Dined in. Food was fresh and very tasty. Not one complaint from my wife or children. Good choice of menu.

Nasi Goreng and Chicken Satay being my firm favourites here doesn’t take away from the fact that everything else I’ve tried has been delicious! My favourite place to dine v.cool atmosphere and warm welcome!

Delicious food and amazing customer service!

Not sure what part of Thailand they claim the red duck curry is from, it is awful. Should have some form of red Thai paste, pineapple, cherry tomatoes. Instead...watery coconut milk green beans and garden peas? Weird. The pad Thai tastes like chicken chow mein and the satay chicken was unbelievably salty (lay off the soy sauce!) Avoid. First and last time at this place!

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is great too. I had the nasi goreng, wings and spring rolls and they were all so good, would definitely recommend.

Would not get a take away from BaBa Wok again. Satay was really salty and didn't taste good, barley any squid and container was barely a third full. Taste and flavour overall was lacking. Gave me a bag of free prawn crackers and I thought that was nice... until I ate some! Stale, not crispy and probably a day old.

Ordered online from a kebab place, drove round looking for the shop to collect my order, couldn’t find so had to give up as also couldn’t find a contact number. Someone then rings me 11pm to see if collecting order as they closing soon, I told them i had been driving round but I couldn’t find and he says they in Baba wok!! No mention of this on the ordering site, no contact number! No food and no refund!! *Reply to your message* It was ordered under a different business name to yours but the same address and The person who phoned told me about my ordered said they are inside baba wok. Apologies if this is nothing to do with ‘Baba Wok’ but they clearly stated they was inside and using your address so I’d be worried what your business is being linked with.

Good Asian street food. They'll take your order while you wait in the pub next door. Good potions of food cooked fresh to order. You can eat in or take away. Tables of 6 are decorated in a strong black and white eastern vibe. Hip hop on the speakers. This is worth a stop for some Eastern fusion food on the way to or from a night out with your mates.

Staff was polite. Food was quite tasty. Menus are also very large in size so for people with bad eyesight definitely a positive. Definitely a place to try out

Overcharged our friend for chips - I had to ask for the change Ordered a set menu, prices stated £11.50 a head but we were charged £28. I queried this and was told they could put prices up as and when! I was also told we were lucky they were serving us as they were closing. But they continued to serve others who came in 5 minutes after us. Whilst food was tasty, the prawn dish contained 3 prawns and the dish was not even half full. I’ve never had such poor portions from Any takeaway I have been to. Menu states portion is ‘for 2 or more’ but as can be seen from the photos, that was no way the case. Based on service and portion size I will not be returning.

Had a special curry last night, was not very nice. I called and asked for it to be spicy and it wasn't. Also the curry was more like a gravy was quite dark and was not like a normal Chinese curry tasted weird. Not very nice at all. The noodles were a bit bland and chips soggy. Spring rolls were OK.

It came over 10 minutes late and honestly wasn't worth the wait. Tiny portions of the mains, and just all lacking flavour to be honest. I wouldn't order again.

Never one to leave a bad review but that shows the extent of this, has an order tonight which was of such poor quality - salt and chilli everything and it couldn’t have been more bland. The most bland salt and chilli product ever ordered from anywhere, took ages to come and was cold when arrived also. Only positive is delivery driver was lovely!

Meal for 2. £23 on menu in window. £28 when you order it. I should have walked away then. One of the worst all takeaways I’ve ever experienced. Spring rolls almost all batter or dough. Aromatic crispy duck was lots of cubes of tasteless meat, special fried rice was awful, picked out a few prawns and threw the rest away. Beef and mushrooms were ok, as was the prawn toast. I will not return and certainly don’t recommend it. An awful waste of £28.

Lovely authentic food. The portions are good and flavor was fantastic, definitely blows the average Chinese takeaway out the water. We also ordered the chicken special mee goreng, and they added additional prawns for free which we really appreciated x Delivery man was also super nice as well, bonus points!

Prices aren't accurate so you feel a little conned before food has been served otherwise good place for quick tasty food!

As a regular via takeaway, food is of great authenticity and flavour. UNFORTUNATELY this is let down by the customer service I was served on eating in. After providing my order that prices to eat in are higher but they did not have a menu to prove the new prices or provide this as they have "over 4000 menus to get rid of", and the old menus contain only take out prices. But as per Trading Standards, this is disingenuous and misleading which is illegal practice (odd for any restaurant to behave in this way). The server then told me the prices are 10% higher to eat in. When questioning this, he then proceeded to speak quickly to repeatedly say he has to charge higher (no reasons given despite the fact if I ordered takeaway it would be the cheaper price), stumble over words and state he had 'never had a problem before' and 'there's a sign outside' stating this (no mention of this on the menu, but you can see yourself the attached 'sign' which is unclear, vague, smaller than my wallet and faded away). On reviewing my order with him, the price of one item was up 30% and the other was 15.9%, and the final item in fact had not increased in price at all - again not fitting with what he told me. Furthermore on serving our food, one item had missing ingredients which the the same server then made excuses about another staff member, and then transpired they 'ran out' of this ingredient. On leaving we said thank you but the server kept his back to us. Who knows - repeated excuses made make it difficult to make up this lack of trust. It's a shame this type of behaviour exists and I hope the owner can compensate us for this behaviour and addresses the staff member, particularly during a holy month of fasting. Trading Standards may need to be informed if this practice continues on my next visit.

Have eaten early tea at 'Baba Wok' and had delivery for a later meal too. Excellent value - we have healthg appetites and like to share! - and so freshly cooked - loads of options for vegetarians and vegans - will be eati g from here on a regular basis. Derek the driver is a gem 🙂

Craving for a Malaysian/asian dish when you are in Plymouth? Then this place can satisfy your taste buds. I would recommend Mee Goreng either with rosted duck or beef and their Nasi Goreng. Portion was lush and delicious!

The food here is outstanding. Fingers crossed their business takes off and they get to move to a fully licensed restaurant.

Came here for some halal oriental food, I wasn't let down. It was served quickly and tasted great. We was given recommendations of popular dishes that went down well. The food options are so big we wanted a bit of everything. Loved the prawn tom yum soup and the sweet fire chicken. Food cost didn't break the bank and definitely would visit again! As a mixed veggie / non-veggie household, this is one of the few places in Plymouth we've found that has great options for both of us. Really tasty food every time we order.

I waited more than 2 HOURS for the food to arrive!! I ordered a very simple meal so I really don't understand why it took 2 hours for that to be prepared. I called them before ordering and they did not say anything about a delay, and called them again after waiting an HOUR AND A HALF and it sounded like they had not even prepared the food and said to wait another 30 mins until delivery. Absolute terrible delivery service, would only recommend if you like to wait 2 hours + for food! No apologies when delivering the food, very very bad service! will never order from here again and will not recommend this place to anyone!

We’ve used baba wok a few times because the food itself tastes great however the service and portions etc is not good. We spent over £50 tonight on a family meal and it was 2hrs before we got delivery.. and the spicy chips were a joke. I basically had some chips, carrot and onion. Sort it out baba wok if you want to keep customers. £50 is expensive for a takeaway and if I went to a restaurant and paid that I would expect so much more. Incredibly dissatisfied

We ordered our food at 9:20pm and didn’t get our food till 11:40pm. We had only ordered a handful of items and it took them this long. There explanation was that other orders came so they prioritised them before us. That makes no sense. Not apologetic when you actually do finally get through as the line was busy. Had no solution and was quiet rude. If they had told us that the food would take this long then we would’ve cancelled and ordered somewhere else. Portions are tiny for the amount you spend. Not all dishes comes with rice or noodles. Food tasted good but the experience was a let down. Would not recommend at all!

Absolutamente lívido con este lugar y con súper comidas. Hizo el pedido a las 5. 45.A las 7 . 15 todavía estamos esperando. No me dijeron que tomaría mucho tiempo porque están ocupados. Por lo general, los lugares te avisarán si pasará más de una hora. La aplicación me decía 6. 45 al principio, lo cual fue largo pero casi vivible. Esto simplemente lo lleva al siguiente nivel. Tengo una hija que necesita irse a la cama y esta también fue su cena. Además, para colmo de males, el súper conductor está haciendo otra entrega antes que la mía. Nunca más ordenaré desde aquí. Primera y última vez.

Absolutely livid with this place and with uber eats. Placed the order at 5.45. At 7.30 it finally arrived. Was not told it would take a long time because they are busy. Usually places will give you a heads up if it will be over an hour. App was telling me 6.45 at first which was long but just about live withable. This just takes it to next level amd the time just kept going up. I have a daughter who needs to go to bed and this was her dinner too. It wasnt even very good after the long wait. I was fuming with the delivery driver as he wasnt responding and he had another delivery to make before mine! But apparently this was down to the restaurant adding someone elses order on and him having to wait,then deliver that too. Poor bloke looked terrified when i answered the door so i could hardly say anything to him. Utter p1ss poor service. First and last time.

En primer lugar, los precios que se muestran en el menú son incorrectos (los precios han subido). En segundo lugar, y lo que es más importante, si está buscando auténticos sabores chinos, me temo que se sentirá muy decepcionado. Si bien había una buena cantidad de carne y verduras, la salsa era fina y sin sabor. Si cerraba los ojos, el sabor era similar al de los paquetes que se obtienen con los fideos instantáneos secos. La salsa, que debería haber unido todo el plato, era realmente desagradable. Tanto es así que lo tiré.

No desperdicies tu dinero. La comida sabía a plástico y en un plato de carne estaba llena de tofu. Realmente es ridículo cuánto cobran por su comida. El lugar se ha ido cuesta abajo, lo cual es realmente triste, ya que solía ser realmente bueno. No malgastes tu dinero en esta comida porque te decepcionará mucho.

La comida para llevar de la familia el sábado por la noche entregada en casa fue realmente pobre, plato por plato El 20% de las galletas de gambas eran sólidas y no comestibles, afortunadamente eran gratisHaloumi a la parrilla era como se anunciaba y sabía bien, pero nunca he tenido una porción más pequeña, era justo por el precio.Pollo crujiente al curry japonés con fideos udon: en el mejor de los casos, los fideos estaban bien, el "pollo crujiente dorado" tenía la textura de fruta podrida esponjosa y el sabor no era mucho mejor, en el mejor de los casos sabía a harina y estaba tan cerca de ser crujiente como un papel rizzla húmedo.Pad Thai: este plato era apenas pasable, el sabor era razonable, cero esfuerzo en la apariencia.Bolas de pollo agridulces: Dios mío, incluso lograron equivocarse, la masa estaba completamente cruda y todavía empapada.Con todo, si puede comer con los ojos cerrados y las papilas gustativas apagadas, entonces esta es la comida para llevar.

Very disappointing, I ordered a meal whi h was accepted payment taken and then was rejected.. I called the restaurant to ask why, perhaps they were closed... no they just rejected it but I could re-order over the phone ! Hmmm . Very poor customer service and wont be recommending it or attempting to order from here again.

Pasé varias veces por este lugar y siempre había gente sentada allí, así que en un ajetreado sábado por la noche, cuando otros lugares estaban llenos, decidimos probarlo. Es una comida asiática de estilo callejero donde puedes sentarte o para llevar. La comida es muy buena y un buen precio por la cantidad que obtienes. Puedes ver la comida recién hecha a pedido y los dos muchachos que trabajan allí fueron muy amables y trabajaron duro para preparar bien nuestra comida. Decidimos comer y las porciones del menú fijo eran geniales y la comida sabía muy bien. No tenía quejas alguna vez. Sin duda volveremos y recomendaremos a los lugareños.

Fui llevado por amigos después de nuestra noche de fiesta. No esperaba estar tan impresionado como estaba.Yo diría que es un restaurante de comida callejera más tipo, sin embargo, la comida habla todo. Había algunos de nosotros, así que había una amplia selección de platos que pedimos. Mientras comíamos al estilo familiar, probé muchos platos. Todos ellos tenían profundidad de sabor y especias que hacían que la comida fuera una delicia. A pesar de que habíamos pedido una buena cantidad, volvimos por otra porción de sal y pimienta (son muy recomendables).El personal era muy amable y disfrutaba de reírse con sus clientes.Esperemos que les vaya bien y si la gente se da cuenta de lo buena que es la comida, pronto buscarán un lugar más grande o un segundo restaurante.Es bueno probar un nuevo lugar de comida que haga que la lista vuelva a aparecer pronto.Lo siento, no hay muchas fotos, la comida se cayó tan rápido.

Na een dag vol activiteiten wilden wij eenvoudig dineren niet te ver van ons hotel. WIj kwamen bij Babawok terecht; een afhaalcentrum met een aantal tafels en zitplaatsen om te eten. Wij bestelden vegetarische gerechten; een (hete) soep, Thaise mie Veggie and Tofu, vegetarische fried rice en mini vegetarische Spring Rolls. Wij vonden het lekker en hoefden niet lang te wachten.

Found this place whilst exploring Plymouth. The atmosphere is brilliant the workers are very polite and helpful. The food was amazing large portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Will highly recommend this place. Will be visiting again if I'm ever back in Plymouth.

Anteriormente solo había comida para llevar. Pero a la hora del almuerzo se comercia constantemente, no solo para los trabajadores de la vasta obra del cine sino también para las oficinas cercanas y el puerto deportivo. Comida cocinada a pocos metros de las mesas. El personal es agradable. Aparcamiento lamentable. No es mala comida o valor.

We were super indecisive and asked like 100 question but staff were very patient and happy to answer them all! Patient explained which options could be made vegan and then was very attentive as needed during eating. Food was delicious and heft portions for the value and also speedy service. Definitely not your average greasy bland kind of takeaway - very hearty and flavoursome! Only mildly annoying thing is that they're cash only - but defo worth the trip across the street to the cash point - a hidden gem :)

Great service and great choice of food. The ambience is nice and the food is fast. Staff is super friendly and warm! If you are craving for Oriental cuisine in Plymouth, this is the spot to go. They have a variety of Thai, Asian and Fusion dishes along with mouthwatering sides. Location is just minutes away from the Barbican. Portions are quite bulky providing a lot of value for money and it's always very filling. Nasi Goreng was my favourite rice dish cause I love my spices. I've also tried the Mee goreng, Pad Thai Special and also the Thai green curry chicken which I really enjoyed. Overall, if you are looking for some fast, Oriental food experience at a reasonable price in Plymouth - This is the place to go!

An impromptu drop into this new restaurant was a delightful treat for the taste buds.What was going to be a quick lunch snack was so so much more and lovely to be able to sit down and watch you food being cooked.The Pad Thai was amazing and the rest of the menu looked fantastic.A great value lunch with friendly staff , that are keen to please.

Very nice Food indeed. Had delivery. Cannot fault it. I would call it authentic Indo food. Rendang could’ve been a bit more tender but that would be my only criticism. I cannot wait to eat here again!

We collected a ‘phoned order. Parking around here is no fun. A Nasi Lemak chicken, King Prawn stir fry noodles and a portion each of vegetarian and Vietnamese spring rolls. Told when it would be ready and it was - about £20 the lot which is reasonable. Just before leaving I was told that normally there would be 6 prawns but they only had 4 so they’d already put some chicken in on top with it. No good for us and time constraints made waiting for another meal impossible. Just as well we’d ordered the rolls. The Nasi Lemak was new to us, the chicken a little tricky to tackle, cooked including the bones in a hardish block but it could be broken down and was very tasty. Not sure the okra added anything. Pleasant fresh setting. Welcoming polite staff. In this neck of the woods maybe they should stay open a bit later at the end of the week once they’re better known. You can also eat in. We may well come back.
