DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE MENU PRICES. This is the only real issue with this place. We were deceived with cheap prices on their website menu only to arrive to a menu which was double the expected price. Price aside, the food is fresh, clean, authentic and very filling. The service was very fast and friendly. I would recommend this to any fan of Viet cuisine looking for a no frills, quick in-and-out lunch or dinner.

Great food, fast, friendly, service

Extremely disappointing experience. I ordered the pho and the broth was far too oily — heavy, greasy, and missing the clean, aromatic quality that good pho should have. It left a greasy film rather than feeling fresh and light. For context, I’ve eaten Vietnamese food all my life — I’ve tasted the real thing in Vietnam itself, and had plenty of authentic and excellent pho in London as well. I know what proper pho is meant to taste like, and Sen Viet completely missed the mark. Even worse, the so-called “variations” of pho (rare beef pho, garlic pho, normal pho, and so on) are a straight-up scam. My friends and I each ordered different versions, but when the bowls arrived, they were identical. No real difference — just a way for the restaurant to charge more for the same basic dish. It feels lazy and dishonest. Given how many genuinely good Vietnamese restaurants there are in London, I’d strongly recommend avoiding Sen Viet. There are much better places to spend your money.

Delicious food and service, great little restaurant

PLEASE AVOID - I was so excited to have a nice Vietnamese lunch. When I arrived, I stood at the counter and the staff (a woman and a man) did their best to avoid eye contact. After a few minutes (awkward), I asked if I should take a seat. Shown a table, where I sat for a good 10min without anyone coming to give a menu. Extremely poor service so I left.

Delicious food. Many Asians also ate there. Food was very tasty and fresh. Been there twice. Delicious every time. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time this evening, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the service was incredibly quick, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding—tasty, with generous portions that were fresh and satisfying. Each dish was prepared with care, and it was evident in every bite. A special note about the staff: I accidentally left my handbag behind, not realising until I had returned to my hotel- the team went above and beyond by staying open for me to collect it, which was immensely appreciated. Living in Derbyshire, I would have been in quite a predicament without my bag, as I needed it for my drive home. The staff here are truly excellent and accommodating. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you're looking for a place with great food and even better service, look no further.

Pho was good. Fried Spring roll was great. Service can improve as tap water was only offered upon asking. Maybe that’s a thing in London? But for the price that they are charging, tap water or tea should be standard with a restaurant like this no matter where you are in the world..This place also gets loud.

Great Vietnamese food in the King’s Cross area! Everything was flavorful & cravings were satisfied. My favorite was definitely the thit kho trung. My girlfriend’s favorite was the pho. I’d try the whole menu if I could!

Went here because all dimsum restos in the area were fully booked. Lucky to get a place here without booking, right after it opened. The place got full quite quickly tho, booking is recommended. Food: Delicious bbq beef banh mi and bbq pork rice. Love the bread, not buttery. And the protein inside was seasoned well. Not muted, but also not spicy (context: my spice level tolerance is pretty high). Vegetable spring roll was so-so.

I have been a regular at the place for many years, and the food is always as fresh, tasty, and varied over time! One of my favourites is the egg fried rice. It's not a complex dish, and yet it can be hard to find a tasty, well-made one. I absolutely LOVE the one from Sen Viet.

I hate to leave a bad review but given we’re essentially kicked out of the restaurant I think I should. We arrived at 2:30pm without knowing it closes at 3:00pm. Everyone was dining normally and we’re not told anything when ordering. Half way through, a guy went to us and said “we’re closed” without explaining what it means to us. I had to guess asking “should we pay now?” “could we still finish?” but he was like a broken record on repeat, saying the same sentence again and again. Eventually I suggested we can finish in 10 mins and he said “I’ll give you 5!” (The exact words of him). I was shocked, but as a woman faced with a guy speaking in a threatening tone in an almost empty shop, I was genuinely terrified. I paid the bill and left feeling disguised. I did complain to the guy before I left, but he kept saying “but we told others we close at 3”. So?? Disgusted and appalled.

Pho and spring rolls are awesome!!

All the food was so good and tasty. Prices were very reasonable and the service was great too. Beef in my dish was succulent . The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was probably the best I've had in London.

Our second visit and we still enjoyed it very much. We arrived just 45 mins before they closed so there was no wait and the service was fast and friendly. The nems were so good we had 3 orders. Not the best Pho we had but good enough and they do have a varied menu with interesting choices.

Nice and vibrant place with some unique desserts. Their noodles and starters were good. A lot of wine selections. It's not a big place but quite a few tables and the service is very good and efficient.

The review about the staff being unfriendly is completely accurate. The food is also not good. It's hard to understand why this place has so many reviews and scores as high as 4.5. The man with blonde hair and glasses and the girl with glasses at the counter thought I didn't understand Vietnamese, so they spoke ill of me right to my face in Vietnamese. Really rude. I noticed that the glasses-wearing employee was very polite to the white male customer, constantly apologizing and trying to be polite until the last minute. Really funny. The reviews about the unfriendly staff are absolutely true. The food isn't great either. It’s truly baffling how this place has so many reviews and a 4.5-star rating. The man with bleached hair and glasses, along with the woman with glasses at the counter, assumed I didn't understand Vietnamese and spoke poorly about me right in front of me in Vietnamese. It was incredibly rude. I noticed that the female staff member with glasses was perfectly polite to the white male customer, apologizing repeatedly and going out of her way to show how sorry she was right until the very end. My cutlery was sticky. The meat smelled off. Portions were laughably small. Honestly, how this place has a high rating is beyond me. Save yourself the trouble and head to a proper pho restaurant instead.

This place is amazing, and have a accurate viet flavor! Reasonable price and delicious, it's complete our trip in london! The best taste we ever tried during this trip! We are living in leeds but all the viet food there are lame... I wish we would have something good like this one provides... I especially recommend the iced coffee, fried rice, fried spring roll, beef. But you definitely should try anything you interested. Also, like to mention the young man (wear black glasses )who serve us, forgot to ask your name but thank you for your kindness serving 🥰

The food was average. There were three of us, so we wanted to split the £100 bill over three credit cards, bizarrely they refused, saying they had a two card policy. No signs stating this. Not a massive issue but surprising and Irritating

Excellent food and service. I visited with two of my vegetarian friends who enjoyed a lot as they were plent of vegan and vegetarian options. There was a little wait as it was Friday night but the food and service was worth the wait!

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in London (and I’ve tried many others). I’ve eaten here nearly 20 times, and they’ve done an amazing job every single time. I’ve tried their noodle soups, rice dishes, pancakes, and many other items, all of them are always well-cooked and very fresh. And some of their dishes are even more delicious if you eat with steamed rice. Their food have a perfect balance between flavors, so i think their food appealing to a wide range of people. Meanwhile their food is also authentic and traditional. I have visited Vietnam twice, I can say this restaurant is comparable to some of the best restaurant there. The staff are always friendly and patient. On one occasion, I had to step out for about five minutes due to an emergency, leaving my grandparents, who don’t speak English, behind. The staff （especially a young, handsome gentleman wearing glasses）,were incredibly polite and attentive, doing their best to accommodate all of their needs.

Food was good but why advertise 10% off lunch hour during weekdays, when it was only “for during the winter”??? This was advertised on every menu. Even on the front of the restaurant.

Great meal here. Very popular location, we came at about 8pm on a Thursday and there was a short wait as the restaurant was full. Service was polite and apeedy-- we were served really quickly but never felt rushed. The menu is quite long and has a couple of pages dedicated to vegetarian and vegan food. They had quite a lot of vegan fish options which I don't often see as a vegetarian so I was impressed to see so much on the menu. The food was really quite good, and beautifully presented. It was OK value for money, in line wiry what you would pay for similar quality food in central London.

A lovely little place. A back road 5 star. Don't expect silver service - it's good people serving good food without a fuss.

A random find whilst searching on maps to find a near by Vietnamese restaurant. As we approached the restaurant the road and surrounding area didn’t seem to have much life, but once opening the door to the restaurant I realised the vibes were inside. It was a packed restaurant and for good reason. A true gem of a find. The food is some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had in London. A lot of deep flavours and well priced. A good vibe to talk and eat amongst friends.

Excellent food! We had flat noodles (chicken and the vegan), chilli tofu (which was outstanding!) and prawn summer rolls (perfection). Highly recommended and reasonable value.

Food came really fast! Good portion sizes for the prices! However they don't actually have 10% off during lunchtime despite what it says on their menu (at least when you eat in)

10 mins from King's Cross. Some ppl come here because they avoid the long queue of the nearest famous restaurant. It's a bit hidden but with excellent food.

This is a lovely restaurant that I've visited multiple times over the years. It doesn't look fancy, but the food is delicious and it's a great place to go with a group of friends so you can taste more dishes. They are really prompt at clearing the tables/s of empty dishes and the food comes out quickly. Recommend

Everything is prepared in advance and most dishes are just dumped on a plate either cold - straight from the fridge - or microwaved. A shame because the flavour is there. Portion for the starters is too generous - they'll fill you up quickly. Service is a bit distracted.

Loved the vegan carmelized fish dish. So yummy! It's a very quiet little place but thoroughly enjoyable.

Because there were many customers, it might be busy, so the service was mediocre. The cooked beef rice noodles were only OK. I also ordered the minced pork rice, which tasted weird. I had two cups of wild drinks and ordered them, but in the end I didn't have any, but we followed the plan. Number one on the left, I asked him to change it, but he was embarrassed and silent.

The raw beef pho is very authentic and sweet. The fried dishes include flower sticks, spring rolls, meat rolls, rice noodles and vegetables, which are very refreshing.

Great food at a very good price! Here you can eat your fill. The food also came super fast and the staff were super nice and guided those who haven't eaten much Vietnamese food before.

We chose this place after reading a blog article and I must say that we enjoyed it very much. The service is very quick and present, the dishes fresh and tasty. Especially the rolls with peanut butter sauce and Pho (typical Vietnamese soup). The Hanoi beer is also good. Honest price in the order of 55 euros for two people. The area is not very central and perhaps not very busy in the evening, but still well connected by buses as it is very close to the famous King's Cross station.
