my table had been served, I was asked what I had ordered. I know the pizzas don't take long to make and they offered it for free, but it totally ruined the meal for me. Really disappointing.

Excellent service. Always welcoming. Have been about 5 times and they are always so nice. The pizza is delicious. Well worth a visit and recommend.

We ordered a collection last week which the restaurant got wrong for one of the pizzas (we realised when we got home). We called and they admitted their mistake, but would not honour my request for a refund for the incorrect item or offer us a credit in the future. Instead they suggested we pick up a new pizza after their mistake which would result in another 30 minute round trip, which would cause the other food to be cold. We refused this and said they would call back the week after but never did.

Always yum! 5 star parmigiana and tried the GF dough for the first time . Just as nice the next morning !

Best pizza place ever more then 5 stars

Ordered delivery twice and then visited the place in person. I’d say, this restaurant is mostly amazing, food is quite good, the place itself looks great. They need to fix the door though, sitting there I noticed people were struggling to get in. Service was pleasant and quick, so I didn’t have to wait much. Although few positions are grossly over salted (like Prosciutto & mushrooms pizza and tuna salad), I’d rate overall food quality as good, as they have some fantastic dishes, like black truffle ravioli and pizza Mediterranea. Will definitely keep ordering from them to try more of their menu.

The food and service at this restaurant are amazing. Attentive and friendly staff, amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended this to anyone looking to be looked after with good service and quality food. I recommend the Wild Boar Ravioli and any pizza as the dough delicious.

This is one of the best pizzas I've had in the UK for a long time. Incredible base, toppings fresh and good quality, just perfect. Staff all brill, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Really enjoyable evening and will be returning!

Wow. If you're unhappy with your food, tell the waiter.. If you're happy, tell the world. Took myself out for dinner tonight and decided to follow through on a promise to try Sapore Vero in Beckenham. Absolutely blown away by the quality of everything here - the food, the service, the price and the ambience. The pizza's looked incredible but I landed on the grilled veg starter (perfectly oiled and seasoned) and the most delicious black truffle ravioli ever. Naturally had to go for a dessert and couldn't decide. So I chose two and brought one home. The picture is of the Cannolo Siciliano which was to die for. Very much looking forward to the homemade tiramisu with my morning and afternoon coffee tomorrow. Deffo going to bed happy tonight 😋

I went to Sapore Vero for the first time last night and loved it. The food was delicious, we got a mix of different pasta dishes and pizza - all cooked perfectly. The staff were lovely. I will definitely be back!

The best restaurant on the high street, not only are the pizzas amazing the specials are also full of TLC. A restaurant that cares about there produce and everything is always fresh and serves with a smile. Definitely give this place a try

Waited too much for a salad, and even more for my main. Taste of my pasta no convincing although it seems like the pizza is very popular. Will give a try some day, just because the waitress service was superb, however I wouldn't recommend that place.

We used to go all the time. We will never go again. It was my wife's birthday and we decided to go to our favourite local Italian. The food was fantastic as usual, other than the pizza sauce, which was a bit saltier than usual... So we finish the food and the manger collects the plates. He notices my wife didn't finish her pizza and asks what was wrong. She explains the sauce was a bit salty but the rest of the food was fine, and asked if they changed the sauce and if we could get our bill. The manager gives us the foulest look, picks up the plates, and instructs the waitress to delay giving us the bill. The manager then walks around the restaurant giving other people their bill after request, and blatantly ignoring us. For 10 minutes we sat there waiting, until the waitress comes with the bill, red-faced with embarrassment. We pay and just leave. The food is mostly amazing. I can't say the same about the manager/owner. I can see by his responses in other reviews, this is just his general attitude.
