What an incredible experience. This is one place that fall in love and would like to return very often. Service was great and the food magnificent, not only the flavors but the way they presented the dishes...the quality of the ingredients outstanding.

What a treat. if you are a foodie then put this place on your list. The food was exceptional, flavours, textures and colours. I haven't been to many peruvian restaurants before so wasn't sure what to expect. I had the scallops to start and they were the best scallops I have ever eaten. We also octopus and crab causa, which is a yelloe potatoe - again delicious and so different. Also croqueta with chicken. All starters were delicious. I had slowed cook rib of beef for my main with the most amazing corriander sauce. The beef fell apart it was so soft. Although we were full we could not pass on dessert so ordered chocolate mousse- delicious. We also had a bottle of their orange wine and since then I have been to waitrose to buy some. Its like a dry white with a hint of rose, very nice indeed. I will defintely be back at Lima and have recomnended to friends and family. You wouldn't go here on a budget although they do a 2 course lunch menu for £28 it is not cheap but worth every penny.

Viva La Lima! This is an absolute culinary jewel and as if that wasn't enough, the staff are just delightful, as is Chef Marco, the culinary creator. Admirably & creatively, they update their menu regularly and pretty much everything I've ever eaten here has been memorably & joyously delicious. But last night's Lamb Chops 'Al Josper' was really something special - gracias Marco :-)

The food was great. There was a bit of a mix-up at the start with our booking and the waiting staff was a bit weird but in general the place was great. The matched drinks were superb. The pisco sours were a nice touch, but the wines were brilliant. I loved the tuna tartare and the pork, though the ceviche was great too, not massively fussed on the dessert. Would definitely go back - the 3-course menu seems incredible value. The only thing I can think of for the loss of the Michelin Star is the service, it's just not slick enough it's great.

Lovely little gem of a restaurant tucked away in the heart of London. The food is excellent, as can be expected from a Michelin star restaurant. When we visited, they were not very busy (it was a bit early for normal dinner) but we were still seated right near the entrance rather than on a better table inside. The server too was a bit inattentive and left us without water for a long time.

Wonderful and friendly service. They offered to put my bunch of flowers in a vase. The food was delicious and exquisite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, although I gave the 4 stars for the atmosphere as I would the distance between the tables were close, so it feels less intimate when having a meal with my partner. However, I will definitely return to enjoy the experience again!

The food was great and the restaurant very cute. Overall, we felt we had to rush to eat very fast and did not have the time to enjoy it properly. I understand it was on a weekday… but still. You should pay attention to that, and calm down a little bit to let us appreciate the food and drink.

The food was out of this world, absolutely fantastic! We had the tasting menu and wine flight (for a London Michelin starred restaurant was incredibly reasonably priced), which were perfectly portioned. The atmosphere was great, a little more relaxed than most of the Michelin starred restaurants we've been too which was exactly what we were after.

The scallops starter was excessively sour, barely visible, and unappealing. When I shared my feedback with the manager, Arrogant Eduardo dismissively claimed all Peruvian dishes are sour. I disagreed; the dish was poorly executed, disappointingly small, sour as hell and the brown apple puree was used on the shell sides just to stick the scallop – very bad. The SLOW COOKED RIB OF BEEF looked unappetizing with an unpleasantly colored sauce on top, and the QUINOTO DEL MAR DEL MAR was strange with an off smell from the Parmesan and seafood. CEVICHE CLASICO was okay but too sour as well. We only liked the TUNA TIRADITO. We ordered one sparkling bottle of water and didn't request another, yet a second one was brought. Arrogant Eduardo did nothing to resolve the situation; instead, he vanished. He could suggest to remove the scallops from the bill to avoid a negative review. Overall, a disappointing Sour experience; the food wasn't good. Coya restaurant is much better.

We were looking for a place to dine on a Saturday night and came across this restaurant. The service is second to none, from the moment we walked into everyone was making sure we have everything. The food is amazing and full of flavours. The cocktails were very good too. Highly recommend visiting Lima!

The food was delicious but make no mistake, the portions on the set menu aren't the same as the a la carte. Ceviche classico, ceviche taco, porchetta, rib of beef, chaufa rice, ceviche caliente were excellent. The chocolate mousse was forgettable and the cappuccino so hot it was undrinkable. The corn cake was too salty. The service is brusque. Being talked to too fast as if we should hurry up, too. Water was chugged instead of poured so it spilled on the table. No apology, no effort to wipe it down. The interiors are cute although the tables are stuck next to each other and you also bump your head to the overhanging light shades every time you sit or get up. I would return for the food but at those prices the service and overall experience don't really sell it to me.

Hands down the best restaurant I've been to in London for a long time. The food was excellent. If you like fresh, citrusy flavours then you will love it. The drinks list is also great with a number of refreshing cocktails and a good wine list including a particular orange wine which is a personal favourite. Alongside the food, the best thing about this place is the service. From the moment we walked in the service was second to none. So friendly and welcoming. Our waitress Elia was AMAZING. Also, the guys at the bar were fenomenal. Thank you so much for such a great night! We LOVED it.

We were made most welcome on arrival, so warming after being out in the rain. This was my first experience to Persian food, my diet is usually Italian and healthy food that bursts with colour a flavours. I was not familiar with the choice of the lunch menu so it was all a complete surprise. The menu certainly satisfied my taste buds with mouth watering whispers of a tantalising journey of food, through texture, taste and that overall feeling of don't let this end.

Had early dinner on a Tuesday. The restaurant was busy and had the positive vibe of a place where people are enjoying themselves. Tables are well spaced and the decor is modern but with clear Peruvian touches. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Good cocktail menu, not surprisingly focused on pisco (good variety) but also with very good non alcoholic cocktails. And the best part; the food is excellent. Had the tasting menu- very well balanced, full of Peruvian flavours; sea food and fish, lime, pork; freshness and acidity, super presentation and great service. Highly recommended!

Service was absolutely STUNNING!!! Went there for my birthday today with my parents and oh my god the service was absolutely amazing! They were so attentive and incredible! The young woman and one of the managers were so amazing with us that made our night so memorable! The food was absolutely amazing with such an incredible mix of flavours we couldn’t stop complimenting the food! Thank you Lima for such an astonishing evening! I work in hospitality myself and wow, I was impressed!!! will be coming back!

I went to Lima to try their tasting menu, as I had already dinner there and the food was very nice. The atmosphere and the staff are excellent but the new tasting menu did not meet my expectations. The Tuna tartare and the pork courses were delicious but other courses were quite disappointing such as ‘Octopus and Crab’ a la mesa (there was only a thin 3mm slice of octopus in the course and the rest was mostly potato puree and beetroot juice. The dessert was 2 spoons of milk-mousse with a ‘vegan’ merengue on top, nothing special and very stingy portions at a Micheline star price.

My daughter and I had a marvelous meal at this restaurant — perhaps the best of our trip! I frequently eat Peruvian food, but if you haven’t, try it! We had wonderful ceviche, and my beef dish was perfectly prepared; my daughter’s main (a different type of ceviche) was excellent as well. Service was totally perfect — attentive without being overly so. Highly Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the food at Lima and can't fault the presentation or the flavours. Service was less good. I didn't really need a stand off about ordering too much food (how else do you sample the menu?), forgotten drinks orders (this was during a quiet time and were the only drinks we ordered and it wasn't complicated) a second bottle of water poured and charged without even asking and there is a good reason why waiters don't usually wear open suit jackets, diners don't want your jacket dragging across the table whilst you attend to an adjacent table. I don't think they caught me on a bad day, maybe it was the other way around?

As a Peruvian living abroad, it is hard to find peruvian food that actually tastes as good as back home. Lima was a great surprise, the ceviche mixto was AMAZING, the ají amarillo croquettes were delicious, as well as the seco. We had the best time and the attention was great too! We will be back for sure.

Sublime. The food here was out of this world. Every dish we had I was convinced was one of the best things that I have eaten. The highlight for me was the scallops but you can’t really go wrong... I definitely want to go back and try their tasting menu. The restaurant itself was beautiful and the atmosphere and service were amazing. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion as it is rather expensive.

It is not the type of restaurant where one goes to eat typical Peruvian food in the bold and abundant manner it is consumed in Peru or in the most traditional way (to take into consideration). However, it is an experience that is totally worth it. The food is spectacular. It uses the best of Peruvian gastronomy and presents it in a sophisticated way without losing the intensity of the flavors (this surprised me a lot, especially the spectacular char siu pancetta). All the dishes were very good. I felt a lot of intensity of flavors in all the dishes, the tiradito, the oriental pancetta, the chaufa-style rice, the corn cake, and the yellow chili bread rolls and the meat with seco. Simply delicious. The restaurant is small but very nice. It is well worth going, especially for a special occasion. While it is more expensive than many Peruvian restaurants in London, the service and food are different and is such a great experience.

Lima has become one of my favourite London restaurants. The food and service was absolutely impeccable. The ceviche was fresh and full of flavour. I had an extensive list of food intolerances and the team blew me away with their hospitality and the efforts they took to accommodate my requests.

30-40% more expensive than it should be. At this price I'd go somewhere else. Roughly £200 for 2 people with bottle of wine. I would say everything was ok, just the expectation at the price point was higher than what was delivered. So we excitedly went to Lima for a 4:45 pm early dinner and were greeted by a friendly staff member. It was early for dinner, so the atmosphere was limited, although lighting and design works well but nothing to wow you like an amazonica. It was more like an elavated local restaurant you can find in central london. Food was prompt service was good, but as they were preparing for main service, it felt we were an afterthought and sometimes felt like it was difficult to get their attention. The food itself was ok and seemed to overpromise and under deliver. I was expecting clean, fresh, and vibrant flavours, and the delivery was more muted without any exciting flavour combos. The ceviche and tiger milk was a bit fishy, the octupus a bit meazley with the octupus/crab and overly generous on mash potato, croucettes and bread were excellent whilst the mains lacked flavour. Overall, we didn't know if we didn't like Peruvian food or they didn't deliver on hype from the price and others review.

Highly recommend Lima London. The staff were really helpful beforehand with changing numbers. On the evening, the staff were delightful and well informed in advising on menu choices. The food was delicious. Everything served was really good. They provided great options for some in our group with allergies. We had such an enjoyable time.

I just came here with my partner for dinner and we both took the tasting menu with drink pairing. In general, we expected much more. The biggest thing to note is that the price for overall value did not meet expectations in our eyes. The food was interesting, but many of the flavor profiles did not feel balanced and were im some cases difficult to consume (far to acidic with only the taste of lemon juice, meat cuts that were too chewy to even bite through, a desert that had the consistency of power). For example, the hand-dived scallops came uncooked and served with a sauce that was so sour both my husband and I could barely enjoy it. The tuna tartare was very mild, and served with a something that tasted like your basic spicy mayo like what you have at an average sushi restaurant. Of the five courses on the menu, I would say that only one (crab and octopus) was was worth writing home about. All others feel short of anything consistent with gourmet. The service staff was friendly, but many didn’t even know what they were delivering especially when it came to describing the wine (more than 5 different waitstaff to our table in a single evening, which made the experience feel very impersonal). We enjoyed the opening signature Peruvian cocktail, but from there each wine was from a European vineyard. With the amazing selection of wines coming from South American, we definitely would have expected the tasting menu to have been accompanied by selections that were at least continental. The biggest disappointment happened when when my main came - the cut of meat was so tough, my knife and teeth couldn’t even get through it. I asked for a steak knife and they said they didn’t even have any in the whole restaurant. They bought me the same dish as a replacement (which was kind) but still the same issue (the cut my husband got was much better and he was able to enjoy his). In terms of the atmosphere, it was nicely decorated but very very loudly and difficult to have a conversation. Had more of the environment of a trendy hip bistro then a high-end restaurant. Also , the ac was blowing the whole time. Also, the menus were very worn and damaged (stains, crumpled edges, ect). It just didn’t communicate the value they are trying to sell you in any way…. For two just taking the tasting menu with no extras, we spent £300. Based on our experience in other restaurants, our expectations would have been met for such a price. In this case, it’s far overpriced for what you get.

It's not acceptable to bring people a new water bottle without asking if they want it when they are about to finish their meal and still have water in their glasses, and charge £3 for it. (At the start we were given a choice of still or sparkling, tap water was never mentioned as an option, so we agreed to still). The service charge is 13.5% instead of the standard 12.5%. As a result, the two-course lunch menu, advertised outside as being £28, ended up being £35 per person. Their food hygiene rating is 3/5 ("generally satisfactory"). I'd expect more from a place that serves raw fish. The food was alright. On a previous occasion we had the tasting menu which was very repetitive, I'd recommend ordering a la carte. Or going to a place which doesn't try to overcharge you.

We ordered a large variety of different food, and as someone who hasn't had Peruvian food before I have to say this was a great opportunity for getting to know it. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly and...

Had a leisurely lunch here on Saturday. Had a range of dishes but my recommendations are definitely the raw seafood options. The tuna Nikkei and fish taco were very good. The corn cake also went well with main course dishes. Nice dining room as well.

We were 5 and ordered a range of different dishes, all were inedible except for mushroom meddle thing. The miso aubergine was just a baked aubergine with some crispy onions on top - is this the Michelin standard? Could have been more interesting. As for...

Amazing place and I just had my daily dinner / lunch there. Wonderful combination and selection of Peruvian dishes with amazing citrusy, great chef, lovely atmosphere thanks to always welcoming and friendly staff. I booked the day of when my other plans fell through. Although I was a last minute booking and only one person the team went above and beyond to accommodate me. I was originally sat inside, but I have vision problems so it was a little too dark for me. They reorganized several things so I could sit outside to see better. The waitstaff was very kind, and all of the food/drink (ceviche, iberico pork, pisco sours) were incredible. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

The food is extraordinary, flavoursome and just out of this world. The quinoa dish was so tasty. The starters and even the bread with special butter was an explosion flavours. Apparently made from cocoa. Very friendly waiters. A place I would take my parents to, to treat them. My only suggestion to improve - The desserts were ok and could be improved with more authentic Peruvian flavours. The mains and starters were so phenomenal that the desserts we chose didn't match up. But that's OK.

Was craving a Peruvian dinner while I’m in London so here we are. Tried multiple dishes and it was so creative and well presented. However, when I ordered my ceviche I thought that I’m gonna have that nice citrusy flavor taste as usual, while it was not really a ceviche that I was craving. Other dishes was very good. Service was OK with missing some details. Overall, it was a nice experience but don’t know if I’ll go back again.

How can mash potatoes be so delicate or big chunks of ceviche fish so tasty? The more unusual dishes were the best I would say. Iberico Pork was twice the price of everything else but maybe not quite worth the extra cost. We paid £200 for 2 people, and about 40% of that was alcohol. If it was closer to £150 it would be 5 stars easily. Service was just right. We moved from our first table as the bunket seating was slightly collapsed in what must be a very popular corner spot, but it was all done without any fuss from the waiter.

The tasting menu was delicious, everything was so fresh and flavourful. There wasn't a bad dish. Everything was cooked perfectly and the different, varied ingredients complimented each other so well. We had a table outside and the ambience in the evening was lovely. The waiters were very, very attentive.

Three issues: Outside there were a load of signs saying two courses for £28. When we sat down they told us that the deal did not apply on that day - and the bill for two people ended up around £160 Service was weird, we were pressured to order more than we wanted at the start of the meal. We discussed a starter with the waitress, but didn’t order it. The starter then came with our meal, and added to our bill. The bill the. came with a service charge included, but when we went to pay, we were then asked to provide a tip. When I mentioned the tip was already included, the waitress just kind of stared at us lol.

Nice restaurant with good food. We tried the egg plant, slow cooked beef, pancetta, the ceviche and a fried rice with sesame seeds. All very good. We did not like the tres leche desert. The service was exceptional.

The tuna on shiso leaf was nice but other then that the dishes felt lacking in either texture or flavour or weren’t balanced nicely.

What a pleasant surprise! The food are really really good quality, one of my friend never had raw food so she was hesitant at first, but in the end she find all the dishes very refreshing and delicious! We had my friend’s birthday celebration here and we all had a wonderful time!!

We stumbled across Lima while walking around town and we’re very pleased we did. The menu had a variety of options and we were all very pleased with our food! The service was great- Miguel and his colleagues were brilliant. Food was fairly priced, highly recommend!

Food was beautifully presented and mostly tasty. Nice atmosphere. The ceviche was disappointing, not much taste and the fish was very stiff, which was not what I had expected at all. The other starter was the tuna nikkei arriving on a stone it looked like a work of art, and the tuna was so soft. I don't usually choose to eat tuna because of the levels of mercury. We arrived fairly late and were notified that the kitchen would be closing soon after we ordered out mains. We ordered three of the secreto Iberia Pork dishes, but one arrived unmistakable as beef- the texture and colour of the muscle fibres and taste. With the combination of the kitchen closing and wanting to eat together, we didn't say anything given we also eat beef. However, when we were asked how the food was we mentioned this to the waiter, he insisted it had been pork. He then told us the beef was much more expensive in any case, as if to say we had been lucky if that had been the case, since we were only billed for three of the pork dishes we ordered (which were £32.00 for each plate). Surely that's not quite the point to be pushing, you just expect to get what you order. The mains don't come with much on the side, so we would have ordered some greens or a salad, if we'd known. The food was very rich and this would have balanced it out a bit more. Portions are small. We spent about £55/head on food for a slender meal - 2 starters, 2 breads, 3 mains and 2 deserts between our party of 3.

Great restaurant! Food was tasty, but it could have been a bit better to justify the price. I loved the atmosphere and the service was good too
