Sham Shisha Lounge in Nottingham

I went from Derby to Nottingham to get a tasty shawarma today. However, when I got home to eat it, I found that it was just burnt shawarma—maybe something they wanted to get rid of. I had placed my order and waited for it in my car, so maybe the staff thought I wouldn't notice. Not gonna back again

I got a takeaway chicken wrap as I was staying at a hotel 2 minutes walk up the road. I asked for salad and the genial fella behind the counter assured me they'd throw in plenty. When I got back to my room and bit into the wrap it was cold and instead of salad there were chips. It was late so I couldn't be bothered to go back to complain. I simply threw the cold, tasteless, chip and chicken wrap in the bin.

Ziko the best service guy in the shop and he’s a very good seller , I love him a lot I think he should be the manager I really rate his respect for people , everytime I come to this place I always see ziko working the best out of all the staff he’s always seems to be doing something while everyone Else is sat down

This is place is great if your just going to enjoy the Shisha. Because watching the Champions League and getting food seems like a task. The seating is very limited to try book early. Ask for sauce and extra anything on your shawarma. It is nice the man at the front is very welcoming and attentive to needs.

if you want food poisoning, this is your place! horrible food, chicken was raw, beef shawarma tasted as if it was left outside for 3 days and the halloumi fries were fried in such old oil the colour has changed to a dark mucky colour. AVOID AVOID AVOID. have took it up with health standards and the app i ordered through.

Sham was the first Arabic restaurant I had tried in Nottingham it’s really good and they have great vibes! Thanks for Zeko his really good man and kind to customers. Sham is a very excellent restaurant and features many dishes. The most important thing is that it is very clean and the restaurant staff is wonderful, especially the name Zico.

The worst lamb shawarma I've eaten in a while. Only a quarter of the wrap had actual meat. It was stale. And the rest of the wrap was old vegetables and onion. Very disappointing experience 😕

I spent some time with my friends. Ordered lot of food, the food had strange smell and we asked if it’s fresh. They claimed it is. 4 out of 5 people who were with me got food poison.

Do NOT go here to watch football. I went here to watch a 5:30pm kick off Arsenal vs Aston Villa. They changed the channel 20 mins before the end of the match to an Arabic football match. When I asked them to move it back they said “sorry other customer”. Even though I paid for shisha and dinner and was watching the game since the first minute which they knew about. Missed an important goal and ruined the reason I went there as they advertise they show football (premier league)

The food is very delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly. The boss, Leo, is very kind and helpful. They bring the dishes out quickly, so you don't have to wait long. I highly recommend visiting here if you want to taste some delicious food! 🥰😘❤️

This is by all means one the best places in town serves various middles eastern, mediterranean and recently Indian dishes. I have been with my family quite a few times and there is always very warm welcoming attitude and delicious food and apptizers. Tge food is reasonably priced and the service is top quality. Highly recommend.

Bad service and attitude. The owner invented a rule of a minimum charge that was not previously announced nor applied to everyone. Took 50 minutes for the order to arrive, and when you go to them to ask for an update about the order, they respond with an attitude as if they're paying you, not the opposite. The food was good when it arrived, but I'd 100% avoid this place.

I had Lamb Shwarma wrap and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best kebab I've had in my life. The meat was high quality, tasting like a lamb steak rather than a kebab. The salad was tremendous, you could taste all the individual flavours and textures and it was seasoned very well. The wrap itself was toasted so it was crispy on the top and bottom but soft on the sides, beautiful! The service was amazing too, the server was extremely helpful and friendly. This was on a Monday night at 11pm, which makes it all the more impressive. The atmosphere was very nice, the music was not too loud and was a light genre which made it pleasant to eat in. I will recommend this place to anyone I know who visits Nottingham.

Food was inedible, dry, cold and items missing . I was send a soggy salad without any of the items advertised or orderer eg chicken and avocado. the ky thing which arrived was soggy lettuce.! The warp was stale and resembled filo pastry and broken onto pieces when touched. I would not order from here again

Ordered on line, terrible food which arrived late, was cold, items missing and some inedible. Salad ordered consisted of soggy lettuce, chicken and avocado missing and was charge almost £7. The chicken sharma resembled filo pastry and flaked to the touch. Chicken dried and appeared days old . Food was stone cold . Would not order again .

We were in the area for a Michael McIntyre show, staying at a hotel. We didn't know the area or where to eat and were wandering a bit lost when we saw Sham. It looked a bit like a kebab shop so we decided to give it a try as we were running out of time to get something to eat before the show. What a hidden gem! We couldn't believe it when we were led into the back area, with comfy seats and heaters as it was partially outside (presumably so smoking shisha is OK as not strictly inside). My friend didn't even realise we were outside when I told her the next day, it really doesn't feel like it at all. Our food was absolutely amazing, so tasty and presented beautifully. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Got overcharged and didn’t give money back when questioned

Owner/manager got a stinking attitude, apparently 2 people have to buy 2 sheesha's even if ur not a smoker, there were other tables inside 5/6 people but didnt have 3 shishas between them, so we were surprised when we were called to the counter by waiter to speak to manager, he wasent happy with the amount of food we brought and he wanted us to buy more, we refused to buy more food and sheesha's and we asked for refund. We didnt touch our food or shisha it was on the table for 30 seconds without eating or smoking and all we got was dirty stinking attitude and NO REFUND was given. Never ever going there again!!

This is the spot for Shwarma and shisha in Nottingham. Abraham and the team guarantee a warm and friendly welcome. Open till late and my go to place after a night at the panthers with the Motorpoint arena only a stones throw away!

To whom it may concern I visited with a few of my friends. We paid for the sheesha we liked. Once at the table, we was called back to the counter to be notified that it is 1 sheesha between 2. If we was notified this at the counter initially then there were no issues. We don’t mind paying for an extra sheesha but in the manner in which the situation was handled infront of other customers was truely disgusting. We ordered some food too. Due to the disrespect, we requested a full refund at which point the sheesha and food were not made. The crooked skinny curley haired thing behind the counter refused the refund, claiming the it costs him money to make the things. With this appauling attitude for a returning customer is not correct. Rather then having returning business, the business has lost customers and will continue to lose with the disgusting attitude. This was the 4th time i have dealt with this thing behind the counter. There were errors made and over charges before but insulting and disrespecting customers infront of other customers is out of order. This thing needs training in how to handle customers and how to respect people at the work place, simple ethics. This would have been ok in 1939 but we are in 2024. This is not a dictatorship, its a customer based business. This air baloon sized ego will certainly be reduced in size when the council trading standards are involved. I hope this review gives an insight of how customers are dealt with. I await managements reply as we have not recieved a refund yet. Kind regards

Manager with curly hair on counter decided to create a new policy of 1 shisha between 2 randomly, bare in mind weve been here before never said anything weve got this policy. We paid for a shisha and some fries. Shisha and food were put on the table and within 20 seconds a waiter told us the manager wanted to speak to us. Bare in mind we haven’t touched the food or shisha the manager starts huffing and puffing. Terrible attitude. Would not give a refund despite being challenged on not telling us about the policy when he was charging us the money. Barr in mind there are tables inside who didnt have 1 shisha between 2, the table to our right was about 6 people but did not have 3 shishas!. Refused outright to give a refund claiming the shisha flavour and food cost him money. If he used his brain and the same energy to make a sign to say i between 2 rather then tell us about the costs involved in operating a business he wouldn’t have had any arguments. Never again. Would urge everyone to avoid this place. I think he is borderline racist thats what im going to put it down to aside from not understanding how to explain your policies and instead huff and puff. Wearing a fitted white shirt does not make u anything special when you cant string a sentence.

food was very underwhelming and part of the order was missed even though I was still charged for it. the halloumi was too fried and dry, the spinach samosa was too oily and bland, and the sujuk was primarily minced meat with spices instead of true sujuk. the tabbouleh and mtabal were ok. the requested fries were missing from the order.

It's imperative for shisha lounge cashiers to maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards customers. Ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and addressing customer needs graciously fosters a positive and lasting impression.

We won't be returning, and I advise others not to go there if they value their experience. It's unfortunate, but the staff's (cashier) behaviour has left a lasting negative impression, and we believe there are better places to choose from.

Everytime I come to this shop, the staff are always so kind and helpful when making my options and very reasonably price with being a student! The food is quickly prepared and is always hot. All my family come here and we are always made to feel comfortable and welcomed.
