The review about the staff being unfriendly is completely accurate. The food is also not good. It's hard to understand why this place has so many reviews and scores as high as 4.5. The man with blonde hair and glasses and the girl with glasses at the counter thought I didn't understand Vietnamese, so they spoke ill of me right to my face in Vietnamese. Really rude. I noticed that the glasses-wearing employee was very polite to the white male customer, constantly apologizing and trying to be polite until the last minute. Really funny. The reviews about the unfriendly staff are absolutely true. The food isn't great either. It’s truly baffling how this place has so many reviews and a 4.5-star rating. The man with bleached hair and glasses, along with the woman with glasses at the counter, assumed I didn't understand Vietnamese and spoke poorly about me right in front of me in Vietnamese. It was incredibly rude. I noticed that the female staff member with glasses was perfectly polite to the white male customer, apologizing repeatedly and going out of her way to show how sorry she was right until the very end. My cutlery was sticky. The meat smelled off. Portions were laughably small. Honestly, how this place has a high rating is beyond me. Save yourself the trouble and head to a proper pho restaurant instead.

This place is amazing, and have a accurate viet flavor! Reasonable price and delicious, it's complete our trip in london! The best taste we ever tried during this trip! We are living in leeds but all the viet food there are lame... I wish we would have something good like this one provides... I especially recommend the iced coffee, fried rice, fried spring roll, beef. But you definitely should try anything you interested. Also, like to mention the young man (wear black glasses )who serve us, forgot to ask your name but thank you for your kindness serving 🥰

The food was average. There were three of us, so we wanted to split the £100 bill over three credit cards, bizarrely they refused, saying they had a two card policy. No signs stating this. Not a massive issue but surprising and Irritating

Excellent food and service. I visited with two of my vegetarian friends who enjoyed a lot as they were plent of vegan and vegetarian options. There was a little wait as it was Friday night but the food and service was worth the wait!

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in London (and I’ve tried many others). I’ve eaten here nearly 20 times, and they’ve done an amazing job every single time. I’ve tried their noodle soups, rice dishes, pancakes, and many other items, all of them are always well-cooked and very fresh. And some of their dishes are even more delicious if you eat with steamed rice. Their food have a perfect balance between flavors, so i think their food appealing to a wide range of people. Meanwhile their food is also authentic and traditional. I have visited Vietnam twice, I can say this restaurant is comparable to some of the best restaurant there. The staff are always friendly and patient. On one occasion, I had to step out for about five minutes due to an emergency, leaving my grandparents, who don’t speak English, behind. The staff （especially a young, handsome gentleman wearing glasses）,were incredibly polite and attentive, doing their best to accommodate all of their needs.

A brilliant no frills restaurant with fantastic food. Service was fast and the food was packed with great fresh flavours. Perfect for a quick stop on the way to catch a train.

Food was good but why advertise 10% off lunch hour during weekdays, when it was only “for during the winter”??? This was advertised on every menu. Even on the front of the restaurant.

Great meal here. Very popular location, we came at about 8pm on a Thursday and there was a short wait as the restaurant was full. Service was polite and apeedy-- we were served really quickly but never felt rushed. The menu is quite long and has a couple of pages dedicated to vegetarian and vegan food. They had quite a lot of vegan fish options which I don't often see as a vegetarian so I was impressed to see so much on the menu. The food was really quite good, and beautifully presented. It was OK value for money, in line wiry what you would pay for similar quality food in central London.

A lovely little place. A back road 5 star. Don't expect silver service - it's good people serving good food without a fuss.

A random find whilst searching on maps to find a near by Vietnamese restaurant. As we approached the restaurant the road and surrounding area didn’t seem to have much life, but once opening the door to the restaurant I realised the vibes were inside. It was a packed restaurant and for good reason. A true gem of a find. The food is some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had in London. A lot of deep flavours and well priced. A good vibe to talk and eat amongst friends.

Excellent food! We had flat noodles (chicken and the vegan), chilli tofu (which was outstanding!) and prawn summer rolls (perfection). Highly recommended and reasonable value.

Food came really fast! Good portion sizes for the prices! However they don't actually have 10% off during lunchtime despite what it says on their menu (at least when you eat in)

10 mins from King's Cross. Some ppl come here because they avoid the long queue of the nearest famous restaurant. It's a bit hidden but with excellent food.

This is a lovely restaurant that I've visited multiple times over the years. It doesn't look fancy, but the food is delicious and it's a great place to go with a group of friends so you can taste more dishes. They are really prompt at clearing the tables/s of empty dishes and the food comes out quickly. Recommend

Everything is prepared in advance and most dishes are just dumped on a plate either cold - straight from the fridge - or microwaved. A shame because the flavour is there. Portion for the starters is too generous - they'll fill you up quickly. Service is a bit distracted.

Loved the vegan carmelized fish dish. So yummy! It's a very quiet little place but thoroughly enjoyable.

Because there were many customers, it might be busy, so the service was mediocre. The cooked beef rice noodles were only OK. I also ordered the minced pork rice, which tasted weird. I had two cups of wild drinks and ordered them, but in the end I didn't have any, but we followed the plan. Number one on the left, I asked him to change it, but he was embarrassed and silent.

The raw beef pho is very authentic and sweet. The fried dishes include flower sticks, spring rolls, meat rolls, rice noodles and vegetables, which are very refreshing.

Great food at a very good price! Here you can eat your fill. The food also came super fast and the staff were super nice and guided those who haven't eaten much Vietnamese food before.

We chose this place after reading a blog article and I must say that we enjoyed it very much. The service is very quick and present, the dishes fresh and tasty. Especially the rolls with peanut butter sauce and Pho (typical Vietnamese soup). The Hanoi beer is also good. Honest price in the order of 55 euros for two people. The area is not very central and perhaps not very busy in the evening, but still well connected by buses as it is very close to the famous King's Cross station.

Great place for Pho while waiting for a train. It has been a long time since l had a good Pho and Summer roll. Definitely recommend !!

Don’t judge the book by it’s cover, though the outside look of the restaurant looks old fashioned but the food is superb in there 👍👍👍 My daughter took us there and she patronizes this Viet restaurant from time to time and we enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Extensive menu and when you crave for Asian food especially Vietnamese while in London, a must go place for your Viet fix ! 👍👍👍

Tasty authentic Vietnamese food, lota of options even for fussy eaters. Quick service. The restaurant looks a bit dated, and the tables are set in long rows like a classroom. If you don't mind the setting, it's the best restaurant in the area. We have been there a few times, and we weren't disappointed. Be aware that the restaurant is closed in the afternoon and reopens in the evening.

Wow!!!! Coming from a viet immigrant with a picky mom….the food was phenomenal. We went here 2 nights in a row as we discovered it in the last days of our London trip. Absolutely adored the bun cha ca and bun bo hue. Nicest humans!! The best service we have experienced in London ❤️❤️ Will forever will hold a special place in my heart.

We found a bug in our rice noodle soup, but the store owner refused to admit that it was a hygiene issue, saying it might have flown in from outside. Refusing to compensate.

Food portion is big enough, staff here have super memory for ordering food with out taking note.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food - as demonstrated by the number of east Asian people eating there - always a good sign! Lively ambience, prompt service and all very reasonably priced. Can't fault it.

We could see the restaurant from our hotel so thought we'd give it a try. Well worth visiting, with an extensive menu including many vegetarian options. Prices are pretty reasonable by London standards and the portions are quite large. Staff were friendly and when we visited the place was busy, so is clearly popular. Would go back if we're ever in the area.

Although the food was tasty, I believe they added loads of MSG, I was thirsty after dinner and had to drink a few cups of water! Also, the service needs improvement, although there were empty tables and apparently no queues outside the restaurant, we were constantly being asked by the waitress that have we finished our food. It was a stressful dining experience!

The bun cha ca is absolutely delicious- the broth is a mouth-watering balance of spicy and sour, brightened by fresh dill and mint. Portion sizes are very generous. The summer rolls made a delightful starter. I do find the interior a little dark but overall would absolutely recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese food!

Good vietnamese restaurant near kings cross. The beef pho portion was very big with a generous amount of beef. However, it did leave me feeling very thirsty later on.

Booked a table for 10 on a Saturday night. Nice friendly staff and their service was super quick ! Food came out pretty quickly and promptly. The sharing house platter was amazing!! Spring roll and pancake was super crispy. The pho was yummy too ! Also the chicken coconut curry with rice tasted delicious. Great sizing of portion and filling !!

The dishes are correct, nothing more. The service is deplorable, my plate was practically taken away from me before I finished the last bite. I was asked to leave 45 minutes before closing time. To avoid.

Lovely place, was recommended to me by a friend and I can see why! Great food with great service. Got the Chicken Bun Hue, it was so delicious I even drank all the soup. The Bahn Mi was also very tasty, the was bread was nice and fresh, I would eat it by itself.

The seats are not very wide, and the Vietnamese soup rice noodles and vegetarian spring rolls are good. If you like Hong Kong-style salad noodles, I don’t recommend it.

Really excellent good. We had the shared appetizer plate, the sea bass, the pork belly in carmelized fish sauce and coconut juice ( the most amazing dish) and bbq pork on vermicelli. Every thing I would recommend.

We were staying nearby and had seen the great reviews for this unassuming little restaurant. We enjoyed an excellent authentic meal in a welcoming setting. The spring roll starter was particularly tasty. We got a bit lost in the lengthy menu, and prices seemed to differ from those we had seen online - but overall the food prices were reasonable for London and drinks very good value. We visited on a thursday evening and the restaurant was busy throughout - always a great sign! No service charge automatically added to the bill, which is always welcome (we were more than happy to add service).

Family Vietnamese restaurant with some northern Vietnamese specials that you won’t be able to find at other restaurants. Food is quick but the place is often busy especially at dinner time so if you’re coming with a group I recommend you book a table

Best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to! The pho is on another level, so rich and yet so clear, I love all the toppings - the mint, the bean sprouts, the chilli. Must get their rare/mixed beef pho, it’s quite a big portion. First time trying fried ice cream, it has peanuts at the top but you can ask to remove peanuts if you have allergies. The ice cream tasted like vanilla flavoured and goes very well with the skin, I loved it. The downside is the time limit, you only get one hour to eat your food. Service is different to what you’re used to, very authentic Asian, simple and direct.

Food was okay. Don’t know what’s the problems with staff. It almost felt like they hate customers but you work in hospitality….
