Regular visitor to this great Fish and Chip shop. Fresh fish excellent. Great family business. Staff always friendly and efficient. Very good value for money. Look forward to our Wednesday treat.

Avoid this place. Incompetent and rude staff member. I placed an order for large fish and chips, mini fish and chips and mushy peas. As I collected the order she’d forgotten the peas and then when I got home I’d been given two mini fish and chips. I then called up to complain and was told I had to send a picture of the fish so they could verify my claim before any refund could be considered. Useless. Last time I to this place.

Always good, never a problem but 6.15pm on a Saturday and empty! What's going on?

It is the second time I have been recently, and both times the portions have been miserly. Both times I ordered large portions and was left disappointed. The food was decent but it seems pointless to pay a premium and expect to get more, only to be given the most ungenerous portions. There is plenty of competition in Lichfield, will be trying them in future in an attempt to get better value..

Decent chippy. Generous portions, reasonable prices, battered burger was nice. I noticed they had gyros (albeit seemed a bit dry) but is a lovely addition. Everything was made to order so it took some time. I prefer to wait and then enjoy the hot food (and burning my tongue) but that's just me!

Best fish and chips I've had in a very long time ,the only issue I have is the shop is over an hour from home otherwise this would be my new regular place to go

Best chippy in Lichfield, friendly family run business, amazing prices, fast service, decent amount of parking round the back, easy to get to, can't say a bad thing about this place, far better than other chip shops in the area.

Best “Chippy Tea” you’ll get. I’ve tried them all, from Whitby to the West End, and nothing beats the home team Seftons! The Haddock is divine. The chip portions are just generous too! Kebabs, sausage, Fish cake and pies, it’s genuinely all great! It’s a family establishment too which are few and far between these days so you know your cash is going straight back into the family business!

Seftons have the best haddock around... Ring them a few minutes before you arrive and order ahead... Magic

We used to love Seftons but recently portion sizes have decreased massively! This was around £6.50! A few strips of donner meat and a handful of chips... Much better value for money at Queens. Update 08/12/2023, after 4 months I decided to give this place a try again, I revcieved a very sarcastic response this evening for this review. I won't be returning again.

A hidden gem in Lichfield, so glad I found this place. Just 2-minute walk from the train station, definitely worth a try. A well-managed family business. Friendly and efficient services, competitive prices and of course most importantly, great food. Probably the best fish I have had recently. They named it Mini Fish, but the size was actually okay. Will come back in the future if I get another chance of visiting Lichfield.

Been coming here for over 12 years and wouldn't go anywhere else the staff are really friendly and very helpful. Micheal and tor and all the other staff really make the place what it is food is really cooked to perfection nice size portions don't just take my word for it ❤️❤️

Mixed outcomes from the 4 of us who ate on thos occasion. One disliked his mini fish and chips, two loved theirs, and I thought mine was OK. We've been many times, and the quality is usually good. On two occasions I've had errant items in mine, a large piece of bone and what I'd assumed may have been some gut or a parasite, so this has made me a little wary but not sufficiently to stop me going. Definitely on the 3 best chippies in Lichfield, with Queens and Netherstowe being the other 2. That said, there's alway, always someone ahead of me being served whenever I visit and I know it has a strong reputation locally.

I’ve always like the Sefton. Great family business that’s been in the family for a long time. Always friendly & lovely food. But portion sizes are now very disappointing. This was £6.10!!. Hopefully just a one-off. Still a great chip shop.

Awesome food, FRESH fish. The Halloumi was expertly cooked by Andreas. The banter was great guys. Shane you can cook next time 😉 Will definitely be back...Next time I'll try the chicken kebab. Ignore the negative heads out there..they don't know quality if it slapped them in the face.

Upon moving to Lichfield early this year, we tried all of the local chip shops and this one was by far the best. Very friendly staff and the food is excellent. They've since catered for our work's Christmas party and did a sterling job given all of the last minute changes. Heartily recommend them!

Typically good food but incredibly rude staff. Wasn’t able to hear member of staff properly due to background noise and member of staff became very rude and abrupt in their responses to me. Unfortunate as it is a nice fish bar, however with multiple other options within the city I shall not be returning.

I assumed they only did Fish & Chips but was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the Kebabs and the Chicken burger are. It's like a Kebab shop and Fish & Chip shop in one. The owners are really friendly and it's really worth going to for excellent Fish & Chips or a Kebab. Kebabs are always packed so full, sometimes the styrofoam doesn’t close properly - generous portions! The perfect dinner treat for us.

Best chips I've had in ages. Well worth the distance to travel from home.

We have been going here since I was a little boy. It is the ultimate treat and the owners have never been anything other than wonderful. These are my golden standard of chips. Truly one of the great joys of Lichfield cuisine!

Top staff and top food.. not visited for many years as not in the area and thought of this place for lunch as I'm passing through.. didn't disappoint! Chicken meat straight off the upright grill (other chippys take note!!)(it makes one hell of a difference believe me..) drizzled with mint yoghurt and super tasty chips.. thanks.. I'll be back again no probs 👍👌

Great little chippy in Lichfield. Well worth a visit, will definitely be going back there again. Even the mini fish special was more than enough to fill me up. Prices are very reasonable, and staff are welcoming and friendly, cannot fault them. 10/10

I had an awesome experience in this place , the haddock chips was super crispy. I regret that I forget to add salt it could have been even more awesome. For £10 I had a wholesome meal. The owners were super sweet, I would definitely recommend this place.

Always amazing food, the quality is far better here than at competators around Lichfield, the staff welcome you and remember you and make you feel valued,. The prices are brilliant, plenty of parking too, overall the best chip shop I've been to in years.

O•M•G.....just picked up chips ,mushy peas, pie and scallops on the way past from the train station (my partner has not been to this chippy since leaving Lichfield 30 yrs ago) This is the BEST food from a chip shop in years !!!!!! 11/10 ! 😋😋

I didn't eat at this chip shop because it had just closed at 9pm my fault for being late but the food looked and smells lovely though🤩 the friendly girl helped me out and said there was a mc donalds in the center of town which is rubbish . Real chips next time and a pukka pie. next time I pass I will pop back in on time😁.

Unfortunately they were out of kebab meat so had to have Cod and Chips which was very nice. Large car park at the back of the shop with a picnic bench which as a motorcyclists half way through a journey was much appreciated. Would be 5 stars if they had the kebab meat. Would definitely stop there again if passing.

We love the delivery service this is our friday treat. Food always comes piping hot great service. Websites easy to use and your time keeping is Impeccable. There was a little issue with drinks tonight but with a quick phone call it was solved with no problems at all Many thanks. John,sharon,niamh and jamie.

Had Fish and chips and a diet drink. Made me very welcome and tasty food on the bench opposite. Told passers by food was yummy and first class.

First and last time I will use this chippy 😕 staff very friendly, but chips were very dry and bitty, fish was like rubber and batter was really greasy, very disappointed, as the shop always seems full when I pass so was looking forward to a nice meal.

Have used this fish & chip shop on numerous occasions always spot on no complaints whatsoever,have had delivery in the last lockdown as I am over 70 & live in Lichfield and have been for collection social distancing spot on .thank you to all at the Sefton for all your hard work in these times ,much appreciated 😷👍👏
