Second Cup in Cardiff

This coffee shop has closed. There is a notice on the door that the landlord has repossessed the premise. A sad day as it had a friendly atmosphere and nice comfortable chairs😥

Good range of coffee blends and very helpful, friendly staff. Good WiFi and plenty of space inside if you need to catch up with stuff. Pleasant pavement cafe area too.

Had a fab mug of Coffee with Toast butter and Jam. The service was excellent with friendly helpful staff.

This place was a great little find. From the outside it looks like your average local coffee shop which serves good tasting honest coffee and a reasonable price. I was not disappointed! With a huge selection of different coffees to try, including several varieties of filter coffee. A perfect place for a non formal meeting or just to grab a good cup of coffee.

Very disappointed with my trip to second cup last week which is one of my favourite coffee shops, went in on my half an lunch with 15 minutes to spare to order a frozen chocolate cookies and cream drink, there was a queue and only two people working one female and one male; the female was serving the drinks and the male was taking the drinks orders, however, once the male had no more orders to take, rather than helping the female serve the drinks, he just stood there, now at this point time was ticking as I had to go back to work. So I mentioned that I’ve got to go could I possibly have a refund which they were willing to give but then could not open the till for some unknown reason was then offered a free drink but I did not have to take the offer as I literally had to go back to work, therefore I spent £3.55 for nothing. Very disappointed with the service.

Two hours in trawling the shops with my teenager kids and the wife I just had to park my bum and take a chill. The coffee was brill no rush setting with lovely staff.

Came here because I think they were still picking the beans in Costa as the queue didn't move in many minutes... Absolutely charming staff and a most delicious coffee! Never been here before but will definitely return. Perfect, smooth cappuccino.

Such a nice cafe and the staff are brilliant too. I always visit this cafe on my lunch break and they never disappoint. Thanks guys

On our way through to the National Museum, we stopped off at the centrally placed “Second Cup” for good coffee and snacks. Particularly good welcoming staff and comfortable seating and will will certainly call again on our next visit to the City.

A fantastic little find in heart of cardiff centre which we have returned to several times. Always a lovely cup of coffee/latte. On this recent visit I upgraded to try their signature hot chocolate ( cookies and cream) was not disappointed it was amazing. Offer an amazing deal of grilled sandwich/ panini etc, medium hot drink and crisps or cookie for £4.99. Well worth the money best value I’ve found in town centre to date.

second cup coffee is 100% my favourite cafe in Cardiff centre. atmosphere - super chill, upstairs is amazing and so good for having somewhere to do work staff - so friendly. couldn't be more helpful. one time I didn't like my drink bevause it was too strong for me and free of charge they gave me a totally different drink and no fuss was made at all coffee and food - HUGE variety of drinks! vegan options almond milk etc matcha, syrups, different types of coffee beans! cold drinks, Italian ice (kinda like slush puppies just a mild nicer version) check it out! you won't be disappointed

Right in the city centre shopping area this little cafe is clean and cozy. Very pleasant staff who I guess actually are the enters. Pleasantly greeted with a smile we ordered from a good selection of teas and a very nice hot chocolate. Accompanying pastries were fresh and tasty. Worth a future visit.

A welcome break during a morning of shopping. Friendly staff and delicious coffee made for a great experience. Sadly the toilets left a lot to be desired - stylish but dirty. We thought we’d found the perfect place but disappointed unfortunately.

It's always a pleasure to find a good, independent coffee shop, and Second Cup is one, right in the centre of Cardiff: very good coffee and other beverages (my wife had an excellent hot apple cider), nice range of cakes and friendly helpful staff

we like this coffee shop as the staff are friendly and it is not over priced but more importantly the drinks they serve are hot not luke warm like many of the big chain coffee shops
