We often come in for a breakfast when buying pet supplies. Unfortunately we won't be back now they have changed the breakfast and menu. You can no longer choose the items you like and have to have items on your plate you don't eat. They say you can't swap anything 😑 also the quality was worse. Asked for toast but served warm bread and cold eggs and sausages. The bacon tasted artificial. Not recommended anymore.

Our food was served by Oliver who could not have been more helpful. He served our traditional breakfast and arranged for poached eggs to be cooked there and then. Our food was ready but we were held up buying our beverages as there was only one person preparing coffee etc. so that our food didn’t go cold we had to order the coffee and go back in the queue to collect. Clearly this was a busy time and more staff were needed to assist with jot beverages. Overall our meal was very good, just the hold-up with the coffee.

Have been coming here every day for my brunch/lunch the past two weeks as I’m working really close and it’s convenient. I Was asked to review yesterday and thought to myself “you probably won’t like it”. Alas here I am and It’s my last time coming here today even tho I’m still in the area for two weeks. It’s not a restaurant but a cafeteria. A restaurant tends to be personal and a cafeteria tends to be run like a machine. The other day I fancied some coleslaw and I was told I had to get the £5 salad buffet in it’s entirety So that didn’t happen. Today they have swapped out the ladle of beans for a two table spoon ramekin. Swapping out portion size to pay for some poor sod to fill 200 ramekins and make sure they look presentable, What a management decision. Avoid christmases in that household haha. These couple of bits sound trivial but at £13 for 7 items and a coffee you would be best off finding a local cafe where you will get bigger for less. On a good note. I absolutely champion the diversity of the staff.

We used to eat at Sedum on Sundays because you could get a very reasonably priced good roast dinner there. And you could help yourself to vegetables with only the meat and yorkshire pudding being handed to you on the plate. We dined there yesterday lunchtime. I had beef and my wife had chicken. The choice of vegetables was merely carrots, greens and potatoes, all served by the counter staff. The portions given were tiny, more like a child's meal and we only received three small potatoes each. The server was rude and surly. When my wife mentioned that there was no cranberry sauce left , the server said that she would get some more but she never did. £14.95 for this paltry offering? What a joke. We will never, ever dine there again and I advise anyone reading this review not to do so either. It's a rip-off, plain and simple. If they can't do better than this then they should just close.

We used to use the Sedum restaurant fairly frequently for a breakfast (either a 4 item or 7 item meal with toast and a coffee included). We revisited this morning after probably about a year and OMG! it's got ridiculously expensive! I noticed that the 4 item breakfast is now £7.75. I thought that was a bit costly but, given the cost of living hike, I could live with it (bearing in mind also that it includes a filter coffee). When I came to pay the gentleman at the till said 'that's £21.40 please'!. Apparently the coffees are no longer included in the deal. To be honest, in my opinion that's just ridiculous and, sadly, that'll probably be our last visit. In my case the cold egg, along with the small handful of mushrooms ,one sausage and one rasher of bacon did look rather sparse on the plate, and my wife's cold baked beans and bacon didn't help the experience! We noticed also that there were many fewer customers than usual, I wonder why?

Very expensive bland paninis. Underwhelming. Service was painfully slow. The slightly warm paninis were very boring, bland and expensive. We ordered one tuna and cheese melt and one sweet chilli chicken. When the girl was making them I almost stopped her as I thought she was putting tuna in both. It was difficult to tell the difference which was a bit of a worry. This also required the girl to have 3 changes of blue plastic gloves! Use spoons, cheaper, easier and quicker. No garnish but offered salad with it at £2.99 a whizz. No thanks, I think £6.95 for what we had was a rip off. I wish I'd known there was a subway and greggs a bit further up the road. Neither of those are my usual lunch choice but I'm sure they are better value.

I had the same experience as the previous reviewers at breakfast time. Seven item breakfast, all ready to go from the hot plate (well that is what they call it). My wife ordered the poached eggs on toast which must have got lost in transit (she had to go and chase it up after ten minutes). This has got to be the worst breakfast I have ever had in a Garden Centre and I have tried a few. By the time I queued for the coffees and sat down to eat my breakfast was cold, not even tasty. It was expensive for what it was, but I can understand the prices increasing due to the current climate. At least make the food palatable, it was nothing short of disgusting. I will definitely give it a wide birth especially when there are better garden centres to visit for breakfast. Do not waste your time or money visting for breakfast.

Have spent the last few months popping in for the 7 item breakfast and two coffes on a Saturday morning, normaly arround £13.00, went in today and the same breakfast cost £16.25. When I asked about the difference in price was due to tea/coffee no longer included in price, but I was getting a loyalty card for a free drink. They have not had the heating on for weeks which I can understand, but 20% + hike in price means unfortunaly I will not be returning.

…it was my birthday today and my son took me out for breakfast before I had to jump on a train later that day. Words actually fail me about how ridiculously expensive it was. 4 items for £7.75 I think it was = 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon, 1 black pudding (I’m Northern by birth) and 1 egg. When it say on my plate looking just as forlorn as I felt, I did say to the server it didn’t look like good value. She apologised and said tea/coffee was included, so that made things a little more palatable. At the till however, no tea/coffee were extra despite my protestations. So all in all a very disappointing ‘full English’ ( not even close) for almost £22 for two. I know this is Surrey but honestly, this is genuinely outrageous pricing - I wish I’d taken a picture of my plate but I’m not that guy and frankly, I was too embarrassed to. Oh, I did get cold toast - cold because of the queue at the till for coffee’s. Those people were smart. They knew.

We have visited regularly for the last few years but this year was such a disappointment - we were rushed through the big finale (the visit with Santa) - much to the children’s sadness. Santa said hello to the kids, asked us for a photo, gave the children gift vouchers and we were sent out within a minute. It felt very rushed - santa even sighed as we left the room and didn’t ask the kids any questions or say anything else. The winter wonderland itself looked old and tired. one of Xmas characters in the display looked dangerously deformed. It’s not really about the money but as a family we spent £50 and we’re so disappointed that there was no magic this year. At the end, we decided to cheer up the kids with a hot chocolate and treat at the cafe but the shelves were completely bare at 4.30pm and no chocolate powder apparently to make hot chocolate. Not sure what has gone wrong this year but it was such an anti-climax and hope it can be fixed for further young visitors over the Christmas period.

I often eat here at lunchtime. I have a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw, although the coleslaw changed post pandemic and is no longer ordinary coleslaw, or quiche and salad with a cappuccino. All very nice. As I use a crutch there is always a member of staff who offers to help me. Unfortunately I decided to try breakfast here for the first time. It will be the last time. If you are vegetarian it will be a disappointment. As a meat eater you have sausages, bacon and black pudding as well as the vegetables whereas a vegetarian has vegetarian sausages which a vegetarian would not eat - hard enough to cut let alone eat - and, in theory, a vegetarian black pudding which was, in reality , tiny bits of burnt something or other. The mushrooms were lovely, the beans were fine, the tomatoes were stone cold and there were only fried eggs. According to the chef scrambled eggs would only last 5 minutes so they don't offer them. Isn't it amazing that buffet restaurants the world over manage to have scrambled eggs out for breakfast?? Then the toast. I asked for toast, the man serving said he would do 2 slices for me and 2 for my friend. but then let another member of staff, who clearly knew she hadn't done any toast, take my toast and give it to a customer behind me in the queue. Then he put 2 slices in front of me, going cold, while waiting for another 2. The second 2 slices were not toasted, presumably because he was now rushing,i ended up as 2 slices of bread in the bin. and we went to sit down. It was not an experience I will ever repeat. Such a shame as lunch is so good.

Stopped here for some refreshment en route and had a pleasant lunch sitting outside. Nice fresh coronation chicken baguette and a nice coffee cake. Interesting drinks to wash it down with. Lots of choices for food and drinks and friendly staff.
