Sentinel Brewhouse in Sheffield

So I bought a voucher for my dad for his birthday and even though the new owners are from the same circle as the old ones they have said they won’t honour the money spent. After talking to them they were arrogant and rude about the whole ordeal. This is before even going to the venue. Be assured you have missed out on potential regulars as we often look for places to drink near to the station. Customer service and kindness go along way something this buisness seems to be severely lacking !

Estaba buscando un lugar con un comedor privado para un grupo de 20 a 30 personas para una fiesta de cumpleaños número 40. Me impresionó mucho el menú ofrecido y la comunicación de Alex en respuesta a mi consulta. El menú era todo Yorkshire y / o cerveza y muy bien pensado. Fue un gran valor también en 18 para 2 cursos o 22 para 3. La comida resultó ser tan buena como sonaba y se sirvió exactamente de acuerdo con nuestros pedidos previos, y les fue muy bien al servir a 26 personas a la vez. Personalmente tuve las opciones veganas que eran muy sabrosas y tenían muchos elementos diferentes. La habitación tenía un tamaño perfecto para nuestro grupo y había sido decorada con las decoraciones que proporcioné. Las cervezas y otras bebidas eran buenas y toda la noche fue un gran éxito, disfrutado por todos, incluido el cumpleañero. Tuvimos un gran servicio en la noche y también antes del evento en respuesta a todas mis preguntas y solicitudes.

Gravemente decepcionado con los nuevos dueños de Sentinel. Compré vales para la gira de la cervecería y la comida, y me acaban de decir que no están siendo honrados a pesar de tener un servicio muy similar. ¡Es una forma de garantizar que no seremos clientes y habíamos esperado con ansias ir!

Un compañero y yo fuimos a tomar una copa después del partido. Mi cerveza sabía mal, mis compañeros no mucho mejor. Recuperé la mía y me dijeron que no había nada de malo en ello, ¡aunque estaban claramente afirmando que están vendiendo acciones de cuando el pub estaba cerrado! El servicio al cliente no está en evidencia aquí! No contento, no te molestes en volver.

1st time visit last weekend. To be fair the place is actually great, but the staff are lacking interest. Great selection of beers (if they have them), every one we picked was "off", so we had to settle for another choice. This put us off and will probably not return.

Visited several times with friends but recently the staff have become rather grumpy, lacking in customer service, it's like they just don't want to be there. No smiles, blank faces, almost like your bothering them to get a drink.

This is worth the gentle 10 minute stroll from the railway station to enjoy this great brewhouse. There is seating outside if the sun is shining and they make their own ice-cream including an interesting rhubarb sour flavour. On the food side we loved the pork and black pudding scotch egg with their own brown sauce and my wife loved her eton mess. On the drinks side there is an excellent selection of both real and craft ales . We really enjoyed the Stout with orange. Also good selection of gins.

I used to go to The Royal Standard across the road as it was down the street from me but this place is just round the corner and is far nicer! Love the decor inside and lovely staff members. Great little beer garden for when the sun is shining and good choice of alcohol - love the mango cider!

Liked this place from the off- the bar staff were friendly and the beer selection was great. Am a huge fan of Czech pilsner so very pleased that they make one- it was delicious. Always such a treat to be able to drink a beer metres from where it is made. Sat and watched a World Cup 2018 match on a big screen, a really interesting experience drinking it next to the brewery taps. Looks like they have decent food too, would be interested in trying the cheeseboard some time...

Booked a brewhouse tour and attended on Sunday afternoon. Had a brilliant guide with James , who certainly knew his stuff and took us through the brew house and then into the meeting room to taste the range of different brews , and discuss all aspects of world beers and lagers . Would highly recommend this tour , had a very informative time , well worth a visit

Went here recently for the brewery tour and from start to finish it was extremely enjoyable. Starts with a chat about the beers and equipment used. Then a chance to try some of the beers which were very nice! Followed by an excellent buffet which we all enjoyed.

We came to Sheffield to visit our student son and tasked him with sorting out places to eat. We came to Sentinel on a Saturday lunchtime. The staff were very helpful and we tried a flight of beers to help us decide what we wanted to drink. The choice and quality of beers is excellent. Food is superb. Great choice of dishes and we opted to order several and share. Of note we're the onion bhaji batter cod gougons and the scotch egg. We shared a sweet and a cheese board later which was also really good. Great visit - good call son! - Highly recommended.

I'm in Sheffield once a month and have a night out with the lads. We've started going to the sentinel brew house. It's a pub that's easy to miss but once been it wont be forgotten. The staff are very friendly. The beer is brewed on site and is superb. Prices are very good. There is a range of beers with real ale and craft keg. Food is truly superb. The sentinel is one of Sheffields best bars. Give it a go I guarantee you won't be disappointed
