Sgt Bun bakery in Weymouth and Portland

This is an absolute must visit when in Weymouth, the best bakery by far in Dorset and I have tried most. Alway visit each morning when on holiday and never been without a que. Beautiful cakes and buns made with care and love. Served with cheer. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. See you next holidays.

Great fresh made sandwiches and yummy buns. When we holiday in Weymouth a visit to Sgt Bun is a must and we are never disappointed. Friendly service, great food and excellent prices, thank you.

Sgt Bun Bakery Val is such a friendly lovely lady who runs a fantastic bakery in Weymouth, since 1967. We discovered the food delights on holiday and had to visit more than once of course! Amazing sausage rolls, traditional pasties and HUGE delicious cakes 💕 Cannot recommend more highly this traditional bakery if you are near Weymouth. Thanks Val x

Lovely fresh made sandwiches on lovely bread cakes. We always go here for our pack up at least twice while on holiday in the area. Great value too. Served by a lovely young lady this year. And the buns are really yummy, can't wait to go back.

I brought what I would have thought was fresh tarts but I was a bit disappointed to have known they were not fresh. To my surprise they were actually stale and out of date. Really disappointed as I love them

The bed is made on premises and so lovely and fresh and the apple turnovers are a treat to eat and the rolls are really good and you get a nice filling and always get smiling happy staff

Our local bakery, great bread, rolls, cakes and savouries. They also do filled rolls which are great especially with a pasty or steak and kidney pie! We also get our eggs from there, best eggs we have had. Always great service.

Came across this little bakery, the lady inside ever so friendly and very kindly made up sandwiches and helped us put together a little picnic with coffee. As our visit was about 1.30pm from what we saw the cakes looked devine. Definitely will be back for our next picnic while we are visiting. Thank you for the picnic spot recommendation.

We purchased 2 breakfast pasties, upon leaving the bakery we realised they were cold so popped back in to have then heated up. By the time we got to the car the pasties were wet and the packaging was soaking. The pasty itself looked very sad, as if it had been burnt when cooked, hours previous to our purchase, but left so long it lost shape and felt and tasted greasy. We gave them a go but could not eat more than a few bites as the sausage was eneamic and the bacon was like a slab of ham plus that was all that was included inside the pasty! Didnt have the time to go back again as the parking is awkward so threw them in the bin at the garage round the corner. We won't be going back!

A nice little bakery, good if you don't want to go into the centre of town, a little more expensive than the crusty cob in centre of Weymouth, but very good quality homity pies.

Just had the most amazing fresh cream filled doughnut. The doughnut was sweet, fresh and large. Filled to the brim with fresh cream and a layer of jam to make the perfect afternoon treat. I have now declared, if I cant have a Sgt Bun's cake, I'm just not going to bother.

The bread made here is delicious, but you need to get there early, as they sell out quickly. Highly recommended.

Brilliant bakery on route for so many people to pick up their feast for the day. Such a variety of rolls filled or not, followed by pastries and cakes to suit all! Plus really nice staff to help brighten your day!

I Live near here. they have a large selection of cakes which is great for my sweet tooth, freshly made sandwiches and bread. I Try to not go to often because the cakes are so nice and I'm trying to watch my Weight.

Sgt Bun the best bakery in the town .It been the same for years but when you are the best around why change anything.Birthday cakes to order fab a family tradition in our house for the last 11 years.

So many cakes and buns, its hard to make up your mind of what to have and the bee stings and Belgium buns are out of this world The staff and great and very helpful

Todo sobre esta panadería es de primera categoría.Me he comprado un montón de veces de esta panadería. Las tartas caseras, pan, pasteles, bollos, son maravillosos. Nunca he tenido nada de lo que quejarse.Me comentó algún día volver al propietario lo agradable todos los rellenos estaban por las tartas. Él contestó " nunca poner nada en mi tartas no comer yo"encantador personal, buena relación calidad-precio, impecablemente limpio, bien hecho y gracias.

Exceptionally nice bread. The Belgian buns are to die for. Many local restaurants get there bread from here.

Great bread and cakes and sandwiches made to order. Always huge, especially the Belgian buns but don't go there if you want to lose weight - just too tempting!
