Senor Ceviche in City of London, Westminster

My first visit at Señor Ceviche and probably not my last. Amazing food and drinks. My friends and I ordered the tasting menu which offered a bit of everything and for £34 I thought it was great value for money. Everything tasted delicious. Their chilli Pisco Sour cocktail was also very good. Overall a great night out. Will definitely come back.

Overpriced food and not good service. We were sat next to an open window with cold weather outside, I closed the window and shortly after it was open again. I had to ask for them to close it. They added 12.5% service charge to the bill to already pricey items. The manager told me she wouldn’t serve me food due to food allergy although I didn’t order food related to my allergy. Was an awkward experience.

Amazing find. We were treated beautifully by Nina who helped us choose our food and drinks. She was attentive and joyful. We chose the tasting menu andvevery birexwas delicious and perfect portion sozes. The spiced pineapple sour was delicious.but wow, pork, trout, seabas,octopus,chicken, salads,fries,croquettes and to finish a dark chocolate mousse ( almost ganache) blown away x

One star for the service and one star for the atmosphere. As for the food, disappointing and overpriced for what it is. We've been here before years ago and it was fab. Tonight it was decidedly average. Pork belly dry. Ceviche flavours not balanced - overwhelmed by the crisps and onions. Pork ribs arrived cold and flavour was not special. Spinach salad had no truffle flavour and also something very hard that nearly broke a tooth! Sweet potato fries were good but a small portion. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was good. Won't be back though.

Yesterday I tried the ceviche and the other dishes at the restaurant and they seemed good to me. They have a very good base from Peru and some minimal touches that they have added to the food, but as a Peruvian and Lima native and with grandparents from Callao, I have not eaten a more authentic ceviche than yesterday's. Everything is exact, with a very clean flavor, like at home (that is, without milk). The tiradito, the chicken and the quinoa were equally spectacular. For me, I was at home yesterday and it gave me "that pleasure" and finding this place, these magicians who cooked yesterday, this food "Es lo que es " and as we say in Peru "lo justo", the waiters are very good, the waitress is very kind, very cordial and attentive. We will return.

Do yourself a favour and order the charred cabbage with burnt butter and garlic miso - a simple side dish but was a phenomenal flavour bomb. The rest of the dishes were good too!

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish! Firstly, the location was fantastic. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the team. The starters were absolutely amazing; it was a perfect blend of flavors and textures that left us eager for more. Each bite was a delight The main course, while good, didn't quite reach the same heights as the starter. It was enjoyable, but I felt it lacked the spark that made the beginning of the meal so memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this place

While quality Peruvian food is sometimes a swing and a miss for my palette, the good-time vibe and service in this place is immaculate. Each visit here is a celebration!

Had a party of 18 for my husbands birthday and was great, food was better than expected and all I can say is wow for the roast pork on the £44 party menu Que Rico wow 🤩

This hidden gem is tucked away just off from Carnaby street and it is an absolute treat! I came here for lunch and ate the Señor Ceviche and Pork Ribs. Both were completely delicious, and my mother enjoyed her food as well. Thank you to Jigar and the whole team for a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Great atmosphere, great food and drinks - definitely get the corn ribs! Went with one other person which was great but think would be great with a big group.

Was first time and being vegan wasn't sure what to expect but can't say enough good things was looked after so well even made me a vegan drink the staff restaurant and food was amazing would recommend to everyone

Came on a recent visit to London, looking for some Peruvian tapas. Service was great, staff were friendly and attentive, cow heart was delicious, as were the corn ribs, super pollo and chargrilled cabbage. It is a bit pricey for portion sizes, but it's Soho in London, so I guess that can't be avoided. Would visit again

Food was great, really tasty ceviche dishes. However, the service wasn't great. We had reserved a table for a birthday but didn't get a great service to celebrate it.

The starters were very good, especially the civic one, and we ordered meat and it ended up being a little burnt on the outside, but the ceviche, starters and campagna were excellent!

This is the best restaurant I've ever been to, now all I want is to live in London and get richer to eat there everyday. The classic Ceviche is haunting me, and the Mamacita Cocktail will make your life instently better. The music is absolutely fantastic. Great service too, they really know what they are doing. It’s good, but wouldn’t say it was great, that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars. Also, the service was slightly slow.

The taste of the dishes was really good - came here with my mum and the service was wonderful - fast. We came during rush hour so the place was incredibly loud and talking was hard The thing that left me feeling wanting was that the menu is confusing -it’s meant to be shared - so we ordered what we thought was enough to share - according to the menu they say three dishes per person. Okay done. Don’t be fooled - they’re all tiny - and we left hungry but with a bill that rivalled a full meal for two plus starters in other places. The food is tasty no doubt - but if you’re looking for a DINNER maybe order lots if you have the money - or use this as a tasty snack It wasnt obvious that this wasn’t a main course kind of place to us - But now we know. Good food Incredibly small - Peruvian tapas essentially. So gi if you’re not that hungry - but yeah - unless you want to spend stupid money for very little food go right ahead

Delicious food, especially the ceviche - prices are very fair for central london and the vibe is great (those with hearing difficulty be aware it is very noisy but that’s all part of the ambiance 😊). The manager was excellent - our waiter was either still training or very new and made several mistakes which though not major, definitely added up and could have left us really frustrated - he dealt with the situation with aplomb and even promised we’d have the same waiter next time we came (feedback about service is always intended to help improve things as opposed to getting anyone into trouble and it was clear he felt the same way!) Will be back for more ceviche, croquettes, cabbage and steak 😍

Service was wonderful, and so was the atmosphere! We just reached in the nick of time, so we got the happy hour cocktails, which were pretty amazing! The best thing we ever ate were the quinoa croquettes. My god, I will go here and order like three of them and eat them all up! Then came the chicken, the steak, the pork belly that were nice. The Jerusalem artichoke was decent. The tuna cevice was a bit of a cop out really, very disappointed that they served us mostly sea bass and a microscopic piece of tuna, and that was the dish that was stated as life changing Well, it wasn't. The spinach salad was ok. Tiny slivers of mushrooms and all.

I can't be disappointed with what I ordered, ceviche, chichamorada, a Cuzco beer, I liked it. But not finding a rice with chicken, a papa ala huancaína, something so basic, disappointed and even more so with the menu that is not at all Peruvian and what can we say about the music that makes the atmosphere pleasant, disappointed.

Everything I tried was flavor packed and beyond delicious! My favorite was the Rocoto Corn Ribs were my favorite.

Good place to eat. The meals are on the small size as the waiter pointed out. I Could recommend if your are not to hungry or order at least 3 dishes.

Simply divine. We are French, traveling for a few days in London, and came unexpectedly on August 14 to this amazing restaurant, where we were very cheerfully welcomed. We took 2 menus to taste all the dishes: it was really very good, especially the chicken. We have never had such well cooked chicken. The dishes are homemade, it’s delicious, And the cocktails too, We will return without hesitation

We ordered the Menu for £17 and it was really good! Very delicious preparations and in good portions.

Highly recommended You should order the classic ceviche and if you fancy the senor ceviche, for starters I recommend the elotes which are delicious, the sweet potato potatoes very good and to top it off the ribs which are spectacular. Don't forget to order a cold cusqueña.

Absolutely amazing dinner here. Every dish we ordered was incredible and the service by Zach was the best we’ve had over the last week and a half anywhere we’ve eaten in London… and we’ve been to tons of foodie spots. Ceviche, pork belly (chicharrones), pork ribs, ceviche, mushroom dish, all top notch.

It was a real pleasure to discover this place! Everything was really good, especially the Chifa Chicharrones <3 And everyone was so careful and lovely! Would love to come back again later!

One of my favourite Peruvian restaurants in London!

The staff were so nice - they really made my day. In the end, they even sent me a sweet potato puree as a gift. They are so sweet, and the food is amazing. The chia chicharrones are so good, especially with the sweet potato under the pork. I will definitely come again.

The set menu is a great way to try a bit of everything, and the cocktail happy hour is a brilliant deal! Will definitely come back for the quality of food and the fun, buzzy atmosphere.

Go for the tasting menu, but don't go for the extra cocktail pairing menu. Food is great, but cocktails are mediocre, not worth; instead wine or beer.

Literally the best food i have ever eaten. I’m not the biggest fan of spicy food, because it often just burns, but this tasted absolutely amazing even though it was spicy. The service and atmosphere was just okay/normal, nothing special about it. But the food; literally amazing. I ate there two weeks ago and I have not stopped thinking about it since.

We had a dinner here as a party of five. We came in without a reservation, so unfortuntately we had to sit on the high, bar-style tables. It was a little bit inconvenient but as we had no reservation we can't complain, the place was packed. We got the tasting menu, which included a mix of ceviche fish dishes and peruvian BBQ meat dishes. Despite being an uneven party, there were no issues with the separation of the dishes, which came in communal plates to then be split rather than singular plates for each guests. Food was great overall, the pork belly probably being the highlight. Service was fast, cordial and present. Price was fair considering the quality of the food and fish. Athmosphere was nice, bathrooms are nicely decorated and clean. Definetely reccomend.

It's one of our most favourite places to eat in London. Would highly recommend the food especially the "from Lima with Love " set course menu - 😘 the staff are welcoming. We've been going there for a no.of years to celebrate many occasions and have never been let down.

Food was flavourful and the portion sizes were very decent. My favourites were the three ceviches we ordered: señor ceviche, rainbow trout and nikkei ceviche. Service staff were friendly and attentive to my food allergy (dairy). There were many options for someone who is dairy-intolerant. Would recommend for those looking for a casual venue with a buzz.

We went there before a show in North London, so we had a limited amount of time, hence no pics of the food as we literally ate and left within 45 minutes from entering. However, the food was very good, and the service was very friendly and efficient. The rainbow trout ceviche was good, the senor ceviche was even better, as were the chicharrones and the ribs. The aubergine was nice too and the white wine we ordered, a Spanish Chardonnay, went very well with what we ordered.

The services here is good and you can tell they try and make sure you are looked after. I’d have given 5 stars for service if the waiter understood the food better. The atmosphere is to be expected for the location and ‘style’ but isn’t great. The big problem is that the food is not Peruvian, in terms of quality and heritage. Yes they sell Cerviche but otherwise we aren’t ticking any boxes. Go elsewhere to experience this wonderful cuisine! The food itself is fine for what it is but does not meet expectation.

Every single dish we tried was fantastic and well balanced—not too oily or sugary, which is usually an issue for us. Both my husband and I loved their ceviches. 👌 Highly recommended!

Food: When the food hits, the food hits hard. When the food misses, it also unfortunately does fall short of the mark a fair bit. The mushroom dish was a treat and so were both Ceviche dishes we ordered. The mushroom dish had a lot going on well with its solid textures and flavours. What missed the mark though were the beef hearts, the spinach for us. The beef heart sauce overpowers the taste of the heart itself, the spinach dish was a bit underwhelming. Service: For such a busy service on Saturday evening, very good. Our waitress was extremely attentive to our needs despite the venue being packed to the brim with people. Atmosphere: Very lively. Many many diners looked like they were enjoying themselves a lot. It was a good sight to see even if it was a bit cramped. When senor ceviche shines, it shines very brightly but when it falls short, it's unfortunately also noticeable. I'd say this is a decent place to go overall though if you are craving some ceviche.

I go to this beautiful restaurant quite often; but I been away for a while and today I went for lunch with some friends. We decided to have ‘a la carte menu’ as on the weekend many there were no many choises. I was quite surprised to see that the portions from la carte menu were quite small, we ordered different types of Chevice, chicarrones, frijoles negro, quinoa croquettes. All the portions were smaller than I remember, the food was nice but really there was very little food on our plates. The chiccarones were half size than we had a few months before! The frijoles negro were jus 2 spoons of them, and too liquid. The service was not great also, what happened to this restaurant? We left without ordering dessert, not a nice experience this time

Fantastic place for a date or meet up. Small plates designed for sharing and easy drinks specials. Roasted beef heart was amazing and the sauce made us want to take some home.

For real one of the best restaurant i went to in London, found this gem while i was waiting for another restaurant and decided to stay there. Mondays deals are amazing, everything in the food is so fresh (you absolutely have to try the chicharrones) and great cocktails with pisco. Service is good and quick, will go again if i have the chance for sure:-)

We went in the evening for the tasting menu which was a very disappointing. All dishes are to share and left us a bit hungry. It is a bit unfair as we have been a few times at this restaurant eating during the day and you can choose one dish each. I will recommend not to go in the evening as you end paying more for less food

Señor Ceviche presents itself as a Peruvian restaurant. Not like a restaurant inspired by Peruvian cuisine or a Peruvian tapas restaurant, like a Peruvian cuisine restaurant. This is indicated on all communication media. If I insist on this it is because Peruvian cuisine is above all generous and mixed. With a name like señor ceviche, you would obviously expect ceviche to be at the center of the restaurant's offering. Well no, ceviche is a small bowl with 5/6 thin pieces of fish and two grains of choclo. The leche de tigre is good, I admit, but paying that much to have a finger rinse... We also took anticuchos. It’s the quintessential streetfood dish in Peru. Made from beef heart, because it is the cheapest meat, which is left marinated for hours with a vinegary and spicy marinade to remove the taste of the heart meat. Once again the portion size was ridiculous, but also the heart had not marinated enough. The taste was way too strong. The very existence of this dish is to make us forget that it is heart and not steak… The rest of the menu didn't have much Peruvian in it. Where are the great classics like la causa, aji de gallina, arroz chaufa? Instead, we are presented with sweet potato fries with industrial mayo… Drink-wise, if the pisco sour was good but overpriced, the chicha morada was scandalous. Morada means purple because it is the color that morado corn leaves when it is infused. Here the color was pink and the taste of lemon juice took over. Two possible reasons: either the corn is much too diluted, or it is industrial powder, itself too diluted. Paying £5 for a glass of flavored ice cubes, no frills… In terms of atmosphere, it is extremely noisy and there is clearly a lack of space between the tables. The servers did not explain the dishes but took the time to listen to my criticisms which is a plus. On the other hand, defending their cuisine by saying that it is a mix of Japanese and Peruvian, no! Nikkei cuisine isn’t just about making ceviche… In summary Señor Ceviche, it is a pale imitation of an incomparable gastronomy and much richer than what this restaurant suggests. It’s just another concept restaurant with a nice marketing coating. Señor Ceviche, it’s not really bad, it’s not really good either. It is very expensive for the quantities and quality offered. This can be a gateway to a new gastronomic universe like discovering Italian cuisine with Domino’s Pizza.

I came before for a birthday dinner with my friends, I had the best time, the food was amazing as was the service! Our waitress even took a photo of us on a Polaroid camera we got too keep. Would highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants I've visited in London. The steak is exceptional, cooked to perfection. The vegetables were exquisite, and the cocktails were delicious. The ambiance makes you feel as if you're in the heart of Peru. Although it's a bit tight and loud, it adds to the charm of the place. Perfect for date nights and gatherings with friends. The music and staff contribute to an authentic experience 🇵🇪❤️❤️❤️ also check out their toilets, they’re very insta friendly haha absolutely loved them! Hidden gem 💎
