Ordered 2 all day Breakfasts, 2 cakes and 2 coffees. The Breakfast was perfect, cooked to perfection with all quality ingredients. The cakes were fresh and delicious as were the coffees. Shame it’s not local to us. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Surprised that the cafe was so quiet at a lunchtime. My first choice was unavailable as they had run out of mushrooms! Opted for a jacket potato with cheese, which was quickly delivered, but I was disappointed that coleslaw was on the plate with the salad and cheese, I hate coleslaw and expected it to come in a little container so I could give it to my husband. The jacket potato was fine apart from that. Hubby had a tuna and cheese melt which he enjoyed, but we had to wait for cutlery which was ridiculous considering the cafe was almost empty! Very disappointed and it could be so much better as it is in a prime position in Louth.

15 of us turned up without booking and this wonderful place welcomed us in and gave us a great breakfast service. We really can’t thank the wonderful staff enough. The cafe is clean, the food is great and the staff are friendly and capable. It was the perfect end to our visit up north

lots of good reviews led us to try this place for breakfast. it was bright and airy, and nicely decorated, but noise travelled so hard to have a conversation till we moved to the other side of the room! The service was just so slow, there was only 1 other table being used, but we didn't get our food till at least 15 minutes after them. The food was very disappointing, dry and overcooked egg and bacon, and tasteless mushrooms and sausages. I wouldn't bother again

It really is secret - hidden away above the Cooplands bakery. I'm so glad I found it listed in Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. I wanted a break from the hordes of people in Mablethorpe, so headed to Louth for some shopping. This is definitely the best cafe I have found in Louth for breakfast. The cafe was spotlessly clean and I had a table that overlooked the shopping street. The ladies who served the breakfast were polite and well-spoken. The English Breakfast was cooked perfectly and came with a free pot of tea. (The tea pot poured easily without any spillage too, unlike in many places.) My only small criticism was that the plate was a bit small for the size of the breakfast. The bacon was so nice I that I couldn't resist wrapping up the second slice and taking it home to make a bacon buttie for later. (Shh! Don't tell anybody!) I think I'll be going shopping in Louth more often in future!

My wife and I called in on Monday lunchtime for a drink and a bite to eat. The café as very clean and was obviously following Covid procedures. We each had a ploughman's lunch and a drink, which looked and tasted lovely. It was simple but wholesome food, nicely prepared and we felt very safe visiting and eating here. The staff were lovely and we would certainly call again.

Have had full English breakfast with drink as a deal which is excellent value. Also had bacon bap which again was excellent. If you want decaf coffee they will do this and you can have got milk if you wish. The staff here are excellent, always welcoming and friendly. It is upstairs so could be a problem for people with mobility issues. However, it is worth a visit.

We called in here for lunch. Not been here before and first time in Louth. The service was very good and quick. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had sandwiches and toasted sandwich all of which were very tasty. We enjoyed the visit so much that we did visit again later in the week and found everything as we did on our first visit. The premises were very clean. So too were the toilets.

We used to come regularly, but unfortunately the service and particularly the portions have declined to such an extent that we will not visit again. The café started off very well, but another place in Louth (a national chain) provides just as good food, with much more generous portions and far cheaper.

We called in to this cafe mid-afternoon for a pot of tea. It is situated above a bakery (with an array of tempting cakes) and is accessed by stairs. The room itself is divided into three areas: a large tabled area at the front and a smaller area in the back shared with the serve yourself style servery.

Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. Some vege options (menu on their website), access is up stairs from inside Cooplands, and there is a step between the seating area and till area of the cafe. It does not get too loud or busy even at lunch time, and there is music playing quietly in the background.

Expected to walk into a small tea room type cafe...but we walked into a large well decorated clean very welcoming area. The food counter was on your right which had lots of fresh sandwiches cakes etc etc. The lady that served us was very friendly and helpful. I had a pot of tea for 1...but they actually not only give you a pot of tea but also a jug with hot water init so i got 3 cups of tea for £1.62 !!!!! Also had toasted tea loaf.....very delicious.

Visiting Louth on 10 April 17 found this lovely place for lunch, we ordered our food at the food bar and paid but the lady serving had a problem putting the order in the till and seemed a bit confused. We went to a table and looked at the menu and worked out we had been overcharged by £1.20, when the same person that had served us came out to clean the table next to us I said I think we have been overcharged but wasn't given a receipt to check. She walked away and started telling another member of staff, I overheard her say what does he want a receipt for, no one ever came back to explain if I had been overcharged or not. Such a pity about this because I will never go back and have mentioned it to a couple of friends, it was them that said I should write a review.

This was our first visit to this cafe, and it won't be our last. We opted for a cooked breakfast with toast and tea. At under £8 for two, it was excellent value for money. The cafe was very pleasant, clean, bright and airy. Toilets were clean. The staff were friendly. I don't think wheelchair users could visit as there are too many steps. There seems to be a good variety on the menu too.

We were walking through Louth looking for somewhere to get something to eat quickly and never even knew Cooplands had a string of cafes! It was lovely, great value for money and our lunch tasted so fresh! What made the visit to the cafe so enjoyable was the lovely staff. The woman behind the till was training another girl up I think but they were both so chatty, polite, helpful and genuinely nice people. The service was excellent and a lot better than many other similar cafes I have visited. They are a credit to the company. I will not hesitate to eat her again when in Louth.

On holiday in Lincolnshire and stopped off in Louth for lunch and found the Secret Garden Cafe. My wife and I both chose a different salad and they were tasty, colourful and beautifully plated and the staff were so very welcoming and pleasant. We didn't have time to look around the shops after lunch but returned a couple of days later and again lunched at the Secret Garden. We both chose different salads and they were superb. There were various hot dishes available but as our visits coincided with a mini heatwave we really didn't need any hot food. We were also tempted by the fresh cream cakes which were delicious.

The cafe looks nice, clean and airy, however there was no choice of coffee other than milky or not, no cappuccino, latte etc, the beef and onion sandwich was poor, the beef looked like it had spent all dy languishing in boiling water to the point that all taste had been removed and the onions were pale and inciped like they had just been chopped and warmed up in the microwave. On the plus point the cake was nice, but what a disappointment - we will not be returning.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back

An unassuming little place that offers a friendly welcome and excellent, attentive service. It's got a cosy, slightly bio/eco feeling with very interesting plants and an insect hotel outside the door. Menu is limited but more than adequate for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nice music playing unobtrusively in the background too. A really great touch is their bottomless cup for tea or coffee. Blink and you'll miss this place as you drive along the busy and fast A52 between Boston and Skegness. It's on a cross-roads just after the main Friskney village turn-off travelling NE. But DON'T miss it because it really is a worthwhile pit-stop. Opposite, down the lane towards the Wash, there is some brilliant wild walking.
