Absolutely loved this place. Worth every penny. Was treated so kindly and very respectfully. Food was delicious and their famous milkshakes! It looks great & modern too and is absolutely spotless!

I had a bad experience with online ordering int his restaurant. I made an order for collection 30 minutes before going to the branch. On arrival at the time of collection the staff could not find my order. He was very rude with me as he did not believe me despite showing him the email of confirmation. He then looked and had and checked the system and search for the order After few minutes they find the order and I had to wait for my order to be prepared. He was not sorry for this mistake and continued with his rude attitude despite me being so respectful with him. All together it too >one hour to get my food. I ordered the food as I have friends watching football with me and we missed half of the match (it was not England match) The restaurant was not busy at all to justify the delay/missing order or the rude behaviour Not recommend if you have vistor at home and ordering food for them

Soggy burger bun and cold meat.. not the best

Good milkshakes, would have preferred a smaller option too as they only do one size. Also as a Muslim establishment get some sort of lota in the toilet, come on bro lol

Customer service was really poor. Two young girls work on the counter taking orders and they were both too busy chatting and playing with their phones even though customers were lined up waiting to order. No urgency, no helpfulness, and zero awareness - orders were being put in the kitchen window with someone shouting orders ready and these girls were completely oblivious. I realised my order was waiting in the window and even though I walked up to to the counter and asked if that was my order, they acted like they couldn't hear me!

The best food honestly! The fries were not greasy and the beef burger is the one! We drove here and there was parking available. Once we got in we made our order and the food arrived so quickly and it was nice and hot!. Deffo would recommend came all the way from London and would say this is the best burger I’ve had in a while!

Cold food 30 mints wait and rude staff useless and waste of time

Food has definitely changed recently (in a good way) had probably the nicest chicken burger today, chicken was perfect and so was the bun and very hot! Only issue with this place is the prices are a bit much and cheapest sauce is £1 should have some free sauces available at least.

Truly and honestly always the best of the best places for the shakes, and tonight I ordered shakes again it was just so fantastic and just spot on shakes, brilliant service in every thing, and I asked to write on them which 1 is which the way they done it it's simple but very nice thoughtful and tell me that they care and professional. So thank you so much for your response and service and the shakes tonight, much appreciated.

Ali, was amazing best shakes in manchester!!!

Ordered the zesty chicken burger, the beefed up burger, mozzarella sticks and the BBQ chicken wings. The chicken was really well cooked, nice and juicy. The buffalo sauce which I ordered in addition to the zesty burger was particularly amazing and definitely needed as it seemed like they added a slightly different, more diluted sauce to the burger. It's also an amazing dip for anything else on the menu like chips. The beefed up burger was also really well made and juicy. Good amount of cheese to sauce ratio. Took quite a while for them to make it but I'm glad it was freshly made (and you could tell).

Best burgers in Manchester. Visited as a family. We all tried different burgers and not a single complaint. The loads fries are the best! Bischoff cheesecake is a must too. The outlet was spotless and clean we’ll definitely be returning again.

It’s a good burger but every single restaurant these days do only smashed patties. Please make a normal patty with an option of medium or well done.

Tried the American fried burger; It was perfectly sauced from the outside so that the large chicken fillet was not dry. Overall tasty but as far as buttermilk chicken fillets are it is lacking the crunch and juicy interior. Also the Cajun fries were poor. Still satisfied nevertheless

Decided to try a few things on the menu… the chips firstly were incredibly tasty, it’s hard to get chips right..finished them! The chicken burgers and beef burgers were my favourite with all the flavours packed in on a soft bun! Cheesy sticks DELISH (not original name 🤣) The chicken wings crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, which is west you want! The dips are tasty although I stayed away from the spicy one 💅 Now deserts…. My personal favourite is the red velvet cookie dough! Warm cookie with whipped ice cream! Dreamy!!! Loads of seating in a bright airy restaurant front. I’m coming back!!!

Literally the best burger place you will ever try! Their food is always full of flavour from their burgers to the loaded fries and you cannot leave this place without trying out their sensational shakes! I always leave this place thinking when my next visit will be… shakedown is somewhere you won’t want to miss! 🍔🫶🏾

Milkshakes are too good and worth the price!

Prices went up but food quality went down. The OG shakedown fans can detect the change. It's glaringly obvious.

Removing the Lunch time deal has ruined this place for me, way too overpriced now. £11-12 for burger and chips is a joke. The lunchtime deal was £6 and reasonably price, used to come every Friday. Now never again.

Overall pretty disappointed, went in because they’d advertised an offer online but then didn’t actually accept the offer when I tried to order and generally just not great service, had to wait quite a while too. Wouldn’t recommend the chicken here, I got the spicy chicken burger and some wings, both were way too salty and just not that good compared to other places I’ve been in the area. Chicken burger at least wasn’t dry and the texture was pretty good. Chips tasted like fairground donuts. Overall given the price and the fact you don’t get any chips or drink included you’d expect the food to be better. I will say however one of my mates got the beef burger which was pretty decent, still not enough to make me want to go back

Reason for the one star, saw a promotion through instagram which said to claim a burger but upon arriving had to pay, false advertising. Totally pointless advertisement, need to rethink how you advertise. Was definitely not taken care of.

New cheadle branch.Great service and easy menu to choose items from. The standard burger and chicken burger with buffalo loaded fries was quality. Would definitely state it was in my top 10 burgers I've eaten. Food wasn't rushed and cooked fresh and piping hot. Will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu

Yeah ngl foods mid. Service and place is decent. I paid for a friend of mine spent £38. You have to buy chips and drink separately and that's £4 extra ontop of your burger. Sauces are also separate 50p-£2. Was expecting to get a decent big size burger since I ordered the burger w the chicken and beef but wasn't to my expectations. Loaded fries was oh-kayy. Rather get the normal chips WITHOUT the American cheese (never again unless you like it)you get with the burger.

Beefed burger is nice, haven't tried any dessert yet. The service is very slow especially for a 'fast food' place hence the 4 star (45min wait for a couple of burgers). The deco is nice and there's around 20 seats inside.

Came with a friend for the milkshakes which were 10 out of 10 and was served by Ali who was very polite and helpful.

Clean, quick & consistent. Excellent food, for a price you know you'll be getting quality. There isn't much better places in Manchester that do it like Shakedown. As close to a 10/10 you'll get on the popping food scene in Mcr. Staff are hospitable and a solid reflection of the business. Try it our for yourselves! Ali was my server and if the other staff are sound as him, then this place is your go to spot for all things shakes and smashed burgers.

Took a trip to the Withington branch recently for a family members birthday and I couldn’t recommend this place enough! The staff were incredibly catering to us all, and the food was incredible. No issues with the food order and it came at a reasonable time considering how busy it was and it was enjoyed by us all. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Never had a bad burger from here

I was recommended this place so I thought I would check it out. The food was good but not great and the prices were extortionate which means the value for money just isn’t there as you can get more for your money elsewhere. The price is only justified if the food is something special which it clearly isn’t.

Food was burned and chicken wings being cooked in an old oil and it looks like oil been not changed for a week !!!👎🏼

Was really looking forward to this place after watching videos on social. Was really disappointed. Got 2 pulled beef burgers which were really small and looked like a kids burger. Also got 1 chicken zesty burger again was really small. Definitely not worth the money. Theres better places like miami and burger box(Longsight) if you want good burgers worth your money. The customer service could be better. Left this place after eating them burgers and was still hungry. Won't be visiting this place again. Its a shame as I was really looking forward to this and I travelled 20miles.

Very disappointed. We used to come to Shakedown frequently and this is the first time we returned after they reopened recently. Was looking forward to a lovely meal but unfortunately was let down. We ordered american fried burger and loaded fries. Everything was so tasteless, we won’t be returning.

Wow had i made big mistake ordering from shakedown and regret doing so as they had got my order wrong and still charging me. So i ordered 5 buffalo loaded chicken from shakedown using the uber eats app and came to find out my order was wrong and instead came 5 skin on fries. I wasn’t sure if there was rush or confusion with my order but if you look at the prices for buffalo loaded and skin on fries the difference is £6.75 so i was charged that much 5 times for the wrong order. Once i made this complain to uber they said they are unable to provide me a refund for the mistake the takeaway made and said there nothing they can do about we went back and forth for a month and two. So I went online if i should take some legal action but i read I should make a complain at the takeaway cause they handle and prepare my food and till this day i havent got my compensation or a reorder for my food which i paid over £60 for and no apology was given from uber nor the takeout while they are in fault for this.

First time at this place tonight… one word: outstanding, this particular place and quality of food should be in every City, Thank You.

Great tea and service and atmosphere

Average food with expensive prices. We paid around £35 for 2 burger meals and a shake. Don’t feel the price reflected the food.

Had low expectations as I thought it was all about the shakes…but agreed to take 4 teens here for burgers in the holidays! We all enjoyed absolutely amazing hot, flavoursome, fresh burgers and fries. Staff very friendly and helpful … it could be a bit on the expensive side as they all had burgers then milkshakes too, but as we had the lunch menu we were all in for £50- not bad at all. (Would recommend the spicy chicken burgers )

Popped here for a quick bite to eat, not sure what to expect. However, we were absolutely blown away by how delicious this was! We ordered lots of food, and with us being fussy eaters we changed and added a lot of things, but they got all of our changes right! Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Definitely on the more expensive side, but worth it for the great quality and taste.

Good food but customer service slacking recently. Got my order wrong the past two times. Accused me of lying. Won’t reply to the email following my latest order. I was once one of their top customers. Nice to know customer loyalty means nothing here. Update: Rather than resolving the issue, I was asked to remove my review. Update: contrary to the response, I have not been back, nor did the discount code ever work

Went to shakedown tonight and the girl and the boy who served me had amazing customer service. They were both super helpful and made me feel welcome from the minute i came through the door. I would recommend shakedown to any of friends. Thank you so much for making my night!

Only veggie option was a ‘grilled cheese’ one slice of plastic cheese between two buns and a bit of lettuce. Don’t go if you don’t eat meat

Overpriced food is just one statement to describe it. Food is not worth the price at all.

Visited the Cheadle branch for a solo burger whilst hubby was out of town. Unfortunately the experience was very underwhelming. They got my order wrong and put mayo/sauce when I explained about 10 times that I don’t like it and didn’t want it on there. It was downhill from there. As I bought the food home i didn’t really want to go back so had to scrape the mayo off but could still taste it ugh! The order also took a long time to arrive and they weren’t very busy in the shop, Finally the presentation could be worked on. The burger was just wrapped in some foil and was flattened so didn’t even look appetising. Maybe traditional burger boxes would work better. Although the bits of the burger without mayo were actually tasty so it could have been a much better experience but let down by not listening to customers specifications, poor presentation and slow service. Lots of room for improvement.

The food is definitely overpriced and the portions are definitely not what they seem from their instagram. the burger it self isn’t even anything special. The only good thing is their staff they were very nice. But i’ll definitely not be eating here again. £11 wasted
