Shahi Tandoori Indian Takeaway in Lancaster

Do not use this restaurant, it is a scam, ordered from just eat, order did not turn up, went to restaurant next to collect, to find it's ceased trading, but is still taking orders and money of people, never got my money back

Ordered tonight asked for onion bhajis received onion rings ( well known Indian cuisine 😂)ordered chapati and they just didn’t send one the food didn’t resemble anything other than diarrhoea and when I rang to complain the first time they hung up the second he said you can have a free bhaji next time we order , they’ll be waiting a VERY long time.

Awful curry the worst we’ve had the containers of the rice smelt like stale water the curry was swimming in fat

We ordered 4 different curries and a pizza. All the curries tasted the same although completely different backgrounds. The pizza was average at best… if you want a cheap and very average curry and pizza then I would recommend however if you wish to have a pleasant take away then order elsewhere…

Omg, ordered a takeaway, how disappointed we were. We spent £32. My daughter wanted chips and curry. How disgusting are these, she wouldn’t even try them!!

Pizzas & kebabs are top notch! We got a rogen Josh & pilau rice aswell tho but was nice just thought they could put more meat & veg in it!

So we ordered a tikka and a madras, they tasted similar to each other, the madras wasn’t slightly spicy, I have literally had 2 mouthfuls and binned it! Me and my partner both binned our food. Don’t get curry from here

Disappointing. Don't order the korma it tastes like wallpaper paste. The chicken was okay but it was disappointing considering it took half an hour to come out. The place needs to decide whether it is an Indian or a pizza place. You can't do both well.

First time here, ordered 2 chicken tikka on Nan with salad, wow we were surprised at how good these were. The chicken was tender and juicy not dry at all and the flavour was good with the charcoal flavour coming through. Excellent. Best in morecambe we have tried others.

We usually get the kebab meal deal and a garlic bread. Kebabs and salad are generally a good size portion, and the salad is always fresh. The chips are usually quite a small portion. Garlic bread is usually good. Garlic and chilli sauces are usually good, but the garlic sauce was really runny last time we got it and has put us off returning

I'm rating Shahi 4* based on the customer service being better than the food. I got a great deal on my order - I got the Special Offer 'Deal 3' which is 2 x Curries, 1 Pilau rice, 2 x poppadum with chutney, 1 naan, chips & 2 cans of coke for £14 which is amazing and great value! We ordered a korma which I get often, unfortunately there was an ingredient in this dish which was so over powering I just couldn't eat it. I also ordered the onion bahji starter which comes as a large, gooey, again overpowering ball. The food was good quality however, I won't be ordering from here. I do want to mention the customer service we got, the delivery driver was very nice and they even put a smiley face on the box to tell us what is what - which brightened up our night... unfortunately that was the best thing about this takeaway.

I ordered a vegetable vindaloo by telephone, and within 30 minutes it was delivered to my hotel. I was called back when the delivery was about to happen. The food quality was very good and plentiful and very hot in temperature and spices. With the curry dish, there was a choice of chips, rice or nan bread included in the price. Delivery in Morecambe was free with orders of just £7 or over. They also serve Pizzas, Burgers, Kebabs and many other items. Well worth calling them for a quality and friendly service.

This is my favourite place to get take out from. The variety is great so there's something for everyone and the meals are always really tasty. I'd definitely recommend it

Without doubt the best in town... Curries and Kebab's are second to none and I don't know another outlet that can touch their burgers for either taste or price. Highly recommend !!!!!

Iv tried the rest but found the best the pizzas aint greasy the kebabs are large and the staff are pleasent id try this place

Been ordering food from shahis for years. They do the best pepperoni pizzas ive ever tasted and the chicken tikka masala is amazing. Always quick delivery.Everyone weve recommended shahis to have always commented how good their meals were. Cheap, great tasting food, cant go wrong.

all the curries taste the same,nothing authentic in anyway,its ashame as this makes indian,bangladeshi food seem very poor.

Use this take away regular, the food is very tasty and really good portions for the price. The chicken balti is delicious, the food always arrives piping hot. Cannot complain.

Chicken jalfrezzi that was milder than a bhuna and only contained 3 pieces of chicken rest was peppers and onions, tasted like something from a jar! The bhuna tastes like the spices were off or had been leafy out in the air for months,first time I've tried the place and never again,I eat curry quite a lot and have never tasted anything as crap as this,maybe try have no pride in there food in that kitchen but I have seen better looking vomit.. 16 quid went straight in the bin,the popadom was crispy and the mango sauce good but the mint sauce looked like water..

Always order from here the Kebabs are truly amazing, the mixed kebab id truly scrumptious with juicy chicken tikka chargrilled to perfection, a mouth watering shish and then the best donner meat I've tasted. Salad always fresh and crunchy served in a soft nan bread along with a chilli sauce which has a great kick. Curries are always good and the pizzas are fantastic. Food always arrives piping hot even at busy times and delivered on time. Need I say more we use them on a regular basis, have tried others but Shahi's are the best

only gave me one piece of chicken and one piece of lamb in my mixed madras so wont return ever again. rip off
