Worst Costa Coffee franchise ever. Almost zero choice for food so ended up purchasing from the Spa. The whole place looked tired and run down.

Split my full cup of coffee and it was replaced free of charge by the man cleaning tables in the seating area by Costa at 1700 today and coffee cleaned up instantly, he is an employee to be proud of.

Without a doubt the worst McDonald's I've been to. The cheese on the quarter pounder wasn't even on the burger!! It was on the inside lid of the box. Not sure if this was for a joke or not?? Chips everywhere under tables. Not a single clean table despite only one person sat at a table, and no one waiting when we arrived. Not like they're busy. Clearly someone knows they're supposed to be cleaning as the cleaning tray and products have been left unattended in children's reach.

Typical service area crowded with plenty of parking. On the plus side, this McDonald delivered the food as quickly as the order number was posted on the board. So if you need quick food this is the place for you

All fast food franchises now, now general eatery. Caravan parking full of lorries. Over night parking requires payment by app which didn’t offer a caravan option. Ended up having to find a staff member who dug us out of hole

Wow! Where to start? These ladies’ toilets were the filthiest I’ve ever come across at a Motorway Service Station. There was an extra portacabin of shared male/female toilets outside the main building - but I decided to use the internal toilets thinking they would be cleaner. A number of the toilets were out of service. I had to try 3 toilets cubicles before finding one I was brave enough to use. The floors and toilets seats were covered in urine with one floor being covered in ladies’ blood (apologies for having to write that). There was a shortage of toilet paper, the sink areas were flooded and filthy - a horrible experience all round. This was a Sunday afternoon at around 2.30pm and the car park was just over half full - so being over-attended was no excuse! Roadchef HQ really needs to have at look at this facility! Absolute failure at management level.

Well signposted parking directions, very clean area outside. Not been here before so looked around for assistance I approached a man who was doing some cleaning in the main area to direct me to the toilets and he was very helpful and polite and showed me to the entrance of the facilities, He was around five feet ten with grey hair he told me that his name was Dave and he provided friendly excellent customer service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had to use the services due to a car breakdown Christine in the shop was incredibly helpful with advice and help. Also advised us on parking and made a note incase we got a fine.

I was exhausted after hours stuck in traffic and in a foul mood as I headed to the services…….i looked around and saw the usual choices McDonald’s and an overpriced shop selling loads of junk 🙄 then I saw Leon. It claimed healthy, delicious and fast food. I wondered over and looked at the menu and it looked great 😊 then this lovely person Lolia who had the patience of a saint came over and offered her assistance. She was very efficient but also friendly and had a lovely welcoming smile. Excellent customer service skills and managed extremely well during a very busy period. The food was wonderful and very tasty. I managed to get back on my way much calmer than I arrived 🤣 I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are passing by!

I asked for my drink to be extra hot and it was barely luke warm. This has happened twice this year whilst I've been on the motorway. When extra hot drinks are requested I expect them to be extra hot By the time I got out to the car I'd finished the drink. It's the coldest I've ever had a drink.

Don't go after 1800. Spar shut, Costa shut, No choice of food other than Mc D's and the pathetic overpriced offerings of Smiths. Costa machine in Smiths was tricky but eventually managed a warmish cup. Gents loo smelt like they did 20 years ago. I will never call again.

Well placed, very clean with lots of choices for a break whilst travelling on M5. Not long refurbed hence the popularity of this stop over

Got scammed by the man with the tech booth he over charged me £50 fully knowing that he had by the time I realised I was far away gave the service my number n asked he called me n when he did he just lied n lied saying it was the price

Came here to grab some lunch on the road with it being a service station, spent just under £10 and what I received wasn’t worth 10p. Cheeseburger that was more wonky than a amateur game of Tetris and my large fries (which first came out like medium fries so I complained about the size and they just refilled it, using the same disgusting floppy cold chips.) the fries were more like whips or string I could literally pretend I was a cowboy trying to capture a bull with their rope, instead of rope however it would’ve been these disgusting, floppy and cold chips. Nope I haven’t finished, lastly were my chicken selects, which weren’t even in the box they were loose in my bag and the box that they normally come within inside looked as if it went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. rips here and there and dents alll around it, so much so it almost looked the shape of a ball it was that moulded. Worst Mac Donald’s experience of my life, didn’t eat a single thing and has massively put me off going back to them, I would much rather support smaller businesses who actually care about their customer service and their products.

Stopped off at lunchtime. The order arrived quickly but we soon realised that this was because the food had obviously been waiting around as it was only slightly warm, even the tea was pre made , really strong and lukewarm!! Awful.

Terrible Mcdonalds , lots people waiting at 11am! Food was cold Waiting time shocking £16 wasted!!! Would use a different service station next time

Northbound is really quite ok although the layout can be tricky if you have an older partner. She went into the Gents loo ( not the first time ,the crazy old goose) Southbound loos much more clearly divided and no similar mistakes made . McDonald’s southbound had limitless ketchup dispenser but bbq soup dispenser was empty so lots of whinging! Hey Ho. It’s Xmas soon!

Rip off prices like all services. But toilets were awful. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a year.

Stopped for coffee and I popped to the ladies, and husband queued at costa. The toilets were disgusting. I managed to find one that didn’t have faeces spattered up the back but the lock was broken. I went into the toilet that that seemed the least disgusting but found the “sanitary” bin was overflowing. I heard another customer commenting on how grim the conditions were. When I came back out into the food area to meet my husband, I noticed that area was also unclean with food debris etc under tables. I have never left a review for a motorway service station but just had to in this case. I would never stop here again. So dirty.

We had been travelling from Spain and had a long drive ahead of us and decided to get something to eat on the way home. We got to these services at 8:30pm and only McDonald's and W.H.Smith's open. So we had no option but to choose McDonald's. We ordered 2x Crispy Chicken and Bacon Salads. First problem was, there was no mayo for the salad. Second, no forks (only a PAPER knife and SPOON, to eat a salad?) Next problem and the final straw, was there was no bacon in the Crispy Chicken and BACON Salad. I took it to the counter and pointed out that, firstly, we shouldn't have been sold a salad to eat in the 'restaurant' if there was no cutlery to eat the food with and secondly, why was there no bacon that we had paid extra for. I was offered two 'fresh' Chicken and Bacon salads, but I would have to wait for 'fresh' to be cooked, or just have some bacon 'thrown in', I opted for the latter (my husband and I were fed up after a loooong journey.) It appears that we were 'palmed off' with the 'Crispy Chicken Salad' as they had had them already cooked and it was hoped that the lack of bacon would go unnoticed!! Also, the staff was very unhelpful and just shrugged and said that no they didn't have mayo and no, they didn't have any forks (it was a kind of take it or leave it attitude) as I said we were hungry and tired, so decided to accept the situation and never return! We will NEVER go back

three times I've been here after 10pm everything closed for cleaning won't be open for a couple of hours supposed to be 24h

Stopped here for a refreshment break and to feed my 5 month old and wish I had stopped on the hard shoulder!! Baby changing facilities were disgusting (photos provided) no staff around to report it to will not stop at these services again even if it’s an emergency I will carry on past!!

the worst mcdonalds i have ever had. the fries and burger were so cold it went straight in the bin. when you have an experience like this you never return, but more importantly you tell any and everyone who will listen.

Slow service while all the staff seem to be stood around chatting ..the condiment counter and bins a disgrace and full all round. Food when it arrived Luke warm with very little lettuce and no pickles on either burger ordered…last 2 times I have stopped off here it was exactly the same ..really must remember to not stop here again …

Had my windscreen vandalised whilst I was in the loo. Huge crack across the driver’s side. It’s been hit at the base with what looks like a hammer. Won’t be stopping there again!

Best Bacon Butty in a LONG time from the Breakfast Kitchen. Clean, no queue’s, and good value for money! It was a Tuesday morning at 10:00am so expect it may have busier times. Prefer these services to 15 miles south at Bridgewater.

Went to McDonald’s and didn’t get any cutlery with the meal. Went to the till to ask for some cutlery but I was stood there for 5 minutes getting completed ignored. I got fed up and walked off very irritated, we will not be returning.

First impressions on entering this venue were good, we didn’t eat here, but again it was just a comfort stop. The toilets were impressive with the new air suction as opposed to flushed with water ..but... there was a tap constantly running and wasting gallons...

So my first review of 2020, and a new decade. Here we go. Sedgemore services Southbound in M5...on NYE 2019 called in, it was VERY quiet, only McDonalds and WHSmith were open, everything else was closed. Facilities were still clean. All good.

No problems at all here. Got all the food and drinks I wanted, despite being very busy, at what for a service area were reasonable prices. Parking fine, as were the toilets.

Stopped in Costa there today and purchased a tea cake and bacon roll. Both overpriced for what it was. Bacon roll looked and tasted like it had been under the hot plate all day. Not worth the money. Won’t be calling again.

Stopped in on way back from Bristol for some Maccies. Was very busy as place was full of Plymouth football fans on way home from Bristol game but staff coped very very well and looked use to this volume of people and pressure. Was number 67 in que and only 28 was up when place order on self service but my order was up and done within 10mins so can't fault at all. And everything (including Cheese Melts) tasted hot and fresh witch is always a gamble with any fast food place. Only slight downer was every bin in restaurant was over flowing and rubbish left on floor next to them as no staff on floor and everyone behind counter for all hands on deck. did see staff starting to empty as leaving but this good 20mins later when died down.

Popped in here on our way to Cardiff for a break, Most services are the same but found this quite clean &tidy, Nice clean toilets. Found the Costa site very good, Friendley staff & very helpfull. Quite a few eating venues with seating inside & outside. Well pleased with it.

I stopped to go inside to have a costa this morning (2/11) (7am) and it was one of the best services I’ve been given. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to serve me. They were really engaging and I felt like my custom was really valued. The Soya Flat White was one of the best I’ve ever been served. Honestly the three that served me are a credit to Costa as well as the services as a whole and made the stormy driving experience wholly more pleasant.

Stopped for a break from driving nice clean place plenty of different eating venues inside with indoor and outdoor areas to sit and eat food

Went to McDonald’s, the chips and the chicken nuggets were cold, very dirty place all the bins were full, with nowhere to put any packaging after I had eaten..

With the full flow of extra holiday makers i have seen this services struggle in the early days but this year its really got its act together.

Stopped for my usual latte at Sedgemoor services. Busy, but clean with loads of food choices. Lots of Costa counters so fast to get your daily coffee. Also McDonalds and noodle bar + shops

Won money on machine didn't pay out. Prices rediculous. Family's need a second mortgage to eat at these places. Give them a miss if you can. Only good point is the toilets.

Visited as part of a road trip. Stopped for lunch. There is a reasonable choice of places to eat, although not many tables to sit at. Although it was a busy Friday in August. Toilets were clean and tidy and well maintained.

Stopped on Saturday 25th May, couldn't cope with the volume of people, sign on services said fully open! Carpark full and cars parked on the grass. Ladies toilets had a twenty minute wait, que was so long, 2 staff in the toilet directing people to when a cubicle was free, there was at least 9 toilets out of order!!! ALL Toilets need to be working for a Bank Holiday weekend. They are in need a refurbishment, sinks also not working. Then got a drink to take away before going to the garage.

Needed to take a break off the M5. Plenty of car spaces. Well signed posted. Pick up a coffee. The normal high charge. Disappointed with the toilet facilities... Very untidy. Smell wasn’t nice at all. But the staff I met were very friendly.

We generally call into Sedgemoor Services Southboud on our way home to Torbay. To us these services offer us everything we need in terms of clean toilets, tasty coffee and plenty of food choices.

Clean, ok for a service station, good food friendly staff,fuel pricey nice veiws of the mendips, and truck spotting.

Stopped off at the sedgemoor services on the M5 on Thursday for a fuel and comfort stop. The fuel garage is operating under the shell banner, the main shop under road chef. Not the worst services - but far from perfect! Usual facilities and could have been cleaner.

Good of its type. Comfortable and good range of shops. We had a meal at the Burger King and there was something for everyone. Lovely chips and nice orange juice

Sadly the Cornish pasty kiosk was closed due to high winds and I wanted something hot to eat in the car while making a few phone calls. I’ve not eaten a Mac Donald’s for probably 15 years - and never will again. I chose a small cheeseburger and fries. The fries were the only decent part. The rest was truly unremarkable and although I ate it’s, I promised this was to be the last time. I’d sooner have had a sandwich.....avoid avoid...

Used to be a dreadful place to stop for a comfort break. Lot better now but always room for improvements.

Excellent service, extremely polite and happy member of staff that served us, was a pleasure to use.

As a regular visitor here, we notice more than the irregular visitor,

the M5 Northbound service stations between Exeter and Bristol are all so monumentally awful ( with Bridgewater at the top/bottom of this list) that I usually just keep going. But yesterday I just had to stop - sometimes, you do. So at Sedgemoor, I was not expecting much. The ladies's loos were very clean and had a friendly attendant - I have great respect and admiration for anyone who can carry on doing such a job with a smile. I know it wasn't a busy day but it did feel a calm area - it had the usual WHS, meaty fast food places...I called in at Starbucks to try out my new Oxfam take-away cup!!! good excuse hey. There were these foccacia with brie & cranberry - looked irresistible to me. So I had that and a latte. The staff were on task, made making the drink seem a fluent process ( unlike a lot of coffee places where it's a mammoth production drama and takes forever) - the pleasant young man toasted the focaccia for me. It was the most delicious thing. So I am inspired to write this review because on a long journey, things that make you drive happily are invaluable, and Startbucks - who knew? - came through for me! Thank you!!

Having being a regular traveler on route to Cornwall, this is possibly the best service station with an enclosed dog walking area.

We ordered southern fried chicken as per large menu board. When the meals arrived we were served 6 fried goujons, There was nothing on the board to suggest that this was what we were going to receive as we expected an actual piece of chicken. Goujons were overcooked breadcrumbs. Baked beans were described as BBQ but certainly were not at all

This is a great modern service station and is very clean. Toilets were very tidy and well maintained.
