Delhicious in Lancaster

Ive been a regular here for a while and usually order the same thing everytime and its always been great without fail . Tonight though was diabolical , first noticed the salad looked like itd been in the sun a week , then opened the order to find meat that was dry as beef jerky and half the amount as i usually get . Not to mention the prices have increased so for £18 this is the pittance i got . Wont be ordering again

Not tried Delhicious Indian before but fancied a change. Ordered through Just Eat. Was surprised how quickly it arrived. The chicken tikka biryani and onion bhajis were delicious, so I’ll defo try a few other things off their menu in future.

Great service and extras included in deal. good correspondence from there too.

Never experienced such poor service from a takeaway. Ordered through Uber eats, took over 2 and a half hours for food to arrive (expected wait time was 45 minutes). When the food arrived we were missing an item and food was cold, staff on the phone came across irritated that they had to fix their mistake. Would honestly recommend just buying a ready meal and microwaving it for 20 seconds — it will save you a lot of time for the same quality of food.

Food was 3 hours late cold and missing some of our order, cheese was stale. Called for support and they were very rude. Frankly appalling service and food.

Just Eat delivery timing was great. Unfortunately the quantity of food compared to previous orders was lacking… we could previously do a dinner and lunch but on the last two deliveries we have only just managed a dinner. I understand that businesses are struggling but portion size was very poor for the cost.

Was the 2nd time ordering from here and both times the food was outstanding. It arrived hot unlike some other places I didn't need to warm it up in the microwave. the saag also was one of the best I've had in a while and the mixed starter was just the right size. I had the chicken roshuni which was full of flavour and had plenty of chicken in. I will definitely be ordering from here again!! 10/10

I ordered the Madras chicken curry, chilli rice, and bindi bhaji, and I must say the food was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked! Apart from the amazing food, I’d like to appreciate the delivery person from the restaurant, who was extremely sweet. On top of that, I even received some free extras, which was such a thoughtful touch. Great food and excellent service—highly recommend this place!

Food was hot and tasty. The order was running a little late as they were so busy (Xmas eve) but they phoned before the original delivery time to let us know which was much appreciated. They even threw in a couple of Xmas goodies for us! We've been looking for a decent curry place since we moved here. Now we've found one and they will definitely be our 1st choice from now on!

The very best place. Food is always outstanding. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Always order from here and it is consistently brilliant. Special shout out to the delivery driver, I only wish I had some change on me to tip him.

Been going to this takeaway for a few years now. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a curry. Usually get it delivered but the last couple of occasions I have nipped in to collect and have been met with really friendly staff. Such tastey food, would really recommend! The Korma is so delicious!

Never ordered from here before but we decided we wanted an Indian. The restaurant rang to say they were running a bit behind and will be a little bit past the time it says on just eat which no restaurant has ever done before that I’ve ordered from. The delivery driver was lovely and chatty when he dropped food off. Last of all the food was amazing but Indian I’ve had in a while the tikka masala was lovely and the samosas and also my partner loved his food. We will order again soon for definite.

ordered again because it was 10/10 last time. it yet again was a solid 50/10, delivery driver was really sweet and food came quick. this time I added cheesy chips to my order and it definitely did not disappoint. this place is really great value for money and they kindly gave me vegetable samosas for free which were so tasty. I do not usually like vegetable based things but those were absolutely spot on. The chicken in the chicken curry was cooked to perfection, it wasn't too hard or soft. brill

I almost wanted to invite the delivery guy inside to eat with us because of how lovely he was. Other lancaster Indian takeaways should be worried because this is the best Indian I've had in years. the potatoes (I forgot the actual name of the dish) were perfectly cooked, not too soggy at all and the sauce it came in was incredible. the spicy prawn madras was just amazing. my very picky cat had a taste (and instantly regretted it because of the spice) but came back to beg for more 😆. 10/10.

Seeing recent reviews, I was concerned delhi had closed. I'm happy to say we had an extensive buffet of food tonight, starters, mains, rices breads, etc. Having used this takeaway for years, tonight was the best by far. Lovely spicing, thick sauce full of ingredients and good portion size. Thanks guys!

The food was excellent,hot on arrival, plenty of chicken with good portions of rice. The Malaysian Biryani was a large portion and lovely tasting, the sweet curry sauce with it really set it off. The Ceylon chicken had large pieces of chicken and was both soura with not too hot a taste. Peshwari naans were a treat to eat. I would recommend either dish. Not forgetting the Onion Bhaji's starter (2 x Bhaji's with sauce and salad) were both really good size and flavour. Will definately order again next time.

I’ve just had the worst experience and meal ever, will never order from this place again. Apart from delivering me the wrong order, their attitude when I rang up left a lot to be desired, and they kept hanging up on me, the food is nothing to shout about either, and I spent almost £40.

Not impressed won’t be ordering from here again. The Korma had hard frozen vegetables used instead of fresh vegetables. The curry has a consistency of soup and was flavourless. The onion bhaji was good the popadoms were good. The chutneys tasted nasty. Delivery driver was friendly and within the delivery time.

Ordered my favourite Malaysian Chicken Biryani yesterday 25.4.24. No chicken in it at all. No accompanying salad as mentioned on the menu. Very disappointing. It’s what I usually order, but I don’t know if I’d risk it again.

just ordered my very first order from her for me and my partner. despite all the reviews i was a tad worried. however it was very delicious. Food came on time, delivery driver was kind, food was very hot, big portions for a decent price. Only bad thing i could note is curry’s were a little oily however very good and enjoyable overall. will probably be ordering again.

Best Indian takeaway in Lancaster. Been going for years. I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve seen a few negative reviews; someone wasn’t happy with their chips and wrap……,, I have no words.

We've been getting takeaways for years from Delhicious and the food has always been great but I guess the ownership or chef has changed as our last takeaway was really bad. It was overly spiced to the point of being inedible and the quality of the food awful-even the chips! We ended up throwing the lot away sadly. Contacted Delhicious on Facebook messenger and got no response. Their website contact page isn't working either.

Wow. I genuinely don’t have many words for this awful takeaway we had tonight. It wasn’t even edible. Stone cold chips that weren’t even half cooked. A wrap that was so stale and hard that could barely be chewed and almost no chicken inside. What a waste of money and time.

Food Amazing as always - Delivery time needs to be changed for a Saturday night

We have been using this takeaway for over 10 years now and have had great food that was great value too. We don't live near Lancaster but do visit about four or five times a year and we always have a takeaway from Delhicious. Of late though the food quality hasn't been quite as good and the quantity has got less but the price has gone up, markedly so. I would now say that their offerings aren't value for money at all. We had a tandoori mix grill and a chicken tikka masala on the 18th January 24. I noticed that the cost of the food had risen from around £25 to almost £30 since our last visit in October last year. I also noted how much smaller the portions were from the previous visits. We want to continue using this takeaway and will do but not unless the food portions go back to what they were.

Decided to order a curry so this place pops up .. Besides the menu being extensive the food was superb. We decided on a set meal costing a VERY reasonable £24 the bag came chockerblock ,2 currys and all the extras .. Definitely definitely recommend 👌

We just bought two wraps, the “mixed veg kebab wrap” it was a handful of frozen veg in a nann, straight in the bin, had to spit it out it was that inedible, absolutely gobsmacked .

We got a takeaway for New Years Eve and the food was as yummy as ever. This Indian takeaway has been our “go to” for a long time and we still can’t beat it (at home or away). So when I came on TripAdvisor to write a review this morning I was so surprised to see a run of bad reviews! Our food has always tasty and the different curries taste as they should. We certainly can recommend 👍

One of the most unpleasant curry meals I have ever had the displeasure of spending money on. Cold, tastless and the order we had delivered was wrong! It took over half an our to deliver the correct food and the man on the phone could barely be understood.

Got food 3 hours later after putting our order in (was supposed to arrive within an hour). Phoned 3 times to see where it was, kept saying it was on its way, then said had issues with ticket machine. They did apologise but still not good enough as why they said it was on its way and it wasn’t!!! Food usually really good as always get it from here but not as good this time.

Ordered through the website. Called when the delivery was late to be told that there was no order, however order number and estimated time of delivery given. Payment taken. I was told to contact the company for payment - which is the telephone number for the business. They told me the website had been shut down but it clearly hasn’t. Avoid like the plague.

Need to ask your delivery drivers to stop being rude! I live in a top floor flat, so obviously takes me a couple of seconds to run down. Hes always moaning because I don't get down as soon as he answers! You also sent a plain nan instead of garlic, 1 poppadom instead of 2 and the food was pretty cold tbh. Worst ive ever eaten from here

Missing food from order. Called and the man couldn't speak English, just grunted at me. Garlic naan had no garlic on it. Butter chicken sauce was so pale and not the right flavour. Lamb rogan josh was so tough I had to spit it out. Terrible. Won't order again.

Curry nice & tasty. Mixed wrap was awful meat overcooked & dry, hardly any salad & sauce. Delivery said 30-50 mins ended up being over an hour.

If you want to chuck your money down the toilet then yeah, sure go here for food! We ordered takeaway in the evening , after it was an hour late we called to ask, considering they could be busy, however we received nothing but rude staff on the phone, who spoke in angry tone to us then shouted to someone in the bk ground before passing the phone to another who proceeded to tell us food was on way with driver, although not sure how they knew which order it was since I'd not given my details yet. So we proceed to wait a further hour and make another pointless phone call to find the estimated delivery time had changed by a further hour again despite it apparently being with the driver. The food eventually turned up freezing cold and full of grease. Poppadoms were soggy, chops mostly bone and kebab wrap was like rubber and as for the chips well my 5 year old could probably do better at cooking them they were wet floppy and again oily. Waste of time no money will not order again terrible customer service and food was not edible not to mention how long we waited. Very disappointed can't wait for supper with sanah to be back open that's a real Indian restaurant with real food worth paying for. wouldn't even feed to my dog never mind us. 50quid wasted! Tried to offer the seagulls even they turned their beak up at it!

Ordered at 5:30. Called at 7pm, they rudely said it was on its way and put the phone down. Called again at 7:30. Same thing happened. Called again at 8pm, phone put down on me. Food arrived cold at 8:15. Very very oily and poppudoms burnt and inedible. Very disappointing used to be great.

Ordered online and received confirmation email. Delivery was nearly an hour late, I rang them and they said the order hadn't been received. They sent the order via taxi, costing them £15. The food was hot and delicious. I would highly recommend food and customer service was excellent

Usually eat from here at least twice a month and as usual the food quality was great but both curry trays were only just above 1/2 full. In reality appeared to be 1 good portion split into 2 when i expect the trays to be full as normal. Made the meal dry, not enough sauce for the rice. Still quality food though.

Really gone down over the last few weeks sauce was very runny not as much chicken no heat after asking for vindaloo don't know what's going on this was my favourite take away I do hope it gets back to how it used to be a real shame

Placed an order online, phoned after a hour and a half wait, to be told very busy and it's on its way... Phoned again 2 hours after ordering to be told online wasn't working and to order again and request a refund from PayPal... Won't be ordering from them again....

Horrendous customer service, staff are rude unhelpful and short tempered. We ordered our food at 5pm, called at 6:30pm and again at 7pm for them to then tell us there system does not have our order. We paid and they are refusing to give us a refund until Friday which is appalling behaviour!! We will most certainly never return, if they had been more polite and understanding over the phone I may have given them a second chance. They have lost our custom and I will warn family and friends away from this business. Really disappointed. Avoid this place at all costs!!

DO NO USE. I ordered online from website. And no food arrived so I rung up and they said not to use webite as iit doesn't work and that would not be charged. That i should of used just eat. I decided not to get my food from there as i was straving. However I have been charged. I have tried to get in touch but no reply. NO FOOD SEND AND NO REFUND GIVEN.
