I am not a vegetarian but I have to admit I’m truly addicted to the fish tacos. They are absolutely sensational, cooked to order and superbly crafted into a gastronomic work of art.

Average. We both had fish tacos, they were ok, really nothing special that would deserve a 4 star plus rating so I'm quite confused by the other ratings. 3 very small slivers of fish in too much batter on a taco that wasn't cooked with salad on. Very well meh 😕

Hidden gem, small, tasteful Hawaiian theme, independent, well priced and different lunch menu, beautiful cakes. Splendid.

We had a fantastic lunch here. Halloumi tacos with a side of fries, plant based "chicken" burger followed by a couple of great coffees and a slice of blueberry and lemon streusel. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Varied menu from vegan to fish. The portions are very generous so go hungry. Will definitely be going back. Thanks guys.

So lucky to have this little gem in Scarborough! A great selection of tacos, poke bowls, sides, and always a couple of specials including a meat free burger. My own favourite is the fish tacos, they are so tasty with the lightest, crispiest batter I have ever tasted! Everything is freshly prepared and skilfully cooked by Stu in the tiniest kitchen! If you are looking for cake and coffee you will not be disappointed. Cherry bakes the most fantastic cakes, and serves great coffees too. A selection of other hot and cold drinks are available too. I highly recommend you pay them a visit.

Cherry and Stu have created the most welcoming and wonderful environment, with cakes which can only be described as exceptional! From the calming and soulful music to the vibrant and uplifting decor, I can feel this becoming a regular visit for us. Thank you for our wonderful start to the year of coffee, cake and conversation, our visit to Sha-Ka was very special :)

Impromptu lunch for my son's 19 th Birthday.Service and food excellent. Served promptly and such fresh well presented food. We will be back.

Fantastic, unusual fish and veggie food. The poke bowls are to die for! Super friendly owners who really make you feel welcome.

Beautifully presented food which tastes as good as it looks. Fresh, good quality ingredients used. The homemade cake was just too pretty not try and a good excuse to stay for a second cup of the best coffee we've had in a long time. The food here is incredible! Portions are great value. So tasty and delicious. Cherry is the best host. Cherry green tea is amazing. The cakes…. I always take one home because they are homemade and made with love. My favourite spot for a special lunch.

Cannot reccomend shaka enough to all of my friends and family, and everybody else in scarborough🤫. Went for the poke bowl today, as I usually do, and it was just as delicious as always! The service is always great, as is the coffee! 😋

You need the French Toast in your life. Also, the Chai Latte and the cakes generally are amazing. To top it off, the staff are the best!

First time visiting since it was YaCoffee..Greeted by hosts and Grandma. Good feel to the place and pleased the coffee hits the spot.....even if I didn't want any sprinkles.

We tried Sha-Ka at the recommendation of our hosts and it was a perfect lunch spot. Its a tiny place in the basement of a York Place building but is beautifully decorated in Hawaiian style and the hostess who served, waited took payment was lovely....

Sha-ka is truly something unique and different for Scarborough. Delicious and healthy, the food is top notch. The decor is beautiful and brings a little bit of Hawaii to our seaside town. Everything has been well thought out and the attention to detail is stunning....

Popped into Sha-Ka for the first time today; I had the homemade granola which was fantastic! The coffee was excellent too - I can’t wait to try lunch!

Decided to visit after seeing on FB. Wasn't disappointed had a Hawaian salmon poke bowl full of loveliness. Highly recommended for non meat eaters and I love steaks! 10 out of 10.
