Grill Town in Nottingham

The other day I sent my partner here to get a biscoff milkshake and wings for me. The milkshake was spectacular in comparison to its local competitors, it was packed with flavour and super generous in portion. It went down a treat. In terms of the wings, we had the sriracha ones which tasted delicious and I could have sworn there was an extra one in there. We were so happy with our order from here that we feel tempted to come back and try some other treats!

Just had 2 large doner kebabs delivered with chips & chicken nuggets.for nearly £22 this as got to be the worst kebabs we have ever had.don't think there was even enough for a child & I think they forgot to put the meat on.shocking

I never write a review however This so called take out is a health warning. The food was vile. Re cooked and over cooked meat.. extremely salty - to hide the fact is wasn’t fresh. Salad - non existent and dry Chips were re fried from the evening before clearly and sauce.. tiny two pots of runny goo. Naan bread? It was frozen rubbish not fresh and I wouldn’t feed my dogs this food Please avoid like the plague as you will get sick. I called them to get our money back and they flat out refused. Please do not go here

I always get the shiesh kebab with jus onions n always pay abit more than actually price coz my meal is ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anybody who's got agood palate if u get my meaning. Godblessin grill town

This restaurant is a mistake. It's strange that it still functions. The customer service is terrible!! Beware!!! they cheat when you paying for your order. Always ask for a receipt! The food is good, but there are often mistakes in the order, usually something is missing.

1st time trying food here and it's so good. I'm pregnant and has asked to ensure the burger was cooked all the way through and the staff were so attentive and checked I was happy before boxing up. Will definitely be returning!!!

Ordered for 7.55 arrived cold at 6.30. What's the point of instructions if you don't follow them. Piss takers!!!

I placed an order for a pizza for the children, garlic bread, and a full and half chicken for the adults at 7.20pm, the food arrived at 8.40pm when I received the order I noticed that the chickens didn't come, I spoke to the Driver he apologised and told me to call the shop, I called the shop to say what happened, the man who answered said he was sorry and that he would send me the chickens as soon as possible. I waited and waited and had to call again about at 9.15pm, a woman answered and said that they had to make other chickens and it was very busy ,and blamed the Driver for the error I said that what was happening was not acceptable and this woman started laughing at what I said and said that they would send 2 chickens because of the mistake and hung up on me. What a lack of respect for customers. I continued to wait and at around 9.45pm I received a call from the shop, a man asking if I still wanted the order, I said that I think this is a joke and I replied that we are 3 adults who are very hungry and have been waiting for the food for more than 2 hours. hours and he replied that the Driver was going to leave to make the delivery. I waited and finally the food arrived at 10.30pm exactly 3 hours after ordering and instead of an extra half chicken as this woman said, a coca cola was coming in compensation. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer, if this shop is unable to deliver food,don't do it because treating customers like this is terrible. I will never order from this place again and if you read the review please don't order from there.

The staff here were very friendly. However there quite cheeky when it comes to the salad they don't give much at all even sauce its quite dry I don't understand why they give so little. However the taste of the food was amazing enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Plz do not bother with this takeaway, unhygienic, staff very rude especially owner ali, ordered a pizza & they missed topping & forgot to cut pizza slices sent it back & only for them to put pineapple on the same pizza and then found a hair in the food, dont waste your time & money here, the owner owns a similar grill town on Mansfield Road avoid at all cost Update 11/07/23, new owners, alot better customer service, food was perfect this time, would recommend Sneinton grill town

I have had food from this shop on three occasions, and so far there have been no issues.

I had peri peri chicken, rice and salad. I chose medium and it was just right. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely visit again!

I always have a Grill Town when I want a treat. Been using them for years. They even sent me a free one on my birthday a couple of years ago. Lovely food and great staff.

I ordered a pizza and a chicken tikka and donner grill box with chips and this food was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! The food was absolutely cold when it arrived and it took 1hour to come. My son had also found a little hair in the pizza so when I phoned to complain about the hair in the pizza and how cold the food was the man who spoke to me told me NOTHING could be done about this! I received bad customer service the man told me the food must’ve been cold as today is the first day of Ramadan but that’s not my problem then he’s told me the person who made my pizza didn’t deliberately put a hair in it. When I told him I won’t use his take away again and I will take this further he told me don’t order here again and do not phone us. He then said I am about to put the phone down. I paid over the phone by card but when food was delivered the delivery driver asked us to pay when we told him we already paid of it. The customer service and food is horrific!! I will be taking this further to trading standard and food hygiene! Will never order from here again!!! Waste of money! And all food has gone into the bin! This isn’t even worth a 1 star!!

Ordered food for my family earlier, the wait time is ridiculous I was told 40 mins wait , 2 hrs later my order came minus the chips. I ordered 2 burger meals and ONLY received 2 burger’s and 2 small ice creams with 2 drinks. MINUS chips… This place isn’t cheap and I spent approx £20. When I called to ask this to be rectified the server kept calling me “G” how rude! “Server you are rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and clearly not doing your server job very well” I wouldn’t waste your time ordering food from this place. If your hungry the wait times are ridiculous the server is are rude!

Food came like this!!! And when I rang up to tell them they apparently couldn’t do anything about it, and the man I was speaking to was so rude and laughed when I told him I was pregnant and had no food because of this and he laughed and said I don’t care! Would never order from here again

Absolute rubbish food and service! Ordered a chicken panini - got home no sauce and no salad! Then didn't give me a drink with my meal, and asked for extra 50p just to change for diet coke!! Will complain to HO .

Placed an order using their site and nothing turned up even after an hour. Tried again after 3 years July 2021, but its stupid of me to believe they have changed. Ordered and was informed it will take 40 mins. Phoned after 45 min and was told it will take another 10 mins. Had to wait another 30 mins to eat barely warm pizza. Not taking risk again.

Rang at 1300 to have pizza and food delivered at 1630 it's 1700 and still no food. Specifically told the man on the phone if you can't deliver on time please don't take my order. Absolutely ridiculous. Why lie if you can't doit on time just say I'd have ordered somewhere else.

We order from grill town quite a bit but recently delivery times are way over the dedicated times meaning your not really hungry by the time it arrives! Won't bother again unfortunately which is a shame as the food is usually great. Lost custom here I'm afraid

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! My food arrived 20 minutes late, and the package looked light for what I ordered. I asked the delivery driver if everything was there and he just rudely said "I don't know, I'm just the driver" and drove off. It turned out that half of one of the meals I ordered was missing and when I rang them to complain about this they said that my house is too far and they woudnt send me the rest of the food that I paid for (I checked and their shop is only 2.2 miles away from my house), and will send extra next time, which I doubt as this is the second time I've had a problem with this restaurant as they got my order wrong before and refused to fix it, showing how poor their customer service is. I would not recommend ordering from here.

I walked in the shop Got a half a pounder burger meal from here i clearly told the young lad no sauce and all salad I get 3 pieces of onion and some horrible sauce I had to chuck the burger it didn't even taste like a beef burger I had the fries and even they were horrible poor customer service as I told him were is the salad poor quality of food I won't be back pronto.

It was over a year ago when I posted a review of my unpleasant experience of the sneinton branch's service. I'm sure their management changed soon after but only recently decided to try ordering from them again, as I did like their food. Must say, I'm very satisfied with customer & delivery service so far. Sometimes the orders are delivered within half hour & not 45 mins as stated.

Delivery never showed up. Uber driver kept hanging up. Called the restuarant to which I was rudely told it is not their responsibility. I will not be ordering from again.

Been working in and around Notts for 6 months and tried a few fast food places. This place does it fresh to order - quickly - before your eyes. There is a big choice. Great staff. They have seats and when the 'rona goes, I'll be back in for sure. Recommended.

Great pizza place at a fairly reasonable price. Manager is lovely and tries to accomodate everyone's tastes and preferences, if only you ask.

I ordered two large Donna kebabs through Ubereats app. When I received the food, the quantity size was VERY SMALL and not large at all- it was mainly salad and hard cold naan with very little amount of donna. Also, the salad did not look appetising at all, the size of the onions were huge and I do not understand why sweet corn was added to the donna kebab? Due to this, I contacted Grill town and the man who spoke to me was not professional and was in fact rushing to get off the phone to me. When I explained the quantity of the food is ridiculous considering I ordered a large on the app and phoned in previously about this, he said they don’t do large sizes!? I spent £24 in total on two Donna kebabs and a box of chips which I find is a waste of money. Not happy with the the food and customer service and will definitely not order from here again.

This place is appalling bad 2 times I have ordered from here both times the time delivered is a lot lot longer than the time stated to arrive. The 2nd time they phone to say sorry it’s late they got stopped by the police - and they were on their way- a long time later they finally turn up - yet bring me this stone cold pizza and food for my partner stone cold. - the first time we had a bad experience with you I put it down to bad luck - but twice in a row no that’s it. I’ve had enough - you will never get another order from me - your service is woeful and your delivery times atrocious - anybody thinking of using these ..... don’t

Occasionly visit this place THERE IS NO FOOD SAFETY AND Food safety HYGIENE TRAINING. STAFF HANDLE CASH WITH THE SAME HAND AND PREPARE FOOD WITH THE SAME HAND. THEY DO NOT WEAR CAPS TO COVER THIER HAIR. THEY WASH HANDS AND ARMS IN THE SAME SINKS THEY USE TO PREPARE FOOD. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THERE ARE MANY SHOPS IN THE AREA WHO ARE BETTER AND HAVE FOOD SAFETY

After ordering I’ve cream as a treat for the family as we’re in self-isolation, Just Eat quoted a delivery time of 50 minutes. Over 1hr45 minutes later the food hasn’t arrived so I Googled the number and called the restaurant. The person who answered the call struggled to understand me and was abrupt in telling me that the driver had left 5 minutes ago. Ten minutes later I attempted to call the restaurant as it was by then only a couple of minutes from closing. The call was unanswered and the Just Eat app updated to show the order as having been delivered. Making it even worse the shop is less than a 5 minute drive from my house. Thanks guys - I’ll get on with telling my 8 year old that he’s not getting Ice-Cream after all.

A work colleague recommended you to me last week and I couldn't wait to try I went into the shop and was welcomed straight away The Order was taken and food was cooked quickly I was as impressed as my colleague was and have now passed my reccomendation onto my family members who have also ordered in the last week

Left me throwing up and on the toilet for two days, unable to go to work. Couldn’t even drink water without throwing up. The worst food poisoning I have ever had, left a review and tried to call the place but no reply. Inconsiderate, unprofessional, and no sense of health and safety under the food regulations act. Appalling.

I’ve visited grill town quite a few times haven’t enjoyed their customer service but wasn’t an issue as the food have previously tasted delicious and looked really nice!! I had a very long day and decided to get a quick bite for me and my brother I didn’t check the food there as I was taking it away when I got home to eat it the picture should show you exactly what I saw! Now please explain why would I eat a burnt bun? I clearly didn’t request it. The fries and the drink was the only thing decent out of this meal.. to say this meal is nearly £6/7.

We had the kebab wraps for £1.50. Very tasty. All the pleasure of a kebab with a third of the calories.

They absolutely mugged me on salad. Literally 2 pieces of tomato, cucumber, and a PINCH of lettuce. What even? It's all mostly water dude, give me a break!

Love the food here, it's really flavor some, and generous portions too. An average price tag, the chef's can sometimes slack, as in undercook the food when busy and rushing, so best to keep an eye on things.. otherwise the food is of good quality and fresh.

Very bad service. How many times I order always get wrong food always late and food is cold. People who work there very rood and arogant. Somwan I know worked there and told me how pieces of chicken fall on the floor but the grill town staff picked up and put in a box for people to be delivered its soo discussing I dnt trust them and wnt recommend eating from there.

I tried it first time bought one burger and pizza. Pizza was outstanding really amazing and mouthwatering but lamb burger wasn't perfect hardly manage to eat half of it

Late at night, just got back from Manchester airport and my mate wanted food, I'm eating a low carb / keto diet so this wasn't an option for me and I'd have had to wait for him to eat so I could go home and then cook. Instead we thought we'd ask if they could deviate from the menu slightly, and whilst it is a simple thing to do, many take aways won't! They were more than happy to give exactly what I wanted so very happy with the service there.

Ordered a meal for the family was delivered on time but the yogurt in the mint sauce was off and curdled which ruined my sizzler, I called up to be told it was ‘100 million percent fresh’ and the man hung up on me. The wings were burnt on the outside and pink on the inside. This place used to do brilliant food every time, I don’t know if management has changed or employees but the food quality standards have definately dropped and we will now be looking for another regular for our takeaways. Really disappointed.

Really slow, cold food and missed toppings on Pizza. Was told it would take 20mins for Pizza, actually was 35mins! Instructions were for Vegetarian Hot with green chillies, and when I got home?...no green chillies at all, and it tasted bland, even when we sprinkled salt on it. Obviously their Pizza 'dough' isn't always consistent - because even I know there should be salt in the Pizza base. And guess what? after all that, it was cold. Did not enjoy it. They don't really pay attention to the customer's instructions/requests, the staff look 'dozy' most of the time. I wouldn't recommend that place.ki

Less than 1 star. We have just ordered a kebab and pizza with chips & cheese from Grill Town, we ordered it for collection and were given a collection time of 10mins. We were there in 5 and our food was ready a few minutes later however when we arrived home (less than 3 mins away) the chips were cold, as evidence of this the cheese was not even remotely melted. Very disappointed I rang Grill town to see if they would send another and to my even greater disappointment was told that the chips couldn't be cold and they would not send another as they were far too busy (despite the fact that they were empty when we collected)... We have eaten here before and on occasion found the food quite good however it is very hit or miss. We will not be risking it again.
