I accidentally reviewed SWR on Uber Eats when it was meant to be a review for the driver and you can't change reviews once they've done - so annoying! Can't recommend SWR enough :-) totally not their fault our driver went the wrong way about 100 times delivering our lunch...

This place is a real hidden gem. Fresh produce, quality and fanatic value. The owner Glenn is friendly, chatty and a wrap master. My family are regulars and cannot go too long without these epic crunchy wraps. Healthy options available and plenty for veggies and vegans. All sauces are made in store and delicious. If you haven’t been here before do yourself a favour and get down there pronto!! ….Onion bhajis are insane and a must have addition.

This is how takeaway food should be, healthy whole foods, delicious homemade sauces, and perfectly presented & easy to wolf down. SWR sets the bar so high yet its still very reasonably priced, & its totally independently run by the very friendly, welcoming Glenn. I used to go to Subway, but now I wouldnt dream of something so low quality. This is what exactly Subway pretends to be. Bravo!!!

Been here regularly over the past year an can’t believe I haven’t been before the gentleman who runs the place is great and gives a fantastic service all on his and you can see and taste the tlc that goes into everything highly recommend, I’m not vegan myself and still really enjoy it here but there are many vegan options available too so don’t miss out, and all very well priced

Great veggie/vegan selection. Really good fresh, healthy food and it was only £5 for a medium wrap (which was pretty big). Great service also.

I am a regular here and it is a fantastic place, all the food is greta quality, the owner makes all his own sauces and preparations for the fillings and you get a lot of bang for your buck, superb food.

I have been to this shop several times and I absolutely love the food. The meat is fresh and comes from the butchers literally a few doors down the road. I normally have a spicy beef sausage, spicy chicken wrap with salad and it is just divine. For me this is so much better than going to subway and I urge you to try it at least once. I will continue to come here even if I have to travel a fair distance to get there. thanks for all the good food, very much appreciated all the best Keith

Guy behind counter was very helpful and chatty despite being clearly very busy on his own, most places still closed due to Covid! Wraps were delicious, I went for onion bhaji and chutney. Will be heading back soon.

The gentleman recommended a vegie wrap based on my tastes - onion bhahi with coriander and chilli.... my god it was good! Pls do a halal option!!

Wraps are huge fresh tasty great value and pretty damn healthy too! Lots of veggie options!! 🌯 Never ever been disappointed will return again and again despite living out of the city nowadays. Thanks guys!!

I regularly eat here and always get fantastic food. With great range of fillings and sauces the basic wrap is a full on meal. I have yet to build up sufficient hunger for the beast but one day....... The staff are always friendly and keen to make sure that your order is to your requirements. I can recommend this place enough!

Eaten here twice in a week. The first time I had the vegan wrap with onion baaji and aloo gobi, with all the salads and hot sauce. This was so good that I then ordered a Deliveroo a few days later. Based on the owners recommendation I went for the spicy chicken with onion baaji, with all the salads, hot sauce and lemon and coriander sauce. He did not lie - it was an excellent combination. I know these are “only” wraps, but the flavour combinations are scrumptious, and in my opinion, tastier and better value for money than most of the other popular independent wrap places in Bristol. Furthermore, Glenn (the owner) is such a gem of a person, that you can’t help but want to eat here and support him and his business.

I like big wraps and I cannot lie... especially from @shakewrapandroll and their beast wrap (which I shared btw because it was humongous) packed with fresh & delicious ingredients! Very friendly staff, nice tasty casual bites!

Huge, massive and filling wraps. Excellent value for money. The lamb with halloumi was particularly delicious.

Good value for money and great service, the server recommended some really nice combinations for me and my friend. Nice music too.

We ordered through deliveroo. Firstly the food arrived cold, upon opening the wraps we discovered that one of them of a lam instead of Halloumi, not great if you're a vegetarian. We ended sharing the remaining wrap only to find there was none of the sauce which we had requested and some of the salad inside had gone brown and definitely wasn't fresh. Really disappointed as we have ordered from here before but certainty won't be ordering again.

Ordered 3 times from deliveroo now. Good value, delicious, perfectly toasted wraps with loads of lush feta and halloumi and fresh salad. I wished they opened later though :)

I had a really wonderful experience in Shake Wrap and Roll. They were playing great music. I was served quickly and efficiently by a member of staff called Daisy who was extremely smiley and nice to my kids.

Primera visita y sin duda la última. Mientras hacía mi envoltura, observé a uno de los miembros del personal que manejaba dinero en efectivo de otro cliente con sus guantes de comida azul puestos, y luego procedí inmediatamente a preparar un envoltorio diferente para los clientes.

I was ignored for the first few minutes of my time in the shop, not a great start to my visit. When I did get asked what I wanted there was no hello, no smile, nothing. I have seen more cheery people at a funeral. I had the lamb and mint, expecting chunks of lamb and some kind of mint sauce dribbled on. Instead it was just a lamb and mint sausage reheated. That aside when it was served in the wrap with the salad it was ok, but forgettable. The worst part of the visit for me is that whilst my wrap was going through the final stages of being prepared the miserable lady behind the counter put her coat on and started rolling a cigarette behind the counter where the food is prepared!! I couldn’t believe it. Not acceptable. At all. She just told the bloke behind the counter to take over and went for her cigarette. Disgusting. I will not be back, and may even be speaking to the food hygiene agency and recommending an urgent inspection.

Probably one of the best wraps I've ever had. I got halloumi, hummus and cheese and it was the best configuration of food within a wrap that I've experienced. Great bread and great taste, the balance between ingredients was done perfectly will defiantly return. Thank you.

Bhaji de cebolla tenía una envoltura que era genial, muy buena la mezcla de sabores y texturas.

Me volveré a ser honesto, no puedo recordar lo que he tenido porque he tenido unos pocos, pero cada vez que he tenido realmente deliciosas envolturas (y un batido de soja que estaba bastante bien). Generalmente no terminar un toda envoltura en una sentada, así que conseguir dos comidas por el precio de uno. Jugoso, sabroso y caliente.

For veggies I feel they offer nice ingredients that allow you to create what you want. I also enjoy the chat I tend to have with the staff, it's pleasant.

Mejor envoltura en Bristol por mucho. Queríamos algo rápido y sabroso. . Este lugar me impactó, Glen el dueño era impecable y la comida era incluso mejor. Si no han sido entrar aquí ahora. No me decepcionó. Volveremos al menos una vez al mes!

Again another place that had been recommended to me on several occasions... it took me ages to finally try it and my God have I been missing out.... it's a quirky little place just before the bridge... the guy that served me was very friendly... the choices were amazing... great to get those taste buds tingling... I am vegetarian and I had a great choice... love love love xx

I can't explain how good the wrap of the year summer makes the best of best wrap I ever had I had bbq chicken with bbq sauce with cheddar cheese and grated carrot my god it was haven that first bite was haven

Very tasty wraps and full of fresh ingredients. Plenty of choice on the Gloucester Road, but this one is worth a try for lunch.

You can eat well here for under 8 quid. Super friendly staff and quick service. There are tables, but not a restaurant atmosphere.

It's good to see this great little place get a new lease of life. The freshly prepared and healthy menu options come in a way that everyone can enjoy. The new owner has had a spring clean and obviously sorted his staff out as it's always a friendly atmosphere in there and I eat there at least twice a week and so do a lot of my friends. If you're in Bristol and in the Cheltenham Rd area, check it out. You won't regret it.

This is the second time that I've been here and this is a lot better than the first :) I think that it may be under new management. The wrap was served professionally, and quickly and the decor was very nice. Black and white clean lines. The portion sizes were perfect - I had one filling and it was more than enough :) the staff were friendly and the price is fare. Will definitely be going back back and recommend it to others :)

Along with a girl who was in a rubbish mood serving me and my friend she also decided that she wanted to heat the wrap up with all the salad in it creating a lovely mash of cooked hot salad that was more like the contents of a compost heap. tasty sauce and meat but learn how salad works please. at 7 pound as well it was an unprofessional disappointment. Took ages and has awful art on the walls. sorry

My boyfriend and I got two wraps to take away; one lamb (sausages) and one chicken. They were both fine, but nothing special. The sauces were added in large quantities, so it was hard to taste anything else. The sweet chilli was particularly overwhelming; not particularly spicey, there was just masses of it. It tasted like sweet n sour veg sauce from a jar. I would try Shake, Wrap N Roll one more time, but I would have no sauce on it.

Great quality meat, salad and home made sauces that all add up to an amazing wrap. Go for a Gert Lush meat for a wrap that is so big it barely closes! If I'm working from home, there's only one place I'll go to for lunch.

I live just round the corner from here so I go quite regularly. I used to be a biblos devotee but since coming to shake wrap and roll I don't really bother with biblos. The portions are generous but not silly, the choice is more then enough to keep you coming back and the quality is noticeably high.My only criticisms are that it's more than a bit scruffy inside. I imagine that there is a big section of the populace put off by the rough and ready appearance of the place and sometimes it can take a while to get the wrap.All in all one of the areas best lunch time takeaways. Could do with a makeover though.

Having previously raved about Shake Wrap and Roll and visited quite a few times since, I think today was my last trip. The lady owner is not there as often and in her absence the other staff when left to their own devices seem to attract large groups of their teenage friends who giggle and talk loudly about the big night out they are having tonight/they had last night. It's a small space and their conversation is loud and annoying. I have probably witnessed this 3 or 4 times now. The chap who manages the place always asks me the same question about which salad I want, even though I have been in many times and always answer the same way. Finally, the wrap I had today was not great. Think I will stick to Bubalu up the road for consistently good wraps, friendly service and eating in peace.

Shake wrap and roll is a excellent cafe with a great menu and very friendly staff! The wraps are massive with locally sourced organic contents and very affordable, best lunchtime option on Gloucester road.

Interior does need a little attention, but the service and food was good. No scrimping on wrap fillings and lots of combination options available! Yum!

So today, I picked the eatery “Shake Wrap and Roll”.Shake Wrap and Roll is a small shop on a corner near The Arches ( a bridge and a hairdressing shop). Their shop is easily recognized as it is painted in bright colours and on one side of the wall there is paintings of various vegetables. I like this as it shows the creativity people along Gloucester Road have and brings out that much-loved hippie vibe!At this shop they offer a selection of wraps,rolls, salads, shakes and smoothies. They offer food for both vegans and vegetarians. They also only buy free range meat, sell gluten free salads and make their own homemade hummus and relishes. When visiting this place it is best to make sure you have around 15 minutes free to wait as the food is prepared in front of you. The meats are already sliced but they are grilled to perfection and the wraps are also grilled too. 15 minutes was roughly how long I waited, so bare this in mind.The shop is small with a slight triangular shape. It has stools by the windows, and 3 tables to sit at. It was a sunny day outside and it seemed to me there was no air-conditioning in this place or the grills were making a massive amount of heat, it was boiling hot in there so I choose to take my food away rather sit in.There was only one guy working behind the counter but he was really kind and well-mannered. He managed to take quite a few orders from some customers and get them correct and done in a timely manner. He also was kind enough to explain what certain things were which I have never tried before such as tzatziki sauce. He also gave me a loyalty card before I left so if I get 12 stamps from there I can get my next order free!The menus are quite small but varied although many fussy eaters would probably not eat here as many of the foods are, shall i say, more exotic? Unusual? It’s not your average Cesar chicken, ham and cheese, BLT type of wraps. The fillings were along the lines of Feta cheese, Falafel, Chorizo and Haloumi but there was also some sort-of normal fillings such as barbecue chicken, spicy chicken and chili beef. You can pick your salad and sauces at the end it’s along the lines of: bbq, lemon & coriander, tzatzaki or hummus but they also do your normal mayonnaise, tomato ketchup and HP sauce.I originally picked the “Rosemary Butternut Vegetables” wrap as I wanted to be a bit adventurous but unfortunately they have stopped doing this one. So the most obvious second choice for me was to pick the “Barbecue Chicken with Sage” wrap. I also had enough change for a Tropical Fruits Smoothie too.I drank the smoothie first.The smoothie was really smooth without those horrible lumps and bumps you can sometimes get. It was very flavorsome with tastes of apple, pineapple, kiwi and many more. It was not sickly sweet and it wasn’t really thick. It tasted really nice!Next I munched on the “barbeque chicken with sage” wrap. I must say these wraps can stay warm for quite a long time! I ate mine 30 minutes after buying as I had to get to work but it was still warm when I tried it, which surprised me! The chicken was grilled well to give it a slightly well done look which did not taste burn’t and tasted great. You can only taste a very little bit of sage but this is good as it wasn’t overwhelming.They put the right amount of bbq sauce on top so it did not overpower all the flavours. Normally I like tons of bbq sauce but this minimal amount was perfect as I could really relish in the mixture of flavours. In my wrap I added all sorts of salad, this included: lettuce, cucumber, cabbage, grated carrot, grated cheese, gherkins and red onion. I love to pack in my vegetables! The vegetables accommodated the meat well giving it a nice texture and made it a bit more savory sweetness. The wrap was soft not chewy but there is a slight crunch where the fold of the wrap is but that is to be expected due to the cooking process. The wrap was really tasty and very filling!! I would definitely go back to this venue. The prices are cheap and it tastes better then getting on of those pre-packed wraps from Tesco..plus you get a lot for what you pay for! I am still full up and I ate it an hour ago!!

It would be possible to summarise this place as: 'Wraps (and drinks) made to order', but this does not do it justice. Even if the food wasn't excellent (it is), even if the atmosphere wasn't welcoming and friendly and fun (it is), I would still recommend eating here.Shake Wrap and Roll is just fun. Watching your food get made is entertaining and it always baffles me how they can fit so much food into a wrap! There are so many options and you get so much choice! You really can customise your food down to the last olive. The food itself is fantastic, it is filling and moreish and tasty and healthy and just brilliant! There is a lot of choice about what you want on your wrap and you can even request food that isn't on the menu and they will do their best to create it for you. Their loyalty card system is one of the best I've ever seen, 10 visits for a free wrap and they remember if you forget your card and give you extra stamps next time. I've never laughed so much at a restaurant as I have visiting here. Please try it, you'll be happy that you visited even if the wraps are not to your taste. (Although you'd be mad not to love the wraps too!)

Food was delicious and they really know about what they serve. The owner is hilarious and really passionate about what she sells. The onion bhajis are lovely !!

The best wraps you can buy! Superb quality ingredients and plenty of choice. I always go for pulled pork and bhaji and it's always terrific. Service good unless you are unfortunate enough to get the owner who is like an awful female version of Basil Fawlty!

Walked past this place many times and always thought their wraps looked lovely. Been in a few times now and they are. Very friendly place with interesting wrap-based food. Fairly small and wraps are all freshly prepared so can take a while to get one when busy.

I have been to this cafe/takeaway on two occasions. It appears to be a family run place. The premises are small but comfortable and friendly. The wraps are very good and come with a selection of home made fillings from spicy chicken to several vegetarian options. The wraps are prepared fresh to order and cooked whilst you wait. They come with all sorts of options including a choice of sauces and fresh salad. They are substantial and good value for money. I sat and ate one in the cafe whilst watching the world go by in the busy main street. They are freshly prepared so take a little time to serve but I found them delicious and a great new "street food" idea.

well situated on the gloucester road , near the arches , this little wrap bar offers an original and tasty selection of wraps , with a warm and friendly atmosphere, and good service , generous helpings , original recipes , why not drop in .

I went here last week i only live 5 minunt walk so i fort i would try the place out i am supprised that no has riten a review on this place yet i went for a regural wrape now i know subway do sandwitchs but i would go here hand down any time the staff are really friendly they have home made sauces witch is one of the things i look for i had a chorizo wrape with a tasic bass and all of the salad it was all melt in your mouth day will deffenly be going back
