First time using, ordered veg vermachelli and special with meat arrived. Spicing was poor and dishes were dry like there was a sauce shortage. Singapore rice was like it had been put through an industrial masher, don’t not eat here worst take away iv had

We regularly use the home delivery service; yes, there’s sometimes a bit of a wait, but usually if they say 45mins it’s delivered in 30 so no complaints! Warning: if you use Just Eat or another similar service, you could wait ages. Best to call the restaurant directly. Very polite, fair prices, delicious food and plenty of it...very happy with their service!

I have few complaints about the quality of the actual ingredients. However, why does everything have to be swamped with sugar? Let the ingredients do their work, giving individual tastes their due. Surely that's the whole point of Chinese food. The British don't like this saccharin approach to cooking Chinese food so, come on, give us credit. We are far more ambitious in our tastes than you think! Finally, we are not fooled by padding our our meals with too much onion!

Poped in for a takeaway on sat night the inside is awful almost walked out the seating area is scruffy and the back area seating was covered in newspapers and lap tops If I did not live the other side of Plymouth i would have returned the food, overcooked burnt tasting fried rice, a sloppy greasy pancake roll that I can only describe as wet handkerchief and chicken balls burnt in batter and an insipid sauce, the whole place is Dump!! we though it was taken over and would be better than seows the previous owners as they were bad enough but IT IS WORSE!!! Don't waste you money go elsewhere DREADFULL!!!

We placed a large takeaway order for delivery last night and told the wait would be 1 hour, 20 mins. After waiting almost 2 hours, I rang only to be told there had been a mistake and they hadn't even started cooking! This isn't the first time we have been let down but it will certainly be the last time.

Decided to try this take-away for a change a couple of weeks ago. The young man serving was very friendly and helpful. Did not have to wait too long for food but it was early evening mid-week. Sweet and Sour Chicken was very nice but the Prawn Chow Mein lacked Prawns and was bulked out with vegetables. The beef was a little tough in the Beef and Black Bean Sauce and the prawn crackers were fairly average. Have had better Chinese food.

Can't tell whether the change of name necessarily, means a change of ownership but I think so. Still an essential sit down evening eating option in Plymstock.

This is the second time we have used them for takeaway as our normal one in Hooe is currently closed. We were impressed the first time and the standard stayed the same the second time. Meat on the specials is really thick and the delivery was well within the time they told us on the phone.

Tried this place for the first time tonite, had the standard play it safe meal ( salt and Pepper chicken curry sauce fried rice mixed meat curry bbq spare ribs and prawn crackers)Prawn crackers yellow in colour and tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil . Salt and pepper chicken very chewy and over cooked. Bbq spare ribs over cooked and half were very dry. All in all very poor now seem to be spending the rest of the evening in the bathroom. Maybe a off night as the place was dead so maybe they sent there chef home

We have visited this establishment for take away almost weekly since they opened a couple of months ago. On one occasion we ate in the restaurant. The quality of food was second to none. Service was very good and the value for money was excellent. The owners previously owned Wah Tin on North Hill.

On New Year’s Day our normal choice for Chinese was closed so we decided to use baba wok . Unfortunately this was a bad decision. We paid around £9 for a crispy chilli beef dish . Not only was it extremely soggy with nothing remotely crispy about it! the container contents wasn’t even enough for one person ! It’s almost like they put a little in the container and forgot to dish up the rest ! The amount of chilli was virtually unbearable! The chips were cold and the nasi goreng tasted awful . The Pad Thai was ok but nothing to make us ever want to order again ! Overpriced, terrible portions!

Really good food, and usually good to time as well. Just be wary of ordering via Kukd; tends to not work when it comes to the payment screen. Order either direct or via just-eat and you'll be sound.

These reviews are fake or long out of date, new situation: The current people are scammers. THREE times they've taken money from me and delivered nothing. Do not order from here or you'll go hungry and waste HOURS with your bank fraud department, good luck!

Good pub food at a very reasonable price. Excellent service and a nice welcome on entry. Atmosphere lacking due to the low number of customers in a large premises. I would recommend and will going back soon.

An otherwise good meal on Saturday was overshaded by a nasty surprise when the bill arrived – Eastern Eye’s prices do not include VAT. Their flier makes no mention of this, so it was a bit of a shock to see my bill jump from £133 to £176 by the time the 20% VAT and my 10% service charge was added. I’m not even sure this is allowed: the Advertising Standards Agency say “If customers are consumers, all prices quoted in ads should include VAT in the stated price”. Eastern Eye already markets fairly expensive curries for Plymouth. Our £176 meal for four people was the following: 4 papadums, no starters, 1 biryani, 3 curries, 2 sides, 2 rice, 1 naan, 3 large beer and one glass of red. The food quality is good but that’s a bit irrelevant – I just feel ripped off.
