Senh Yip in Rugby

Following recommendations from friends and relations I ordered my first home delivery take-away from here and was absolutely over the moon with the quality and quantity of the food supplied. Everything was clearly freshly prepared and was delicious. Just one little niggle.... I was very disappointed that I was unable pay with a credit card over the phone and was most uncomfortable having to obtain cash (which I haven't used for 9 months). I was told I could have paid by cheque but I presume that would have meant presenting the delivery man with my bank card and I wouldn't have been happy with that either. It's a great shame but with the pandemic becoming more and more out of control and both my wife and I having to fully shield, I don't think I'll be able to order another meal from here under the current payment arrangements.

Good Chinese take away which appears to be very popular, the food has always been good. Friendly service!

Great Chinese, Chowmein was really nice and the Sweet and sour chicken was lovely. Very quick delivery and Price was really good.

The food is always fresh, hot and delicious and their delivery service is outstanding. This is our new favourite.

the sweet and sour chicken balls are really nice as well as the smoked chow mein and the egg fried rice. The sesame toast is also really nice.

Called in just after opening to pick up dinner on our way home from shopping. The front of house is spotlessly clean and bright and freshly decorated. The staff are very polite and welcoming. We ordered two house special curries with boiled rice and waited only 5 minutes despite there being other customers and orders being taken by phone. The meals were delicious, cooked just right and very tasty. This is a cut above other Chinese takeaways in my opinion and it also has a 5* hygiene rating. We will definitely be using Senh Yip in future. Excellent.

Having tried numerous takeaways over to many years to mention, we always come here. On the rare occasions that we do go somewhere else or we are at friends that use a different Chinese, the reaction is the same "it's not as good as Senh Yip" The staff are always friendly and the Chef always shouts out a cheerful " hello Mr ********, how's the family" It's know it's only a takeaway but I always leave there with a smile. This is restaurant quality that you can take home. First Class.

I have used the Sehn Yip for many years and it is well worth driving the miles to obtain the good food.

This used to be the Chinese I came too until I visited it the other night and was shocked at how the food had taken a dive for the worse. The rice was hard and the food tasted different, I called the shop to see if there was a new cook. But he said no and that the rice was always like that, I don't think so, or I wouldn't go there, I won't be going back there. It was that bad.

My family and I have been using this takeaway for years. The food is constantly great.We have tried other Chinese takeaways in Rugby and no where comes close. The portions are very generous. The staff on the phone are really friendly and are happy to amend dishes. To food always comes piping hot, and comes when they say it will. The delivery drivers are always friendly and polite. I recommend this place to all my friends.

Recommended by a local we had a selection of ten dishes. The ribs and the chilli duck (111)!were especially good but all excellent and great value for money.

My favourite Chinese in the whole of Rugby. Great service, brilliant food. There's never a time in which you wouldn't mind a Sehn Yip! Although, when you really fancy a Sehn Yip and realise it's a Tuesday (the only day they are shut), is the worst feeling ever. Nowhere else compares.

Una estupenda comida china, comida estupenda. El personal es amable. Las entregas suele ser bastante rápido excepto, como era de esperar, en horas punta. La comida es siempre caliente y bien containered. No nadando en grasa como en otros lugares.Siempre conseguir extra galletas saladas de gambas. Uso de ellos una vez por quincena.

Used to use this restaurant all the time when I lived in Rugby and only make the occasional trip back there now as live too far away but always a delight, friendly staff and the No 17 is the bestest!

Ordered food at 7.... Was told 1 hour.... 2 hours and 30 minutes later was told they couldn't find my address!!!! Didn't bother ringing me or anything! Disgusting! Manager is a joke as well

I only sometimes ever order from Sehn yip as food was ok before but I usually use my local which was closed on this occasion. Anyway, I ordered my food and they quoted 45min which it actually took 1hr15 min, when the food arrived, we dished it up and I was disgusted by it that I couldn't even finish what was on my plate let a lone the food that was left in the containers, the chicken balls were awful, the grease was dripping from them, the rice was dry and was more like boiled rice than egg friend. My noodles had a cleaning chemical smell to them, the chips were also cold and dry. I was horrified at what I got for the expense of the food. I would never ever recommend this Chinese to anyone even if it is a last min resort!! Definitely stick to my usual place where food is always delicious and hot..

The establishment was recommended so thought we would try. We ordered food during a busy period and accepted delivery within 1 hour. To cut a long story short after 2 hours 10mins and lots of calls, food still not arrived. Manager was too busy to speak. Not a problem as I will arrive at the premises face to face Monday morning for a face to face conversation as food never arrived - please don't use if hungry....!

This take away delivered the wrong food then blamed me for ordering it incorrectly. They were rude on the phone and in any case the food was stone cold and still refused to make it as I had ordered. I abstained from eating the food they delivered out of principal but my wife ate hers which was as she had ordered. However she has vomited for 36 hours so I guess I was lucky to escape whatever profingens of the clostridium variety befell my poor wife. I recommend that you all steer clear of this take away and seek out some of the other great eateries in rugby. This bacteria ridden kitchen with a distinct ' we don't care attitude, we got your money already, so tough' should be avoided at all costs. I am reporting it to RBC IEHO FOR GREAT INSPECTION WITH COMPLAINT immediately. Be cautious people of rugby

I have ordered regularly here for a number of years, but have noticed on the last three occasions the food seems to have gone downhill, the meat is chewy and dry, the batter is soggy as if it has been sitting around for a while and all the sauces in every dish seem to taste the same. My most recent order was delivered but once I opened it up I realised I had been given one dish that was incorrect, so I phoned Senh Yip to notify them of the mistake and asked if it would be possible for them to deliver the dish I had originally asked for and to collect the incorrect dish. I was promptly told I had infact ordered this mystery dish and that I must be wrong. I had never even heard of the dish that was delivered to me so it was impossible!I was very disappointed and asked to speak to the manager and was told I could not because I was the one in the wrong. I phoned the next day to try and speak to the manager to inform him of his employees poor attitude and was once again told I could not speak to him and this time verbally insulted. I will not be ordering from here again and I am shocked at the lack of customer service if there is any issue.

Food always good, whether collecting or having delivered. Service always with a smile. Highly recommend

We always order from here when we want a good Chinese. There the best by far in Rugby.The foods always fresh and very tasty. The man on the phone is always very helpfull and doesn't mind making variations to the dishes. The food always comes in good time and the delivery driver is very polite and friendly.

Have been using Sehn Yip for years. Never had any problems ordering through them. Lovely service. Friendly staff and delicious food. Can recommend the crispy shredded chicken salty and spicy dry dish.
