Shahi Spice Indian Takeaway in Bexley

Just had take away burnt black bits hair in food popodoms stale all dishis tasted like re heated old stock all gone in bin £26 quid left them alone for a while wise move shop felt cold damp Never again

We used to use this take away all the time. Haven't ordered from there for a couple of years now as became expensive. Ordered for the first time tonight. Still the same, reasonable quality, but expensive in comparison with the local area. Usually, if I spend £30 on a curry poppadum's and chutneys are thrown in as a freebee. Not here, they will charge for them. Food was reasonable but not worth the extra cost, better value take aways are out there.

The meal was very tasty but arrived late it was our first order so would think twice about ordering again also no salad poppadoms or dips included in our meal as with every other restaurant in the area

Had our second lockdown delivery from Shahi and as usual food was excellent. I'm not a big hot curry or too spicy fan so go for the Chicken Tikka with Masala sauce on the side along with a section of sides, rice and bread. Ordered through their website it states a delivery time of 45 mins but on both occasions it's arrived much quicker. It's always been very hot and fresh and never lacks flavour. Contactless and safe delivery.

This is by far the best Indian around .. we have a delivery every Friday and I wouldn’t go anywhere else ever again, top quality dishes full of meat and flavour, cooked to my specification, delivered with a smile and always on time

I moved 300 miles away last summer and have really missed shahi spice - I came back for a visit and just had to have one whilst here -it was really worth it - we phoned it through , collected in stated time ,and the guy even helped us carry it to the car ( rather large order!). It was spectacular , tasty and beautifully prepared - every one thoroughly enjoyed it and I can’t recommend it enough 😀

Used this restaurant for the 1st time on 4/4/2020 and will definitely use again. Food arrived on time and did not disappoint. We like a vindaloo and this was lovely, hot and spicy. Curry portions were bigger than normal, we ordered one each but probably could have got away with one between us. Chicken was tasty and tender. Would highly recommend this establishment.

My food arrived in good time and it was all delicious and hot. Delivered to my doorstop due to the coronavirus situation. The website had clear details on how it was dealing with the pandemic which was useful.

We were getting bored of eating average food from all the local Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in the area. Recently a friend suggested Shahi Spice which must be the only one we had not tried. A takeaway was ordered but we will dine there as well in the future. They answered the phone promptly and took our order without any issues. Food arrived, piping hot, in 35 minutes as promised. Every container is labelled with its contents. Nice touch. No half full containers either. All dishes were excellent. The room fell quiet as everyone enjoyed their meal. Just a little left to be enjoyed for lunch the next day. Well done Shahi Soice. Wish we had found you before.

Never had a bad meal from Shahi Great food, quick service and the App works well Favourites are the Lamb Rendang, Meat samosas, King prawn butterfly and the aubergine bhajee Great flavoursome cooking

this is my local Indian takeaway as i live on the pantiles across the road :) Always tasty and fresh, quick collection times from 15 minutes. I like that each dish is individually labelled with their logo etc rather than just written on the container lid with a marker like some places. Portion sizes are decent. Staff are very friendly and i'll always chat with them if i have to wait for my order to come out. Thanks guys

Used to use them but I don’t think I will anymore. Rice was congealed and poppadoms shattered to smitherens Very disappointing

The food here is full of flavour and the portion size is even better. Customer service is always on point. Definitely a friday favourite. I Recommended trying the saag king prawn or chicken dish.

Just ordered a curry for the boys and was blown away by the quality of the food, definitely worth the money .chicken jalfrezi was flavourfull and had just the right amount of kick . Was delivered in just over 30 mins and food arrived piping hot. Would definitely recommend

Extremely impressed by the high quality of food served at this takeaway. Very authentic and delicious food , we always love ordering from here. The price fully justifies the quality of the food, you wont get this sort of service and food elsewhere.Cant wait till my next lamb biryani...

Useless takeaway, second time they forgot an item off my order. Was waiting a further 30 mins on top of the hour delivery time. It took to complete our order. By this time the food was stone cold. Spoke to the manger about this to put this right but eventually he cut me off as he didn’t want to know. A very poor and rude customer service quick to take your money and not to provide a good service. Avoid at all costs.

Received email offering 10%, was going to order so thought that’s handy , Delivery arrived along with an email saying 10% not valid, not very good ? Not impressed, my last order was a collection and we waited 45 mins and food cold time. Was impressed with this place but last few times the experience hasn’t been great

If your looking for a good quality indian,reasonably price.look no further!!! Had another takeaway from here boxing day. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the food is always great, with more than enough meat in your curry, unlike other places. I would highly recommend the garlic chilli masala and the lamb kariah. Lamb was really tender and enough to feed two. Try this place you will not be disappointed.

Love this place in my opinion the best Indian takeaway locally , plenty of choice and every dish we have tried has always been very nice. Friendly service and the choice of ordering online and monitoring the progress of your order. Definitely worth a try

Very expensive for poor quality food ,will not be eating here again .The same meal at any other take away is £25-£28 at the shahi £42.00 .even the chapati is £2.65 each .Better quality Indian cuisine from Asda and that's saying something .

Not much to say really. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was delivered quite quickly and the delivery driver was polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend Shahi Spice.

I have used this take away for about 15 years and food is always very good had it last time as a new year eve treat and was very disappointed i couldnt eat it the prawn puree had no flavour and the chicken in my dupiaza didnt even taste like chicken it was very tough and had a weird texture dunno if it had been frozen n not defrosted properly before cooking what a let down

Hemos tenido tres comidas diferentes de Shahi Spice y jajaja nos traían a plazos, muy cortés. Fácil de ordenar en línea. La comida? Excelente en cada ocasión, todas las cajas están marcadas por lo que es fácil recordar lo que pedimos y me dan lo que pedí sin ser tomado! ! ! Esta es una delicia y una verdadera joya, gracias.

No hemos pedido de Shahi durante algún tiempo y me apetecía un curry llevar. Pedimos Passanda Nawabi, Green Masala y - todo muy bien cocinado Kadhai y muy sabroso!

Just love this place. The food is very nice and not greasy which is great. I have tried many indian takeaways and have only been happy with Shahi. Service is great and portion size is good.

I've used this place a couple of times and every single time I have had problems with the delivery service I understand that when you order for the first time you might struggle to find sunwhere so full understand having to direct a driver but what I don't expect after spending £25 on food is to have to leave my flat walk downstairs to collect the food as the driver can't walk far and won't get into a lift especially when I tell them I'm on crutches after on op hence the delivery not collection that was the first bad experience but I thought food was ok I will get another takeaway can't be as bad .....Last night I ordered sum food for my self and gf and was told there was a 40 min wait no probs as it was only 8pm didn't mind the wait.At 920 pm the delivery driver calls to say he's outside can I come down !!!! Again I tell him no I can't so he then parks up and after another 10 minutes of phone calls to him he finnaly manages to buzz the right buzzer and find his way to me , by now it's been 90 minutes since I made my order there was no sorry or apologies by him so I asked why it had taken so long ?" two men mugged me for the food , I came here 40 mins ago parked out the back (which by the way is directly under my balcony which I can see and hear anything as my patio doors where open )And they snatched the food and run off Puzzled by this I rang the Resturant and this is what I was told again only this time the food was stolen as he walked in to the building ???It's all lies there was no robbery just simply a terrible delivery service and lying Resturant staff. I will never ever use this place again and I urge no body to if they can lie so easy about that imagine what else they do ??

Very nice indeed, first time for us, got a menu through the door and thought "let's give it a go ", not disappointed at all, delivery was well within the 40 mins they quoted and the food was well presented in generous portions and tasted bloody lovely .... All of it, was really tasty and well cooked, chicken was moist and plentiful and the samosa was crispy and fresh . The popadoms were thin and crispy , just how we like them, thank you Shahi, we will be re ordering soon

Just had a takeaway from shahi spice Indian - rang and asked for a prawn masala and they apologised that they don't do this but recommended I try jinga prawn masala - it was beautiful,tasty,spicy,huge succulent king prawns in it and well presented.delivery was within the time stated and the courier was polite and friendly---I'll never order anything else from now on and I won't order from anywhere else either

Used Shahi spice the other night for the first time in ages. Good to see they have improved hygiene with a 4 on the scores on the doors. Order was made up quickly and was fresh. Nice meal for the family.

The food here is always fresh and full of flavor, love the varieties this takeaway offers. the staff here are always welcoming and friendly, whether it is a delivery or a collection, the service is always outstanding. This is by far the best Indian takeaway in the area and i would recommend everyone to try it. : )

Visited tonight, tried to open the door it was closed. There was a member of staff vacuuming the floor. He opened up and said they were serving.Ordered my food and told it would be ten minutes (normally takes 20-25) was told when my order came out I was given an extra poppadom, how nice. When I arrived home the poppadoms were burnt, the Chicken Dansak was the strangest Chicken Dansak I've never eaten. Seems to me they just wanted to make a extra £10 off someone before the end of the night. Been visiting this takeaway regularly for years. NEVER AGAIN

Have used this take a way before and have always had a good meal but tonight it was very disappointing. The starter was not cooked and main courses were stodgy and tasteless. Will not be ordering again from this take a way.

Good service great food and a useful App for online ordering as well. Used this place many times not been let down yet.

Had many a take away from Shahi spice. The staff are always friendly, the food is nicely cooked, piping hot and reasonably priced. If ordering for delivery they arrive when they say they will, and if collecting the meal is usually ready in about 20 minutes (on Fridays and Saturdays)Havent found an indian takeaway in Bexleyheath to beat it yet!

Shahi Spice is a take away restaurant that I found a couple of years ago. The food from there is exceptional. We always try different meals and my daughter and friends now use this take away service. The drivers are always polite. The meals are always delivered when they say they will be. The Chicken Shashlick is one of my favourite along with the Lamb Madras.
