The kebab which was purchased on 11th July 2024 was absolutely terrible. The wrapping had been caught with something from a previous order and the amount of grease which was resting at the bottom of the tray was disgusting. A complete and utter waste of £7:00 !!

Any chicken with that sauce sir?

I had a 9" pizza which arrived measuring 8" at best I did mention this the next time I ordered hoping it would be a 9" I just got a strange look. And guess what it was an 8" at best again, safe to say when I'm done I'm done and now I am done with them. Trading standards love this kina thing, might even contact Mat Alright 🤣🤣

9" Mexican Pizza inch and a half short. Think this is actually illegal. I had so much respect for Shaks until they ripped me off. They deserve to go under if this is their way of doing business. Will never use again. No doubt soon to be another empty shop at Clifton 😕

Ordered large noodle boxes for £8.50 each. We had them before so knew what we was expecting. They came in boxes that would only do for a child's meal. We phoned them and they said that they only had small boxes left and we could have a free one next time. Absolutely disgusting

We paid £7.50 for just kebab only but when it was opened it was sat on a naan, it was not in a box and wrapped in tin foil which explains why it was cold to begin with considering that had been done to it. The quality was poor too compared to the last Two previous visits

This is only our 3rd visit to Shaks but unfortunately we was not impressed this time around. The standard quality of the kebab was not as good as previous and for £7.50 we expected more and it was barely warm is why maybe it was wrapped up in tin foil. I just hope if we go there again we will have a better experience.

Waited 45mins(shaks is less than half mile from me) for a £9 mix sheesh,4 piece of chicken,a fair amount of lamb,hardly any salad & the naan was same size as slice if bread. My missis had doner & chips kebab at £7 but came to £18.90 not £17. Rang them,they told me to not eat my food & wait however long(no driver available) to be sent another. Absolute joke. I was starving & they wanted me to sit there & watch my missus scoff her food & wait for an unspecified time for them to bring another,makes no sense. I won't be ordering again.

Ordered deep pan pizzas but once arrived less than a cm thick, shame I can't share photo as when I phoned up, they insisted it was deep pan, I've had thicker thin crust from the shops than what we had tonight. Said they would resend but would be exactly the same, so no point. Prices gone up ridiculously. Never ordering again.

Ordered from here 3 times thought that 3rd time would be better but no worst tasting dull flavours more oil than actual food order was wrong forgetting 3 out of 7 items rice was luke warm poppadoms soft chicken dry flavourless I could go on save your money or pay a little extra worst curry in clifton could stretch as far to say nottingham deffo a no go from me

Consistent. We’ve ordered here for the last 10 years. We now travel 25 minutes just to eat here.

The old women that works at front of house is so rude and disrespectful her customer service is absolutely appalling it’s about time she retired she clearly has no experience in good customer service get a nice fresh and polite face on front of house not someone miserable that clearly doesn’t enjoy her job will be boycotting this takeaway certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.

Ordered a vegetable biryani and chicken tikka madras, both of the sauces were at least half oil, which had leaked everywhere in the bag. Not an enjoyable eat and definitely not worth the money. We won't be ordering curry's from Shaks again.

This place used to be good. Had a kebab for £9.50 and it went in the bid, it was horrid.

Having ordered from here previously, the food was always good and portion sizes adequate for the price. Recently, the order was awful. The kebabs were poorly made with very little meat on. I would expect more than 5 pieces of meat to the kebab. The remainder was terrible. Mask the food with so much sauce its unreal. This place has been going down hill for some time and the last time I order from here.

Worst chicken tikka masala in the world no chicken in the masala sauce paid £30 for a meal absolute joke never order again from there . Shocking

Ordered a large meat feast pizza and without any argument it was a ready made cheap supermarket pizza. This place was once the best takeaway in the area. Never everever again !!!!!!!!!!!

Only ordered two large fries tonight as that's all we needed. Arrived and the man on the till had only requested 1 large to the friers. He told the friers to put 2 new large fries in and said it wont be long sorry. The friers proceeded to ignore him and clearly split what was my 1 fries and another persons fries into 3 , so I ended up with 2 small portions in 2 large containers and charged £4.40. Absolutely disgusting.

Do not order a delivery from here on a busy time they will accept order but not delivere on time stated and not let you know this is unfortunate as there food is fantastic but service shocking

Just had a curry (chef special ) , Bombay potato (aloo) peshwari Nan and paratha snd poppadums. It was truly awful. I used to use this takeaway years ago but ended up going elsewhere, decided to go back and give it a try. Boy do I regret it. Curry was awful thickened with mash potato then thinned back down with a cupful of oil , chicken and meat cut into microscopic pieces, asked for it Ceylon hot but it was just bland medium tasteless. I’d go so far as saying one of the worst I’ve ever had. Bombay slop not much better. Paratha was see through and crispy. Everything tasted salty even the poppadoms. Won’t be using again. Wasted my money. No stars would have been more accurate.

Ordered food after 20 mins after expected delivery time called and they said they’d tried to call me 3 times. No calls to my phone. Offered to redeliver what would be cold food. If it’s late I don’t mind but being lied to…. Not acceptable won’t use again

I’ve not used Shaks for over 4 years , as I didn’t think they were very good , so I thought I’d give them another try , imo they are still not very good ., The amount of oil in the container overwhelmed the taste of the main dish , the poppadoms were so soft in the middle you could bend them in half before they’d break , the rice was ok . It’ll probably be another 4 yrs B4 I try them again . I was so disappointed as I wanted the meal to be nice

Placed an order took it home and it was atroshes it was cold and literally hardly any meat or chips and cost me just under 14 pound

We asked for a kebab with separate salad and I'm disappointed to say it came with the salad in the meat but we asked for it separate because we was sharing it so not happy now one of us has to go without. But the staff seen friendly and it was earlier than they said but what's the point when they get the order wrong I'm not happy

Very disappointing chicken tikka on naan laced with onions and 4 small pieces of chicken chips missing from order, hardly any chicken in the two masalas and very runny this place as gone right down hill been a customer for years had my last one today only reason 1 star had to or could not remark

Decided to give them another chance after poor service previously.... Ordered takeaway Sun pm at 6.34pm ...never arrived after an hour called and they said another 10 mins , arrived 30 mins later...sent it back too late , not great service ! Never again ..will use Curry 2 Nite WB as a lot better

This takeaway has poor customer service. Paid for my takeaway then when I complain about my food they said that I haven't paid for my takeaway!!! Yet how is the takeaway in my hands if i didn't pay. Then have the nerve to call police on me saying I never paid. They hire people who drink on job this is sooooo wrong my delivery driver was drunk wth
